Abstract

The invention relates to an inner packaging (11) of preferably moisture- and aroma-tight foil having side seams (31) and transverse seams (32), which inner packaging has an externally applied hood-type cover (39) in the upper, end-face region, which cover is connected to the inner packaging (11) by adhesive bonding, preferably over the full surface. Cigarette pack and method and apparatus for making the same description

The invention relates to a pack for cigarettes or other elongated smoking article having the features of the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing the package and to an apparatus for implementing the method.

Subject of the invention are in particular cigarette packs with a reusable opening aid of the inner pack. By default, the inner pack is provided with a discharge opening for the cigarettes. This preferably extends in the region of an inner front wall and an inner end wall of the inner pack. A preferably U-shaped perforation of the inner blank defines an opening tab of the inner blank or of the inner pack. An actuating or opening tab covering the removal opening or the closing tab is connected to the closure tab and an adjacent area of the blank of the inner pack by full-surface bonding. The actuating tab is detected in the region of an adhesive-free handle or connecting tab to effect the open or closed position. Alternatively, the connecting tab of the actuating tab can be connected to the inside of a lid of the outer pack (WO 2013/053408 A1).

A problem of the inner package with opening aid is the insufficient dimensional stability, especially in inner packings of (sealing) film. This is easily deformable and forms wave structures due to the production and / or due to the operation of the opening aid.

The inner pack is therefore provided in an upper end region with a hood-like cover of a (separate) Abdeckzuschnitt. In addition, a (partial) cover of the same, which may have the structure of a conventional side wall of a cigarette block is preferably ensured in the region of the inner side walls. By folding or by folding flaps cover side walls are formed, which mediate the image of a conventional inner pack with opened folding box as an outer pack. The opening aid is integrated in the cap-like cover or part thereof. Preferably, in the region of a cover front wall and the adjacent cover end wall punches are attached, which define a closure or operating tab. In the production of the inner package or the attachment of the cover blank preferably the inner pack is transported with the inner end wall in the transport direction forward position under U-shaped entrainment of held in a transverse plane, unfolded cover blank. The present cigarette packs consist of an outer pack 10 and an inner pack 11. The latter is used to hold a group of cigarettes preferably in several (three) rows arranged cigarettes 12. The outer pack 10 is preferably a hard pack, especially in the embodiment as a folding box in most embodiments without the usual collar. The folding box consists of a (lower) box part 13 and a lid 14. Preferably, the outer package 10 consists of a one-piece blank, wherein the box part 13 and cover 14 are connected to each other via a line joint in the region of the package back. Finally, as an example of the inner package 11, a tinfoil pack 30 is shown. In this case, an inner cut of tinfoil, paper or other foldable packaging material is provided. An innovative feature is a cover 39 associated with the inner pack 1 1, preferably made of a cover piece 40, which is preferably one-piece. The cover 39 - made of film, (coated) paper or similar foldable packaging material - covers or covers an upper, frontal region of the inner pack 11 in the manner of FIG a (protective) hood. A preferred cover blank 40 - preferably of multilayer film - is formed in one piece and with a rectangular or square shape (FIG. 1). The cover blank 40 is folded in a U-shape over the inner end wall 24. The handle or connecting tab 50 is preferably in a glue-free area, in this case in the region of a strip-shaped, rectangular glue-free field 51 on the inside of the cover 39. The cover 39 is suitable in the described embodiment or with certain deviations for all versions of the inner pack 1 1. Fig. 14 is a concrete embodiment of an inner package 11 with the covers 39 and 73 in the application for a cardboard package 29. The cover blanks 40 are each delivered in an appropriately positioned manner to an inner pack 11 and applied to the inner end wall 24 with a region of the blank forming the cover end wall 42. The cover blanks 40 are arranged on a carrier web 76 in a distance corresponding to the transfer to the successive inner packs. The carrier web 76 is withdrawn from a reel 77 and fed via deflection rollers to a transfer unit 78. After this first U-folding step, the inner packs 11 reach the area of a second folding station. A page folder 81 causes folding of the respective inner folding flaps in the region of the inner side walls 26 with the aid of folding members, in particular folding rollers 82. The foil sealing packing 28 preferably corresponds to the embodiment according to FIG. 2. The cover 39 is deviating, namely without covering side walls.
