- PPS Primary Synchronization Signal

- IoT Internet-of-Things
- 3GPP Third Generation Partnership Project
- NB-IoT Narrow-Band IoT
- NCP Normal Cyclic Prefix

- Synchronization signal is designed special for NB-IoT system, which is different from that for normal LTE system.
- ZHI YAN ET AL "A Novel Initial Cell Search Scheme in TD-LTE",VEHICULAR TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE (VTC SPRING), 2011 IEEE 73RD, IEEE, 15 May 2011 considers symbol level correlation of PSS/ SSS symbols, followed by combination of multiple occurences of PSS/SSS of multiple frames. It also discloses CP length determination at the receiver using two hypotheses. It is in the normal LTE context (not NB-IOT).
- ZTE "NB-PSS and NB-SSS design for NB-IoT",3GPP DRAFT; R1-160049; 11 January 2016 , is in the same context as in the application NB-IOT with PSS/ SSS sequences spanning over multiple symbols, and with different CP length configuration possible. It also proposes explicitly two hypothesis detection for normal and extended CP.
