Description
The invention is an access barrier comprising at least one anchoring element and at least one locking element which is connected to the anchoring element.
Public squares and event grounds have become increasingly the target of terrorist attacks in recent years. In some cases, vehicles were deliberately controlled in groups of people on markets or on fixed premises. In order to prevent such attacks, access barriers are used to restrain a vehicle and to protect pedestrians in public places, especially at public events, e.g. Christmas markets, fairs, folk festivals or sporting events. So far, mainly concrete blocks have been used, which are placed at the beginning of the event on the access roads and then dismantled or permanently anchored. If the access is blocked by concrete blocks, there is no easy way to open the access for emergency vehicles or delivery traffic.
Initial studies also show that concrete blocks may not provide adequate protection because heavy trucks can easily push the block away. There is therefore a need for access barriers that can not be pushed as easily as concrete blocks.
The object of the present invention is to provide an access barrier for protection against unauthorized approaching vehicles, which circumvents the aforementioned disadvantages and in particular enables effective stopping of the vehicle, but at the same time allows the access of pedestrians to the event site.

The access barrier according to the invention offers effective protection against unauthorized vehicles, e.g. in case of a terrorist attack. The vehicle, a truck or delivery truck, drives against the blocking element. As a result, the blocking element begins to tilt downwards towards the ground. Since the locking element and the spring iron are connected to each other, at the same time raises the catch and moves in the direction of the underbody of the vehicle. Once a certain inclination of the locking element is reached, the catch drilled into the underbody of the vehicle. With a suitable length of the catcher this drills directly into the engine block.
If the access barrier according to the invention is formed as a mobile access barrier, it also has the advantage that the weight of the vehicle is on the anchoring element and thus this additionally weighted and secured against displacement. When the blocking element is moved backwards in this case, the catching iron rotates in the hinge and lifts off from the ground, the end of the catching iron, preferably a point, which is arranged on the end remote from the blocking element of the catching iron, out of the anchoring element lifts up. Since the locking element and the trailing arm are connected to each other, the rotation in the rotary joint causes the lower end of the trailing arm drills into the ground and thus leads to a fixation of the access barrier in addition to the weight of the anchoring element and the vehicle.
If the access barrier according to the invention is designed as a mobile access barrier, in one embodiment several access barriers can be connected to one another, so as to form a row. It then creates a series of locking elements, pedestrians can pass between the locking elements on the ramp elements of the anchoring elements and thus reach the venue. One or more of the locking elements may be releasably connected to the catcher. If an emergency vehicle or delivery traffic to drive to the event site, the locking of the locking element can be opened so that the locking element can be removed or folded so that access to the site is possible.
The mobile access barrier according to the invention can optionally additionally have devices for slings. This facilitates transport by crane or forklift.
The access barrier according to the invention provides an effective means of restraining a vehicle for the protection of pedestrians in public places, especially at public events, e.g. Christmas markets, fairs, folk festivals or sporting events dar.
