Definitions

  • the invention relates to a toilet flush according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the invention can be used to discharge the flushing water contained in a tank to drag away the materials deposited in a sanitary bowl or a urinal.
  • the patent publication FR 2 936 000 A1 shows a washing device for a toilet bowl in which a rotatable container is emptied by rotating it by means of a knob disposed frontally.
  • the patent publication WO 99/20851 shows a flushing system with two tanks each of which is movable between a filling position and a discharge position.
  • One object of the invention is to provide a toilet flush usable for flushing a water closet.
  • One advantage is to allow a convenient maneuver, easy and functional to perform the discharge of the flushing liquid.
  • One advantage is to provide a toilet flush that is simple and practical to use and of rapid and immediate installation.
  • One advantage is to make available a flushing system that can be easily adapted to mount on already existing plants.
  • One advantage is to avoid leakage of water to which existing toilet flushes are normally subjected.
  • One advantage is to give rise to a toilet flush able to operate effectively despite having relatively compact size.
  • One advantage is to avoid that rotatable coupling surfaces are wet by flushing water.
  • One advantage is to provide a flushing system for sanitary vessels that is constructionally simple and economical.
  • a toilet flush for sanitary bowls comprises a tank and a reservoir that is at least in part contained in the tank and is rotatable with the possibility to assume at least one filling position, in which it is filled with flushing liquid, and at least one discharge position, in which at least a part of the flushing liquid is poured into the tank and then discharged through a bottom outlet;
  • the toilet flush includes support means that removably rests on the tank and that is arranged to cover at least partly the tank, in which said support means comprises inferiorly, on two opposite sides, two supporting portions that rotatably support two reservoir portions arranged on two opposite sides of the reservoir.
  • the toilet flush 1 may comprise, in particular, a (fixed) tank 2 which in turn may comprise at least one upper opening 3.
  • the tank 2 may comprise at least one lower outlet 4 for discharging (by gravity) a flushing liquid (water).
  • the discharge outlet 4 is connected (in known manner) with the sanitary bowl (known and not illustrated).
  • the toilet flush 1 may comprise, in particular, a (movable) reservoir 5 arranged at least partly inside the tank 2.
  • the reservoir 5 may have, in particular, the ability to perform at least one rotation between at least one filling position (for example as in figure 1 ), in which the reservoir 5 can be filled with flushing liquid, and at least one discharge position (for example as in figure 3 ), in which at least a part of the flushing liquid can be poured out of the reservoir 5 and discharged through the outlet 4.
  • the toilet flush 1 may comprise, in particular, a feeding device 6 of the flushing liquid to fill the reservoir 5 placed in a filling position.
  • the feeding device 6 may include, as in this case, a float valve (of known type). With W a level of the flushing liquid (water) contained in the reservoir 5 has been indicated.
  • the toilet flush 1 may comprise, in particular, support means 7 arranged at least partially above the tank 2.
  • the support means 7 may be supported in a removable manner on the tank 2.
  • the support means 7 comprises a cover removably supported on an upper edge of the opening 3 of the tank 2.
  • the support means 7 may include a side passage through which a portion of the feeding device 6 can pass.
  • the feeding device 6 may be supported, at least in part, by the tank 2. It is however possible that the feeding device 6 is supported, at least in part, by the support means 7.
  • the support means 7 may comprise, in particular, two support portions 8 arranged on two opposite sides of the support means 7.
  • the reservoir 5 may comprise two reservoir portions 9 arranged on two opposite sides of the reservoir 5.
  • the two reservoir portions 9 may be rotatably supported by the two support portions 8.
  • the two support portions 8 may comprise, as in the examples illustrated here, two seats for pin.
  • the two reservoir portions 9 may comprise, as in these examples, two rotation pins rotatably accommodated in the two seats for pin.
  • the support means 7 may comprise, as in these examples, at least one cover portion 10 that mates at least in part with an edge of the upper opening 3 of the tank 2.
  • the two support portions 8 may protrude (downwardly) from the cover portion 10.
  • the cover portion 10 may be shaped to close at least partially the upper opening 3 of the tank 2.
  • the two support portions 8 may be housed, as in this example, within two seats 11 formed in the tank 2.
  • the two seats 11 may be formed in two opposed walls, one front and one rear, of the tank 2.
  • the two support portions 8 may be insertable and extractable from the said two seats 11 by means of (vertical) movements of insertion downwards and extraction upwards.
  • Each of the two support portions 8 may have a rounded shape, for example semicircular.
  • Each of the two seats 11 may have a rounded shape, for example semicircular, conjugated with the rounded shape of the two support portions 8.
  • the toilet flush 1 may comprise, in particular, a handle 12 arranged on the reservoir 5 for maneuvering its rotation.
  • the handle 12 may be placed, for example, at a higher level with respect to the tank 2.
  • the handle 12 may be laterally projecting from a wall of the reservoir 5. This wall of the reservoir may be arranged facing internally to a wall of the support means 7.
  • the handle 12 may pass, in particular, through a through opening 13 formed on said wall of the support means 7 to allow a user the access to the handle 12.
  • This opening 13 in the support means may have, as in this example, an arcuate shape to allow a movement of the handle 12 inside the opening 13 when the reservoir 5 is rotated between the filling and discharge positions.
  • the opening 13 may perform the function of guiding the handle 12.
  • the opening 13 may have, as in this case, two ends which define two limit stops of the handle 12, so as to stop the rotation of the reservoir 5 in one direction (up to the discharge position) and in the opposite direction (up to the filling position).
  • the filling position is a stable position that the reservoir 5 may assume in normal conditions without user's actions and to which it tends to return spontaneously by gravity at the end of the discharge.
  • the opening 13, within which the handle 12 slides, has an arched shape with an angular amplitude less than the opening 13 of the example of Figure 7 .
  • the opening 13 is shaped in such a manner that the handle 12 performs a rise motion in the discharge phase of reservoir 5 and a descending motion in the phase of return of the emptied tank.
  • the opening 13 is shaped in such a manner that the handle 12 performs a motion first upward and then downward both during the discharge phase of the reservoir 5 and during the return phase.
  • the handle 12 may be arranged, for example, to a higher level with respect to the two reservoir portions 9 and/or to the two support portions 8, in particular in all the positions that the reservoir 5 assumes when it rotates between said filling and discharge positions.
  • the handle 12 may be arranged in a manner to be raised, that is, to increase its elevation, when the reservoir 5 is emptied, i.e. when the reservoir 5 is rotated in the direction that goes from the filling position to the discharge position. This is done for the entire stroke of the handle 12 in the example of Figure 1 , for a part of the stroke in the example of Figure 7 .
  • the handle 12 is conformed and arranged in such a way as to allow a progressive and easily adjustable rotation of the reservoir 5.
  • the handle 12 allows a gradual and continuous rotation, substantially free of jerky or sudden accelerations and without excessive effort.
  • the tank 5 can then be easily emptied in a gradual manner without losing control at any position of the reservoir 5 during its rotation.
  • it is possible to dose with total progression and control the desired amount of water to be discharged.
  • the reservoir 5 may comprise, as in these examples, a bottom portion 14 of semi-cylindrical shape.
  • the tank 2 may comprise, as in these examples, a bottom portion 15 of semi-cylindrical shape.
  • the bottom portion 14 of the reservoir 5 may be coaxial with the bottom portion 15 of the tank 2.
  • the two bottom portions 14 and 15 may be arranged at a short mutual distance, for example a distance of less than 1 cm or less than 2 cm.
  • the toilet flush 1 may be easily adapted to an already existing device, for example using a tank 2 already installed (external tank or built-in tank) and connected to a sanitary bowl.
  • a tank 2 already installed external tank or built-in tank
  • the axis of rotation of the reservoir 5 may be, as in these examples, transverse (orthogonal or almost orthogonal) to the front wall of the tank 2, i.e. the wall facing towards the user.
  • the two support portions 8 may be coupled, as in these examples, one to the front wall (fore) of the tank 2, the other to the rear wall (back) of the same tank, opposite to the front wall.
  • the handle 12 may be placed in correspondence of the front wall of the tank 2.
  • the elements of the toilet flush are shaped and arranged in such a way that the rotating coupling surfaces (the support portions 8 and the reservoir portions 9) are always dry, in any configuration, i.e. they are not wet by flushing water, both the water contained in the reservoir 5 in the static phase, both the water poured out of the reservoir 5 in the discharge phase.
