Bekannt ist es, Verbinderelemente dort vorzusehen, wo der jeweilige Pfosten, der meist als Hohlprofil ausgebildet ist, mit seiner Stirnseite auf die Bodenschwelle aufgesetzt werden soll. Die Unterseite des Verbinderelements ist an die Profilierung auf der Oberseite des Bodenschwellenprofils angepasst. Dadurch kann der Pfosten einfach durch einen rechtwinkligen Schnitt hergestellt und auf eine glatte Oberfläche aufgesetzt werden, so dass eine aufwändige Profilierung der Stirnseite der Pfosten zur Anpassung an das jeweilige Bodenschwellenprofil nicht erforderlich ist.
