Definitions
- the present disclosure relates to the technical field of cleaning equipment, in particular to a sweeping robot and a water tank for a sweeping robot.
- Sweeping robots are self-cleaning devices that reduce the pressure on people to clean. Sweeping robots generally use the structure of roller brushes, rollers, sinks, and water tanks. Clean water is provided to the roller from one end of the water tank, and sewage discharged from the roller is sucked into the sewage tank through negative pressure. The clean water tank and the sewage tank are separated, which greatly diminish practical spacer of the clean equipment.
- a water tank for a cleaning robot comprising: a water tank body.
- the water tank body has an inner cavity, and a partition is disposed in the water tank body. Two ends of the partition abut against the inner wall of the water tank body respectively, so as to separate the inner cavity of the water tank body into a first cavity and a second cavity.
- the first cavity communicates with a first pipe, and the second cavity communicates with a second pipe.
- the water tank further comprises a first connecting hole and a second connecting hole, wherein the first connecting hole and the second connecting hole are each defined by the water tank body and correspond to the first cavity and the second cavity, respectively. Under external force, both ends of the partition move along the inner wall of the water tank body to adjust the capacities of the first cavity and the second cavity.
- a cleaning robot 100 includes a flexible roller 10, a roller motor 11 for driving the flexible roller 10 to rotate, and a water sink 30.
- a gap is defined between the flexible roller 10 and the water sink 30.
- the cleaning robot 100 further comprises a first pipe 55 and a second pipe 56 respectively connected to the water sink 30 and the water tank 50.

- a water tank 50 for the cleaning robot 100 is used to hold clean water for cleaning the flexible roller 10 and sewage generated by the flexible roller 10.
- the water tank 50 is a closed structure, which can prevent water in the water tank 50 from overflowing. The entire system is closed so that the sewage enters the water sink 30 or the sewage sink 302.
- the water tank 50 for the cleaning robot includes a water tank body 51 and a partition 52 disposed in the water tank body 51.
- the water tank body 51 has an inner cavity, and both ends of the partition 52 abut against the inner wall of the water tank body 51.
- the inner cavity of the water tank body 51 is divided into a first cavity 53 for containing clean water or sewage, and a second cavity 54 for containing sewage or fresh water.
- the two ends of the partition 52 can move along the inner wall of the water tank body 51 to adjust the capacities of the first cavity 53 and the second cavity 54 when an external force is applied. Therefore, the volume of the water tank body can be reduced and can be flexible in use.
- the external force described above which may be generated by a difference in water pressure between the first cavity 53 and the second cavity 54, may push the partition 52 to move.

Abstract
Description
- This application is a continuation-in-part of and claims priority to
PCT/CN2018/076690, filed on February 13, 2018 - The present disclosure relates to the technical field of cleaning equipment, in particular to a sweeping robot and a water tank for a sweeping robot.

The water tank body has an inner cavity, and a partition is disposed in the water tank body. Two ends of the partition abut against the inner wall of the water tank body respectively, so as to separate the inner cavity of the water tank body into a first cavity and a second cavity. The first cavity communicates with a first pipe, and the second cavity communicates with a second pipe. The water tank further comprises a first connecting hole and a second connecting hole, wherein the first connecting hole and the second connecting hole are each defined by the water tank body and correspond to the first cavity and the second cavity, respectively. Under external force, both ends of the partition move along the inner wall of the water tank body to adjust the capacities of the first cavity and the second cavity.

- Referring to
Figs. 1-4 , acleaning robot 100 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes aflexible roller 10, aroller motor 11 for driving theflexible roller 10 to rotate, and awater sink 30. A gap is defined between theflexible roller 10 and thewater sink 30. Thecleaning robot 100 further comprises afirst pipe 55 and asecond pipe 56 respectively connected to thewater sink 30 and thewater tank 50. Thecleaning robot 100 further comprises a pressingmember 35 for deforming theflexible roller 10 to press out sewage and aroller brush 20 on a long side of theflexible roller 10. The bristles of theroller brush 20 are in contact with theflexible roller 10, and at least a portion of agarbage collection box 40 is located below theroller brush 20. Theflexible roller 10 is driven by theroller motor 11 to rotate to attach solid waste thereto, sweep the solid waste into thegarbage collection box 40, and absorb liquid waste in theflexible roller 10. Clean water in thewater sink 30 flows into theflexible roller 10 to provide theflexible roller 10 with clean water. - When the
flexible roller 10 cleans the ground, theflexible roller 10 absorbs the liquid waste on the ground and the sewage mixed therewith. When theflexible roller 10, which has absorbed the sewage, rotates against the pressingmember 35, a contacted portion of theflexible roller 10 is compressed by thepressing member 35. The resulting compression causes the sewage absorbed by theflexible roller 10 to be pressed upwards, causing the sewage to have an upward pressure and flow upward. In addition, theflexible roller 10 generates an upward deformation on both sides of the compressed portion of theflexible roller 10, so that the side of the compressed portion of theflexible roller 10 that was originally round or nearly round fills the gap between theflexible roller 10 and thewater sink 30. The discharged sewage is upwardly driven due to the upward pressure and pressed into thewater sink 30 upwards. When the upward pressure generated by the deformation is greater than the gravity of the sewage stored in thewater sink 30 plus the sewage stored in the second pipe 56 (i.e., the sewage pipe), the sewage flows into thewater sink 30, enabling the sewage to be recovered. - The rotary shaft of the
flexible roller 10 is made of a hard material, and the outer peripheral portion thereof is made of a flexible material, for example, made of a sponge, a cotton cloth, etc. Clean water is easily absorbed due to the porosity of the material and the surface cleaning power, and it is easy to clean the ground. Theflexible roller 10 is driven and rotated by theroller motor 11, and theroller motor 11 is also mounted inside the rotary shaft of the flexible roller. The rotation speed of theflexible roller 10 will affect the cleaning ability of thecleaning robot 100, so it is necessary to reasonably set the rotation speed of theflexible roller 10 and to use different rotation speeds when cleaning different environments. The basic principle is that the sweeping torque of a specific speed level which is horizontal to the ground must be greater than the total friction and stickiness of the solid waste on the ground. Alternatively, the specific speed of rotation must provide a force per unit area greater than or at least equal to the time required to complete the removal of garbage. Moreover, the downforce provided to the ground should be sufficient to affix the garbage to theflexible roller 10, so that the garbage can be completely applied to the above-mentioned level for the sweeping torque which is horizontal to the ground to achieve the effect of cleaning the ground. For example, the rotational speed of theflexible roller 10 may be set at 50-140 revolutions per minute (rpm). In a preferred embodiment, the rotational speed of theflexible roller 10 may be set at 70 rpm. The smoother the ground (i.e., the lower the friction on the ground) the smaller the required rotation speed. - In
Fig. 1 , thewater sink 30 is disposed above theflexible roller 10, and an array ofwater holes 32 is disposed at the bottom of thewater sink 30. Awater inlet 201 and awater outlet 202 are disposed on opposite sides of the array of the water holes. Thewater inlet 201 and thewater outlet 202 communicate with thewater tank 50, so that the clean water in thewater tank 50 flows into thewater sink 30 through thewater inlet 201. The clean water in thewater sink 30 flows through the water holes 32 to theflexible roller 10, and the sewage in thewater sink 30 flows out through thewater outlet 202 to thewater tank 50. - Please refer to
Figs. 2 and3 . In order to avoid mixing of clean water and sewage and affecting the cleaning effect of thecleaning robot 100, thewater sink 30 includes aclean water sink 301 and asewage sink 302. Thesewage sink 302 is separate from theclean water sink 301. Theclean water sink 301 supplies the clean water to theflexible roller 10, and thesewage sink 302 collects the water discharged from theflexible roller 10. Correspondingly, the array ofwater holes 32 includes aclean water hole 21 and asewage hole 31. - Referring to
Fig. 2 , theclean water sink 301 and thesewage sink 302 are both disposed above theflexible roller 10. Thesewage sink 302 is disposed on one side of theclean water sink 301 and is separated from thesewage sink 302. Theclean water hole 21 is disposed at the bottom of theclean water sink 301. Theclean water hole 21 of theclean water sink 301 faces theflexible roller 10 so that clean water in theclean water sink 301 can flow through theclean water hole 21 to theflexible roller 10. Thesewage hole 31 is disposed at the bottom of thesewage sink 302. Thesewage sink 302 faces theflexible roller 10 so that sewage can flow from theflexible roller 10 through thesewage hole 31 to thesewage sink 302. One side of theclean water sink 301 is provided with awater inlet 201. Thewater inlet 201 is connected with thewater tank 50 through the first pipe (i.e., a clean water pipe). The clean water in thewater tank 50 enters theclean water sink 301 through thewater inlet 201, and the clean water in theclean water sink 301 enters theflexible roller 10 through theclean water hole 21. Awater outlet 202 is provided on one side of thesewage sink 302, and the amount of sewage flowing out through thewater outlet 202 can be controlled by providing a solenoid valve at thewater outlet 202. When the waste water has accumulated in thesewage sink 302, the waste water may be discharged to thewater tank 50 through thewater outlet 202. In this embodiment, in order to prevent backflow of clean water, thewater inlet 201 is disposed at an upper portion of the side surface of theclean water sink 301, and theclean water hole 21 is disposed at the bottom of theclean water sink 301. - Referring to
Fig. 3 , aclean water sink 301 is disposed above theflexible roller 10, for example. Aclean water hole 21 is disposed at the bottom or side of theclean water sink 301, and theclean water sink 301 communicates with theflexible roller 10 through theclean water hole 21. Thesewage sink 302 is located at one side of theclean water sink 301. Thesewage sink 302 is provided with asewage hole 31. Thesewage sink 302 faces theflexible roller 10 through the sewage hole, so that sewage discharged from theflexible roller 10 passes through thesewage hole 31 and reaches thesewage sink 302 and is discharged. - Referring to
Figs. 1 and2 , the pressingmember 35 is made of a material with a low coefficient of elasticity so as to press theflexible roller 10. For example, the pressingmember 35 may be made of a wooden material, a plastic material, a metal material, etc. to achieve the above-mentioned purpose. It is also possible to use a plurality of materials in combination. For example, the main body may be formed from plastic, and a metal layer reinforcement may be applied on the contact surface where the contact pressure is at the highest. - Referring to
Fig. 2 , the pressingmember 35 is a press roller. The press roller has a cylindrical shape. The press roller is disposed near thewater sink 30 to press waste water into thewater sink 30, and the surface of the press roller is pressed onto the surface of theflexible roller 10. In other embodiments, the press roller may have spherical shape or the like. The press roller presses theflexible roller 10 so that the surface of theflexible roller 10 forms adepression 13. The size of the portion of the press roller located in thedepression 13 is 1/4-1/2 of the radius or diameter of the press roller. This does not affect the normal rotation of theflexible roller 10 and is sufficient to press out the sewage. Of course, theflexible roller 10 can also be rotated when the portion of the press roller located in thedepression 13 is larger than 1/4-1/2 of the radius or diameter of the press roller. In this embodiment, the size of the portion of the press roller located in thedepression 13 is 1/3 of the radius or diameter of the press roller. This size is a preferred pressing size. When theflexible roller 10 rotates, the press roller exerts downward pressure on theflexible roller 10, so that theflexible roller 10 on the side near thewater sink 30 is close to thesewage hole 31 of thewater sink 30. In this way, a large proportion of the sewage enters thewater sink 30, so spillage of sewage that may pollute the cleaned ground is avoided. - In a preferred embodiment, through the sealing of the sewage sink, and the ratio of the sewage entering the
sewage sink 302 due to the upward pressure reaches 85%-95%. Further, when thesewage sink 302 is separated from the clean water sink, the press roller is located on one side of thesewage sink 302. Through the foregoing configuration, this embodiment discloses a cleaning robot that does not need to generate a negative pressure through an air pump during the recovery of sewage, but uses the upward pressure generated when the sewage is pushed into thewater sink 30 to introduce the sewage into thesewage sink 302. The aforementioned technology can reduce costs and failure rates without using air pumps, thus having an advantage over the competition. - It can be understood that the number of press rollers may be one or several, and a plurality of press rollers may be provided without affecting the normal operation of the
cleaning robot 100. In this embodiment, the number of press rollers is one, and the press roller and theroller brush 20 are located on opposite sides of thewater sink 30. - Referring to
Figs. 1 and2 , theroller brush 20 is located above the side of theflexible roller 10, and theroller brush 20 is driven by theroller brush motor 23. When theflexible roller 10 rotates, theroller brush 20 rotates in the opposite direction of theflexible roller 10, thereby removing the dirt on theflexible roller 10. The dirt falls into thegarbage collection box 40 below, thereby removing the dirt. Thegarbage collection box 40 is disposed in the direction of rotation of theflexible roller 10, and a gap is defined between thegarbage collection box 40 and theflexible roller 10. Thegarbage collection box 40 is located on one side of theflexible roller 10 and is located directly below theroller brush 20. The solid garbage is thrust into thegarbage collection box 40 in the forward direction by theflexible roller 10, and any remaining garbage is brushed off theflexible roller 10 by theroller brush 20. Thegarbage collection box 40 is U-shaped, but is arranged in a square shape at the corners. - Referring to
Figs. 1 and4 , awater tank 50 for thecleaning robot 100 is used to hold clean water for cleaning theflexible roller 10 and sewage generated by theflexible roller 10. Thewater tank 50 is a closed structure, which can prevent water in thewater tank 50 from overflowing. The entire system is closed so that the sewage enters thewater sink 30 or thesewage sink 302. In this embodiment, thewater tank 50 for the cleaning robot includes awater tank body 51 and apartition 52 disposed in thewater tank body 51. Thewater tank body 51 has an inner cavity, and both ends of thepartition 52 abut against the inner wall of thewater tank body 51. The inner cavity of thewater tank body 51 is divided into afirst cavity 53 for containing clean water or sewage, and asecond cavity 54 for containing sewage or fresh water. The two ends of thepartition 52 can move along the inner wall of thewater tank body 51 to adjust the capacities of thefirst cavity 53 and thesecond cavity 54 when an external force is applied. Therefore, the volume of the water tank body can be reduced and can be flexible in use. The external force described above, which may be generated by a difference in water pressure between thefirst cavity 53 and thesecond cavity 54, may push thepartition 52 to move. - In this embodiment, the
first cavity 53 is used to hold clean water, and thesecond cavity 54 is used to hold. That is, thefirst pipe 55 is a clean water pipe, thefirst cavity 53 is a clean water cavity, thesecond pipe 56 is a sewage pipe, and thesecond cavity 54 is a sewage cavity. Thefirst pipe 55 communicates with thewater sink 30 through thewater inlet 201 of thewater sink 30 to provide clean water for thewater sink 30, and thesecond pipe 56 communicates with thewater sink 30 through thewater outlet 202 of thewater sink 30 and receives sewage from thewater sink 30. Further, when thesewage sink 302 is separated from theclean water sink 301, thefirst pipe 55 communicates with theclean water sink 301 and thesecond pipe 56 communicates with thesewage sink 302. - In this embodiment, the
partition 52 includes a movingmember 520 and a guidingmember 521. The movingmember 520 abuts an inner wall of thewater tank body 51. The guidingmember 521 is movably connected to thewater tank body 51. The movingmember 520 moves along thewater tank body 51 under the effect of water pressure. Thepartition 52 moves relative to the inner wall of thewater tank body 51 to adjust the capacities of thefirst cavity 53 and thesecond cavity 54. For example, when the volume of clean water entering thewater tank body 51 is greater than the volume of the sewage entering thewater tank body 51, the movingmember 520 is subjected to the water pressure of the clean water and moves toward the sewage cavity. Conversely, when the volume of the sewage entering thewater tank body 51 is greater than the volume of clean water entering thewater tank body 51, the movingmember 520 is subjected to the water pressure of the sewage and moves toward the clean water cavity. - In this embodiment, a
guide hole 57 is defined in the side wall of thewater tank body 51. The guidingmember 521 is sealed and installed in theguide hole 57 to guide the movement of the movingmember 520. Because the guidingmember 521 is sealed and installed in theguide hole 57, water leakage does not occur. For example, a seal apron may be provided around theguide hole 57. Preferably, theguide hole 57 is defined at the top of thewater tank body 51. In this way, water leakage from thewater tank body 51 through theguide hole 57 can be prevented. That is, theguide hole 57 is defined on the left or right side of thewater tank body 51. Thefirst pipe 55 communicates with the right side of thewater tank body 51, and thesecond pipe 56 communicates with the left side of thewater tank body 51. - Further, a
water pump 58 is disposed on thefirst pipe 55 to provide power for the clean water to enter thewater sink 30. Thesecond cavity 54 is in communication with avacuum pump 59. Thevacuum pump 59 can increase the negative pressure for thesecond cavity 54 to pull the sewage in thewater sink 30 into thesecond cavity 54. Still further, ablade 41 is provided on the side of thegarbage collection box 40 near theflexible roller 10 for scraping the garbage on theflexible roller 10. A load-bearing wheel 60 is disposed between the bottom of thegarbage collection box 40 and the bottom of theblade 41 for increasing the load-bearing capacity of the garbage collection box 44. Still further, a water level sensor is disposed on the inner wall of thesecond cavity 54 at the top, and an alarm is disposed on thecleaning robot 100. The alarm is electrically connected with the water level sensor. When thesecond cavity 54 is full of sewage, the water level sensor senses the water level and sends a signal to the alarm. The alarm sounds or flashes according to the signal to alert the user to empty thesecond cavity 54. - Referring to
