Grundsätzlich weist eine erfindungsgemäße Palette ein Oberdeck, welches eine Ladefläche der Palette ausbildet, eine Anzahl an Füßen oder Kufen, die unterseitig am Oberdeck angeordnet sind, sowie zumindest eine Aufnahme für ein elektronisches Einbauteil auf. Die zumindest eine Aufnahme ist sacklochartig bzw. als Tasche ausgebildet (sie durchdringt die Palette nicht, sondern weist an einem Ende einen Boden auf) und ist an ihrer Öffnung mit einem Deckel verschließbar. In zumindest einer Seitenwand der Aufnahme ist zumindest ein Durchbruch zur Be- und Entlüftung ausgebildet. Da die Aufnahme 18 bodenseitig geschlossen und ladeflächenseitig durch den Deckel 20 verschlossen ist, wird wirksam verhindert, dass spritzendes Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten von außen her in die Aufnahme 18 eindringen und die Funktion eventuell eingebauter Einbauteile kompromittieren. Um eine Kondensation der in der Aufnahme 18 eingeschlossenen Luft zu vermeiden, sind Durchbrüche 22 in den vertikalen Seitenwänden der Aufnahme 18 eingebracht, die als Lüftungslöcher fungieren. Die Durchbrüche 22 haben zudem den Vorteil, dass Temperaturunterschiede von außen schneller übertragen werden, wenn in die Aufnahme 18 ein Temperatursensor eingesetzt ist. Die Durchbrüche/Durchlüftungslöcher 22 verlaufen in horizontaler (ladeflächenparalleler) Richtung zu einer zur Aufnahme 18 benachbarten Kammer 24 im Inneren der Palette 10, genauer gesagt im Inneren des Fußes 16. Entsprechend weist die in den Figuren dargestellte Ausführungsform zwei solcher benachbarten Kammern 24 (eine je Aufnahme 18) auf.
