Claims (15)

  1. Applicator device (16; 50; 70; 80; 90; 100; 110) for applying a cosmetic product onto keratinous materials, in particular keratinous fibers such as eyelashes or eyebrows, comprising:
    - a rod (18), the rod (18) having a first (18a) and a second (18b) end, the rod (18) extending in a longitudinal direction (X0) of the rod (18) between the first and second ends (18a, 18b) of the rod (18), the rod (18) being rigid,
    - a gripping member (20), the gripping member (20) being located at the first end (18a) of the rod (18),
    - an applicator element (22) near the second end (18b) of the rod (18), the applicator element (22) defining a longitudinal direction (X1) of the applicator element (22) at rest, the applicator element (22) having an application portion (30) suitable for applying the cosmetic product,
    - a flexible, elastically deformable core (34), the core connecting the applicator element (22) to the rod (18),
    wherein:
    - the core (34) comprises a free portion extending freely between the rod (18) and the application portion of the applicator element (22), the free portion of the core (34) having a length of at least 2 mm, preferably at least 3 mm, more preferably at least 5 mm, the core (34) allowing maximum bending of the applicator element (22) relative to the rod (18) such that a maximum bending angle (α) between the longitudinal direction (X2) of the bent applicator element (22) and the longitudinal direction (X1) of the applicator element (22) at rest is at least 1°, or even at least 2°, preferably at least 5°, more preferably at least 10°, the maximum bending angle (α) being preferably at most 30°, more preferably at most 20°, and
    - the rod (18) has a housing (52) extending in the longitudinal direction (X0) of the rod (18) between a bottom (54) of the housing (52) and an outlet (56) of the housing (52) at the second end (18b) of the rod (18), the application portion (30) of the applicator element (22) protruding from the housing (52), the core (34) extending into the housing (52) with transverse clearance, the maximum bending angle (α) between the longitudinal direction (X2) of the bent applicator element (22) and the longitudinal direction (X1) of the applicator element (22) at rest being defined by abutment of one of the applicator element (22) and the core (34) against a side wall (60) of the housing (52).
  2. Applicator device according to claim 1, wherein the core (34) has a cross-section, the cross-section of the core (34) has a diameter (d34), the rod (18) has a cross-section, the cross-section of the rod (18) has a diameter (dis), the diameter (d34) of the cross-section of the core (34) being less than or equal to, preferably strictly less than, the diameter (dis) of the cross-section of the rod (18).
  3. Applicator device according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the core (34) is fixed in a hole (58) that opens at the bottom (54) of the housing (52), the core (34) preferably being gripped in the hole (58).
  4. Applicator device according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the housing (52) is tubular, the housing having a length (l52) measured between the bottom (54) of the housing (52) and the outlet (56) of the housing (52), and a diameter (d52) measured in a plane transverse to the length (l52), the length (l52) of the housing (52) preferably being between 2 and 10 mm and/or the diameter (d52) of the housing (52) preferably being between 1 and 5 mm.
  5. Applicator device according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the housing (52) is frustoconical, the housing having a length (l52) and a maximum diameter (d52), measured in a plane transverse to the length (l52), at the end of the rod (18), the length (l52) of the housing (52) preferably being between 2 and 10 mm and/or the maximum diameter (d52) of the housing (52) being preferably between 1 and 5 mm.
  6. Applicator device according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the core (34) comprises, preferably consists of, a twisted wire (84), the application portion (30) being formed by tufts of bristles (82) gripped by the twisted wire (84),, wherein the core (34) preferably extends in a longitudinal direction (X1) of the applicator element (22) at rest and the tufts of bristles (82) extend transversely to the longitudinal direction (X1) of the applicator element (22) at rest.
  7. Applicator device according to claim 6, wherein the tufts of bristles (82) have a longitudinal position on the core (34) and a length (l82) measured transversely to the longitudinal direction (X1) of the applicator element (22), the length (l82) of the tufts of bristles (82) being a function of the longitudinal position on the core (34), the length (l82) of the tufts of bristles (82) being in particular a decreasing function on at least a portion of the core (34), located outside the housing (52) and the hole (58), when there are such.
  8. Applicator device according to claim 6 or 7, wherein the core (34) has a short-bristled portion (86), preferably received in the housing (52), said short-bristled portion (86) being distinct from the application portion (30) of the applicator element (22), said short-bristled portion (86) in particular having tufts of bristles shorter than the tufts of bristles (82) of the application portion (30), more preferably of a length such that clearance is maintained between the tufts of bristles of the short-bristled portion (86) and the wall or walls (60) of the housing (52) in the rod (18).
  9. Applicator device according to any one of claims 6 to 8, wherein the wire has a diameter greater than or equal to 0.3 mm, preferably greater than or equal to 0.4 mm, and/or less than or equal to 0.7 mm, preferably less than or equal to 0.6 mm.
  10. Applicator device according to one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the applicator element (22) has an application portion (30) provided with spikes and/or flocked, wherein the applicator element (22) preferably has a base portion (32) contiguous with the application portion (30), preferably one piece with the application portion (30), the base portion (32) preferably being received in the housing (52), more preferably with transverse clearance.
  11. Applicator device according to claim 10, wherein the applicator element (22), in particular the application portion (30), is of flexible material, in particular plastic material.
  12. Applicator device according to claim 10 or 11, wherein the core (34) is one piece with one among the rod (18) and the applicator element (22).
  13. Applicator device according to claim 10 or 11, wherein the core (34) is distinct from the rod (18) and from the applicator element (22).
  14. Applicator device according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the core (34) has a diameter greater than 0.3 mm, preferably greater than 0.4 mm, and/or the core (34) has a diameter less than 2.5 mm, preferably less than 1.5 mm, more preferably less than 0.7 mm, even more preferably less than or equal to 0.6 mm.
  15. Device (10) for packaging and application of a cosmetic product (12) to be applied to keratinous materials, in particular keratinous fibers such as eyelashes or eyebrows, comprising an applicator device (16; 50; 70; 80; 90; 100; 110) according to any one of the preceding claims, and a container (14) for containing the product (12) to be applied, the applicator device (16; 50; 70; 80; 90; 100) being suitable for fixing to the container (14) such that the applicator element (22) is received inside the container (14), in contact with the cosmetic product (12), wherein the container (14) preferably has an opening (24) and the gripping member (20) is suitable to be fixed on the container (14) in order to close the opening (24) of the container (14).
