Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a floor grinder with dust seal rings.
  • Such floor grinders are available for processing floors, such as in the DE 20 2013 010 625 U1 described for use.
  • Such floor grinders generally have a holding plate for an abrasive, a drive device to set the holding plate in motion, a suction opening for sucking off the dust that is produced, and a dust sealing ring.
  • JP H10 277938 A discloses a floor grinder according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Vacuum cleaners are used, which are intended to suck off the resulting dust immediately after it is created.
  • a significant amount of dust can escape from the environment of a floor grinder before it can be picked up by the vacuum cleaner.
  • the object of the present invention is to reduce the pollution of the environment caused by the dust produced during processing with a floor grinding device.
  • the floor grinder comprises a housing, which has an interior space that is open on one side, a holding plate rotatably mounted in the interior space for receiving an abrasive, and a drive device, which is designed to set the holding plate in rotation, the housing an inner dust sealing ring with at least one recess, at least one suction opening, which is arranged in the outer section, and an outer dust sealing ring, which encloses the interior, the inner dust sealing ring dividing the interior into an inner section and an outer section, the retaining plate in the inner portion, and the inner dust seal ring and the outer dust seal ring are arranged such that they define a common working plane parallel to the plane of rotation of the support plate.
  • the idea on which the present invention is based is to guide the dust produced during the processing of the floor through a recess in the inner dust sealing ring to the suction opening.
  • the outer dust seal ring prevents the escape of dust passed through the recess as well as dust escaping elsewhere through the inner dust seal ring.
  • the resulting dust can be sucked off particularly effectively since it is either conducted directly to the suction opening or can be held in the outer section of the interior long enough until it is caught by the suction opening.
  • the floor grinder can also include a suction device which is in operative connection with the at least one suction opening.
  • a suction device which is in operative connection with the at least one suction opening.
  • a plurality of suction openings can be provided, with each suction opening being connected to the suction device via a separate hose.
  • hoses that are as simple as possible can be used, which are therefore also particularly easy to manufacture, assemble and maintain.
  • the housing can have a flattened disc shape. This allows the floor grinder to reach areas of the floor that are otherwise difficult to access, such as under radiators attached to a wall.
  • the holding plate can be movably mounted in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation. This ensures that the attached abrasive lies on the surface to be processed, regardless of its thickness.
  • the holding plate can be designed to accommodate a plurality of grinding means in an annular arrangement. In this way, the entire surface to be processed is covered and individual abrasives can be replaced without great effort if necessary.
  • the drive device can be designed in the form of an electric motor.
  • Electric motors are mainly for use advantageous in closed rooms because, in contrast to internal combustion engines, they cause significantly less noise and exhaust emissions.
  • the floor grinder can also include a battery, which is connected to the drive device. This means that the floor grinder can also be used in places where there is no electrical connection.
  • the floor grinding device can have the same number of recesses and suction openings.
  • each suction opening can be assigned to a recess. As a result, the dust generated during processing is guided particularly effectively to the respective suction opening.
  • the inner dust sealing ring can have two recesses and the housing can have two suction openings, with the recesses and the suction openings assigned to them being arranged on opposite sides of the inner section.
  • This configuration represents a particularly advantageous compromise between the smallest possible number of suction openings and the maximum possible suction of the dust produced.
  • the inner dust sealing ring and the outer dust sealing ring can have brushes. This ensures that the dust produced cannot escape through the dust sealing rings, even when working on uneven floors.
  • the at least one recess can be designed as a recess in the inner dust sealing ring. This is a particularly simple way of realizing the recess.
  • At least one of the suction openings can be opened towards the interior at an angle of 45° in relation to the working plane. This makes it easier to suck off the dust that is produced, as this is subjected to a horizontal speed by the rotating processing of the floor.
  • the floor grinder can also comprise at least two rollers, which are arranged offset to the working plane. This allows the floor grinder to be easily transported from one place of use to the next.
  • FIG. 1 shows a schematic bottom view of a floor grinder 100.
  • a disk-shaped housing 110 defines an interior space visible from this perspective.
  • the housing 110 includes a circular inner dust seal ring 111 which encloses the retaining plate 120 and divides the interior space into an inner section and an outer section.
  • the inner dust sealing ring 111 further comprises a recess 113 in the form of a recess of the inner dust sealing ring 111.
  • In the outer section there is a circular suction opening 114 which is arranged adjacent to the recess 113 and is associated with it.
  • the interior is completely enclosed by an outer dust sealing ring 112 of the housing.
  • both the grinding means or means fastened to the holding plate 120 and the inner dust sealing ring 111 and the outer dust sealing ring 112 are in contact with the surface to be machined.
  • the abrasive removes soil material, which is thrown away from the abrasive as dust.
  • the inner dust sealing ring 111 advantageously prevents the escape of at least a large part of the dust and directs it through the recess 113 from the inner section to the outer section. In the outer section, the dust is sucked off by the negative pressure applied to the suction opening 114 .
  • the outer dust sealing ring 112 prevents the dust from leaving the outer section and thus the interior. Also, the rest of the dust escaping through the inner dust seal ring 111 at locations other than the recess 113 is held in the outer portion by the outer dust seal ring 112 until it is advantageously sucked out through the suction opening 114 .
  • the housing 110 can be made from a variety of materials, such as plastic, metal, or a combination of both. have plastics usually a low weight, which can be advantageous for the transport of the floor grinding device 100, but for the use of the floor grinding device 100 a high weight can also be desired in order to ensure sufficient contact pressure of the abrasive on the floor surface to be processed.
  • the housing 110 can therefore also be designed to be weighed down by means of additional weights. Such weights can be removed for transporting the floor grinder 100 and only reattached shortly before the floor grinder 100 is put into operation. Forming the housing 110 from metal can also serve to prevent static charging of the dust caused by friction, which could possibly lead to a dust explosion.
  • the suction device, to which the suctioned dust is transported is designed with metallic components.
  • the holding plate 120 is designed to accommodate a disk-shaped abrasive.
  • This abrasive can be attached in any way, for example by means of plug-in or Velcro connections. It can also be provided to attach more than one grinding means. These multiple abrasives are then advantageously arranged such that when rotated, they abrade the entire floor surface located beneath the support plate 120 .
  • the grinding means can be, for example, grinding paper or diamond grinding elements.
  • the manner in which the inner dust seal ring 111 and the outer dust seal ring 112 are formed is not explicitly shown.
  • the inner dust sealing ring 111 and the outer dust sealing ring 112 are designed as brush rings, which can ensure a seal against dust even on uneven floors. It is also conceivable to form the inner dust sealing ring 111 and/or the outer dust sealing ring 112 in the form of a rubber ring or the like. Rubber rings are extremely robust and therefore have a long service life. They are also easy to replace.
  • the recess 113 and the suction opening 114 are arranged adjacent to each other. This is particularly advantageous since the dust guided through the recess 113 is directly caught by the suction opening 114 .
  • FIG. 12 shows a schematic side view of the floor grinder 100.
  • FIG 1 From this view, the housing 110, the suction opening 114 and the outer dust sealing ring 112 are visible.
  • the housing 110 has a flattened disc shape.
  • the suction opening 114 has an angle of 45° to the working plane of the floor grinding device, for example.
  • the suction opening 114 is aligned in such a way that the dust, which is also subjected to a rotational speed due to the rotation of the holding plate, is sucked off.
  • other angles are also conceivable.
  • FIG 3 shows a schematic profile view of a second embodiment of a floor grinder 100.
  • the embodiment shown here differs from that in FIG 1 shown in that two recesses 113 and two suction openings 114a, 114b are provided. Each of the two suction openings 114a, 114b is assigned to one of the recesses 113.
  • the recesses 113 and the associated suction openings 114a, 114b are exemplary located on opposite sides of the inner section.
  • the arrangement shown here is particularly advantageous, but other arrangements and orientations are also possible within the scope of the present invention.
  • the dust produced during processing of the floor surface can advantageously be guided through the recesses 113 on both sides of the holding plate 120 and then sucked off directly at the respective suction openings 114a, 114b.
  • the interior can therefore be effectively covered by the suction effect of the two suction openings 114a, 114b.
  • FIG. 12 shows a schematic side view of the floor grinder 100.
  • FIG 3 The housing 110, the two suction openings 114a, 114b and the outer dust sealing ring 112 are visible from this view.
  • one of the two suction openings 114a has an angle of 45° to the working plane of the floor grinding device 100.
  • This suction opening 114a is aligned in such a way that the dust, which is also subjected to a rotational speed due to the rotation of the holding plate, is sucked off.
  • the other suction opening 114b is oriented perpendicularly to the working plane of the floor grinding device 100 . This orientation provides an advantageous compromise between maximizing dust extraction and directing a hose attached to extraction port 114b in a direction toward an extraction device.
  • FIG 5 shows a schematic oblique view of a floor grinder 100 according to a third embodiment.
  • the housing 110 On top of the housing 110 there is a drive device 130 which with the not visible retaining plate 120 is connected. Two rollers 140 are also attached to the housing.
  • the drive device 130 shown here is designed in the form of an electric motor with an integrated rechargeable battery.
  • the battery is in figure 5 not visible.
  • This configuration is particularly advantageous since an electric motor represents a particularly user-friendly configuration, since an electric motor operates with comparatively little noise and produces no exhaust gases.
  • the rollers 140 are arranged on the side of the floor grinding device 100 facing the user and are offset relative to the working plane of the floor grinding device 100 .
  • the floor grinder 100 is tilted forward and the abrasive, the inner dust seal ring 111 and the outer dust seal ring 112 rest on the floor surface to be machined.
  • the floor grinder can be tilted backwards so that only the rollers 140 touch the floor, and the floor grinder 100 can be carried easily.
  • a third roller may be provided at the front of the floor grinder 100.
  • This third role is pivoted and height-adjustable.
  • the third roller can be fixed upwards, which enables the application-relevant components of the floor grinding device 100 to be placed on the floor.
  • the third roller can also be adjusted during operation in such a way that, together with the two rear rollers, it absorbs part of the weight of the floor grinder. In this way, a uniform abrasion effect can be ensured over the treated floor area.
  • the third roller can be fixed further down in such a way that only the two rear rollers 140 and the third roller touch the floor. There is no need to tilt the floor grinder 100 and the third roller increases the steerability of the floor grinder 100 due to its pivotability.
  • the floor grinder 100 shown here also has a handle for guiding the floor grinder 100. Control elements for operating the drive device 130 are also attached to this handle.
  • the two suction openings 114 are connected to an external suction device (not shown) via a forked hose. It is also conceivable that a suction device is provided directly on the floor grinding device 100 . In this case, it would be advantageous to connect each of the two suction openings 114 to such an internal suction device via a separate hose.
