Abstract

Description

Clothes drying rack, folding

The invention relates to the general field of folding laundry clotheslines.

It more particularly relates to a clothes rack, folding, of the type that can be in one of two extreme states - folded clean storage and deployed clean to its use, having a median plane and having a support frame of laundry having a main plane, and a crutch frame having a main plane. In known manner, the support frame is mounted with a hinge about a direction orthogonal to the median plane on a support means; the kickstand frame is mounted with a hinge about the same direction on the support means; the two joints of the support frame and the stand frame are distant from each other; the stand frame and the support frame are arranged so that, in the deployed state, they cooperate with mechanical fastening in an area of the stand frame and in a region of the support frame the one and the other spaced apart from their respective articulation to the support means, so that the crutch frame maintains the support frame in position.

Also known, the support frame and the crutch frame each have an outer contour of generally quadrangular shape with two longitudinal edges and two transverse edges. They comprise linen support threads stretched between their longitudinal edges. They are arranged relative to one another, in their zones where the support frame and the support frame cooperate with mechanical fastening, so that the inner face of the longitudinal edge of the support frame is adjacent to the outer face of the longitudinal edge. crutch frame.

Frequently, such a rack comprises two support frames and two stand frames arranged on either side of the support means, which is an integral part of the clothes rack and comprises two frames with a direct or indirect hinge to the other, so as to form in the deployed state a kind of trestle inverted V. Such a clothes rack, folding, is commonly called in France "Tancarville", by analogy with the shape of this bridge.

The document FR 1137981 describes an embodiment of such a drying rack in which:

each support frame and each corresponding stand frame are arranged so as to cooperate with permanent mechanical joining to pivoting,

each stand frame and each corresponding stand frame are arranged to cooperate with removable mechanical attachment by means of a fork arrangement,

the pulling element is arranged so as to cooperate with permanent mechanical attachment to pivot with one of the base frames and to cooperate with removable mechanical connection with the other frame base by means of a forked arrangement.

Another embodiment very commonly used has a reverse structure of the previous one, in that: each support frame and each corresponding stand frame are arranged so as to cooperate with removable mechanical attachment by means of a fork arrangement,

each frame stand and each corresponding frame frame are arranged to cooperate with permanent mechanical attachment pivoting. These two achievements have the disadvantage that the deployment and folding of the clothes rack are laborious because they require a sequence of long and complicated gestures from the user.

EP1 0440003 describes another embodiment of such a clothes rack in which:

each support frame and each corresponding stand frame are arranged so as to cooperate with permanent mechanical joining pivoting,

each stand frame and each corresponding frame frame are arranged so as to cooperate with permanent mechanical joining pivoting,

the pulling thunder element and each corresponding frame frame are arranged so as to cooperate with permanent mechanical joining pivoting,

each crutch frame and the pulling element are arranged in two articulated parts. This embodiment has the disadvantage that the joints of each crutch frame and the pulling element are complex and that their maneuver is long and complicated.

The invention therefore aims to solve the problems of clotheslines, folding, known. Hereinafter, a description of the invention as characterized in the claims.

According to a first aspect, the subject of the invention is a clothes rack, folding, of the type that can be in one of two extreme states - folded clean for its storage and deployed clean for its use -, having a median plane P1 and having a laundry support frame having a main plane, and a crutch frame having a main plane, wherein:

the support frame is mounted with a hinge about a direction D1 orthogonal to the median plane P1 on a support means,

- The stand frame is mounted with a hinge around the direction D1 on the support means,

the two articulations of the support frame and the support frame are distant from one another,

- The stand frame and the support frame are arranged so that, in the deployed state, they cooperate with mechanical fastening in an area of the stand frame and in a region of the support frame both of them separated from their respective articulation by means of support, so that the crutch frame maintains the support frame in position. Such a clothes rack is such that, in the two deployed and folded states and in any intermediate state, the stand frame and the support frame cooperate by virtue of a permanent mechanical locking means with groove / notch / pin, comprising, on the one hand, an elongated groove having, laterally, a notch with bottom, divergent and localized, formed on the support frame, on the other hand, a nipple provided on the crutch frame. The groove / notch / pin means is arranged so that:

- The groove, which has a distal end portion and an end portion proximal to the hinge of the support frame, on the one hand extends in a general direction D2 generally orthogonal to D1, on the other hand is located in the envelope of the support frame,

the pin, of general direction D1, is mounted in the groove so as to be able to slide therein,

in the folded state, the nipple is located towards the distal end,

relative to the groove, the notch extends on the side of the support frame where the kickstand frame is located and is located towards the proximal end portion, in the deployed state, the stud is housed and blocked unidirectionally in the notch,

- during the deployment of the clothes rack, the nipple, slides in the groove in the direction from the distal end portion to the proximal end portion and penetrates by gravity into the notch, so as to be housed and lock unidirectionally on the bottom of it,

- When folding the rack, the nipple, slides in the groove in the direction from the proximal end portion to the distal end portion and exceeds the notch, without penetrating,

- The sliding stroke of the pin in the groove corresponds to the pivoting stroke of the support frame and the stand frame between the folded state and the deployed state.

According to one embodiment, the groove comprises either a single notch or two notches corresponding to two deployed states or a number n of notches, the number n being greater than two corresponding to n deployed states, such that, when it comprises a plurality of notches, the plurality of deployed states are differentiated by the angular position of the support frame relative to its articulation, by the angle between the support frame and the stand frame, and finally by the angle of inclination of the support frame. on the horizontal, the angle between the support frame and the stand frame is larger for a distal notch and, conversely, smaller for a proximal notch.

According to one embodiment:

According to one embodiment, the drying rack comprises two groove / notch / pin means on the two longitudinal edges of the support frame and on the two longitudinal edges of the stand frame.

FIG. 1 is an elevational view of a particular embodiment of a laundry drying rack according to the invention, in the folded state, which particular embodiment being such that the support means is an integral part of the clothes rack and comprises two frame frames with a hinge, and arranged on either side, two support frames and two crutch frames provided with support members, hooking or suspension of laundry, which folded state being such that the frame frames are folded down against each other, as well as support frames and crutch frames,

Figure 2 is a side view of the clothes rack according to Figure 1, in the folded state, illustrating that in this state, the clothes rack is part of an outer casing of generally parallelepipedal shape of small thickness.

The clothes rack 1, folding around D1 direction axes, is of the type that can be in one of two extreme states, namely a folded state suitable for storage and an expanded state suitable for its use. The transition from the folded state to the deployed state is obtained by a deployment maneuver while the transition from the deployed state to the folded state is obtained by a folding maneuver.

In the simplest embodiment, the clothes rack 1 has a single expanded state. In a particular embodiment more specifically described, the clothes rack 1 has two deployed states, which allows more flexibility in the drying of laundry. In other embodiments, the clothes rack 1 has n deployed states, the number n being larger than two.

The clothes rack 1 has a first median plane P1, which in this case is a first plane of symmetry between a front side and a rear side (if one refers for example to Figure 3). The drying rack 1 comprises a laundry support frame 2 and a crutch frame 3 each having a set rigidity.

The support frame 2 and the crutch frame 3 each fit between two parallel envelope planes, little spaced apart from each other and which define the thickness of the corresponding frame, which may be of the order of a few centimeters, by example of the order of 3cm for the support frame 2, the crutch frame 3 can be less thick, for example of the order of less than one centimeter.

Thus, the support frame 2 has a main plane Q and the stand frame 3 has a main plane R (Figure 3).

The support frame 2 has an outer contour of generally quadrangular shape with two longitudinal edges 4 and two transverse edges 5 (Figures 3, 4A, 4B, 4C and 5). Where appropriate, the support frame 2 is associated with one or more extension frames, also a laundry support, mounted on the support frame 2 in an articulated manner to be folded or deployed or slidably to be retracted or protruding.

The crutch frame 3 has an outer contour of generally quadrangular shape with two longitudinal edges 6 and two transverse edges 7 (Figures 3, 4A, 4B, 4C and 5).

The transverse edges 5 and 7 of the support frame 2 and support frame 3 extend parallel to the direction D1.

The longitudinal edges 4 of the support frame 2 extend parallel to a direction D2.

The direction D1 is located in the plane of Figure 1 and is perpendicular to the plane of Figures 2, 4A, 4B, 4C, 6, 7A, 7B, 8A, 8B, 8C, 9A and 9B.

The direction D2 is located in the plane of FIGS. 1, 2, 4A, 4B, 4C, 6, 7A, 7B, 8A, 8B, 8C, 9A and 9B.

The directions D1 and D2 are orthogonal. With respect to the first median plane P1, the direction D1 is orthogonal and the direction D2 is parallel.

The support frame 2 is mounted by one of its transverse edges 5, described as "proximal", with a hinge 8 (with axial pivoting), about the direction D1, on a support means 9.

The direction D1 can be described as pivoting direction, insofar as those elements of the clothes rack 1 which are arranged so as to be pivotable, do it around an axis parallel to D1.

The direction D2 may be described as an extension direction in that it is in this direction that the drying rack 1 extends laterally, and more particularly the support frame 2. In a similar manner, the stand frame 3 is mounted by the one of its transverse edges 7, also referred to as "proximal", with a hinge (axially pivoted) about the direction D1 on the support means 9.

The two hinges 8, 10, respectively of the support frame 2 and the stand frame 3, are parallel to each other and distant from each other.

In a particular embodiment, the support frame 2 comprises, located on one side of its main plane Q, adapted bodies 11, support, attachment or suspension of laundry - such as son or a sheet - attached to their edges 4, 5 or at some of their edges, in particular at two opposite edges, such as the two longitudinal edges 4.

Similarly, where appropriate, the frame 3 includes such support members 11 hooking or suspension of cloth attached to their edges 6, 7, or at some of their edges, including two opposite edges, such as two longitudinal edges 6.

In a particular embodiment (FIG. 3), the members 11 are a plurality of wires or rods having an overall rigidity, arranged spaced apart from one another, parallel to each other and to the direction D 1, fixed rigidly at their ends, as previously indicated, in particular on one side of the main plane Q for the support frame 2. With such an embodiment, the transverse edges 5 and 7 of the support frame 2 and the stand frame 3 can be formed by the members 11 in the form of wires or rods which are on the transverse edges of the frames 2, 3, respectively.

The edges 4 of the support frame 2 are termed "longitudinal" insofar as they are the longest. The other edges 5 of the support frame 2 are therefore called "transverse" and are the shortest. For example, the longitudinal edges 4 may have a length of the order of one meter and the transverse edges a length of the order of 60 cm to 70 cm.

As regards the crutch frame 3, the same "longitudinal" and "transverse" terminology may be adopted for the edges having a layout similar to those of the support frame 2, even if the longitudinal edges 6 are not longer than the transverse edges 7. For example, the longitudinal edges 6 may have a length of the order of 50 cm and the transverse edges 4 a length of the order of 60 cm to 70 cm.

Thus, the support frame 2 and the crutch frame 3 have in this case neighboring widths, the lengths of their transverse edges 5, 7 being close, as will be specified later.

However, it is understood that the edges 5 could be the ones that have the greatest length and the edges 4 the smallest length.

As a result, the terms "longitudinal", "longitudinal", "transverse" and "transverse" are not limiting.

More generally, the given dimensions and angle values are only exemplary and therefore in no way limiting.

The term "proximal" must be understood as meaning close to or closest to the support means 9, and more particularly, respectively, of the hinge 8 as regards the support frame 2 and the hinge 10 as regards the 3. The term "distal" must be understood as meaning distant or furthest from the support means 9, and more particularly, respectively, from the hinge 8 as regards the support frame 2 and the hinge 10 with regard to the stand frame 3. In a particular embodiment and in a first aspect, the support means 9 is an integral part of the clothes rack 1 and it comprises two base frames 9a, 9b, each having an overall rigidity, with a direct or indirect hinge 12 (axial pivoting) to each other around the direction D1.

In a particular embodiment and in a second aspect, the clothes rack 1 comprises two support frames 2 and two stand frames 3 arranged symmetrically on either side of the support means 9.

In a particular embodiment combining the two aspects, the clothes rack 1 comprises two support frames 2 and two stand frames 3 arranged symmetrically on either side of the support means 9 formed of the two base frames 9a, 9b, it being specified that the two sets 2 + 3 (comprising a support frame 2 and the associated stand frame 3) are independent in movement from one another, one set being in the folded state and the other in the deployed state. Thus, in this particular embodiment, the clothes rack 1 has a second median plane P2, orthogonal to the first median plane P1, and which, in this case is a second plane of symmetry between a right side and a left side (if the 3), if at least the user wants to give the two sets 2 + 3 the same arrangement with respect to the support means 9, which is however not mandatory, since the two sets 2 + 3 are independent, as already indicated.

Such a clothes rack 1 is of the type commonly known in France as "Tancarville", by analogy with the shape of the bridge known by this name.

However, the invention is not limited to this embodiment. Thus, the clothes rack 1 may not have an integrated support means, the support means then being exogenous to the clothes rack 1. Similarly, the clothes rack 1 may have only one support frame 2 and one only crutch frame 3. In this case, it does not have a second median plane of symmetry.

The remainder of the description is made with reference to the particular embodiment where the support means 9 forming an integral part of the clothes rack 1 comprises two sets 2 + 3 (each comprising a support frame 2 and the associated stand frame 3).

Each base frame 9a, 9b is inscribed between two parallel envelope planes, little spaced apart from each other and which define the thickness of the corresponding frame, which may be of the order of less than a centimeter to a few centimeters and has an outer contour of generally quadrangular shape with two longitudinal edges 13 and two transverse edges 14. Each base frame 9a, 9b, has, like the support frames 2 and the frame or frames 3, a plane principal S.

The plane S is located in the plane of FIG. 1. It is perpendicular to the plane of FIGS. 2, 4A, 4B and 4C.

Reference being made to the particular embodiment previously defined (support means 9 forming an integral part of the clothes rack 1 with two base frames 9a, 9b and two sets 2 + 3), when in the remainder of the description there is reference "of the support frame 2 "or" of the stand frame 3 ", it is necessary to understand" each of the two support frames 2 "or" each of the two stand frames 3 ", respectively. In the particular embodiment, the clothes rack 1 may further comprise a pulling element 15 (or spacer) mounted between the two base frames 9a, 9b, so as to prevent their inadvertent spacing in the deployed state. In one possible embodiment (FIGS. 3, 4A, 4B and 4C), the pulling element 15 is in two rigid parts 16, with articulation 17 around the direction D1, and removable locking in a substantially coplanar position. These two pulling element portions 16 are mounted, respectively, on the two base frames 9a, 9b with articulation 18 around the direction D1.

In another possible embodiment, the pulling element 15 is in a single rigid part, with a hinge around the direction D1 with one of the base frames 9a and a removable mechanical fastening means such as a hook, with the other of the frame frames 9b. Where appropriate, the pulling member 15 may comprise support members, hanging or hanging laundry.

If necessary, the clothes rack 1 may also include other support members, attachment or suspension of laundry, such as a deformable sheet disposed between the two base frames 9a, 9b.

In the particular embodiment and in the normal use, when the clothes rack 1 is in the deployed state or in one of its deployed states when there are several possible (FIGS. 3, 4C, 5, 7A, 7B ), the support means 9 rests on a surface such as the ground, by the two lower transverse edges 14a of the two base frames 9a, 9b.
