Description

The invention relates to a mouthpiece system for a breathing aid according to claim 1.

Mouthpiece systems or mouthpieces for breathing aids for swimmers are also known from the prior art, the mouthpiece systems so far being designed in such a way that, for example, the exhaled air rises like bubbles in front of the swimmer's eyes. This leads to impairments in swimming. In addition, a corresponding resistance for the swimmer can also be felt when exhaling. Furthermore, previously known mouthpiece systems have the disadvantage that they cannot be used to perform roll turns. So far, water has entered known mouthpiece systems in such roll turns.

In CN 203 497 157 U In connection with FIG. 5, a type of extension is disclosed which has a plurality of openings. The openings are individual material recesses. When using the in CN 203 497 157 U The extension shown is to be expected when performing roll turns with the penetration of water into the extension and thus into the mouthpiece system. Furthermore, the in CN 203 497 157 U Exhalation resistance to be overcome during a roll turn is very high.

In U.S. 3,415,245 A1 will, as is particularly the case in the Fig. 2 and FIG. 6 discloses a mouthpiece system with a special construction. Specifically, an arrangement of several pin-like elements is disclosed. According to this mouthpiece design, exhaled air must first flow to the left at a 90 ° angle in order to then be able to exit the openings of the mouthpiece system in a straight line. This mouthpiece system is therefore associated with an extremely high exhalation resistance.
Based on this prior art, the object of the present invention is to further develop a mouthpiece system for a breathing aid for swimmers in such a way that that roll reversals can be carried out. In addition, the mouthpiece system is to be developed in such a way that blown air is no longer whirled up in front of the head, in particular the eyes, of a swimmer.

According to the invention, this object is achieved with regard to the mouthpiece system for a breathing aid by the subject matter of claim 1.

Advantageous and expedient configurations of the mouthpiece system according to the invention are specified in the subclaims.

The invention relates to a mouthpiece system for a breathing aid for swimmers, comprising a mouthpiece, a system housing, an exhalation valve and an air outlet opening, the air outlet opening being covered with a diffuser extension comprising a diffuser plate and the diffuser plate having a plurality of openings.

In the following, the part of the mouthpiece system which is at least partially inserted into the mouth by a swimmer is regarded as the mouthpiece. A mouthpiece typically has a bite guard or tooth support plate. At least the upper lip of a shimmer is preferably sealed by means of a sealing pad of the mouthpiece.

The system housing is used on the one hand to attach the mouthpiece and also includes the exhalation valve. The exhalation valve can be a flutter valve, for example. In addition, the system housing of the mouthpiece system is preferably used to accommodate an end of the snorkel tube. After an exhalation valve, an air outlet opening is formed within the system housing, this opening being covered with a diffuser extension. The diffuser extension comprises a diffuser plate, which in turn has a multiplicity of round and / or oval and / or elliptical openings. In other words, a hole pattern is formed on the diffuser plate.

In one embodiment of the invention, the mouthpiece can be firmly locked on the system housing. In addition, it is conceivable that the mouthpiece is interchangeably locked on the system housing, so that the mouthpiece can be exchanged after it has been worn accordingly. In addition, the mouthpiece can when in use can be exchanged in a hygienic manner by several people, provided that it is arranged in the system housing in an exchangeable manner.

The diffuser plate, which is covered by the diffuser extension, has an inner surface facing the exhalation valve and an outer surface facing away from the exhalation valve. The openings in the diffuser plate run from the inner surface to the outer surface at an angle of 40 ° -85 °, in particular 50 ° -80 °, in particular 60 ° -76 °. The angle specification is to be understood in such a way that the perpendicular to the inner surface forms a first reference line, and the opening axis in the longitudinal section through the diffuser plate forms a second reference line, so that the specified angle runs between the two lines.

The openings in the diffuser plate are round and / or oval and / or elliptical. The diffuser plate preferably has a thickness or material thickness such that the openings in the diffuser plate form short channels or short capillaries. The diffuser plate can have a sieve-like or mesh-like structure.

When in use, the angle runs downwards towards the front, i.e. towards the swimmer's chin. As a result, the escaping air is not directed towards the face, but towards the back, i.e. towards the neck. As a result, no air bubbles develop or form in front of the swimmer's face. In addition, such an angular formation has the consequence that no water can flow into the mouthpiece when a roll turn is carried out.

The described angle at which the openings extend from the inner surface to the outer surface can be individually adapted to the swimmer, in particular to the lung volume and / or the performance and / or the preferences of the swimmer.

For this purpose, it is advantageous that the diffuser plate and / or the diffuser extension is or are replaceably attached to the system housing, in particular by means of latching and / or snap connections. Depending on the level of training or the physical condition of the swimmer, a diffuser plate can be placed in the mouthpiece system can be installed interchangeably, with the different diffuser plates differing from one another in terms of angle.

The mouthpiece system preferably comprises a mouthpiece with a bite guard or with a tooth support plate. A cross-section through the mouthpiece system according to the invention when viewed from the side shows an angle that is formed between an opening axis of an opening in the diffuser plate and the bite guard or tooth support plate. This angle is between 90 and 40 °, in particular between 80 and 50 °, in particular between 75 and 65 °. On the basis of this angle, the outflow behavior of the air pressed or blown through the diffuser plate is further determined. In addition, an angle set in this way contributes to a pleasant feeling when worn in the mouth with respect to the mouthpiece system.

Furthermore, it is conceivable that the system housing has at least one lateral opening in which a snorkel tube is rotatably mounted. The mouthpiece system is consequently preferably not permanently connected to the snorkel tube, rather it is advantageous if the snorkel tube is rotatably mounted within the mouthpiece system.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is conceivable that the system housing has two opposite lateral openings, in each of which a snorkel tube is rotatably mounted.

It is conceivable that a preferably circular or elliptical ring-shaped flange surface of a snorkel tube is or can be rotatably arranged in the system housing of the mouthpiece system on an inner surface that delimits the lateral opening. Due to such an arrangement, the mouthpiece system and / or the snorkel tube can be individually adapted to the head of the respective swimmer with regard to the respective positioning.

The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. The air outlet opening accordingly describes the space between the exhalation valve 23 and the diffuser plate 26. The diffuser plate has an inner surface 28 facing the exhalation valve 23 and an outer surface 29 facing away from the exhalation valve 23. The openings 27 in the diffuser plate 26 extend from the inner surface 28 to the outer surface 29 at an angle δ of 60 ° -76 °. In the sectional drawings shown, the openings 27 therefore run obliquely downward in the direction of the chin, starting from the mouth. Thus, no air bubbles are developed in front of the swimmer's face. The expelled air flows towards the chin or neck. The angle δ described can be adaptable to the lung volume and / or the performance and / or the preferences of the swimmer. The exhaled air flows along the in Fig. 2h arrow directions shown.

Like that Figures 2b-2h can be removed, the diffuser plate 26 and / or the diffuser extension 25 can be attached to the system housing 22 in an exchangeable manner, in particular by means of latching and / or snap connections. In the example shown, the openings 27 of the diffuser plate are curved (see FIG Fig. 2h ) runs, opening axes running parallel to one another.

The opening 27, which represents the first opening seen from above, runs parallel to a central opening 27 'and parallel to the last opening 27 ", the is formed in the bottom region 30 of the diffuser plate 26. The openings (27 ″) in the bottom area 30 of the diffuser plate have a different angle so that the openings or opening axes can be made parallel. Together with a fastening flange 31, the diffuser plate 26 forms the diffuser extension 25. The diffuser extension 25 can be attached to the system housing 22 be attached.

In the present example, the system housing 22 has two opposite lateral openings 32, in each of which a snorkel tube 40 is rotatably mounted. For this purpose, the snorkel tube 40 can preferably have an annular or elliptical flange surface, the flange surface (not shown) being rotatably arranged on an inner surface delimiting the lateral opening 32.

Figure imgb0001
beschreibt, der 60 bis 80°, insbesondere 65 bis 75°, insbesondere 70°, ist.In Figure 2c it is also shown that the mouthpiece 21 can be arranged on the system housing 22 in such a way that an imaginary extension through a tooth support plate 82 of the mouthpiece 21 forms an angle with the extensions of the openings 27 formed in the diffuser plate 26
Figure imgb0001
describes, which is 60 to 80 °, in particular 65 to 75 °, in particular 70 °.

With the aid of the mouthpiece system 20 according to the invention, it is possible for a swimmer to perform a roll turn, with no water being able to penetrate into the mouthpiece system 20. This is possible above all because of the inclined openings 27.

In the Figures 2a and 2b Furthermore, a snorkel tube 40 according to the invention is shown. The snorkel tube 40 comprises a first section 91 facing the mouthpiece 21 or the mouthpiece system 20 and a second section 92 associated with an air inlet opening or the valve system 10.

Der Winkel ϕ, der die Abwinklungen des zweiten Abschnitts 92 vom ersten Abschnitt 91 beschreibt und beträgt insbesondere 12 bis 18°.The Figures 2a and 2b it can be seen that the snorkel tube 40 is bent several times. When looking at the snorkel tube 40 in the state of use of the breathing aid in a side view, as shown in FIG Figure 2b is shown, it can be seen that the second section 92 is angled from the first section 91. The second section 92 is angled in particular in the direction of the blowout direction AR of the mouthpiece 21 or of the mouthpiece system 20. The angle ϕ, the describes the bends of the second section 92 from the first section 91 and is in particular 12 to 18 °.

When the snorkel tube 40 is viewed in the state of use of the breathing aid, the first section 91 and the second section 92 are seen from above, as shown in FIG Fig. 2a is shown, bent in such a way that there is a convex bend which corresponds approximately to the shape of a swimmer's head. From this perspective it can also be seen that the first section 91 has a linear longitudinal extent LE1 which corresponds to at least 1.8 times, in particular at least twice the extent of the linear longitudinal extent LE2 of the second section 92. The linear longitudinal extensions LE1 and LE2 thus describe the linear distance between the respective ends of the first section 91 and the second section 92, respectively.

In Fig. 2a it can also be seen that the bending radius r1 in the first section 91 is designed as a convex bending radius r1, which can be configured differently in comparison to the bending radius r2 of the second section 92. In the second section 92, a shoulder can furthermore be formed on the outer surface such that a cap-like housing, in particular the illustrated valve housing 1, can be pushed onto the second section 92 at least in sections. In the area of the shoulder, the snorkel tube housing can have a reduced outer circumference in cross section compared to the rest of the snorkel tube housing of the second section 92.
