Definitions

  • the invention relates to a protective cover for a table saw, which has a drive motor and a saw blade which can be driven by the drive motor, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a protective cover is for example in DE 10 2006 055 018 B3 explained.
  • Another protective cover is known, for example, in the Festool table saw type CS50, in the manner of a cover hood and extraction hood.
  • the protective cover covers the upper apex of the saw blade.
  • the protective cover usually protrudes in front of the saw blade in the working direction so that the operator is protected against injuries. Areas of the saw blade remain free, however, so that it is free to cut into the workpiece or at least partially free.
  • a protective cover is provided in accordance with the technical teaching of claim 1.
  • the protective cover has one or more adjusting protective bodies, that is to say an adjusting protective body arrangement.
  • the adjusting protective bodies can be adjusted relative to the upper side protective device and / or the workpiece contact surface, so that they cover the penetration area of the saw blade to a greater extent in a covering position than in a release position. In the cover position parts of the penetration area can be completely or substantially covered. In the cover position, these penetration areas are free-standing so that the saw blade can saw freely into the workpiece.
  • the adjustment device can include, for example, sliding bearings, pivot bearings or both.
  • a gear can be provided between the drive motor and the saw blade.
  • the table saw preferably has a saw unit on which the saw blade and preferably the drive motor is arranged.
  • the saw unit can preferably be moved in a stationary or linear manner with respect to the workpiece contact surface in the working direction.
  • the table saw is expediently a so-called pull saw.
  • the saw blade in particular a saw unit carrying the saw blade of the table circular saw, is expediently pivotable with respect to the workpiece contact surface about a pivot axis running parallel to the working direction.
  • the saw blade preferably projects in a central position or normal position at right angles in front of the workpiece contact surface.
  • a flat side of the saw blade and the workpiece contact surface are preferably at a right angle to one another in a central position or normal position.
  • top protection device and / or the at least one adjustment protection body extend from the cutting section of the saw blade to a section of the saw blade opposite the cutting section in the working direction.
  • the upper side protection device and / or the at least one adjustment protective body advantageously extend from a region of the saw blade that is at the front in the working direction to a rear area in the working direction.
  • the top protection device and / or the at least one adjustment protection body preferably have an elongated shape.
  • the upper side protection device can have a rod-shaped and / or rod-like and / or fork-shaped configuration.
  • the upper side protection device can therefore have a rod body, a rod body or a fork body or be formed thereby.

  • the at least one adjustment protective body is preferably adjustable in the covering position to a position that covers a flat side of the saw blade at least close to the cutting section, preferably essentially completely.
  • At least one adjustment device or the at least one adjustment device is arranged between the top protection device and the at least one adjustment protection body, so that the adjustment protection body is adjustably mounted on the top protection device. If, for example, the top protective device is removed from the table saw, the adjustment protective body arrangement is also removed from the saw in this way. Even if the upper side protective device is in turn adjustable, in particular pivotable, mounted relative to the saw blade or the workpiece contact surface, the adjusting protective body arrangement also makes this movement.
  • the top protection device is connected to a saw unit driving the saw blade or is arranged on a saw unit which is adjustable relative to the workpiece contact surface, for example in an inclined bearing and / or along a longitudinal axis.
  • the adjusting support body arrangement arranged on the top side protective device then moves, so to speak, simultaneously with the saw unit.
  • the upper side protection device it is possible for the upper side protection device to be stationary and not adjustable with respect to the saw blade. It is also possible, however, that the upper side protection device is adjustable relative to the saw blade and that the adjusting support body arrangement arranged thereon, so to speak, takes part in the adjustment of the upper side protection device.
  • Another measure can be that the at least one adjusting device is arranged between the holding device and the adjusting protective body and the adjusting protective body is mounted so as to be adjustable with respect to the holding device.
  • This arrangement makes it possible, in particular, for the adjustment protective body to be movably mounted independently of the upper side protective device.
  • several adjustment protective bodies can be provided, one of which can be adjusted on the upper side protective device using an adjusting device is mounted, while another adjusting protective body is arranged on the holding device and is adjustably mounted with respect to the holding device by means of an adjusting device arranged on the holding device.
