Definitions

  • the invention relates to the field of flush distributor systems for sanitary articles, in particular for those made of ceramics, for example toilets.
  • toilet bowls are made of ceramic.
  • the bowl itself, as well as the water inlet and flushing distributor for flushing water are cast from ceramic.
  • Ceramic is expensive and a casting process, depending on the design of the object to be cast, for example with various openings and passages, is very complex. Water inlet and flushing manifold areas are also difficult or impossible to access for cleaning or decalcification.
  • Generic purge manifold systems are in DE 10 2006 031 893 A and EP 0 643 177 A disclosed.
  • the invention includes a plastic flush manifold system for use with a sanitary article such as a toilet or urinal.
  • the flush manifold system includes a flush manifold and an attachment line for attaching the flush manifold to a sanitary article.
  • the flushing distributor has an inlet opening, at least one outlet opening arranged at an angle to the inlet opening, and fastening means.
  • a central axis of the inlet port of the purge manifold corresponds to a central axis of the attachment line.
  • the fastening means of the flushing distributor are preferably arranged in the outer area of the inlet opening.
  • the inlet opening is preferably fully accessible.
  • the attachment line also has attachment means, which attachment means of the attachment line correspond to the attachment means of the flushing manifold, for detachably attaching the flushing manifold to the attachment line.
  • the attachment means of the flushing distributor and attachment line are arranged and designed in such a way that they can be removed and permit attachment of the flushing manifold to and from the attachment conduit in a direction perpendicular to the central axis of the attachment conduit.
  • a flushing manifold system in which the flushing manifold and attachment line are detachable from one another allows easy cleaning or replacement of the flushing manifold.
  • the mounting line can be mounted in a plumbing fixture and the flush manifold can be attached to and removed from the mounting tubing as needed, particularly after installation of the plumbing fixture. After removing the flushing distributor, cleaning in the area of the attachment line is also possible. In particular, a decrease
  • Attachment and detachment of the flush manifold in a direction perpendicular to a central axis of the attachment pipe also enables detachable attachment of a flush manifold in a toilet where a ceramic rim makes access to a flush water inlet impossible.
  • the direction perpendicular to the central axis preferably corresponds to a direction downwards or from below in relation to the sanitary item, for example the rim of a toilet bowl.
  • a flushing distributor system made of plastic also makes it easier to produce a sanitary item. In particular, it allows the replacement of ceramic parts that make up a flushing manifold. For example, a mold can be simplified and ceramic can be saved.
  • 'Perpendicular to the central axis' of the fastening line is understood to mean a direction of 90 degrees to the central axis.
  • 'perpendicular to central axis' includes exactly 90 degrees with respect to the direction of removal and attachment of the flushing manifold, as well as a few degrees of deviation from exactly 90 degrees.
  • 'Perpendicular to the central axis' thus also includes directions which deviate by up to 20 degrees from the vertical of the central axis of the fastening line.
  • Fastening means of the scavenging distributor and fastening line are preferably designed in such a way that the scavenging distributor can be removed from or attached to the fastening line by moving in a direction exactly 90 degrees perpendicular to the central axis of the fastening line.
  • the central axis of the attachment line generally corresponds to the longitudinal axis of the line part of the attachment line.
  • the attachment means of the flushing distributor and fixing line, and the at least one outlet opening of the flushing distributor are preferably designed and arranged in such a way that they allow the flushing distributor to be removed from and attached to the fixing line essentially in one direction of the at least one outlet opening of the flushing distributor .
  • An outlet opening is arranged in the flushing distributor system in such a way that, when the flushing distributor system is installed in a sanitary article, it points in the direction of the outlet of the sanitary article or in the direction of a bowl bottom. However, this direction typically points neither exactly vertically downwards nor exactly perpendicularly to the central axis of the fastening system, but rather deviates from the vertical.
  • the attachment means are connected to one another.
  • the attachment means are detached from one another.
  • the attachment means of the flushing distributor and the attachment line are preferably designed in such a way that the attachment means can be connected and released by a relative movement of the flushing distributor and attachment line. Preferably, no tools whatsoever are required for connecting and loosening the fastening means.
  • Connecting and disconnecting of the fastening means can be effected by a linear movement or by a rotational movement or by a combination of a linear and rotational movement.
  • Linear and rotary movements can also be combined.
  • the fastening means can be released initially by a rotational movement, with the flushing distributor then being removed by a linear movement perpendicular to the central axis of the fastening line.
  • the attachment means of the flushing distributor and the attachment line preferably allow the attachment means to be loosened and connected and the flushing distributor to be removed and attached by a linear relative movement, for example an exclusively linear relative movement of the flushing distributor and attachment line.
  • the attachment means of the flushing manifold and attachment line are arranged and configured to allow removal and attachment of the flushing manifold from and to the attachment line by a purely linear movement in the direction perpendicular to the central axis of the attachment line.
  • the attachment means of the flushing distributor and the attachment line are designed as mutually corresponding interlocking grooves and ridges.
  • the fastening means of the fastening line can be designed as a rail and the fastening means of the flushing distributor can be designed as a comb or longitudinal projection which is guided in the rail of the fastening line.
  • the comb and rail can also be attached to the other element of the flushing manifold system. A comb of the attachment line is then routed into a groove or rail of the flushing manifold, thereby attaching the two elements together.
  • the attachment conduit has a horseshoe shaped rail and the flushing manifold has a rim projecting around the inlet opening.
  • Alignment and insertion aids can be provided on the flushing distributor and attachment line. These enable easier positioning of the fastening means relative to one another and preferably simplify the fastening process, for example mutual guiding, such as inserting a comb in a groove.
  • the attachment means of the flushing distributor and attachment line can also form a snap lock.
  • the flushing manifold and attachment line can be provided with slightly offset projections that snap into place when the flushing manifold and attachment line are fully connected.
  • a snap fastener can also be configured in other ways, such as an interlocking projection and notch.
  • a snap lock can preferably be released with slightly increased effort.
  • a snap lock preferably prevents the fastening means from being loosened unintentionally, for example due to flushing water pressure or vibrations.
  • the attachment line preferably has a tubular part.
  • the fastening line is preferably a tubular part provided with fastening means.
  • the fastening means of the fastening line which correspond to the fastening means of the flushing distributor are preferably attached to one end of the pipe part.
  • the fastening line preferably has a radially outwardly projecting stop at this one end. In the installed state of the flushing distributor, the stop can limit a movement of the fastening line or the flushing distributor system in a wall opening in a wall of a sanitary article, at least in one direction.
  • the stop can be formed by the fastening means or as a separate stop, for example a radially outwardly protruding projection.
  • the stop is preferably formed by the fastening means.
  • a rear side of a fastener forms a stop, while a front side of the fastener corresponds to the fasteners of the flushing manifold.
  • the purge manifold has at least one outlet port. If only a single outlet opening is provided, this preferably not only points in a single direction, but rather allows flushing water to be distributed in several directions.
  • the outlet opening can be designed, for example, as an elongate outlet opening, for example as a curved slit.
  • a single outlet opening preferably enables flushing water to be distributed in a fan shape. Flushing water is thus directed not only in a downward direction, for example, in the direction of the outlet of a sanitary article, but also allows a wide lateral wetting and washing off of an inner wall of the sanitary article.
  • a plurality of outlet openings are provided in the flushing manifold. If there are several outlet openings, these are arranged in different areas of the flushing distributor and preferably point in different directions. Flushing water can thus be directed through the multiple outlet openings into different areas of an inner wall of the sanitary article.
  • the flushing distributor has three outlet openings.
  • a first of the three outlet openings is preferably perpendicular to a second and third outlet opening of the three outlet openings arranged.
  • the second and third outlet openings are preferably in line and allow the flushing water to be distributed in substantially opposite directions.
  • a flushing manifold having three outlet ports is preferably formed as a T-piece, with one side of the T-piece having the inlet port. This is preferably arranged perpendicularly to all the outlet openings, so that a jet of flushing water enters the flushing distributor through the inlet opening and is then prevented from flowing further in a straight line by a wall of the T-piece.
  • the flushing water is distributed through the outlet openings which are arranged at an angle, for example arranged perpendicular to a central axis of the inlet opening.
  • a central axis of the inlet opening of the flushing manifold corresponds to the central axis of the attachment line.
  • the flushing distributor system according to the invention can also have a safety part.
  • the securing part can be attached to an end of the fastening line opposite the flushing distributor.
  • the securing part has larger external dimensions than the fastening line.
  • the fastening line can thus be secured at least in one direction against falling out of a wall opening of a sanitary article when the fastening line is inserted in this wall opening, for example in a wall of a toilet bowl.
  • the flushing manifold system can be firmly mounted on a sanitary article.
  • a ceramic water inlet of a toilet bowl can be connected to a water connection pipe, as is known, regardless of the differently designed flushing distributor system.
  • the flushing distributor system can have a plastic water supply line.
  • the water supply pipe is connected at one end to the attachment pipe and at its opposite end End can be connected to a water connection pipe.
  • the water inlet line replaces a water inlet, which is an integral part of the ceramic bowl in standard toilets and is connected to a water connection pipe.
  • a flushing distributor system in which a water supply line made of plastic is also provided, the production of a sanitary article is further simplified. In particular, it enables the further replacement of ceramic parts.
  • a ceramic water inlet can also be replaced by the water inlet pipe.
  • a sanitary article in the region of the flushing distributor is thus preferably essentially restricted to a wall opening in a bowl wall.
  • a mold can be greatly simplified and additional ceramics and weight can be saved.
  • a connection to a water pipe which is usually a pipe made of plastic but can also be made of metal, is also improved.
  • a pipe made of plastic but can also be made of metal is also improved.
  • end of the pipe of the water pipe is pushed into the ceramic inlet to form a seal.
  • Such a connection is highly susceptible to leaks, in particular also due to the generous tolerances of the inside diameter of the ceramic water inlet.
  • connection of a pipe end to or into a plastic supply line can be implemented very easily, for example with a union nut.
  • Plastic connections can be assembled very tightly and are not prone to leakage.
  • plastic water supply lines and metal pipes have lower tolerances, which simplifies the creation of standardized connections.
  • Fastening line and water supply line can be permanently or detachably connected to each other. They can also be used as a common part getting produced. Fastening line and water supply line are preferably separate elements which are screwed together.
  • Threaded plastic items are easy and inexpensive to manufacture and also form a secure and tight connection.
  • the attachment line has an external thread and the water supply line has an internal thread that corresponds to the external thread of the attachment line.
  • Reversed threads or other types of attachment are also possible.
  • a water supply line can also be connected to the fastening line by means of a bayonet lock, by means of a snap lock or by means of clamps.
  • a water supply line is preferably tubular, with different diameters being able to be provided.
  • the diameter of the water supply line can be adapted to national or international standards.
  • An end of the water supply line to be connected to a water pipe preferably has a standardized diameter, for example EN80.
  • the water supply line has two line sections.
  • a first line section has a first inner diameter and a second line section has a second inner diameter.
  • the first inside diameter is smaller than the second inside diameter.
  • the water supply line preferably consists of two line sections with different diameters.
  • a longitudinal axis of the first line section preferably corresponds to the central axis of the fastening line.
  • the two line sections of the water supply line are preferably arranged coaxially. Then the longitudinal axis of the water supply line corresponds to the central axis of the attachment line.

  • the flushing distributor, attachment line or water supply line are in one piece.
  • the flushing manifold, attachment line and water supply line are in one piece.
  • the purge manifold system is made of plastic, for example injection molded plastic.
  • the plastic used should be chemically resistant and mechanically strong enough for assembly and multiple connection and disconnection of the individual elements of the flushing distributor system.
