Definitions

  • Wall for a furniture body method of making such a wall and furniture body or furniture with such a wall
  • the invention relates to a wall for a furniture body, which has a core and a housing arranged next thereto, which is open at least to one end side of the wall and which serves to receive a fitting which guides a movable furniture part.
  • the invention further relates to a method for producing a wall for a furniture body and a furniture or furniture body with at least one such wall.
  • Furniture in particular kitchen furniture such as base cabinets or wall cabinets usually have a forwardly open furniture body, are mounted on the guided on fittings movable furniture parts.
  • the movably guided furniture parts can be drawers with a drawer front or doors o flaps that can be used in a furniture body individually or in different combinations.
  • the present application relates in particular to the use of doors and flaps as movable furniture parts.
  • doors and flaps are distinguished by the orientation of their pivot axis, which is horizontal in the case of doors and horizontally in the case of flaps.
  • the doors and flaps can in this case be in one piece or consist of several individual parts, such as a folding flap, in which different parts of the flap move relative to one another in the course of movement.
  • hinges are generally used, which are arranged on the side of the pivot axis between the furniture body and door.
  • a comparable arrangement of hinges can basically also be used for flaps. These hinges are then arranged along an upper side edge of the flap.
  • flaps are then arranged along an upper side edge of the flap.
  • flap fittings have been established, which are not arranged along the pivot axis between the furniture body and the flap, but laterally at (usually both) side edges between the flap and the side wall of the furniture body.
  • Such door hinges or flap fittings are known for mounting on an inner side of the side wall or the side walls of the furniture body.
  • the fittings inevitably protrude into the interior of the furniture body, which on the one hand reduces the usable storage space within the furniture body and on the other also impairs structuring of the interior of the furniture body.
  • a side wall on which no fittings are mounted desirable for visual reasons.
  • Flap hinges usually have a large installation depth in the range of more than 1 0 or 1 5 cm (centimeters), which can not be achieved by milling from the front side.
  • a side wall for a furniture body which consists of sections of different parts.
  • a rear, the furniture front facing away part is conventionally formed, for. B. by a coated wood element.
  • a front part the side wall is formed by an unspecified in the cited document housing having a frontal opening into which a fitting can be inserted.
  • the housing is connected, for example via dowels or screws with the conventional part of the side wall. Since the housing can be provided with thinner housing walls, as is possible by a milled recess and also allows greater installation depths, this housing can also be used to accommodate larger door hinges or a flap fitting.
  • the surface appearance and feel of the housing will typically not exactly match that of the conventional part of the sidewall, so that a uniform surface of the sidewall can not be obtained. In addition, a transition between the two housing parts will be visible and possibly also be felt.
  • Document DE 1 0 201 5 108 694 A1 describes a furniture body with an upwardly pivotable flap, which is guided by hinges which are arranged along the upper side edge of the flap. It is also provided a support device for the flap to support the weight of the flap in the (partially) opened state.
  • the support device is inserted in a housing designed as a profile, which forms a front part of the side wall. The profile extends over the entire height of the side wall.
  • sliding guides for sliding shoes which are part of the weight balance, formed.
  • the profile is connected via a tongue and groove joint with a core of the side wall, which is made of a wood material, at the front side of the side wall with the aid of adhesives fen.
  • the side wall is provided in the region of the core with a uniform cover layer.
  • a cover layer is also applied to the core.
  • the fitting system shown here is thus a normal side wall on which the carpenter has to mill a groove on the face side in order to mount the weight compensation on the side wall.
  • a uniform surface appearance and feel is not achieved because the fitting on the side wall forms a disturbing visible surface.
  • the design options of the interior is limited.
  • This object is achieved by a wall, by a method for the production of a wall and a furniture carcass or a furniture with a wall having the features of the respective independent claim.
  • Advantageous embodiments and further developments are the subject of the dependent claims.
  • a wall according to the invention of the type mentioned above is characterized in that the core and the housing are covered on at least one side surface of the wall by a continuous cover layer.
  • An inventive method for producing such a wall for a furniture body has the following steps. There is provided a plate-shaped core and a housing for receiving a fitting or a housing with a fitting arranged therein. The core and the housing are connected along each one of its end faces and two lateral cover layers are applied to the arrangement of core and housing.
  • the wall of the invention is thus a composite element of a core, a housing and cover layers, the housing used to hold the fitting according to the invention is already introduced in the manufacture of the wall before the cover layers are applied.
  • the size of the housing there are no restrictions on the size of the housing, as in the case of incorporation of a housing for fitting in a wall already provided with cover layers.
  • cover layers large, in their depth, for example, the entire or almost entire width of the wall engaging fittings can be used.
  • the wall has on both side surfaces in each case a preferably one-piece, continuous cover layer.
  • the fitting can be used before the application of the cover layers in the housing or only be inserted into the housing after the cover layers are applied.
  • the wall of the core and the housing are covered on both side surfaces of a continuous cover layer, whereby a uniform appearance without offset stages is achieved.
  • the core and the housing abut against one another at a respective end face, which extends over at least part of the extent of the wall.

  • connecting means and receptacles are provided, such as connecting pins and holes.
  • the connecting means may preferably be integrally formed on the housing, so that they need not be arranged with additional effort in the assembly process.
  • said connecting pins may be formed on the housing and the holes may be formed in the core.
  • connection means can also be combined, for example a tongue and groove connection along a first connection side and a connection with connection pins on an angularly disposed second connection side.
  • the core and / or the housing may be glued to the cover layers, so that a stable composite is formed.
  • the housing has connecting elements in order to fasten an inserted fitting in the housing.
  • the connecting elements can comprise a slide-in profile, in order to be able to insert the fitting comfortably into the housing before or after completion of the wall and to be able to attach it there.
  • the housing has side plates which rest against the cover layers.
  • the side plates are preferably dimensionally stable and in particular designed to absorb lateral compressive forces. Such compressive forces are exerted, for example, when the cover layers are laminated.
  • the dimensional stability of the housing prevents compression during lamination.
  • a (already set) fitting additional stabilizing elements to absorb lateral compressive forces are also provided.
  • the side plates at a distance corresponding to the thickness of the core, so that no paragraph in the cover layers is apparent.
  • the fitting has a lever mechanism which guides the movable furniture part.
  • the lever mechanism is located between the cover layers. The fitting is then so completely integrated into the furniture body, that - unavoidably - only the lever mechanism, and this only in the open state of the movable furniture part, is visible.
  • At least one Kantenumleimer is applied to at least one of the end face of the core and the housing.
  • the edge band is applied only when the housing is integrated or inserted, wherein the edge band is at least partially arranged on the housing.
  • the edges of the side plates of the housing can be covered.
  • the at least one Kantenumleimer is applied when a fitting is already arranged in the housing and the wall. In that case, the edge trimmer may also cover edges of side plates of the fitting.
  • An inventive furniture or furniture body has at least one such wall, which is made according to a method described above. This results in the advantages described in connection with the wall or the method.
  • the at least one wall is a side wall and / or an intermediate wall with a housing, wherein a fitting is inserted into the housing.
  • the fitting may be a flap fitting or a door fitting.
  • the wall according to the invention can be arranged on each side of the furniture body, regardless of their orientation.
