Definitions
- the present invention relates to a carrying harness with a pectoral attachment.
- pectoral attachment is understood to mean a device of the carrying harness making it possible to connect on the chest two pectoral straps integral with the carrying straps of the harness, so as to prevent the straps from sliding towards the arms of the wearer.
- the invention finds applications in the field of carrying electric tools powered by a battery.
- the harness of the invention can be designed to carry an accumulator battery on the back and, on the side, an electric tool connected to the battery.
- the harness can also be used for carrying heat engine tools, or even non-motorized tools.
- Carrying harnesses like many backpacks, are equipped with carrying straps passing over the wearer's shoulders, and possibly with a carrying belt to transfer part of the load carried to the wearer's hips.
- the harness can be provided with various adjustment straps.
- adjustment straps can be provided between the carrying straps so as to adjust a distance between the carrying straps on the chest.
- Such a strap is attached to each carrying strap. When carrying the straps are interconnected and extend horizontally over the wearer's chest.
- the chest straps generally have a pectoral attachment making it possible to make them integral with one another when carrying, or, on the contrary, to release them from one another for the installation or removal of the harness.
- the pectoral straps and the pectoral fastener which connects them to fix at least one carrying strap thereon.
- the carrying strap makes it possible to transfer part of the weight of the tool to be carried on the chest clip, and, through the chest clip, on the front part of the shoulder straps extending over the wearer's torso. Another part of the weight of the tool can be transferred to the belt or to the wearer's back by a strap connected to a dorsal part of the harness.
- Such a harness dedicated to carrying a brush cutter, is known from the document US 8,925,774 .
- This harness does not however allow the adjustment of a distance between the carrying straps, the latter being fixed directly and only by the pectoral attachment.
- the various carrying or shoulder straps are fixedly linked to the pectoral attachment.
- dynamic forces transmitted by a carrying strap are liable to generate twists of the various straps.
- the chest clip does not allow you to add an additional carrying strap.
- the document EP 0 650 677 discloses a carrying device.
- Good carrying comfort requires an adequacy of the carrying harness with the morphology of the wearer but also requires taking into account the nature of the load carried and its arrangement in relation to the body of the wearer.
- An adjustment of the harness suitable for carrying a certain type of tool may be inappropriate for carrying a different type of tool.
- the present invention aims to provide a carrying harness that can be used for carrying on the back of at least one battery, for carrying at least one tool, or for the combined carrying of at least one tool and at least one battery.
- Another object of the invention is to provide such a harness with a pectoral attachment that can automatically adapt to different carrying configurations, with or without a transfer of part of the load carried on the pectoral straps.
- Yet another object is to provide a harness making it possible to automatically distribute on the carrying straps a load transferred to the pectoral straps.
- the invention provides more precisely a carrying harness as defined by claim 1.
- first and second parts are non-pivoting, when they are deprived of a freedom of pivoting, with respect to one another, when they are fixed to one another.
- each tool carrying strap can be configured to be removably connected to the chest clip, so that it can be removed when no tool is worn.
- the harness of the invention can thus be used in several configurations. It can be provided with a dorsal support plate for at least one accumulator battery and be used to carry only the battery or batteries for the power supply of a tool. This is particularly the case when using a small-size power tool, carried by hand, for example a secateurs, a hedge trimmer or a chainsaw.
- the harness can also be used to carry at least one accumulator battery and at least one tool. This is the case when using larger power tools, such as a brush cutter, soil tillage implement or blower, for example.
- the carrying of these tools can be associated, if necessary, with the carrying of additional tools such as a secateurs, a chainsaw or any other tool necessary for the user for a combined work.
- the harness can be used to carry at least one tool on its own, without a battery. This is the case, for example, when carrying a tool provided with a heat engine, such as a brush cutter, for example.
- the harness may include several tool carrying straps and in particular two tool carrying straps connected to the chest clip.
- the carrying straps can be provided for carrying a tool or a load on the front.
- the pectoral straps may preferably be of the same length, so that the pectoral attachment is situated substantially in the middle of the chest. It is however possible to envisage giving them different lengths so as to shift the pectoral attachment in the direction of one or the other of the straps for a different distribution of the load on the straps.
- the first and the second part of the attachment respectively form a first loop and a second loop. They thus make it possible to attach the straps directly to the chest clip.
- An important characteristic of the invention is the freedom of pivoting of the link of the pectoral straps, and, where appropriate, of that of the tool carrying strap, with the pectoral attachment.
- the pectoral straps do not twist or twist when the pectoral attachment pivots or moves in response to dynamic forces which may be applied to it in particular by means of the tool carrying strap.
- the straps pivot with respect to the pectoral attachment takes place in the attachment plane, around one or more pivot axes. When the harness is worn, the attachment plane is substantially parallel to the wearer's chest.
- the freedom of pivoting means that the chest straps and the tool carrying strap can form varying angles between them, so that each strap can automatically orient itself in the direction of the forces it transmits.
- the chest straps when no tool carrying strap is connected to the chest clip, or when no load is supported by the tool carrying strap, the chest straps may occupy a position substantially horizontal when the harness is worn. They are then substantially perpendicular to the carrying straps. They only support the forces necessary to avoid a separation of the carrying straps, and form an angle between them close to 180 degrees of angle.
- the carrier strap and chest straps rotate to automatically occupy a substantially Y-shaped relative position. position, the relative angles between the different straps depend essentially on the size of the load. This results, where appropriate, in a balanced transfer of the weight carried on the two shoulders of the wearer.
- the straps when two tool carrying straps are connected to the chest clip, for carrying a load on either side of a wearer, the straps automatically pivot to occupy a relative position substantially in X.
- the pectoral attachment comprises a first part and a second part, removable from one another, and respectively connected to the pectoral straps.
- the first and the second part can be fixed to each other, by means of a lock with complementary shape, or be detached by releasing the lock. This feature makes it possible in particular to detach them to facilitate the installation or the removal of the harness.
- the straps connected to the pectoral attachment can pivot on the attachment, and in particular on the first and second part of the attachment, depending on the loads supported.
- each loop may respectively comprise a junction edge to the other loop, and a connection edge opposite the junction edge.
- each buckle is connected to a chest strap by its connecting edge.
- the tool carrying strap can also be connected to one of the loops of the pectoral attachment, and in particular to its connecting edge.
- the pectoral attachment may include at least one third loop for the tool carrying strap.
- the tool carrying strap is connected to the third loop of the chest clip.
- the third buckle can be pivotally mounted on at least one of the first part and the second part of the chest clip.
- the harness may include a first attachment, a second attachment and a third attachment for straps, connected respectively to the chest straps and to the tool carrying strap, the first, second and third attachments for straps being mounted pivoting on a mounting plate pectoral.
- the plate can be formed by the first part, the second part or by the two parts of the pectoral attachment.
- the pivoting mounting of the bindings on a pectoral attachment plate can take place on one or more pivots and along one or more pivot axes.
- the pivot axes are mutually parallel, since they are perpendicular to the attachment plane.
- the attachment plane corresponds, in this case, to that of the pectoral attachment plate.
- the strap attachments can be removably connected to the pins of the chest attachment plate.
- the fixing of the straps can take place by means of two fixed and non-pivoting buckles. This is the case when the first and second part of the chest clip form loops.
- the connecting edge of each loop may have the shape of an arc of a circle.
- the two connecting edges of the two loops, in an arc of a circle, can preferably be centered on the same axis. It is then a matter of a pivot axis common to the chest straps and to the tool carrying strap.
- buckles in the form of a circular arc makes it possible to achieve the function of pivoting the straps simply by sliding the straps along the arched buckles.
- the buckles have a useful strap attachment length greater than a width of the chest straps and the tool carrying strap, so as to provide a sliding stroke. sufficient straps and ensure their pivoting in the direction of the forces.
- the loops can be double loops provided respectively with an attachment bar separating two slits of the loop.
- each strap attached to the buckle goes through the two slots, and surrounding the tie bar.
- the attachment bar can be profiled, in a known manner, to prevent unintentional detachment of the straps and to maintain their tightening.
- the pectoral attachment may include a release member which can be actuated with one hand to separate the first part and the second part of the pectoral attachment and release the junction of the pectoral straps. This measure allows the harness to be removed very quickly in the event of an incident or in the event of an accident to the wearer.
- the harness may further include a tool holder, the tool holder being connected to the harness by the tool carrying strap.
- the tool holder may further be connected to one of a harness lumbar belt, a harness sling, and a harness back plate. It allows a tool such as a brush cutter, a blower or a plowing tool, for example, to be attached to the harness.
- top and bottom are understood to be relative to the vertical and relative to a usual carrying of the harness on the back of a wearer.
- the figure 1 shows a harness 10 according to the invention. It is shown flat. It includes a back plate 12 for carrying an accumulator battery, not shown. The back plate is connected to a lumbar belt 14 and to carrying straps 16a, 16b.
- the carrying straps 16a, 16b extend from the back plate 12 to the lumbar belt 14 passing over the shoulders of the wearer. More precisely, the ends 15a, 15b of a strap of suspenders in connection with the lumbar belt 14 are respectively connected to the ends 17a, 17b of the carrying straps 16a, 16b.
- the ends 17a, 17b of the carrying straps 16a, 16b are provided with fixing loops receiving the ends 15a, 15b of the shoulder strap strap.
- they are provided with chest straps 18a, 18b which extend over the torso of the wearer to meet in a pectoral clip 20.
- the chest clip 20 is shown here in a diagram. detached configuration.
- FIG 3A shows the chest clip in the strapped position.
- the chest straps are attached to the shoulder straps by means of shoulder straps 19a, 19b.
- the chest straps extend substantially perpendicular to the shoulder straps.
- the suspender attachments 19a, 19b may be provided to allow pivoting of the chest straps and a modification of the angle they form with the shoulder straps.
- the chest clip 20 has two parts 20a, 20b provided with a central lock 24, 28.
- the lock allows the two parts 20a, 20b to be attached to one another along a junction edge 30a, 30b, so as to achieve a junction of the pectoral straps.
- the chest clip 20 is made, for example, of plastic or metal.
- one of the parts 20a of the attachment has a central cylindrical button 24 mounted on a flexible blade 26.
- the central button is housed in a central cylindrical housing 28 corresponding to the other part 20b of the pectoral attachment when the two parts 20a, 20b are approached so as to bring their respective junction edges 30a, 30b into contact.
- the junction edges 30a, 30b extend substantially vertically when the harness is worn.
- the central button 24 constitutes with the central housing 28 a lock.
- the central button also constitutes a member for releasing the lock which can be operated with one hand. Indeed, pressing a finger on the central button 24 allows it to be retracted from the central housing 28 by bending the flexible blade 26. This retraction of the central button then allows the separation of the two parts 20a, 20b of the pectoral attachment 20. .
- Each part 20a, 20b of the pectoral attachment 20 has a connecting edge 32a, 32b, opposite the joining edge 30a, 30b, and extending respectively from an upper part of the joining edge 30a, 30b towards a lower part of the junction edge 30a, 30b.
- Each part 20a, 20b, and in particular its connecting edge 32a, 32b, constitutes a loop 34a, 34b for the connection of straps.
- the connection edges 32a, 32b, and therefore the loops 34a, 34b have the shape of an arc of a circle centered in the middle of the central button 24 or of the central housing 28.
- Each loop 34a, 34b also has an attachment bar 36a, 36b, also in an arc of a circle, which separates two slits of the loop.
- each buckle 34a, 34b constitutes a strap attachment.
- the harness of the figure 1 also includes a tool carrying strap 38 to which a symbolically indicated tool holder 40 can be attached. Like the chest straps 18a, 18b, the tool carrying strap 38 is attached to the chest clip. In the example of figure 1 , the tool carrying strap 38 is connected to the buckle 34a of one of the parts 20a of the chest clip 20. It should be noted that another end of the tool carrying strap 38, not shown, may be connected to the lumbar belt 14 or to the back plate 12.
- the buckles 34a, 34b have a useful strap attachment length much greater than the width of the straps and even the cumulative width of the chest straps and the tool carrying strap.
- the various straps can thus slide along the buckles 34a, 34b, in an arc of a circle.
- the pivoting can take place around a single pivot axis, perpendicular to the attachment plane and passing through the center of the central button 24, or of the central housing 28. These two axes coincide when the two parts 20a, 20b of the pectoral attachment 20 are attached to each other. Indeed, the curvature of the loops 34a, 34b is also centered on this axis.
- the angle A between the chest straps 18a, 18b is close to 180 degrees of angle as shown in the figure 3A .
- the angle A becomes less than 180 degrees of angle by pivoting the straps around of the pivot axis. This configuration is shown on the figures 3B and 3C .
- the figure 3B shows an example of use of the pectoral attachment 20 with two tool straps 38a, 38b in a configuration of the straps substantially in X.
- the figure 3C shows another possibility of making the pectoral attachment 20 and another possibility of fixing the straps to it.
- the pectoral attachment 20 is in the form of a plate in two parts 20a, 20b, capable of being locked to one another by means of a lock 24, 28, comparable to that of figures 1 and 2 .
- the pectoral attachment plate has three pivots 44a, 44b and 44c arranged along three pivot axes parallel to each other and perpendicular to the attachment plane, that is to say here perpendicular to the pectoral attachment plate and perpendicular to the plane of the figure 3C .
- the first pivot 44a is integral with one of the parts 20a of the pectoral attachment, while the second and third pivot 44b, 44c are integral with the other part 20b of the pectoral attachment 20.
- Two strap fasteners 46a, 46b respectively secured to the pectoral straps 18a, 18b are mounted to pivot respectively on the first pivot and on the second pivot 44a, 44b.
- a third strap attachment in the form of a third loop 46c, is pivotally mounted on the third pivot 44c.
- the third loop is provided for the removable attachment of the tool carrying strap 38.
- first and second fixing 46a and 46b can also be in the form of loops for fixing the pectoral straps.
- two of the bindings 46a, 46b, 46c, or even all three can be pivotally mounted on the same pivot of the pectoral attachment.
- a third strap attachment in the form of a third loop 46c, is pivotally mounted on the third pivot 44c.

Description
The present invention relates to a carrying harness with a pectoral attachment.
The term “pectoral attachment” is understood to mean a device of the carrying harness making it possible to connect on the chest two pectoral straps integral with the carrying straps of the harness, so as to prevent the straps from sliding towards the arms of the wearer.
The invention finds applications in the field of carrying electric tools powered by a battery. In particular, the harness of the invention can be designed to carry an accumulator battery on the back and, on the side, an electric tool connected to the battery. The harness can also be used for carrying heat engine tools, or even non-motorized tools.
Carrying harnesses, like many backpacks, are equipped with carrying straps passing over the wearer's shoulders, and possibly with a carrying belt to transfer part of the load carried to the wearer's hips.
Carrying comfort is improved by the perfect adjustment of the harness to the wearer's morphology. Thus the harness can be provided with various adjustment straps.
In particular, adjustment straps can be provided between the carrying straps so as to adjust a distance between the carrying straps on the chest. These are the chest straps. Such a strap is attached to each carrying strap. When carrying the straps are interconnected and extend horizontally over the wearer's chest.
The chest straps generally have a pectoral attachment making it possible to make them integral with one another when carrying, or, on the contrary, to release them from one another for the installation or removal of the harness.
In the particular case of tool carrying harnesses, it is known to take advantage of the pectoral straps, and the pectoral fastener which connects them to fix at least one carrying strap thereon. The carrying strap makes it possible to transfer part of the weight of the tool to be carried on the chest clip, and, through the chest clip, on the front part of the shoulder straps extending over the wearer's torso. Another part of the weight of the tool can be transferred to the belt or to the wearer's back by a strap connected to a dorsal part of the harness.
Good carrying comfort requires an adequacy of the carrying harness with the morphology of the wearer but also requires taking into account the nature of the load carried and its arrangement in relation to the body of the wearer.
A difficulty exists in the case of a carrying harness for multiple use, that is to say intended for carrying different types of tools and equipment.
An adjustment of the harness suitable for carrying a certain type of tool may be inappropriate for carrying a different type of tool.
The present invention aims to provide a carrying harness that can be used for carrying on the back of at least one battery, for carrying at least one tool, or for the combined carrying of at least one tool and at least one battery.
Another object of the invention is to provide such a harness with a pectoral attachment that can automatically adapt to different carrying configurations, with or without a transfer of part of the load carried on the pectoral straps.
Yet another object is to provide a harness making it possible to automatically distribute on the carrying straps a load transferred to the pectoral straps.
To achieve these goals, the invention provides more precisely a carrying harness as defined by claim 1.
It is considered that the first and second parts are non-pivoting, when they are deprived of a freedom of pivoting, with respect to one another, when they are fixed to one another.
Preferably, each tool carrying strap can be configured to be removably connected to the chest clip, so that it can be removed when no tool is worn.
The harness of the invention can thus be used in several configurations.
It can be provided with a dorsal support plate for at least one accumulator battery and be used to carry only the battery or batteries for the power supply of a tool. This is particularly the case when using a small-size power tool, carried by hand, for example a secateurs, a hedge trimmer or a chainsaw.
The harness can also be used to carry at least one accumulator battery and at least one tool. This is the case when using larger power tools, such as a brush cutter, soil tillage implement or blower, for example. The carrying of these tools can be associated, if necessary, with the carrying of additional tools such as a secateurs, a chainsaw or any other tool necessary for the user for a combined work. Finally, the harness can be used to carry at least one tool on its own, without a battery. This is the case, for example, when carrying a tool provided with a heat engine, such as a brush cutter, for example.
In the remainder of the description, and unless otherwise specified, reference is made to only one tool carrying strap for carrying a tool on the side of the carrier. It is understood, however, that the harness may include several tool carrying straps and in particular two tool carrying straps connected to the chest clip. Likewise, the carrying straps can be provided for carrying a tool or a load on the front.
It may also be noted that the pectoral straps may preferably be of the same length, so that the pectoral attachment is situated substantially in the middle of the chest. It is however possible to envisage giving them different lengths so as to shift the pectoral attachment in the direction of one or the other of the straps for a different distribution of the load on the straps.
According to a preferred embodiment of the pectoral attachment, the first and the second part of the attachment, respectively form a first loop and a second loop. They thus make it possible to attach the straps directly to the chest clip.
An important characteristic of the invention is the freedom of pivoting of the link of the pectoral straps, and, where appropriate, of that of the tool carrying strap, with the pectoral attachment. Thus, the pectoral straps do not twist or twist when the pectoral attachment pivots or moves in response to dynamic forces which may be applied to it in particular by means of the tool carrying strap.
The straps pivot with respect to the pectoral attachment takes place in the attachment plane, around one or more pivot axes. When the harness is worn, the attachment plane is substantially parallel to the wearer's chest.
The freedom of pivoting means that the chest straps and the tool carrying strap can form varying angles between them, so that each strap can automatically orient itself in the direction of the forces it transmits.
By way of illustration, when no tool carrying strap is connected to the chest clip, or when no load is supported by the tool carrying strap, the chest straps may occupy a position substantially horizontal when the harness is worn. They are then substantially perpendicular to the carrying straps. They only support the forces necessary to avoid a separation of the carrying straps, and form an angle between them close to 180 degrees of angle.
When a tool carrying strap is connected to the chest clip and the chest clip carries a load on one side of the wearer, the carrier strap and chest straps rotate to automatically occupy a substantially Y-shaped relative position. position, the relative angles between the different straps depend essentially on the size of the load.
This results, where appropriate, in a balanced transfer of the weight carried on the two shoulders of the wearer.
As mentioned above, the pectoral attachment comprises a first part and a second part, removable from one another, and respectively connected to the pectoral straps. The first and the second part can be fixed to each other, by means of a lock with complementary shape, or be detached by releasing the lock. This feature makes it possible in particular to detach them to facilitate the installation or the removal of the harness. When the first part and the second part are attached to each other, they do not rotate relative to each other. On the other hand, the straps connected to the pectoral attachment can pivot on the attachment, and in particular on the first and second part of the attachment, depending on the loads supported.
When the first and the second part of the pectoral attachment form loops for attaching straps, each loop may respectively comprise a junction edge to the other loop, and a connection edge opposite the junction edge. In this case, each buckle is connected to a chest strap by its connecting edge.
The tool carrying strap can also be connected to one of the loops of the pectoral attachment, and in particular to its connecting edge.
According to yet another possibility, the pectoral attachment may include at least one third loop for the tool carrying strap. In this case, the tool carrying strap is connected to the third loop of the chest clip.
The third buckle can be pivotally mounted on at least one of the first part and the second part of the chest clip.
Still more generally, the harness may include a first attachment, a second attachment and a third attachment for straps, connected respectively to the chest straps and to the tool carrying strap, the first, second and third attachments for straps being mounted pivoting on a mounting plate pectoral. The plate can be formed by the first part, the second part or by the two parts of the pectoral attachment.
The pivoting mounting of the bindings on a pectoral attachment plate can take place on one or more pivots and along one or more pivot axes. In the case of several pivots, the pivot axes are mutually parallel, since they are perpendicular to the attachment plane. The attachment plane corresponds, in this case, to that of the pectoral attachment plate. The strap attachments can be removably connected to the pins of the chest attachment plate.
According to a simple and preferred embodiment of the invention, the fixing of the straps can take place by means of two fixed and non-pivoting buckles. This is the case when the first and second part of the chest clip form loops. In this case, the connecting edge of each loop may have the shape of an arc of a circle.
The two connecting edges of the two loops, in an arc of a circle, can preferably be centered on the same axis. It is then a matter of a pivot axis common to the chest straps and to the tool carrying strap.
The use of buckles in the form of a circular arc makes it possible to achieve the function of pivoting the straps simply by sliding the straps along the arched buckles.
In this case, the buckles have a useful strap attachment length greater than a width of the chest straps and the tool carrying strap, so as to provide a sliding stroke. sufficient straps and ensure their pivoting in the direction of the forces.
Preferably, the loops can be double loops provided respectively with an attachment bar separating two slits of the loop. In this case, each strap attached to the buckle goes through the two slots, and surrounding the tie bar. The attachment bar can be profiled, in a known manner, to prevent unintentional detachment of the straps and to maintain their tightening.
According to a particular embodiment of the harness, the pectoral attachment may include a release member which can be actuated with one hand to separate the first part and the second part of the pectoral attachment and release the junction of the pectoral straps. This measure allows the harness to be removed very quickly in the event of an incident or in the event of an accident to the wearer.
The harness may further include a tool holder, the tool holder being connected to the harness by the tool carrying strap.
The tool holder may further be connected to one of a harness lumbar belt, a harness sling, and a harness back plate. It allows a tool such as a brush cutter, a blower or a plowing tool, for example, to be attached to the harness.
