Definitions
- the present invention relates to lights for mounting on a pole, such as street lights, which have a light housing and a pole flange.
- the mast flange has a receptacle which enables the lamp to be attached to the end of a lamp mast.
- a simpler variant for the variable attachment of a mast flange to a lamp housing provides that the mast flange has a segment of a circle with notches, which rests against a congruent segment of a circle on the lamp housing.
- the notches provided over the entire contact surfaces make it possible to mount the luminaire housing in different angular positions in relation to the mast flange.
- fastening means for example in the form of several screws, are necessary that connect the segment of a circle of the mast flange with the luminaire housing. These fastening means must essentially absorb the entire force of gravity and possibly wind force which acts on the luminaire housing.
- EP 2 863 116 A1 discloses a lamp according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a luminaire with an adjustable fastening system for the mast flange, which can be installed quickly and easily and, moreover, requires as few separate components as possible.
- the object is achieved by a luminaire according to claim 1.
- the mast flange has at least one plug-in element, which can optionally be inserted into different insertion positions of the lamp housing, and the mast flange also has a support area spaced from the plug-in area, on which the lamp housing is supported with a contact surface on the mast flange .
- the torque which on the connection between the mast flange and the lamp housing is exerted by the weight of the lamp housing.
- the angular positions can only be adjusted in steps according to the number of insertion positions on the lamp housing. As a rule, however, this is completely sufficient for the desired alignment of the light exit surface of the luminaire housing with respect to the mast.
- no screw elements are necessary to fix the mast flange to the lamp housing. This enables the luminaire to be installed more quickly and also reduces the number of components required.
- the luminaire housing must rotate about an actual axis of rotation or a virtual axis of rotation with respect to the mast flange.
- the present invention deviates from this concept to the extent that the insertion positions and the associated contact points between the support areas of the contact surface do not have to lie on a common circular path.
- the mounting positions of the lamp housing with respect to the mast flange specified by the insertion positions differ not only in terms of rotation, but can also differ in different heights between the mast flange and the lamp housing.
- the concept common in the prior art of rotating the light only about a given axis is thereby abandoned.
- the insertion positions in the lamp housing are arranged in such a way that the light exit surface of the lamp housing relative to the mast flange over an angular range of at least 3 °, preferably of at least 10 °, 15 ° or 20 °, is adjustable in steps.
- at least two, three or four plug-in positions can be provided, with the lamp housing being displaced by an angle of at least 3 ° or 5 ° with respect to the mast flange between each two adjacent plug-in positions.
- the mast flange has two plug-in elements, which can optionally be inserted into one of the plug-in positions on the lamp housing, and the contact surface of the lamp housing is supported on one of two support areas of the mast flange that are spaced apart from the respective inserted plug-in element.
- the mast flange can be attached to the lamp housing in two completely different positions, for example pivoted by 90 ° and rotated 180 °, by selecting one of the two plug-in elements on the mast flange. For each of these two orientations, the mast bottle can also be finely adjusted by selecting one of the insertion positions on the luminaire housing.
- the lamp housing in each of the two basic positions, can be adjusted over the mast flange, for example in an angular range of at least 3 ° to at least 20 °.
- This construction is particularly suitable for lights that are to be attached to different masts.
- the lamp mast can extend vertically up to the lamp and the lamp housing is placed on the vertical lamp mast end at an angle of about 90 °.
- This mounting position is called "top mounting".
- the mast mount For post-top mounting, the mast mount must be approximately 90 ° to the longitudinal axis of the luminaire or the Extend light exit surfaces of the lamp housing.
- the mast flange can be attached to the lamp housing in such a way that the mast extension runs approximately parallel to the longitudinal extension of the lamp housing or the light exit surface of the lamp housing.
- This mounting position is also known as "shoulder mounting” and is suitable for attaching lights to a horizontally extending mast end.
- the two plug-in elements are provided at an angular distance on the mast flange so that the mast flange can optionally be mounted in two positions pivoted by 90 ° on the luminaire housing if either one of the two plug-in elements is in the same plug-in position of the Luminaire housing is inserted, the longitudinal axis of the mast holder opposite the light exit surface in a cross section through the longitudinal axes of the lamp housing and the mast holder at an angle of about 0 ° and about 90 °.
- a value of 1.5 ° or 91.5 ° is used to prevent a negative angle of incidence of the light exit surface if the luminaire mast is not precisely aligned.
- the same lamp can therefore be set up both for attachment mounting and for attachment mounting.
- fine-tuning can also be carried out by selecting the insertion positions for the respective plug-in element, ie the luminaire housing can be set in an angular range of at least 3 ° to at least 20 ° with respect to the mast flange by selecting the insertion position.
- the two plug-in elements on the mast flange each through a plug-in area and the associated spaced support area of the mast flange are formed.
- the mast flange has two areas that can optionally serve as a plug-in element and as a support area.
- the insertion positions or the contact area on the luminaire housing are set up in such a way that they can interact positively with both elements on the mast flange.
- a mast flange can be constructed particularly easily, which can be mounted on the luminaire housing in two different positions, namely for post-top mounting and side-entry mounting, and which can be finely adjusted in each of these basic positions by selecting the insertion position in relation to the mast flange.
- the contact area has a mandrel which interacts with an opening or a surface in the support area of the mast flange so that the lamp housing can only be removed from the mast flange in one direction opposite to the insertion movement of the plug element into any of the plug-in positions.
- the mandrel on the contact area of the lamp housing can extend through a small opening in the support area of the mast flange.
- the mandrel rests against a surface of the support area in one mounting position, e.g. attachment mounting, while in the other mounting position, e.g. attachment mounting, the mandrel extends through an opening extends in the support area of the mast flange.
- the function of the mandrel is that the lamp housing can only be removed in the direction in which the lamp housing is attached to the plug-in device. In this way, tilting moments in particular can be absorbed acting on the connection between the mast flange and the luminaire housing by the force of gravity of the luminaire housing.
- the luminaire also has a spring which applies an elastic force to fix the mast flange on the luminaire housing in an area between the contact surface and the support area, which counteracts the support area moving away from the contact surface.
- the spring element serves as an additional safeguard so that the luminaire housing can no longer be lifted off the mast flange, not even exactly in the opposite direction to the insertion movement.
- the spring element does not have to exert particularly great forces because, in contrast to the conventional constructions in the prior art, the weight of the lamp housing is already absorbed by the plug-in element and the support area on the mast flange.
- the spring only serves as an additional safeguard, which does not have to absorb any significant forces.
- the spring is supported with one or two free ends on the lamp housing in order to apply the elastic force.
- the spring element approximately Is formed U-shaped, wherein the free legs are formed by the two free ends of the U.
- the middle area of the U-shaped spring element is clamped in the area between the support element and the contact surface and presses with one or more projections on these areas when the free legs are turned towards the luminaire housing and hooked into recesses in the luminaire housing.
- the spring which acts as a securing element, can be mounted without tools, as can the other components of the lamp. Due to the leverage that the free legs apply in relation to the sections of the spring that act as a pressing element, the necessary contact pressure is achieved by simply pretensioning the free legs by hand and locking them into the corresponding recesses on the luminaire housing.
- the lamp housing has a toggle lever lock which is set up to fix the support area of the mast flange with respect to the contact surface of the lamp housing.
- the toggle lever can be designed in the manner of a lock from a ski boot, which engages with the bracket on a projection of the lamp housing and after overcoming a dead point during a pivoting movement of the toggle lever tensions the bracket to such an extent that the projection on the lamp housing is secured against the tilt lever on the mast flange is.
- This embodiment can in particular be used as an alternative to the previously mentioned securing spring, with the two systems also being able to complement one another in one embodiment.
- the fixing of the support area of the mast flange to the contact surface is only meant here as a securing means, because the weight or wind forces acting on it are already due to the plug-in or support function of the plug element and the support area are included.
- the toggle lock engages with a bracket in one or two projections that extend from the luminaire housing through one or two recesses in the support area, in particular one or elongated slots in the support area, in every possible mounting position the optional insertion of the plug-in element is specified in one of the plug-in positions.
- the rocker arm lock only has to serve as a securing element.
- This embodiment is particularly suitable for variants of the luminaire which use a conventional mast flange in conjunction with a new luminaire housing.
- the mast flange can be designed with a half-shell-shaped receptacle as described in the prior art.
- the front and rear edges of the semicircular shell act as a plug-in element or support element of the mast flange.
- the luminaire housing is precisely matched to this shape of the plug-in element or support area with the insertion positions or the contact area.
- slots or recesses were also provided in the prior art, which were intended to fasten the luminaire housing to the mast flange with screws.
- the new lamp housing now has projections which have approximately the diameter of the screw, but of course without a screw head, and are provided firmly on the lamp housing.
- the bracket of the toggle lever lock can act on the area of the one or more projections that extend through the recess in the mast flange. This embodiment is preferred when it comes to renovating old mast lights.
- the old mast flange can continue to be used and only the old lamp housing is replaced by a new lamp housing which has the features described above. This means that the luminaire can be refurbished even if the old mast flange has to continue to be used.
- the lamp has a mast flange 10 and a lamp housing 20, only the rear part of the lamp housing 20 being shown in all of the figures. It is to be understood that the lamp housing extends further and has a light exit surface on at least one side, in the figures on the side pointing downwards.
- the mast flange 10 has a mast receptacle 12 in the form of a cylindrical opening which is designed to be plugged onto the end of a lamp mast (not shown in the figures).
- Two screw openings 14 are provided in a side wall of the mast flange 12, through which screws can be passed in order to clamp the mast flange to a lamp mast.
- the mast flange 10 On the side opposite the mast receptacle 12, the mast flange 10 has a plug element 16 and a support area 18 spaced from the plug element. In the embodiment shown, both areas 16 and 18 are formed by edges on an end of the mast flange 10 opposite the mast attachment 12.
- the luminaire housing 20 has a plurality of insertion positions 22 in the rear area, four in the embodiment shown, and a contact surface 24.
- the insertion positions 22 are designed in the form of depressions, the shape of which is matched to the shape of the plug element 16.
- the plug element 16 can be plugged into any of the plurality of plug-in positions 22.
- the support area 18 comes to lie in the area of the contact surface 24, it being understood that when the various insertion positions 12 are used, the support area 18 rests on the contact surface 24 in slightly different positions. Referring to FIG. 2, it is shown how the mast flange 10 with the plug-in element 16 is inserted into the lowest of the four insertion positions 22.
- the support area 18 rests on the contact surface 24.
- the luminaire housing 10 rests on the mast flange 20 solely through its own gravity.
- the insertion positions 22 are designed in such a way that the plug-in element 16 can only be inserted in a defined direction, so that the lamp housing 20 cannot be detached by a tilting movement.
- the embodiment shown also has a mandrel 26 on the contact surface 24, which protrudes from the contact surface 24. As in Figure 2 As shown, the mandrel engages in the mast flange 10 and rests there on an inner side next to the support area 18.
- the mandrel 26 prevents the lamp housing from being detached from the mast flange by tilting against the force of gravity. By means of the mandrel 26, it is only possible to lift off the lamp housing 10 only in the opposite direction which is predetermined by the insertion direction of the plug-in element 16 in any of the plug-in positions 22.
- the luminaire housing 20 has a slightly different angle with respect to the mast flange 10.
- the Change the angle of the luminaire housing in relation to the mast flange in each of the insertion positions by at least 3 ° or 5 °.
- the selection of the plug-in positions enables the lamp housing to be adjusted in relation to the mast flange, which is fixed to the lamp mast.
- the mast flange 10 being fastened with respect to the luminaire housing 20, however, in a position pivoted by 90 ° and rotated by 180 °.
- the support area 18 and the plug-in element 16 of the mast flange 10 change their function.
- the support area 18 acts as a plug-in element in this assembly position and the plug-in element 16 acts as a support element in this assembly.
- the area 18 is in a (the uppermost) insertion position 22, while the element 16 is supported on the contact surface 24.
- a secure hold of the mast flange 10 on the lamp housing 20 is already given by inserting and supporting the elements 16 and 18.
- the mandrel 26 extends through an opening 18 in the mast flange 12 near the part 16 which acts as a plug element in this mounting position.
- the mandrel 26 also has the same function in this mounting position as previously described. It prevents the lamp housing from being released from the insertion position by a tilting movement, in that the mandrel 26 in connection with the opening 18 only allows the lamp housing to be lifted from the mast flange exactly in the opposite direction to the insertion movement.
- the mounting position of the mast flange 10 on the lamp housing 20 according to Figure 2 is called post-top mounting because this configuration is designed to mount the luminaire on a to mount the vertical end of a light pole.
- the mounting position according to Figure 3 is referred to as attachment mounting because it is suitable for mounting the luminaire on a horizontal mast end.
- the plug-in element 16 or 18 can be inserted into any one of the plurality of plug-in positions 22 both in the attachment assembly and in the attachment assembly. This makes it possible to angularly adjust the mast flange relative to the lamp housing for both attachment and top mounting because the insertion positions 22 each define a different angular position of the lamp housing with respect to the longitudinal axis of the mast mount.
- an angular offset of 5 ° can be set between two adjacent plug-in positions, so that through the four plug-in positions shown, the lamp can be adjusted by up to 15 ° in steps of 5 ° by selecting the plug-in position.
- This setting is in accordance with both in the surface mounting Figure 2 as well as the attachment assembly according to Figure 3 possible.
- the light exit surface of a lamp housing takes an angle of about 90 ° in the post-top mounting and an angle of about 0 ° in the neck mounting.
- the angle is preferably selected to be slightly larger than 0 ° or 90 °, namely 1.5 ° and 91.5 °, for example, in order to prevent the light exit surface from making a negative angle to a lamp mast that is not exactly vertical or horizontal due to structural tolerances Occupies the surface of the earth. Such an alignment would be immediately recognizable as faulty when the lamp is switched on, while a slightly too large angle of incidence for the appearance of the lamp is imperceptible to the viewer.
- FIGS. 4 and 5 show the luminaire housing 20 with the mast flange 10, which is attached for neck mounting.
- a spring 30 is also provided, which is inserted in an area between the support element 16 and the contact area 24.
- the spring 30 has approximately the shape of a U, the middle area of the U being inserted between the support element 16 and the contact area 18 in such a way that it can be rotated.
- two pressing elements 32 formed by the curvature of the spring element 30 are also provided, which in the FIG Figure 4 position of the spring 30 shown are still removed from the support area.
- the spring element 30 has two free legs 34 which are formed by the lateral ends of the U. These ends can be hooked into recesses on the inner walls of the lamp housing, as in Figure 5 shown. As a result, the spring 30 remains fixed in position on the lamp housing, the elastic force which the pressing elements 32 exert on the support area being applied by the counterforce with which the free ends 34 are attached to the lamp housing.
- the length ratio of the pressing elements 32 to the free ends 34 also produces a lever ratio which allows the free ends 34 to be deflected only by hand in order to generate a correspondingly high pressing force by the pressing elements 32.
- the mast flange 10 On the side opposite the mast receptacle, the mast flange 10 has a circular receiving element, the upper and lower edges of which correspond to the plug-in element or the support area 16 and 18.
- the mast flange 10 in the embodiment shown also has ribs on the inside facing the lamp housing, which, however, are irrelevant for the embodiment shown for fastening the lamp housing. In fact, it is a mast flange of an older type, which is now used in a modified form in connection with a new type of lamp housing 10.
- the plug element 16 and the support area 18 interact with several plug-in positions 22 and with the contact area 24 on the lamp housing 20 in the same way as in the embodiment described above.
- a toggle lever lock 40 is provided in this embodiment. This is attached pivotably to the lamp housing 20 and has a lever 42 and a bracket 44 attached to it.
- the luminaire housing 20 has two projections 26 'in the area of the contact surface which extend through longitudinal slots 19' in the mast flange.
- the ends of the bracket 44 can engage at incisions in the projections 26 'and can be clamped by tilting the lever 42 over a dead point.
- a fuse similar to that previously described for spring 30, is given between the mast flange 10 and the lamp housing 20.

Description
The present invention relates to lights for mounting on a pole, such as street lights, which have a light housing and a pole flange. The mast flange has a receptacle which enables the lamp to be attached to the end of a lamp mast.
A simpler variant for the variable attachment of a mast flange to a lamp housing provides that the mast flange has a segment of a circle with notches, which rests against a congruent segment of a circle on the lamp housing. The notches provided over the entire contact surfaces make it possible to mount the luminaire housing in different angular positions in relation to the mast flange. However, to attach the lamp housing to the mast flange fastening means, for example in the form of several screws, are necessary that connect the segment of a circle of the mast flange with the luminaire housing. These fastening means must essentially absorb the entire force of gravity and possibly wind force which acts on the luminaire housing. The forces can be considerable because such lights often have a large protrusion over the mast flange, so that a considerable torque from the weight of the lamp acts on the connection between the mast flange and the lamp housing. A corresponding number of screws or other detachable fastening means must be provided.
The object of the present invention is to provide a luminaire with an adjustable fastening system for the mast flange, which can be installed quickly and easily and, moreover, requires as few separate components as possible.
The object is achieved by a luminaire according to claim 1.
A special feature of the lamp according to the invention is that the mast flange has at least one plug-in element, which can optionally be inserted into different insertion positions of the lamp housing, and the mast flange also has a support area spaced from the plug-in area, on which the lamp housing is supported with a contact surface on the mast flange . By combining the plug-in element and the support area, a connection between the luminaire housing and the mast flange can be achieved which, due to the geometry of the components alone, ensures that the lamp housing is held on the mast flange. Due to the interaction of the two contact areas, namely on the plug-in element and on the support area, the torque, which on the connection between the mast flange and the lamp housing is exerted by the weight of the lamp housing. Furthermore, by providing several insertion positions for the plug-in element, it is possible to fasten the lamp housing to the mast flange in different angular positions. The angular positions can only be adjusted in steps according to the number of insertion positions on the lamp housing. As a rule, however, this is completely sufficient for the desired alignment of the light exit surface of the luminaire housing with respect to the mast. In contrast to the prior art cited above, no screw elements are necessary to fix the mast flange to the lamp housing. This enables the luminaire to be installed more quickly and also reduces the number of components required.
In the prior art, it was always assumed that the luminaire housing must rotate about an actual axis of rotation or a virtual axis of rotation with respect to the mast flange. The present invention deviates from this concept to the extent that the insertion positions and the associated contact points between the support areas of the contact surface do not have to lie on a common circular path. In other words, the mounting positions of the lamp housing with respect to the mast flange specified by the insertion positions differ not only in terms of rotation, but can also differ in different heights between the mast flange and the lamp housing. The concept common in the prior art of rotating the light only about a given axis is thereby abandoned.
According to a preferred embodiment, the insertion positions in the lamp housing are arranged in such a way that the light exit surface of the lamp housing relative to the mast flange over an angular range of at least 3 °, preferably of at least 10 °, 15 ° or 20 °, is adjustable in steps. For example, at least two, three or four plug-in positions can be provided, with the lamp housing being displaced by an angle of at least 3 ° or 5 ° with respect to the mast flange between each two adjacent plug-in positions.
According to a preferred embodiment, the mast flange has two plug-in elements, which can optionally be inserted into one of the plug-in positions on the lamp housing, and the contact surface of the lamp housing is supported on one of two support areas of the mast flange that are spaced apart from the respective inserted plug-in element. According to this embodiment, the mast flange can be attached to the lamp housing in two completely different positions, for example pivoted by 90 ° and rotated 180 °, by selecting one of the two plug-in elements on the mast flange. For each of these two orientations, the mast bottle can also be finely adjusted by selecting one of the insertion positions on the luminaire housing. That is, in each of the two basic positions, the lamp housing can be adjusted over the mast flange, for example in an angular range of at least 3 ° to at least 20 °. This construction is particularly suitable for lights that are to be attached to different masts. In principle, there are two different mounting positions of a mast lamp on a lamp mast. The lamp mast can extend vertically up to the lamp and the lamp housing is placed on the vertical lamp mast end at an angle of about 90 °. This mounting position is called "top mounting". For post-top mounting, the mast mount must be approximately 90 ° to the longitudinal axis of the luminaire or the Extend light exit surfaces of the lamp housing. Alternatively, the mast flange can be attached to the lamp housing in such a way that the mast extension runs approximately parallel to the longitudinal extension of the lamp housing or the light exit surface of the lamp housing. This mounting position is also known as "shoulder mounting" and is suitable for attaching lights to a horizontally extending mast end. Therefore, according to a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the two plug-in elements are provided at an angular distance on the mast flange so that the mast flange can optionally be mounted in two positions pivoted by 90 ° on the luminaire housing if either one of the two plug-in elements is in the same plug-in position of the Luminaire housing is inserted, the longitudinal axis of the mast holder opposite the light exit surface in a cross section through the longitudinal axes of the lamp housing and the mast holder at an angle of about 0 ° and about 90 °. In practice, a value of 1.5 ° or 91.5 ° is used to prevent a negative angle of incidence of the light exit surface if the luminaire mast is not precisely aligned. Due to the arrangement of the two plug-in elements in this embodiment, the same lamp can therefore be set up both for attachment mounting and for attachment mounting. In both basic configurations, fine-tuning can also be carried out by selecting the insertion positions for the respective plug-in element, ie the luminaire housing can be set in an angular range of at least 3 ° to at least 20 ° with respect to the mast flange by selecting the insertion position.
According to a further development of the last-mentioned embodiments, it is further provided that the two plug-in elements on the mast flange each through a plug-in area and the associated spaced support area of the mast flange are formed. In other words, the mast flange has two areas that can optionally serve as a plug-in element and as a support area. In contrast, the insertion positions or the contact area on the luminaire housing are set up in such a way that they can interact positively with both elements on the mast flange. In this way, a mast flange can be constructed particularly easily, which can be mounted on the luminaire housing in two different positions, namely for post-top mounting and side-entry mounting, and which can be finely adjusted in each of these basic positions by selecting the insertion position in relation to the mast flange.
According to a preferred embodiment, the contact area has a mandrel which interacts with an opening or a surface in the support area of the mast flange so that the lamp housing can only be removed from the mast flange in one direction opposite to the insertion movement of the plug element into any of the plug-in positions. The mandrel on the contact area of the lamp housing can extend through a small opening in the support area of the mast flange. Alternatively, it can also be provided that the mandrel rests against a surface of the mast flange, in particular an inner surface of the mast flange. In the embodiment with two plug-in elements or piece areas on the mast flange it can also be provided that the mandrel rests against a surface of the support area in one mounting position, e.g. attachment mounting, while in the other mounting position, e.g. attachment mounting, the mandrel extends through an opening extends in the support area of the mast flange. The function of the mandrel is that the lamp housing can only be removed in the direction in which the lamp housing is attached to the plug-in device. In this way, tilting moments in particular can be absorbed acting on the connection between the mast flange and the luminaire housing by the force of gravity of the luminaire housing. In this embodiment, even with normal wind loads that act on the luminaire housing in the assembled state, the forces that could possibly detach the luminaire housing from the mast flange are already absorbed. The luminaire housing can only be lifted off the mast flange exactly in the insertion direction, which runs approximately in the horizontal direction. As a rule, only slight wind forces occur in this direction. The weight of the luminaire housing alone, which counteracts this direction of force, ensures that the luminaire housing is securely mounted on the mast flange.
According to an alternative according to the invention, the luminaire also has a spring which applies an elastic force to fix the mast flange on the luminaire housing in an area between the contact surface and the support area, which counteracts the support area moving away from the contact surface. The spring element serves as an additional safeguard so that the luminaire housing can no longer be lifted off the mast flange, not even exactly in the opposite direction to the insertion movement. For this purpose, the spring element does not have to exert particularly great forces because, in contrast to the conventional constructions in the prior art, the weight of the lamp housing is already absorbed by the plug-in element and the support area on the mast flange. The spring only serves as an additional safeguard, which does not have to absorb any significant forces.
According to a further development of the last-mentioned embodiment, the spring is supported with one or two free ends on the lamp housing in order to apply the elastic force. For example, it can be provided that the spring element approximately Is formed U-shaped, wherein the free legs are formed by the two free ends of the U. The middle area of the U-shaped spring element is clamped in the area between the support element and the contact surface and presses with one or more projections on these areas when the free legs are turned towards the luminaire housing and hooked into recesses in the luminaire housing. As a result, the spring, which acts as a securing element, can be mounted without tools, as can the other components of the lamp. Due to the leverage that the free legs apply in relation to the sections of the spring that act as a pressing element, the necessary contact pressure is achieved by simply pretensioning the free legs by hand and locking them into the corresponding recesses on the luminaire housing.
According to a further alternative according to the invention, the lamp housing has a toggle lever lock which is set up to fix the support area of the mast flange with respect to the contact surface of the lamp housing. The toggle lever can be designed in the manner of a lock from a ski boot, which engages with the bracket on a projection of the lamp housing and after overcoming a dead point during a pivoting movement of the toggle lever tensions the bracket to such an extent that the projection on the lamp housing is secured against the tilt lever on the mast flange is. This embodiment can in particular be used as an alternative to the previously mentioned securing spring, with the two systems also being able to complement one another in one embodiment. The fixing of the support area of the mast flange to the contact surface is only meant here as a securing means, because the weight or wind forces acting on it are already due to the plug-in or support function of the plug element and the support area are included.
According to a further development of the last-mentioned embodiment, the toggle lock engages with a bracket in one or two projections that extend from the luminaire housing through one or two recesses in the support area, in particular one or elongated slots in the support area, in every possible mounting position the optional insertion of the plug-in element is specified in one of the plug-in positions. As previously stated, the rocker arm lock only has to serve as a securing element. This embodiment is particularly suitable for variants of the luminaire which use a conventional mast flange in conjunction with a new luminaire housing. For example, the mast flange can be designed with a half-shell-shaped receptacle as described in the prior art. The front and rear edges of the semicircular shell act as a plug-in element or support element of the mast flange. The luminaire housing is precisely matched to this shape of the plug-in element or support area with the insertion positions or the contact area. In such mast flanges, slots or recesses were also provided in the prior art, which were intended to fasten the luminaire housing to the mast flange with screws. Instead of these screwdrivers, the new lamp housing now has projections which have approximately the diameter of the screw, but of course without a screw head, and are provided firmly on the lamp housing. The bracket of the toggle lever lock can act on the area of the one or more projections that extend through the recess in the mast flange. This embodiment is preferred when it comes to renovating old mast lights. Often it is due to corrosion no longer possible to remove the old mast flange from the mast. In this embodiment, however, the old mast flange can continue to be used and only the old lamp housing is replaced by a new lamp housing which has the features described above. This means that the luminaire can be refurbished even if the old mast flange has to continue to be used.
