Definitions
- the present invention relates to a telescopic rail with at least a first rail element made of an electrically conductive material and a second rail element made of an electrically conductive material, the first and the second rail element each having two running surfaces, with roller elements being accommodated in a rolling element cage on the two running surfaces of the first rail element Rolling elements are arranged and received on the two running surfaces of the second rail element in a rolling element cage rolling elements are arranged, and wherein the first and the second rail element are mutually movable between a retracted position and an extended position along an extension direction.
- Telescopic rails with at least two rail elements and a rolling element cage with rolling elements accommodated therein to reduce the friction between the rail elements during an extension movement are known in a variety of embodiments from the prior art. They are used in various household appliances, but also in automobile construction and in many other applications.
- telescopic rails While a large number of areas of application can already be addressed with the known telescopic rails, telescopic rails have not yet been able to establish themselves in microwave ovens. If you have a telescopic rail whose rail elements are made of an electrically conductive material, in particular sheet metal, the microwave radiation impinging on the telescopic rail leads to local charging of the rail elements during operation of the microwave oven and, if there is a sufficiently large potential difference between the individual rail elements a spark discharge between them.
- DE 41 42 346 A1 discloses a shielding bar with a closed hollow cross-section and a cover for closing the free end of the shielding bar.
- From the EP 1 540 254 A0 is also a rail or telescopic extension for the horizontal or vertical extension of a cabinet element, a food support, a door, a cooking appliance or the like.
- a rail or telescopic extension for the horizontal or vertical extension of a cabinet element, a food support, a door, a cooking appliance or the like.
- an additional rail is provided which is connected to the outer rail and stiffens it.
- the first rail element has a shielding element which is moved together with the first rail element and is made of a material which is opaque to microwave radiation from the microwave oven, the shielding element having a connecting section which is essentially parallel extends to the back section, has a first leg section and a second leg section, so that the shielding element encompasses the first and the second rail element with a substantially U-shaped cross section, the connecting section, the first leg section and the second leg section having a length in the pull-out direction have, so that the shielding element in the retracted position covers the first and the second rail element over their entire length in the extension direction, the shielding element having a connecting section and d a curved first transition section connecting the first leg section, and wherein the first transition section (20) has a radius of curvature of 4 mm or more.
- the energy of the microwave radiation inside the oven muffle of a microwave oven is partly reflected by all metal surfaces and partly absorbed.
- the absorption of the microwave radiation leads to heating and, as described above, to an electrical charge on the metallic parts.
- the labyrinth-like geometries of telescopic rails have proven to be critical.
- the electromagnetic microwave radiation is reflected back and forth between the individual elements of a telescopic rail made of an electrically conductive material until it is ultimately completely absorbed by one of the elements of the telescopic rail.
- the aim of the present invention is therefore to shield the rail elements and, if necessary, the rolling element cages and the rolling elements from the microwave radiation. This task is performed by the shielding element according to the invention.
- the shielding element has a length in the extension direction such that the shielding element completely covers the two rail elements in the retracted position.
- Microwave ovens can usually only be put into operation when the door of the microwave oven is closed. Only then can the electromagnetic microwave radiation affect the telescopic rail. However, closing the door presupposes that the rail elements of the telescopic rail no longer project beyond the muffle of the microwave oven.
- the shielding element is therefore arranged on the first rail element in such a way that it is moved along with the first rail element when it is extended.
- the shielding element is a part that is produced separately from the first rail element and is then connected to the first rail element.
- the connection between the shielding element and the first rail element can be detachable be designed. In one embodiment, however, the shielding element is firmly connected to the first rail element, for example by welding.
- the shielding element achieves its effectiveness as shielding of the first and the second rail element from the microwave radiation in the furnace muffle through its geometry in a cross section perpendicular to the pull-out direction.
- the shielding element is designed in such a way that it encompasses the first and the second rail element with a substantially U-shaped cross section (in a cross-sectional plane perpendicular to the extension direction).
- the shielding element has a connecting section which extends essentially parallel to the back section of the first rail element.
- the shielding element is connected at its connection section to the back section of the first rail element.
- first and second leg sections then extend, starting from the connecting section, in the direction of the furnace muffle.
- first leg section and the second leg section are essentially perpendicular to the connecting section.
- the surface of the connecting portion of the shielding member facing away from the first rail member is a flat extended surface. Such reflects the microwave radiation in an advantageous manner. Also in one embodiment of the invention, the surfaces of the first leg portion and the second leg portion facing away from the first rail member have planar extended surfaces to provide good reflection of the microwave radiation.
- the shielding element has a material that is opaque to the microwave radiation of the microwave oven.
- Such non-transparent materials absorb the microwave radiation or preferably reflect it.
- the microwave radiation from the microwave oven has a frequency of 2.4 GHz.
- the shielding element has a material which is opaque to microwave radiation with a frequency of 2.4 GHz.
- Examples of materials that are opaque to the microwave radiation of a microwave oven are metals and materials such as glass in which metallic materials are embedded.
- At least the surfaces of the shielding element, preferably a metal shielding element, pointing away from the first and second rail elements are provided with a coating, for example an easy-to-clean coating, a coating with SiO 2 or a ceramic.
- the shielding element is made from a solid metal sheet with no perforations in the material or with only a small number of perforations.
- the retracted position is understood to mean that position of the first and second rail elements relative to one another in which the telescopic rail is fully inserted.
- the retraction position is characterized by reaching an end stop.
- a telescopic rail is mentioned, this term is to be understood in such a general way that not only rails are included in which the first rail element and the second rail element have approximately the same length, but also linear guides, in which the first rail element is significantly shorter than the second rail element.
- the shielding element covers the first rail element and the second rail element in the retracted position over their entire length in the extension direction.
- the telescopic rail according to the invention has a first rail element and a second rail element, this does not rule out the telescopic rail comprising further rail elements, in particular for providing a full extension.
- the first rail element of the telescopic rail is the moving rail element which, when the telescopic rail is installed, accommodates the food support and is pulled out of the oven muffle opposite the second rail element and optionally opposite one or more other rail elements.
- the first leg section of the shielding element is the upper leg section and, in one embodiment, this accommodates the food support.
- a rolling body in the sense of the present application is understood to mean a rotating body which, as an element of a guide, reduces the friction between the various rail elements significantly reduced and thus facilitates a relative movement of two rail elements to each other.
- Rolling elements are, for example, balls, rollers, barrels, needles or cones.
- the rolling elements are balls.
- the rolling element cage is a ball cage.
- the rolling bodies can be made of an electrically conductive material, for example steel.
- the first rail element and/or the second rail element and/or the shielding element are made of a material selected from a group consisting of sheet steel, aluminized sheet steel and stainless steel.
- the shielding element is formed from a sheet material
- all elements or sections of the shielding element can be produced by appropriate folding or bending of a sheet metal section previously cut to the appropriate dimensions.
- the shielding element is made of a ferritic steel. Compared to austenitic steel, ferritic steel heats up less under the influence of microwave radiation.
- the first rail element, the second rail element and the shielding element are made from an austenitic steel. Austenitic steel leads to improved corrosion resistance.
- At least the first rail element or the second rail element has two legs, which form the running surfaces for the rolling bodies, and a back section connecting the two legs.
- first transition section which connects the connecting section and the first leg section of the shielding element to one another, is of decisive importance for the function of the shielding element as shielding for the microwave radiation.
- Increased heating and electrical charging of the shielding element occurs in the region of this transition section.
- the first transition section has a radius of curvature of 5 mm or more and preferably 6 mm or more.
- the inventive design of the first transition section between the connecting section and the first leg section i.e. the transition section to the upper leg section when the telescopic rail is installed, already causes a strong reduction in electrical charging the telescopic rail.
- the shielding element is additionally designed in such a way that it has a curved second transition section connecting the connecting section and the second leg section, the second transition section having a radius of curvature of 4 mm or more, preferably 5 mm or more and particularly preferably of 6 mm or more.
- first leg section, the second leg section and the connecting section of the shielding element are formed by planar elements and the first and the second transition section are formed by sections adjoining these surface sections and in a cross-sectional plane perpendicular to the extension direction.
- the first leg section and the first transition section together have a depth in a direction perpendicular to the extension direction, which is essentially equal to the depth of all rail elements together in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction.
- the second leg portion and the second transition portion together have a depth in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction that is substantially equal to the depth in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction of all rail elements together.
- the shielding element has a cover section at a front end in the pull-out direction, which cover section extends essentially perpendicularly to the connection section, the cover section having an area that covers essentially the entire of the connection section and the first and the second leg portion defined cross-section of the shielding covers.
- the cover section is arranged on the end of the first rail element pointing towards the door of the microwave oven. This cover portion prevents microwave radiation from entering the area between the rail members from the door of the microwave oven.
- the cover section thus completes the shielding effect of the shielding element.
- the cover section can project beyond an upper surface of the first leg section, so that the cover section also serves as a front stop for a food support.
- the shielding element has a curved third transition section connecting the connecting section and the covering section, this third transition section having a radius of curvature of less than 6 mm, preferably less than 5 mm and particularly preferably less than 4 mm. It has been shown that a small radius of curvature of the third transition section, due to the associated closing of any gaps through which the microwave radiation can enter the region of the rail elements, has a greater effect than reduced reflection at the fourth transition section with a large radius of curvature this place.
- the shielding element has a food support stop at a rear end of the first leg section in the pull-out direction, the food support stop extending essentially perpendicularly to the first leg section.
- the food support stop protrudes in relation to the shielding element, in particular in relation to the first leg section of the shielding element, and therefore develops an antenna effect for the microwave radiation of the microwave oven. It is therefore important to design the food support stop to be as reflective as possible for the microwave radiation. This is achieved by a curved outer contour with a preferably large radius of curvature. Therefore, in one embodiment of the invention, the food support stop has a curved outer contour, the radius of curvature of the outer contour preferably being 4 mm or more, preferably 5 mm or more and particularly preferably 6 mm or more.
- the food support stop has a depth in a direction perpendicular to the pull-out direction that is at least equal to 2/3 of the depth of the first leg section in the direction perpendicular to the pull-out direction.
- the depth of the Food support stop in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction equal to the depth of the first leg section in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction.
- the shielding element has a rear section connected to the first leg section or to the second leg section and extending essentially parallel to the connection section.
- This rear section embraces the rail elements and forms a wall section of the shielding element on a fourth side.
- the first rail element is at a smaller distance from the first leg section of the shielding element than the second rail element, wherein in this embodiment preferably no rear section connected to the second leg section is provided.
- the shielding element has a fourth transition section connecting the first or the second leg section to the rear section.
- the fourth transition section is also curved and has a large radius of curvature, preferably a radius of curvature of 4 mm or more, particularly preferably 5 mm or more and particularly preferably 6 mm or more.
- the telescopic rail is designed in such a way that the first rail element has at least one electrically conductive contact element and the second rail element has at least one electrically conductive contact element, with the contact element of the first rail element and the contact element of the second rail element being designed in such a way and being attached to the rail elements are arranged such that in the retracted position either the contact element of the first rail element and the contact element of the second rail element are in engagement with one another or that the contact element of the first rail element and the contact element of the second rail element each have a Rolling body cage moving electrically conductive guide element are engaged, so that in the retracted position there is an electrically conductive connection between the first and the second rail element.
- Such an embodiment brings about a potential equalization of at least one rail element which is exposed to the microwave radiation. It is initially irrelevant whether the local charges that have arisen there flow off onto an immediately adjacent rail element or another rail element. In the case of a full extension with three rail elements, the charges can alternatively flow to the middle rail element or to the inner rail element. It has been shown that such contact elements in the retracted position can not only effectively prevent sparks between the edges and tips of adjacent rail elements, but also a selective current flow via the rolling elements of the telescopic rail.
- the latter proves to be particularly advantageous because localized currents that flow through the contact points of the rolling elements with the running surfaces of the rail elements can lead to damage to the rolling elements and running surfaces and, moreover, lubricant in the vicinity of the rolling elements can be destroyed by thermal influence .
- the contact element of the first rail element and the contact element of the second rail element are not in engagement with one another, or at least the contact element of the first rail element or the contact element of the second rail element are not in engagement with the guide element, so that in the at least one other position, the electrically conductive connection is interrupted.
- What is decisive for this embodiment of the invention is the knowledge that the mechanical engagement and thus the direct electrically conductive connection between the contact elements are only required in the pushed-in state. Closing the door of a microwave oven presupposes that the rail elements of the telescopic rail no longer project beyond the muffle of the microwave oven.
- the contact elements according to the invention do not provide an electrically conductive connection, at least in a position other than the retracted position, i.e. the electrically conductive connection is then interrupted.
- the contact elements are electrically conductively connected to the rail elements in order to be able to provide the potential equalization.
- at least one of the contact elements is formed in one piece with the respective rail element.
- At least one of the contact elements is formed by a projection on the first or second rail element. It is expedient here if the projection has a greater extent in the pull-out direction than in a direction perpendicular to the pull-out direction. A greater extension of the projection in the extension direction than in a direction perpendicular to the extension direction ensures the function of the contact elements even when the telescopic rail is not fully retracted, i.e. is in the retracted position.
- the contact element of the first rail element is formed by a projection and the contact element of the second rail element is formed by a projection, the projection on the first rail element having a greater extent in the pull-out direction than in a direction perpendicular to the pull-out direction and wherein the projection on the second rail element has a smaller extent in the pull-out direction than in the direction perpendicular to the pull-out direction.
- Longitudinally extended projections arranged crossed with respect to one another on the two rail elements as contact elements are able to compensate for the tolerances of the profiles of the rail elements and of the assembly.
- the tolerance chain to be taken into account also includes the dimensions of the installation space of a household appliance, in particular the muffle of a microwave oven, and the door that closes it.
- the telescopic rail provides full extension, with the telescopic rail having two outer rail elements and a central rail element, and with the projection having a greater extent in the extension direction than the extent in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction on the central rail element.
- the contact elements are in engagement with one another or both with the guide element only in the retracted position, i.e. when the end stop is reached.
- the shielding element has a distance of 5 mm or more from a side wall of an oven muffle of the microwave oven.
- the lengths of the rail elements of the telescopic rail are selected such that, when the door of the microwave oven is closed, the telescopic rail is in the retracted position or in an only partially extended position.
- the microwave oven includes a source of microwave radiation having a frequency of about 2.4 GHz.
- the telescopic rails 1,1' are therefore both full extensions, ie a food support accommodated on them can be pulled out of the oven muffle of a microwave oven over a length which is at least equal to the length of the food support in the pull-out direction.
- the rail element shown in the two embodiments which can be pulled out completely, is used as the first rail element 4 denotes, while the rail element denoted by 2 forms the second rail element.
- the second rail element 2 is directly or indirectly connected to the muffle of the microwave oven and therefore forms the stationary rail element.
- a further, third rail element 3 is arranged between the first rail element 4 and the second rail element 2, which forms the central rail element of the full extension.
- the first rail element 4 and the second rail element 2 each consist of a back section 5, 6 and two legs 7, 8 or 9, 10.
- the inner surfaces of the legs 7, 8, 9, 10 form the running surfaces of the rail elements 2, 4.
- the third, central rail element 3 has four running surfaces, each of which points outwards.
- Balls 11 are arranged as rolling bodies between the running surfaces of the second rail element 2 and two running surfaces of the central rail element 3 and between the running surfaces of the first rail element 4 and two further running surfaces of the central rail element 3 .
- the balls 11 are guided in ball cages 12, 13, which extend between the rail elements 2, 3, 4.
- the rail elements are designed in such a way that in figure 1 Provide electrically conductive contacts shown collection position, so that a potential equalization between the three rail elements 2, 3, 4 can take place. In this way, the probability of a spark flashover, particularly at the corners and edges of the rail elements 2, 3, 4 and the ball cages 12, 13, is reduced. Such potential differences between the rail elements 2, 3, 4 can occur if the telescopic rail 1, 1' arranged in the muffle of a microwave oven is exposed to the microwave radiation.
- the electrically conductive contacts must be used to prevent an essentially punctiform current flow via the balls 11 between the rail elements 2, 3, 4.
- the telescopic rails 1, 1' according to the embodiments of the present invention also have a shielding element 14 made of sheet metal. This completely surrounds the rail elements 2, 3, 4 in the retracted position on at least four sides.
- the shielding element 14 has an evenly extended connecting section 15 which extends parallel to the back section 6 of the first rail element 4 .
- the connecting section 15 viewed in a plane perpendicular to the extension direction 28 is essentially a section of a straight line is formed.
- the shielding element has a first leg section 17 and a second leg section 18 on the top or bottom side. In the illustrated embodiment, these extend perpendicularly to the connecting section 15.
- the food support can be accommodated on the surface 19 of the first leg section 17.
- first and second leg sections 17, 18 extend in cross-section in the form of straight sections and form flat, extended outer surfaces (16, 19, see Fig figure 1 ).
- the connecting section 15 is connected on the one hand via a first curved transition section 20 to the first leg section 17 and on the other hand via a second curved transition section 21 to the second leg section 18 .
- both transition sections 20, 21 are recognizable as part-circular arcs, here quarter-circle arcs.
- the transition sections 20, 21 have a large radius of curvature, a radius of curvature of 6 mm in the illustrated embodiments of the figures.
- leg sections 17, 18 together with the transition sections 20, 21 have a depth in a direction 22 perpendicular to the extension direction 28 which is approximately the depth of all three rail elements 2, 3, 4 in the assembled state in the direction 22. In this way, the rail elements 2, 3, 4 are completely shielded.
- the first and second leg sections 17, 18 of the shielding element 14 When installed, the first and second leg sections 17, 18 of the shielding element 14 have a minimum distance of 5.5 mm from the side wall of the furnace muffle.
- the first rail element 4 is arranged below the second rail element 2 .
- the back section 5 of the second rail element 2 closes off the installation space formed by the shielding element 14 in the upper half of the telescopic rail in the direction of the side wall of the furnace muffle.
- the back section 5 prevents microwave radiation from entering the area between the rail elements 2, 3, 4 and shields the interior of the shielding element 14 from behind.
- the second rail element 2 below the first rail element 4Z , as in the embodiment according to figure 4 is shown.
- that of the leg portions 17, 18 and the connecting portion 15 Defined installation space of the telescopic rail 1' is shielded by an additional rear section 23 in the upper half of the telescopic rail 1'.
- the first leg section 17 of the shielding element 14, which is upper in the installed state, has a cooking product support stop 25 at the rear end 24 of the telescopic rail 1, 1' in the pull-out direction 28.
- the food support stop 25 acts like an antenna for the microwave radiation in the microwave oven and therefore basically leads both to increased heating of the telescopic rail 1 in this area and to increased electrical charging.
- the food support stop 25 has a width that is equal to the width of the first leg section 17 in the direction 22 perpendicular to the pull-out direction 28 .
- the outer contour 26 is curved with a large radius of curvature. In the illustrated embodiment, the outer contour 26 is in the form of a semicircular arc with a radius of curvature of 5 mm.
- Both embodiments of the telescopic rails 1 , 1 ′ also have a front cover section 27 which shields the front side of the rail elements 2 , 3 , 4 .
- the covering section 27 has an area which is approximately the same size as the cross-sectional area spanned by the back section 5 of the second rail element 2 and by the leg sections 17 , 18 and the connecting section 15 of the shielding element 14 .
- the third transition section 29 is designed with a small radius of curvature, here of 4 mm.
- the cover section 27 also forms a front food support stop for receiving a food support between the rear food support stop 25 and the cover section 27 due to its overhang in relation to the surface 19 of the first leg section 17.

They are used in various household appliances, but also in automobile construction and in many other applications.
While a large number of areas of application can already be addressed with the known telescopic rails, telescopic rails have not yet been able to establish themselves in microwave ovens.

It is therefore proposed according to the invention to design a telescopic rail of the type mentioned at the outset for a microwave oven in such a way that the first rail element has a shielding element which is moved together with the first rail element and is made of a material which is opaque to microwave radiation from the microwave oven, the shielding element having a connecting section which is essentially parallel extends to the back section, has a first leg section and a second leg section, so that the shielding element encompasses the first and the second rail element with a substantially U-shaped cross section, the connecting section, the first leg section and the second leg section having a length in the pull-out direction have, so that the shielding element in the retracted position covers the first and the second rail element over their entire length in the extension direction, the shielding element having a connecting section and d a curved first transition section connecting the first leg section, and wherein the first transition section (20) has a radius of curvature of 4 mm or more..
The energy of the microwave radiation inside the oven muffle of a microwave oven is partly reflected by all metal surfaces and partly absorbed. The absorption of the microwave radiation leads to heating and, as described above, to an electrical charge on the metallic parts. The labyrinth-like geometries of telescopic rails have proven to be critical. The electromagnetic microwave radiation is reflected back and forth between the individual elements of a telescopic rail made of an electrically conductive material until it is ultimately completely absorbed by one of the elements of the telescopic rail. The aim of the present invention is therefore to shield the rail elements and, if necessary, the rolling element cages and the rolling elements from the microwave radiation. This task is performed by the shielding element according to the invention. Crucial to the function of the shielding element is the need for the shielding element to cover the entire length of the first and the second rail element during operation of the microwave oven. For this purpose, the shielding element has a length in the extension direction such that the shielding element completely covers the two rail elements in the retracted position. Microwave ovens can usually only be put into operation when the door of the microwave oven is closed. Only then can the electromagnetic microwave radiation affect the telescopic rail. However, closing the door presupposes that the rail elements of the telescopic rail no longer project beyond the muffle of the microwave oven. The shielding element is therefore arranged on the first rail element in such a way that it is moved along with the first rail element when it is extended. In one embodiment of the invention, the shielding element is a part that is produced separately from the first rail element and is then connected to the first rail element. The connection between the shielding element and the first rail element can be detachable be designed. In one embodiment, however, the shielding element is firmly connected to the first rail element, for example by welding.
The shielding element achieves its effectiveness as shielding of the first and the second rail element from the microwave radiation in the furnace muffle through its geometry in a cross section perpendicular to the pull-out direction. The shielding element is designed in such a way that it encompasses the first and the second rail element with a substantially U-shaped cross section (in a cross-sectional plane perpendicular to the extension direction). In this case, the shielding element has a connecting section which extends essentially parallel to the back section of the first rail element. In one embodiment, the shielding element is connected at its connection section to the back section of the first rail element.
In the installed state, the first and second leg sections then extend, starting from the connecting section, in the direction of the furnace muffle. In one embodiment of the invention, the first leg section and the second leg section are essentially perpendicular to the connecting section.
In an embodiment of the invention, the surface of the connecting portion of the shielding member facing away from the first rail member is a flat extended surface. Such reflects the microwave radiation in an advantageous manner. Also in one embodiment of the invention, the surfaces of the first leg portion and the second leg portion facing away from the first rail member have planar extended surfaces to provide good reflection of the microwave radiation.
For the shielding effect of the shielding element, it is crucial that the shielding element has a material that is opaque to the microwave radiation of the microwave oven. Such non-transparent materials absorb the microwave radiation or preferably reflect it.
In one embodiment of the invention, the microwave radiation from the microwave oven has a frequency of 2.4 GHz. It goes without saying that in such an embodiment the shielding element has a material which is opaque to microwave radiation with a frequency of 2.4 GHz.
Examples of materials that are opaque to the microwave radiation of a microwave oven are metals and materials such as glass in which metallic materials are embedded.
In one embodiment of the invention, at least the surfaces of the shielding element, preferably a metal shielding element, pointing away from the first and second rail elements are provided with a coating, for example an easy-to-clean coating, a coating with SiO 2 or a ceramic.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the shielding element is made from a solid metal sheet with no perforations in the material or with only a small number of perforations.
For the purposes of the present application, the retracted position is understood to mean that position of the first and second rail elements relative to one another in which the telescopic rail is fully inserted. Typically, the retraction position is characterized by reaching an end stop.
If, within the meaning of the present application, a telescopic rail is mentioned, this term is to be understood in such a general way that not only rails are included in which the first rail element and the second rail element have approximately the same length, but also linear guides, in which the first rail element is significantly shorter than the second rail element. In such an embodiment, too, the shielding element covers the first rail element and the second rail element in the retracted position over their entire length in the extension direction.
If it is stated in the present application that the telescopic rail according to the invention has a first rail element and a second rail element, this does not rule out the telescopic rail comprising further rail elements, in particular for providing a full extension.
For the purposes of the present application, the first rail element of the telescopic rail according to the invention is the moving rail element which, when the telescopic rail is installed, accommodates the food support and is pulled out of the oven muffle opposite the second rail element and optionally opposite one or more other rail elements. In the installed state of the telescopic rail, the first leg section of the shielding element is the upper leg section and, in one embodiment, this accommodates the food support.
A rolling body in the sense of the present application is understood to mean a rotating body which, as an element of a guide, reduces the friction between the various rail elements significantly reduced and thus facilitates a relative movement of two rail elements to each other. Rolling elements are, for example, balls, rollers, barrels, needles or cones. In one embodiment of the present invention, the rolling elements are balls. It goes without saying that in this case the rolling element cage is a ball cage. In particular, in one embodiment of the invention, the rolling bodies can be made of an electrically conductive material, for example steel.
In one embodiment of the invention, the first rail element and/or the second rail element and/or the shielding element are made of a material selected from a group consisting of sheet steel, aluminized sheet steel and stainless steel.
It goes without saying that in an embodiment of the invention in which the shielding element is formed from a sheet material, all elements or sections of the shielding element can be produced by appropriate folding or bending of a sheet metal section previously cut to the appropriate dimensions.
In one embodiment of the invention, the shielding element is made of a ferritic steel. Compared to austenitic steel, ferritic steel heats up less under the influence of microwave radiation.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the first rail element, the second rail element and the shielding element are made from an austenitic steel. Austenitic steel leads to improved corrosion resistance.
In one embodiment of the invention, at least the first rail element or the second rail element has two legs, which form the running surfaces for the rolling bodies, and a back section connecting the two legs.
It has been found that the design of a first transition section, which connects the connecting section and the first leg section of the shielding element to one another, is of decisive importance for the function of the shielding element as shielding for the microwave radiation. Increased heating and electrical charging of the shielding element occurs in the region of this transition section. Only the configuration according to the invention of the transition section with a shape that is curved in cross section perpendicularly to the pull-out direction brings about a reflection of the microwave radiation in this transition section as well.
In one embodiment, the first transition section has a radius of curvature of 5 mm or more and preferably 6 mm or more.
Due to the geometry of the furnace muffle and the arrangement of a typical microwave source relative to the telescopic rails, the inventive design of the first transition section between the connecting section and the first leg section, i.e. the transition section to the upper leg section when the telescopic rail is installed, already causes a strong reduction in electrical charging the telescopic rail.
However, in one embodiment of the invention, the shielding element is additionally designed in such a way that it has a curved second transition section connecting the connecting section and the second leg section, the second transition section having a radius of curvature of 4 mm or more, preferably 5 mm or more and particularly preferably of 6 mm or more.
In one embodiment of the invention, the first leg section, the second leg section and the connecting section of the shielding element are formed by planar elements and the first and the second transition section are formed by sections adjoining these surface sections and in a cross-sectional plane perpendicular to the extension direction.
In order to achieve the best possible shielding effect, in one embodiment of the invention the first leg section and the first transition section together have a depth in a direction perpendicular to the extension direction, which is essentially equal to the depth of all rail elements together in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction. preferably wherein the second leg portion and the second transition portion together have a depth in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction that is substantially equal to the depth in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction of all rail elements together. In this way the rail elements are completely enclosed on three sides thereof by the shielding element.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the shielding element has a cover section at a front end in the pull-out direction, which cover section extends essentially perpendicularly to the connection section, the cover section having an area that covers essentially the entire of the connection section and the first and the second leg portion defined cross-section of the shielding covers.
It goes without saying that when the telescopic rail is installed, the cover section is arranged on the end of the first rail element pointing towards the door of the microwave oven. This cover portion prevents microwave radiation from entering the area between the rail members from the door of the microwave oven. The cover section thus completes the shielding effect of the shielding element. In addition, the cover section can project beyond an upper surface of the first leg section, so that the cover section also serves as a front stop for a food support.
The aim here is to largely reduce the gaps between the first and the second leg section and the first and the second transition section and the cover section. Therefore, in one embodiment of the invention, the shielding element has a curved third transition section connecting the connecting section and the covering section, this third transition section having a radius of curvature of less than 6 mm, preferably less than 5 mm and particularly preferably less than 4 mm. It has been shown that a small radius of curvature of the third transition section, due to the associated closing of any gaps through which the microwave radiation can enter the region of the rail elements, has a greater effect than reduced reflection at the fourth transition section with a large radius of curvature this place.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the shielding element has a food support stop at a rear end of the first leg section in the pull-out direction, the food support stop extending essentially perpendicularly to the first leg section. This design of the shielding element with a food support stop perpendicular to the first leg section means that a corresponding design of the first rail element can be omitted.
The food support stop protrudes in relation to the shielding element, in particular in relation to the first leg section of the shielding element, and therefore develops an antenna effect for the microwave radiation of the microwave oven.
In one embodiment of the invention, the food support stop has a depth in a direction perpendicular to the pull-out direction that is at least equal to 2/3 of the depth of the first leg section in the direction perpendicular to the pull-out direction. Preferably, however, the depth of the Food support stop in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction equal to the depth of the first leg section in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction.
In one embodiment of the invention, the shielding element has a rear section connected to the first leg section or to the second leg section and extending essentially parallel to the connection section. This rear section embraces the rail elements and forms a wall section of the shielding element on a fourth side.
An embodiment in which the rear section is connected to the first leg section and the first rail element is at a greater distance from the first leg section of the shielding element than the second rail element has proven to be particularly expedient. In this way, the rear section closes the volume within the shielding element that is not covered by the rear section of the second rail element.
In an alternative embodiment, the first rail element is at a smaller distance from the first leg section of the shielding element than the second rail element, wherein in this embodiment preferably no rear section connected to the second leg section is provided.
It goes without saying that in one embodiment of the invention the shielding element has a fourth transition section connecting the first or the second leg section to the rear section. In one embodiment, the fourth transition section is also curved and has a large radius of curvature, preferably a radius of curvature of 4 mm or more, particularly preferably 5 mm or more and particularly preferably 6 mm or more.
In one embodiment of the invention, the telescopic rail is designed in such a way that the first rail element has at least one electrically conductive contact element and the second rail element has at least one electrically conductive contact element, with the contact element of the first rail element and the contact element of the second rail element being designed in such a way and being attached to the rail elements are arranged such that in the retracted position either the contact element of the first rail element and the contact element of the second rail element are in engagement with one another or that the contact element of the first rail element and the contact element of the second rail element each have a Rolling body cage moving electrically conductive guide element are engaged, so that in the retracted position there is an electrically conductive connection between the first and the second rail element.
Such an embodiment brings about a potential equalization of at least one rail element which is exposed to the microwave radiation. The latter proves to be particularly advantageous because localized currents that flow through the contact points of the rolling elements with the running surfaces of the rail elements can lead to damage to the rolling elements and running surfaces and, moreover, lubricant in the vicinity of the rolling elements can be destroyed by thermal influence .
The combination of providing potential equalization and a shielding element has proven to be particularly advantageous in the case of telescopic rails whose rail elements are made of austenitic steel.
In one embodiment, in at least one position other than the retracted position, the contact element of the first rail element and the contact element of the second rail element are not in engagement with one another, or at least the contact element of the first rail element or the contact element of the second rail element are not in engagement with the guide element, so that in the at least one other position, the electrically conductive connection is interrupted. What is decisive for this embodiment of the invention is the knowledge that the mechanical engagement and thus the direct electrically conductive connection between the contact elements are only required in the pushed-in state. Closing the door of a microwave oven presupposes that the rail elements of the telescopic rail no longer project beyond the muffle of the microwave oven. In this embodiment, the contact elements according to the invention do not provide an electrically conductive connection, at least in a position other than the retracted position, i.e. the electrically conductive connection is then interrupted.
Under an engagement between the contact element of the first rail element and the contact element of the second rail element is understood in the context of the present application, a direct mechanical contact of their surfaces, which is such that an electric current can flow between the contact elements and over the point of intervention, ie over the point of contact between the two contact elements.
It goes without saying that the contact elements are electrically conductively connected to the rail elements in order to be able to provide the potential equalization. In one embodiment, at least one of the contact elements is formed in one piece with the respective rail element.
In one embodiment, at least one of the contact elements is formed by a projection on the first or second rail element.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the contact element of the first rail element is formed by a projection and the contact element of the second rail element is formed by a projection, the projection on the first rail element having a greater extent in the pull-out direction than in a direction perpendicular to the pull-out direction and wherein the projection on the second rail element has a smaller extent in the pull-out direction than in the direction perpendicular to the pull-out direction. Longitudinally extended projections arranged crossed with respect to one another on the two rail elements as contact elements are able to compensate for the tolerances of the profiles of the rail elements and of the assembly. In one embodiment, the tolerance chain to be taken into account also includes the dimensions of the installation space of a household appliance, in particular the muffle of a microwave oven, and the door that closes it.
In one embodiment of the invention, the telescopic rail provides full extension, with the telescopic rail having two outer rail elements and a central rail element, and with the projection having a greater extent in the extension direction than the extent in the direction perpendicular to the extension direction on the central rail element.
In one embodiment of the invention, the contact elements are in engagement with one another or both with the guide element only in the retracted position, i.e. when the end stop is reached.
One of the above objects is also achieved by a microwave oven with a telescopic rail in an embodiment thereof as previously described.
In one embodiment of the invention, the shielding element has a distance of 5 mm or more from a side wall of an oven muffle of the microwave oven.
In one embodiment of the invention, the lengths of the rail elements of the telescopic rail are selected such that, when the door of the microwave oven is closed, the telescopic rail is in the retracted position or in an only partially extended position.
In one embodiment, the microwave oven includes a source of microwave radiation having a frequency of about 2.4 GHz.

Within the meaning of the present application, the rail element shown in the two embodiments, which can be pulled out completely, is used as the

However, it has been found that, particularly depending on the metal used to manufacture the
