Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a finger protection device for a wing door.
  • the gap between the secondary closing edge of the hinged door leaf on the opposite hinge side and the door frame is covered with a textile protective roller blind, which is attached to the door frame on the one hand and to the hinged door leaf on the other.
  • Such finger protection devices with roller blinds show, for example GB 2 164 690 , DE 20 2008 016 094 U such as DE 37 16 654 . It has already been recognized in the prior art that it is desirable that the finger protection roller blind can be released quickly at least on one side. This can be helpful, for example, if a door has to be removed. The loosening and hanging of the roller blind, however, takes time and especially the hanging is time-consuming for people who have little practice in this regard. It is sometimes difficult for them to reattach the roller blind without drapery.
  • U.S. 3,137,042 A discloses a swing door with upper and lower hinges.
  • a stiff profile rail surrounds the face of the shorter leg of the swing door leaf. This profile rail has openings through which guide rollers pass. The guide rollers are attached to the door frame.
  • the finger protection device according to the invention for a wing door has a protective cover for covering a gap between a door frame and a pivotable door wing.
  • the protective cover has a rear side which, when the finger protection device is used as intended, faces the door leaf and the door frame.
  • the finger protection device has a window which allows access to the rear of the protective cover.
  • the window forms an opening or a recess in the protective cover.
  • the window is designed to be lockable, so that it normally does not offer any access, but has to be opened first.
  • the window is preferably provided with a child safety device so that small children in particular cannot open the window.
  • This child safety device is, for example, a corresponding snap or latching mechanism, as is known, for example, for can lids or bottle closures. In other embodiments it is formed by one or more screws.
  • the finger protection device Thanks to the finger protection device according to the invention, access to a specific area behind the protective cover can be created in a simple manner without the remaining protective cover having to be detached.
  • pivotable door leaves which form part of a sliding door or sliding gate arrangement.
  • the pivoting door leaf be fixed inside the sliding gate, for example by lowering a locking bolt by hand, the window in the protective cover can be opened, the bolt lowered and the window closed again.
  • Simple wing doors which are held pivotably in a stationary door frame, can also be provided with such a finger protection device with a window.
  • the reason for this is, for example, that simple and quick access to a people counter, to a sensor of a security or access system or to another type of sensor should be made possible.
  • the finger protection device according to the invention is thus not limited to sliding door or sliding gate arrangements, but it can also be used in other constructions which have pivotable wing doors.
  • the window can allow access to the door frame or the door leaf or to both at the same time.
  • door frame denotes stationary door frames and stationary walls, which are designed as door frames, and also sliding doors, sliding gates, folding walls and sliding walls in which pivoting door leaves are embedded. It also includes other similar components.
  • the protective cover has a partial area which forms a window sash, thanks to which the window can be opened and closed again.
  • the window sash is movably arranged. Depending on the embodiment, it is, for example, displaceable or pivotable.
  • the window arrangement in the finger protection device can be designed simply and inexpensively and just as easily opened and closed if the window can be opened by means of a flap and can be closed by means of this.
  • the finger protection device preferably has a front side which is opposite the rear side, the window sash being able to be opened from this front side.
  • the window sash In the closed state of the window, the window sash preferably forms part of this front side.
  • the surface of the window sash is preferably aligned with this front side or at least does not protrude significantly from it.
  • the window sash is preferably part of the protective cover, and in preferred embodiments it is formed from the same material as the rest of the protective cover.
  • the protective cover is preferably a flat web with a first web end for attachment to the door frame and with a second web end for attachment to the door leaf.
  • the window can be located in the protective cover at any point selected by the manufacturer and adapted to the intended use. In preferred embodiments, however, the window extends to the first or second track end, the window sash having a free sash end which can be fastened to the door frame or the door sash and is designed accordingly, the free sash end being independent of the associated first or second track end of the track on Can be fastened to the door frame or to the door leaf.
  • the finger protection device preferably has a first fastening strip to be attached on the door frame side or on the door leaf side, and the free wing end is preferably provided with a second fastening strip which can be releasably connected to the first fastening strip in a form-fitting and / or force-fitting manner.
  • the window sash can be loosened and reattached independently of the protective cover and nevertheless, when the window is closed, it forms a unit with the rest of the protective cover and thus does not impair the visual appearance of the entire finger protection device.
  • the first fastening strip is preferably part of a first fastening means which is designed to fasten the web over its entire length, which is vertical when used as intended, on the door leaf or door frame. This also enables a uniform image of the finger protection device despite the window.
  • the protective cover can be shaped as desired.
  • the flat webs known in the prior art can be used, such as roller blinds, textile covers or covers made of rigid or semi-rigid plastic materials, which are planar, curved, scale-shaped or designed as bellows.
  • the finger protection device has a self-winding roller blind, the roller blind comprising a housing for fastening the roller blind to the door frame or door leaf and the flat sheet which can be wound up in the housing, and the finger protection device comprising a first fastening means for fastening the roller blind to the door leaf or on the door frame to tension the web between the housing and the first fastener.
  • roller blinds have proven themselves in the prior art. They are easy to assemble and disassemble.
  • the web in particular the roller blind web, preferably has an end strip at its free web end, which is held in a second fastening means, wherein the second fastening means can be connected to the first fastening means in a form-fitting and / or force-fitting manner in order to create the path between the housing and the first tightening fasteners. This facilitates the assembly and disassembly of the entire device.
  • the first fastening strip has the same cross section as the first fastening means and the second fastening strip has the same cross section as the remaining part of the second fastening means. This optimizes the appearance.
  • the second fastening means is a suspension unit which can be suspended in the first fastening means in order to tension the web.
  • the second fastening means is preferably a hook-shaped curved hanging strip which extends in its length over approximately the entire width of the web.

In preferred embodiments, the free end is additionally or alternatively connected to a metal or plastic strip. This end strip 11 is held in a hanging strip 3 which is designed in the shape of a hook.
  • the housing 2 of the roller blind is preferably attached to the door frame R. In the ones shown here Figures 3 to 6 however, it is attached to the door leaf.
  • a fastening strip 4 is screwed onto the counterpart of the door, here on the door frame R, as the first fastening means.
  • the hanging bar 3 forms a second fastening means which can be hung in the first fastening means. This is in the Figures 3 and 4 good to see. Thanks to the restoring force of the roller blind, the web 1 is tensioned in any position of the door leaf F in the suspended state. It covers the gap between the door frame R and door leaf F. The sheet 1 thus protects against accidents on the side opposite the strip B, for example it prevents hands or fingers from getting caught in the gap.
  • the housing 2 has a base body 20 in which the shaft 10 and the wound web 1 are held.
  • the base plate of the base body 20, with which the housing 2 rests on the door leaf F, preferably extends into a projection 21.
