Dabei wird die Beleimungsvorrichtung bevorzugt in einer Filteransetzmaschine eingesetzt, in welcher vorgefertigte Filter an vorgefertigte Tabakstöcke angesetzt werden und mittels eines Umhüllungsstreifens an diesem fixiert werden, wobei der Umhüllungsstreifen in diesem Fall auch als Belagpapierstreifen bezeichnet wird. Zur Verwirklichung einer qualitativ hochwertigen Verbindung und zur Verwirklichung verschiedener Funktionen ist es erforderlich, dass der Leim in einem definierten Auftragsbild in einer vorbestimmten Verteilung aufgetragen wird. Dabei müssen bestimmte Abschnitte des Umhüllungsstreifens bewusst frei von Leim sein, während andere Abschnitte bewusst mit einer vorbestimmten Leimmenge versehen werden müssen. So ist es z.B. erforderlich, dass bestimmte Abschnitte des Umhüllungsstreifens, welche zur Verwirklichung einer bewusst herbeizuführenden Durchströmung mit einer Perforation versehen sind, auf keinen Fall mit Leim zugesetzt werden dürfen, da die Durchströmung ansonsten verhindert wird. Außerdem müssen die Umhüllungsstreifen bzw. In der Leimzuführung zu der Auftragsdüse sind mehrere in die Austrittskanäle mündende Strömungskanäle vorgesehen, wobei die Leimzuführung durch die Strömungskanäle über Ventile unabhängig voneinander verschließbar ist.
