Definitions
- the invention relates to a wall of a furniture body with a fitting for guiding a movable furniture part and at least one core, with the at least one core and the fitting being arranged between two continuous cover layers, and a further fitting for guiding a structuring element.
- the invention also relates to a furniture body or a piece of furniture with such a wall.
- Furniture in particular kitchen furniture such as lower, upper or hanging cabinets, generally have a furniture body which is open towards the front and on which movable furniture parts guided by fittings are mounted.
- the movably guided furniture parts can be drawers with a drawer front or doors or flaps that can be used individually or in different combinations in a furniture body.
- the present application relates in particular to the use of doors and flaps as movable furniture parts.
- doors and flaps are differentiated by the orientation of their pivot axis, which runs vertically for doors and horizontally for flaps.
- the doors and flaps can be in one piece or consist of several individual elements, such as a folding flap, in which different parts of the flap move relative to one another in the course of movement.
- Door hinges which are arranged on the side of the pivot axis between the furniture body and the door, are generally used to guide doors.
- a comparable arrangement of hinges can in principle also be used for flaps. These hinges are then arranged along an upper side edge of the flap.
- flaps it is often desirable to open the flaps in a combined pivoting and sliding movement, for example in the case of a wall cabinet, to gain the greatest possible access to the interior of the cabinet without the flap having to be pivoted into a horizontal position in which it can be used by the user cannot be reached or can only be reached with difficulty for closing.
- special flap fittings have become established, which are not arranged along the pivot axis between the furniture body and the flap, but laterally on (usually both) side edges between the flap and the side wall of the furniture body.
- Such door hinges or flap fittings for mounting on an inside of the side wall or side walls of the furniture body are known.
- the fittings unavoidably protrude into the interior of the furniture body, which on the one hand reduces the usable storage space inside the furniture body and on the other hand also impairs a subdivision or structuring of the interior of the furniture body.
- body dividers or comparable structuring elements are generally provided, which divide the interior into smaller compartments or units in order to have more floor space available and to structure the interior.
- a carcass divider is a horizontal or vertical partition.
- a horizontal partition is also often referred to as a false floor.
- the carcass dividers can preferably be easily mounted in different positions. This can be done without tools, so that the user can insert the carcass dividers into the carcass as required and in variable positions. For example, it is known for this purpose to provide two rows of holes with equally spaced bores in each side wall of the furniture body. Plugs are inserted into these at the desired height, on which an intermediate shelf can be positioned.
- an intermediate shelf for example, the flexibility of positioning an intermediate shelf, for example, is limited since the fittings that are used to guide the doors or flaps of the furniture are usually mounted on the side wall.
- An intermediate floor can, for example, only be arranged above or below such a fitting, or a cutout or notch must be made manually and in individual cases in the corresponding intermediate floor in order to keep the space occupied by the fitting statically or also during the opening movement free.
- the structuring elements used provide a larger footprint, but this is not necessarily easily accessible.
- Flap hinges usually have a large installation depth of more than 10 or 15 cm (centimetres), which cannot be achieved by milling from the front side.
- a side wall for a furniture body which consists in sections of different parts.
- a rear part facing away from the furniture front is of conventional design, e.g. B. by a coated wooden element.
- a front part of the side wall is formed by a housing, which is not described in detail in the document mentioned, which has at least one front opening into which a fitting can be inserted.
- the housing is connected to the conventional part of the side wall, for example by means of dowels or screws. Since the housing can be provided with thinner housing walls than is possible with milling and also allows greater installation depths, this housing can also be used to accommodate larger door hinges or a flap fitting.
- the surface look and feel of the housing will usually not exactly match that of the conventional part of the side wall, so that a uniform surface of the side wall cannot be obtained.
- the design options for the interior space are also severely restricted here, since attachment of body dividers or other structuring elements for the interior space to the housing of the fitting is not possible or is only possible with great effort.
- the pamphlet EP 3 066 956 A1 describes a side wall of a piece of furniture that is constructed in a frame construction by connecting horizontal and vertical profiles to one another.
- parallel guide profiles are arranged in the side wall, which are provided with a groove and which serve to guide and adjust the height of, for example, an intermediate floor of the piece of furniture.
- a fitting is also integrated into the wall, with which a door or flap can be guided.
- the fitting is arranged in interstices of the frame construction in a housing mounted there.
- the side wall constructed in this way can advantageously also accommodate larger fittings such as flap fittings and, with the integrated guide, offers the possibility of arranging structuring elements in the interior of the piece of furniture.
- the structure as a frame construction is very complex and does not require conventional manufacturing processes for the furniture sector.
- Another object is to describe a piece of furniture or a piece of furniture with such a wall.
- the fitting is integrated into the wall of the furniture body, the entire side of the wall is available as a surface to which the additional fitting can be attached. Movements of the structuring element are not impeded by parts of the fitting for the movable furniture part, in particular the door or flap.
- a pivoting fitting can be used as a further fitting, on which an intermediate floor is pivoted about a horizontal axis from the interior of the furniture body. The intermediate floor moves along the inner top layer of the (Side) wall of the furniture body, which would not be possible if this area were occupied by the door or flap fitting.
- the invention proves particularly advantageous when the vertical projection surfaces of the outlines of the fitting integrated into the wall and of the further fitting as well as the areas swept over by the respective movement sequences at least partially overlap.
- the at least one core is arranged in one plane with the fitting.
- Fitting and core are also arranged between two continuous cover layers and are preferably connected to the core and/or at least one of the cover layers, in particular laminated on. This means that an installation width is available for the fitting that corresponds at most to the thickness of the core. Fittings with a width of up to about 20 mm can also be used with a furniture wall of the usual thickness.
- the at least one further fitting is attached to one or both cover layers.
- the further fitting can also be arranged in the area of the wall in which the integrated fitting is positioned.
- fastening means for the further fitting can also reach into the integrated fitting at a suitable point.
- the at least one further fitting is a pivoting fitting in order to guide the movable structuring element in a plane parallel to the top layers.
- a fitting has, for example, a lever mechanism with levers which are pivotably mounted on the wall in pivot bearings.
- an intermediate floor can be swiveled out of a furniture body.
- the at least one further fitting can be a guide fitting according to the invention in order to linearly move the movable structuring element horizontally by guide rails.
- an intermediate floor can be arranged so that it can be moved out of a furniture body.
- the at least one further fitting is fastened with fastening means in holes in the cover layer. It is also possible that at least one such hole penetrates into an area provided on the fitting in order to provide a fastening means for the take further fitting.
- the fitting can have sleeve-like recesses that are positioned behind the bore through the cover layer. Those areas of the fitting that receive fastening means are preferably formed from solid material that differs from the base material of the fitting.
- the base material of the fitting is usually metal, while the solid material is preferably plastic or wood.
- the integrated fitting has a lever system that guides the movable furniture part, with the lever system being located between the cover layers when the movable furniture part is in the closed state.
- the fitting is then completely in the furniture body integrated that - unavoidable - only the lever system, and this only when the movable furniture part is open, is visible.
- the lever system is arranged in a front area of the fitting.
- An energy accumulator for applying force to the lever system is arranged in a rear area of the fitting.
- the energy accumulator is used, for example, to compensate for the weight of a guided furniture part, e.g. a flap.
- An area for the borehole for the fastening means for the further fitting can then preferably be located between the lever mechanism and the energy store in the integrated fitting.
- At least one edge band is applied to at least one of the end faces of the core.
- the edge band is preferably only applied when the fitting is integrated or inserted, with the edge band being arranged at least in sections on the fitting. In this way, for example, the edges of the side plates of the fitting can be covered.
- a piece of furniture according to the invention or a furniture body according to the invention is characterized by the use of at least one such wall, for example as a side wall, partition and/or top, bottom or intermediate floor.
- at least one such wall for example as a side wall, partition and/or top, bottom or intermediate floor.
- the wall has a door or flap fitting as a fitting.
- the wall can represent any flat component of the furniture body, regardless of its orientation.
- the wall can be a (vertical) side wall or partition or a (horizontal) top, bottom or intermediate floor.
- An oblique, for example diagonal, arrangement is also possible.
- FIG. 1 shows in the upper left part of the picture an isometric representation of a wall cabinet, for example a kitchen, as a first exemplary embodiment of a piece of furniture with a (side) wall according to the application.
- the hanging cupboard comprises a furniture body 10 with a bottom panel 11 and top panel 12 and two side walls 13.
- a rear wall is preferably present for reasons of stability, among other things, but is not shown in this exemplary embodiment.
- the furniture body 10 is open at the front to gain access to the interior of the cabinet.
- a one-piece flap 20 is provided here in order to be able to close the opening of the furniture body 10 .
- the one-piece flap 20 is pivotable along its upper horizontal side edge.
- fittings 30 are provided, which are connected to the one-piece flap 20 with a lever mechanism 31 in the upper region of the latter.
- the fittings 30 are arranged within the respective side wall 13 (apart from the lever mechanism 31 which is extended in the open position shown). When the flap 20 is in the closed state, the lever mechanism 31 is completely retracted into the side wall 13 , except for assembly elements for connection to the flap 20 .
- the side walls 13 are designed as composite elements 40, in which the fitting 30 is integrated.
- An exemplary structure of such a composite element 40 is further below in connection with 2 explained in more detail.
- a pivotable intermediate floor 50 is arranged in the hanging cabinet as a structuring element for the interior of the furniture body 10 .
- the swiveling intermediate shelf 50 is in Fig. 1a in a pivoted and in Fig. 1b rendered in a downward and forward pivoted position.
- the pivotable intermediate floor 50 comprises a floor 51 and two side parts 52.
- a rear wall or a rear wall segment can be provided at the height of the side parts 52 or at a lower or higher height deviating therefrom.
- the pivotable intermediate floor 50 is fastened on both sides via a further fitting 60 on the corresponding side wall 13 and thus on the composite element 40 .
- the other fitting 60 each has a lever system 61, which consists of two levers here, which allow a pivoting movement of the intermediate floor 50 while maintaining the horizontal orientation of the floor 51.
- the lever system 61 is fixed to the intermediate floor 50 via pivot bearings 53 and to the respective composite element 40 via pivot bearings 62 .
- the intermediate shelf 50 can be swiveled down and out to the front, as is shown in Fig. 1b is visible. Due to the pivoting movement caused by the two further fittings 60, the pivotable intermediate shelf 50 moves over the stored goods arranged in the lower part of the furniture carcass 10.
- a damping unit can be provided, which dampens the lowering of the intermediate floor 50 .
- the damping unit can include one or more linear or rotary dampers, for example one for each additional fitting 60.
- the pivotable intermediate floor 50 essentially fills the entire width of the interior of the furniture carcass 10 . Only a narrow gap remains between the side parts 52 and the respective adjacent side wall 13 for receiving the lever mechanism 61 of the further fitting 60, inclusive a free space so that the lever system 61 does not drag along the top layer 43 or the side part 52 during movement.
- the fittings 30, which carry the flap 20, are arranged within the connecting elements 40, a pivoting movement, such as that performed by the pivotable intermediate floor 50 and in particular the side parts 52, is only possible in the first place.
- the continuous cover layer 43 offers fastening options for the further fitting 60, in this case the pivot bearing 62, positioned as desired over the entire surface.
- the further fitting 60 could also be fastened in the area of the fitting 30, for example, if this is necessary.
- a further fitting 60 can be arranged on each of the two sides of the composite element 40.
- FIG. 2 shows a possible structure of such a composite element 40 in an isometric exploded view and also illustrates its production.
- the composite element 40 has a core 41, for example made of chipboard or a medium or high-density fiberboard (MDF medium density fiberboard or HDF high density fiberboard) or a lightweight board.
- the fitting 30 is arranged in the same plane as the core 41 and preferably with the same thickness, such that the core 41 and the fitting 30 complement each other in shape and size so that together they essentially have the dimensions of the composite element 40 or the side wall 13 in the furniture body 10 according to 1 exhibit.
- the core 41 is in one piece and connects only below the fitting 30 . It can alternatively be provided to also arrange a further core element on other sides of the fitting 30, in particular on its upper side.
- the core 41 and the fitting 30 can be connected to one another via connecting elements (not shown here), for example screws, clamps, pins, staples or the like.
- An adhesive connection can also be provided in addition to the connection elements mentioned or as the only connection.
- Cover layers 42, 43 are applied, in particular glued or laminated, to the arrangement of the core 41 and the fitting 30 that may be connected thereto, from each side.
- the fitting 30 is selected with regard to its material and the material thickness, for example of side plates 301 of the fitting 30, so that it is not dented even during a lamination process, which could lead to an unevenness in the surface of the cover layers 42, 43. Smaller bumps in the side plates of the fitting 30 are compensated by the cover layers 42, 43. Such smaller bumps can, for example, be caused by the bearing points of bolts that are used for the pivotable mounting of the lever mechanism 31 in the fitting 30 .
- the fitting 30 is fully integrated into the composite element 40 . Its lever system 31 occurs on a front end face 411 of the core 41 when the movable furniture part is opened (e.g. the flap 20 according to Fig. 1a, b ) from the composite element 40 out. When the movable furniture part is closed, the fitting 30 is located completely - possibly with the exception of assembly elements of the lever system 31 - within the composite element 40.
- lever system 61 is shown as an example in a pivoted-out position.
- the core 41 can be divided in the plane of the lateral extension of the composite element 40, so that two core halves, for example, each half the material thickness (compared to the in 2 shown core 41) are present. A recess into which the fitting 30 is inserted is made in each of the core halves.
- the core halves enclose the covering 30 like a shell and are connected to one another.
- FIG 3 shows a top view of the front face 411 of a section of a composite element 40 in the area of the fitting 30.
- an edge band 44 is applied to the front face 411 of the core 41 and thus of the composite element 40 as a narrow-side coating.
- Other edge bands can be applied in the area of other end faces.
- the edge band 49 is recessed.
- the edge band 44 is applied to the front face 411 after the fitting 34 has been integrated into the composite element 40 or after the fitting 30 has been inserted into the composite element 40 .
- the edge band 44 is cut out in such a way that it partially rests on the fitting 30 and, for example, covers the edges of the side plates 301 of the fitting 30 or other elements which are visible outside the opening of the fitting 30 .
- the outlines of the fitting 30 are indicated by dashed lines. Due to the arrangement of the edge band 44 on sections of the fitting 30, the fitting 30--apart from the extendable lever system 31--is fully integrated into the composite element 40 and is no longer visible on the front face 411 of the composite element 40.

Description
The invention relates to a wall of a furniture body with a fitting for guiding a movable furniture part and at least one core, with the at least one core and the fitting being arranged between two continuous cover layers, and a further fitting for guiding a structuring element. The invention also relates to a furniture body or a piece of furniture with such a wall.
Furniture, in particular kitchen furniture such as lower, upper or hanging cabinets, generally have a furniture body which is open towards the front and on which movable furniture parts guided by fittings are mounted. The movably guided furniture parts can be drawers with a drawer front or doors or flaps that can be used individually or in different combinations in a furniture body. The present application relates in particular to the use of doors and flaps as movable furniture parts. In the context of this application, doors and flaps are differentiated by the orientation of their pivot axis, which runs vertically for doors and horizontally for flaps.
The doors and flaps can be in one piece or consist of several individual elements, such as a folding flap, in which different parts of the flap move relative to one another in the course of movement.
Door hinges, which are arranged on the side of the pivot axis between the furniture body and the door, are generally used to guide doors. A comparable arrangement of hinges can in principle also be used for flaps. These hinges are then arranged along an upper side edge of the flap. However, it is often desirable to open the flaps in a combined pivoting and sliding movement, for example in the case of a wall cabinet, to gain the greatest possible access to the interior of the cabinet without the flap having to be pivoted into a horizontal position in which it can be used by the user cannot be reached or can only be reached with difficulty for closing. For this reason, special flap fittings have become established, which are not arranged along the pivot axis between the furniture body and the flap, but laterally on (usually both) side edges between the flap and the side wall of the furniture body.
Such door hinges or flap fittings for mounting on an inside of the side wall or side walls of the furniture body are known. However, the fittings unavoidably protrude into the interior of the furniture body, which on the one hand reduces the usable storage space inside the furniture body and on the other hand also impairs a subdivision or structuring of the interior of the furniture body.
For the effective and clear use of the interior of a furniture body, body dividers or comparable structuring elements are generally provided, which divide the interior into smaller compartments or units in order to have more floor space available and to structure the interior. In the simplest case, such a carcass divider is a horizontal or vertical partition. A horizontal partition is also often referred to as a false floor.
In order to enable a high level of flexibility, the carcass dividers can preferably be easily mounted in different positions.
In practice, however, the flexibility of positioning an intermediate shelf, for example, is limited since the fittings that are used to guide the doors or flaps of the furniture are usually mounted on the side wall. An intermediate floor can, for example, only be arranged above or below such a fitting, or a cutout or notch must be made manually and in individual cases in the corresponding intermediate floor in order to keep the space occupied by the fitting statically or also during the opening movement free. Particularly in the case of cabinets that are installed above or below eye level, the structuring elements used provide a larger footprint, but this is not necessarily easily accessible.
However, this procedure is only suitable for door hinges with a very small installation depth. This is due to the limited milling depth with which such a pocket can be economically milled from the front side into the side wall in the manufacturing process. The installation thickness of the door hinge inserted into such a milled pocket is also very limited since side walls in the furniture sector only have a wall thickness of around 16-20 mm (millimeters). During the milling process, a certain minimum wall thickness must remain on the side of the milled pockets, since a wall that is too thin would tear or break during the milling process or would be deformed in such a way that it no longer has a perfect surface.
Even the use of larger and more complex door hinges is not possible in this way. Flap hinges usually have a large installation depth of more than 10 or 15 cm (centimetres), which cannot be achieved by milling from the front side.
It is an object of the present invention to create a wall of a furniture body in which larger fittings, in particular flap fittings or door hinges with a greater installation depth, can also be used, in which there is great flexibility in the use of structuring elements for the interior of the furniture body is given in which an additional footprint created by the structuring elements is easily accessible and which can be easily manufactured and processed using conventional manufacturing methods used in furniture construction. Another object is to describe a piece of furniture or a piece of furniture with such a wall.
This problem is solved by a wall and a furniture body or a piece of furniture with the features of the respective independent claim. Advantageous refinements and developments are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
Because the fitting is integrated into the wall of the furniture body, the entire side of the wall is available as a surface to which the additional fitting can be attached. Movements of the structuring element are not impeded by parts of the fitting for the movable furniture part, in particular the door or flap. For example, a pivoting fitting can be used as a further fitting, on which an intermediate floor is pivoted about a horizontal axis from the interior of the furniture body. The intermediate floor moves along the inner top layer of the (Side) wall of the furniture body, which would not be possible if this area were occupied by the door or flap fitting.
The invention proves particularly advantageous when the vertical projection surfaces of the outlines of the fitting integrated into the wall and of the further fitting as well as the areas swept over by the respective movement sequences at least partially overlap. According to the invention, the at least one core is arranged in one plane with the fitting. Fitting and core are also arranged between two continuous cover layers and are preferably connected to the core and/or at least one of the cover layers, in particular laminated on. This means that an installation width is available for the fitting that corresponds at most to the thickness of the core. Fittings with a width of up to about 20 mm can also be used with a furniture wall of the usual thickness.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the wall, the at least one further fitting is attached to one or both cover layers. In this way, the further fitting can also be arranged in the area of the wall in which the integrated fitting is positioned. Alternatively, fastening means for the further fitting can also reach into the integrated fitting at a suitable point.
According to the invention, the at least one further fitting is a pivoting fitting in order to guide the movable structuring element in a plane parallel to the top layers. Such a fitting has, for example, a lever mechanism with levers which are pivotably mounted on the wall in pivot bearings. For example, an intermediate floor can be swiveled out of a furniture body.
Alternatively or additionally, the at least one further fitting can be a guide fitting according to the invention in order to linearly move the movable structuring element horizontally by guide rails. In this way, for example, an intermediate floor can be arranged so that it can be moved out of a furniture body.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the wall, the at least one further fitting is fastened with fastening means in holes in the cover layer. It is also possible that at least one such hole penetrates into an area provided on the fitting in order to provide a fastening means for the take further fitting. For this purpose, the fitting can have sleeve-like recesses that are positioned behind the bore through the cover layer. Those areas of the fitting that receive fastening means are preferably formed from solid material that differs from the base material of the fitting. The base material of the fitting is usually metal, while the solid material is preferably plastic or wood.
According to the invention, the integrated fitting has a lever system that guides the movable furniture part, with the lever system being located between the cover layers when the movable furniture part is in the closed state. The fitting is then completely in the furniture body integrated that - unavoidable - only the lever system, and this only when the movable furniture part is open, is visible.
In a preferred embodiment, the lever system is arranged in a front area of the fitting. An energy accumulator for applying force to the lever system is arranged in a rear area of the fitting. The energy accumulator is used, for example, to compensate for the weight of a guided furniture part, e.g. a flap. An area for the borehole for the fastening means for the further fitting can then preferably be located between the lever mechanism and the energy store in the integrated fitting.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the wall, at least one edge band is applied to at least one of the end faces of the core. In the region of the front end face of the core, the edge band is preferably only applied when the fitting is integrated or inserted, with the edge band being arranged at least in sections on the fitting. In this way, for example, the edges of the side plates of the fitting can be covered.
A piece of furniture according to the invention or a furniture body according to the invention is characterized by the use of at least one such wall, for example as a side wall, partition and/or top, bottom or intermediate floor. The advantages explained in connection with the wall result.
In advantageous configurations of the piece of furniture or furniture body, the wall has a door or flap fitting as a fitting. There is preferably at least one structuring element for the interior, which is guided over the at least one further fitting.
As part of the application, the wall can represent any flat component of the furniture body, regardless of its orientation. In particular, the wall can be a (vertical) side wall or partition or a (horizontal) top, bottom or intermediate floor. An oblique, for example diagonal, arrangement is also possible.
