Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a dishwasher with a device for changing odors according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the DE 10 2005 058 662 A1 provides that the air in the rinsing tank is guided past a photocatalytic layer irradiated by a light source, on which the odor-forming molecules contained in the air oxidize. If not all the air is captured, unpleasant odors will still remain. In addition, even with the molecules oxidized in this way, no pleasant scent is produced, so that the customer still does not have a positive experience when opening the door.
  • the household appliance DE 10 2011 087 583 A1 features a deodorization system for removing odor-active molecules from a process medium.
  • the deodorization system is located in a process space of the household appliance that is closed at least during the removal of the odor-active molecules. It comprises at least two different deodorizing devices, which can be acted upon by the process medium, from the group of filtration devices, adsorption devices, absorption devices, extraction devices, thermal deodorizing devices, oxidative deodorizing devices and/or biological deodorizing devices.
  • the invention is based on the problem of achieving an improvement here.
  • the device for changing the smell comprises at least one ozone generator and a system for introducing scents: on the one hand, the ozone generator and the highly reactive Oa molecules produced by it neutralize odors, achieved in particular by oxidation of odor-forming molecules; on the other hand, the system for injecting the scent ensures that an odor that is perceived as pleasant by the customer is produced, so that even if the neutralization is not complete, any remaining odor-forming molecules are overlaid by the pleasant scent and the user always has a positive experience .
  • the system for introducing the fragrance includes a fragrance atomizer
  • the pleasant odors can be introduced directly into the gas phase and distributed there over a large area, resulting in high effectiveness with a large-volume distribution of the odors perceived as pleasant.
  • the odor that can be introduced by the system for introducing the scent can be selected by the customer, so that the customer can set and/or optimize the type and/or intensity of the odor himself according to his individual ideas.
  • the system for injecting the fragrance can be combined with a blower in order to be able to distribute the air in the desired manner, for example in the direction of the openable door of the washing compartment, with the fragrance perceived as pleasant.
  • blower is present anyway and can be used in particular for drying items to be washed.
  • An additional blower for changing the smell then does not have to be installed; the design effort for the improvement achieved remains low.
  • the dishwasher has a control device in which a sequence is stored which first provides for the odor neutralization by the ozone generator and then the introduction of the new scent by the scent introduction system.
  • a sequence is stored which first provides for the odor neutralization by the ozone generator and then the introduction of the new scent by the scent introduction system.
  • the existing odors can first be eliminated, in particular an oxidation, before the new fragrances are then introduced and are then not oxidized themselves. If exposure to ozone then continued, there would be a risk that the desired new fragrances would also be neutralized again.
  • the carrier of the desired new scent can be held in the dishwasher via at least one cartridge.
  • cartridges are also possible, from which the customer can also put together individual mixtures of fragrances, for example.
  • the ozone generator can include, for example, a UV lamp for air ionization.
  • a method for operating a device for changing the scent of a dishwasher in which first an odor neutralization takes place by an ozone generator and then the introduction of a new scent by a device for scent introduction, which leads to the above-mentioned benefits is placed separately under protection.
  • the air in the washing compartment closed by the door can first be odor-neutralized by means of the ozone generator and then this odor-neutralized air in the one closed by the door Rinsing is scented by means of the system for fragrance introduction, ie is perfumed with one or more fragrances, and that only then the door is opened at the specified time.
  • the fragrances are sufficiently clearly perceptible for the respective user.
  • the door can open in particular when the dishwashing program to be carried out in each case is completely finished.
  • it can also be opened by an opening gap beforehand, in particular at the beginning of the end section of the drying cycle that concludes the wash cycle, before the end of the dishwashing program, for example with the aid of a door opening mechanism, and remain open during this end section. If, on the other hand, the time at which the door was opened is unknown to the control device of the dishwasher, according to an advantageous development of the invention it can be expedient for the air in the washing compartment of the dishwasher to be i.e.
  • the odor is first neutralized by means of the ozone generator before the door is opened, and that only then when and/or immediately after the door is opened is the air in the washing compartment, in particular the air escaping from its loading opening , is scented by means of the system for scent introduction. This ensures that the scenting substances can be perceived by the user when the door is opened and/or shortly thereafter. If, on the other hand, the scents were introduced into the air in the washing container by means of the scenting system immediately after ozonization up to the end of a dishwashing program to be carried out and the door was only opened by hand much later, e.g. a few hours later, by the user, these scented substances could get into the washing container already partly or completely broken down and/or gone.
  • Dishwasher 1 shown schematically is a household dishwasher.
  • a washing compartment 2 for accommodating items to be washed, such as crockery, pots, cutlery, glasses, cooking utensils, and the like.
  • the items to be washed can be held, for example, in crockery baskets 11 and/or a cutlery drawer 10 and can be acted upon by so-called washing liquor.
  • Washing liquor is understood to mean water that is fresh or, in particular, water that is circulating during operation, with or without cleaning agent and/or rinse aid and/or drying agent.
  • the washing container 2 can have an at least essentially rectangular outline with a front side V facing a user in the operating position.
  • This front side V can be part of a kitchen front side by side form kitchen furniture or, in the case of a stand-alone device, without reference to other furniture.
  • the washing compartment 2 can be closed by a door 3 in particular on this front side V.
  • This door 3 is in figure 1 shown in a partially open position and then at an angle to the vertical. In its closed position, however, it stands upright and, according to the drawing, can be pivoted forwards and downwards in the direction of arrow 4 to its opening about a lower horizontal axis, so that it is at least almost horizontal in the fully open position.
  • the door 3 On its outer and front side V, which is vertical in the closed position and faces the user, the door 3 can be provided with a decorative panel 6 in order to experience a visual and/or haptic enhancement and/or an adaptation to the surrounding kitchen furniture.
  • the household appliance here the dishwasher 1, is designed as a stand-alone appliance or as a so-called partially integrated appliance or else as a fully integrated appliance.
  • the device body 5 can also essentially end with the outer walls of the washing container 2 .
  • a housing surrounding this on the outside can then be dispensed with.
  • a base 12 for accommodating functional elements in particular, such as a pump or in particular a heating pump and also a fan.
  • the movable door 3 is assigned in its upper area a control panel 8 which extends in the transverse direction Q of the dishwasher and which can include an access opening 7 accessible from the front V for manually opening and/or closing the door 3 .
  • the dishwasher In the transverse direction Q, the dishwasher often extends 45, 50 or 60 centimeters. In the depth direction from the front V to the rear, the extension is often also around 60 centimeters. The values are not mandatory.
  • the washing compartment 2 When the door 3 is closed, the washing compartment 2 is delimited circumferentially by a total of four vertical walls 13 and two horizontal walls 13 , one of which forms a top and the other a base of the washing compartment 2 .
  • the rinsing tank 2 is therefore tightly sealed when the door 3 is closed, so that the air in it often has a very long dwell time in the small volume of the washing compartment 2, which is additionally restricted by the items to be washed. This applies in particular if the door 3 is not opened immediately by the customer after the end of the wash cycle. Since the door 3 often opens downwards in the direction of the arrow 4, the air from the washing compartment 2 often essentially escapes obliquely upwards and forwards, ie directly in the direction of the opening customer's face.
  • the dishwasher 1 is assigned at least one device for changing the odor, which is generally designated 14 .
  • This comprises at least one ozone generator 15 and a system or device for introducing scents 16. There are therefore at least two units that actively influence the air.
  • This device 14 can act on the air in the washing compartment 2, in particular at the end of a wash cycle and before the regular opening of the door 3.
  • the device 14 can therefore be arranged at different points of the dishwasher 1, the parts 15 and 16 do not have to be directly be adjacent to each other.
  • the device 14 advantageously uses a blower 17 (in figure 2 schematically indicated) that circulate the air at least in the washing compartment 2 and, for example, also through a line located in a side wall 13 for drying using a sorption material, in particular zeolite granules, can conduct.
  • This blower 17 is then ideally already present anyway.
  • the ozone generator 15 and the system for introducing the fragrance 16 can also be arranged, for example, on the inside of the door 3 or on the ceiling 13 of the washing compartment 2 and face it.
  • the device 14 can also continue to run while the door is being opened.
  • the ozone generator 15 can comprise a UV lamp for air ionization and thus form a device which is simple in construction and reliable in long-term use.
  • Other principles for the ionization and formation of O3 molecules from O2 molecules can also be used additionally or alternatively.
  • the system 16 for fragrance introduction includes at least one fragrance atomizer 18, which consists of one - or more cartridges 19 can be fed and which - as drawn here fragrances contained therein, for example in liquid form, can be sprayed in a finely nebulized manner.
  • the smell that can be introduced by the system for introducing the scent can be selected by the customer, for example in such a way that cartridges 19 with different scents are commercially available and can be used in the dishwasher 1 individually by the customer according to his selection. It can also be possible to insert cartridges 19 with different substances into the dishwasher 1 at the same time and to create different customer-specific mixtures using an electronically controlled mixer.
  • the dishwasher also has a control device 20 with which, among other things, the device 14 can be controlled automatically, for example after a rinsing cycle and directly at the end of a drying cycle or even with this in the final phase overlapping.
  • a sequence program is stored in the control device 20, according to which, when the device 14 is activated, the odor neutralization by the ozone generator 15 is first switched on and then the introduction of the new scent by the system 16 for scent introduction is activated. Depending on the design, both can also partially overlap in time.
  • the ozonation can also be accompanied by the sterilization of the air.
  • the control device 20 can act, for example, via a data bus line 21 both on the ozone generator 15 and on the system 16 for introducing the fragrance, and possibly also on the blower 17 .
  • a control circuit is possible in that a sensor system is provided, for example, on the output side of the ozone generator 15 .
  • the scent change of a dishwasher 1 is therefore operated in such a way that first an odor neutralization of existing—unpleasant—smells by an ozone generator 15 and then the introduction of a new scent by a system 16 for scent introduction takes place.
  • a new scent is therefore only "set” after the old, unpleasant odor has been neutralized. After opening the door 3, you can then smell the smell, which you have defined yourself, for example. This also covers any remaining residue of the old, unpleasant odor if it could not be completely neutralized by the ozonation. Conversely, due to the previous neutralization, only a small amount of the "new" scent is required to create a pleasant sensation for the customer.
  • the units 15 and 16 thus provide double security for protecting the customer from unpleasant odours.
  • control device 20 knows in advance at which time t the front door 3 will be opened, it is particularly advantageous to use the ozone generator 15 to largely neutralize the odor of the air in the interior of the washing compartment 2 that is still closed by the door 3 and then to use the odor-neutralized air in the front door to scent the interior of the washing compartment, which is still closed, by means of the system 16 for scent introduction, and only then to open the door 3 at the predetermined time T.
  • the door can open in particular when the dishwashing program to be carried out in each case is completely finished. This corresponds to the end time of the dishwashing program.
  • the door can also be opened by an opening gap beforehand, in particular at the beginning of the end section of the drying cycle that concludes the wash cycle of the respective dishwashing program to be carried out, for drying support - e.g. with the aid of a door opening mechanism - and remain open during this end section.
  • the door can preferably be automatically pushed open by a narrow opening gap by means of a door opening mechanism which is controlled by the control device via a control line.
  • the door lock of the door can be unlocked by the control device via a control line, so that the door then falls open a little by itself due to its gravity, forming a narrow opening gap.
  • other options for automatic door opening are also conceivable.
  • FIG 3 shows a schematic representation of the time sequence of the wash cycle SG of a dishwashing program to be carried out, in which a first advantageous scenting variant of the invention is additionally inserted.
  • the control device 20 is aware of the point in time t open at which the door 3 opens automatically. In the exemplary embodiment, this is a point in time towards the end point in time tTE of the drying cycle TG that concludes the washing cycle.
  • the opening time t is in the second half, preferably in the last third, of the drying period tTE-tTA of the drying cycle TG.
  • the one or more liquid-carrying partial wash cycles TSi are preferably one or more pre-wash cycles, a subsequent cleaning cycle with detergent added to the wash water, optionally one or more subsequent intermediate wash cycles, and finally a rinse cycle with rinse aid added to the wash water.
  • fresh water or water mixed with cleaning agent or rinse aid is sprayed onto the items to be cleaned in the one or more receptacles, in particular the cutlery drawer or crockery basket, by means of one or more spray devices in the washing compartment.
  • the one or more liquid-carrying partial rinsing cycles begin at time tTSA and end at a later time tTSE.
  • the drying cycle TG that concludes the washing cycle then begins at time tTA.
  • the control device 20 operates the ozone generator 15 of the odor changing device 14 before time t from time toz to time t OD for a period of time t OD - toz for ozone generation and thereafter Immediately afterwards, from the start time t OD to the time tauf, the fragrance introduction system 16 for perfuming the air in the washing compartment is operated.
  • the ozone generator 15 is therefore switched on at time toz and switched off at time t OD ; the fragrance introduction system 16 is switched on at time t OD and switched off at time t .
  • ozonization OZ and subsequent scenting OD are carried out.
  • an odor or scent that is pleasant for the user escapes from the interior of the washing compartment when the door is opened. Since, prior to the scenting OD, odors that the user perceives as bad-smelling have been largely eliminated by the preceding ozonation of the air in the interior of the washing container, the immediately subsequent scenting with one or more scents that the user finds pleasant can be carried out unimpaired (i.e. unaffected by bad smells) and effectively.
  • the control device 20 of the dishwasher 1 does not know the time t at the door opening, according to an advantageous development of the invention it can be expedient for the air in the washing compartment 2 of the dishwasher to be preferably during the final section, i.e. immediately before the end of the drying phase TG of the dishwashing program to be carried out, is first neutralized by means of the ozone generator 15 before the door 3 is opened, and that the air in the washing compartment is only released when and/or immediately after the door is opened , in particular the air escaping from its charging opening, is scented by means of the scent introduction system 16 . This ensures that the scenting substances can be perceived by the user when the door is opened and/or shortly thereafter.
  • the scents were introduced into the air in the washing container by means of the scenting system immediately after ozonization up to the end of a dishwashing program to be carried out and the door was only opened by hand much later, e.g. a few hours later, by the user, these scented substances could get into the washing container already partly or completely broken down and/or gone.
  • This procedure illustrates the figure 4 in a schematic representation.
  • the wash cycle SG of the dishwashing program to be carried out starts at time tSA. It ends at time tTE.
  • one or more liquid-carrying partial rinse cycles TSi as already in the embodiment of figure 3 carried out as described.
  • the washware to be cleaned in the wash tub 2 is sprayed by means of one or more spray devices with fresh water, water mixed with detergent, or water mixed with rinse aid.
  • a typical wash cycle has a pre-wash cycle, in which the items to be washed are treated with fresh water, a subsequent cleaning cycle in which the items to be washed are treated with water mixed with cleaning agent, in particular fresh water, which is heated to a minimum temperature, and optionally at least one subsequent intermediate wash cycle with fresh water, and a subsequent rinsing cycle, in which the items to be washed are treated with water to which rinsing agent has been added, in particular fresh water.
  • the drying cycle TG follows to dry the washware that is still wet. The drying cycle starts at time tTA and ends at later time tTE. The door 3 remains closed during the entire wash cycle SG.
  • the control device 20 switches the ozone generator 15 on at the time toz* for a remaining time tTE - toz* of the total drying time tTE - tTA and switches it off at the end time tTE of the drying cycle TG, ie the end of the dishwashing program. Odor contained in the air in the washing tank is largely neutralized by this ozonization phase OZ. As a rule, some time (for example even a few hours) can then elapse before the user finally opens the door 3, in particular by hand, at a later point in time t in order to unload the cleaned and dried items to be washed.
  • the control device 20 switches on the system 16 for introducing the scent 16 for a specified period of time, so that the air in the washing container, which has previously been neutralized when the door is closed, is charged with at least one scent that the user perceives as positive.
  • This scenting phase OD lasts from the time t on when the door is opened for a fixed period of time until the time t OD *.
  • This period of time too* - t auf can preferably be in the range of minutes, in particular between 1 minute and 5 minutes.
  • the duration for the ozonization OZ is preferably selected in the range of minutes, in particular between 1 minute and 10 minutes.
  • the duration of the scenting or perfuming OD is preferably selected in the minute range, in particular between 1 minute and 5 minutes.
