Description

    OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
  • The object of the present patent application is to register a device according to claim 1 for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism which incorporates notable innovations and advantages over the techniques used hitherto.
  • More specifically, the invention proposes the development of a device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism, which given its arrangement allows for the adjustment of the height of the element, which connects the outer push button for evacuating water from the cistern to the flushing mechanism, and it has the purpose of providing elements for the assembly and adjustment thereof that are as intuitive and effective as possible.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Several devices that partially resolve the problem for which reason the proposed invention is designed are known in the current state of the art. This invention relates to the correct assembly and positioning of the cistern flushing mechanism, and more specifically, the arrangement and adjustment of the height of the element responsible for connecting the outer push button that activates the flushing mechanism to the same.
  • The solutions known in the state of the art do not prevent additional problems in the assembly operations of the cistern flushing mechanisms, because, since they are movable mechanisms, when the operator intends to adjust the height of said elongated part so that it correctly connects the push button to the flushing mechanism, the latter can move vertically downwards due to the action of the weight of the lid of the cistern that incorporates said push button element, such that the adjustment operations are quite inconvenient and complicated since they have to continuously handle the cistern lid and periodically adjust the height of said elongated part since it does not temporary stop the movement of the flushing mechanism which enables the aforementioned mechanism to be adjusted in an entirely simple and intuitive manner.
  • The present invention helps to solve the present problem, since it enables the height of the elongated part, which connects the push button element, attached to the lid of the cistern, to the unloading mechanism itself, to be' adjusted.
  • It is also known from the state of the art, according to the document DE3854071T2 , a mechanism which comprises a float carrying the seal of the valve moving in a housing supplied with water via the cistern, is distinguished in that the cylindrical float is formed, on the one hand, by an upper portion of large diameter, open at its top and not comprising any shoulder able to be located below the normal level of the water in the cistern (in the closed position of the valve) and by a lower portion or appendage of smaller diameter carrying the joint, and, on the other hand, is concentric with the said housing so that the annular space provided between its outer portion and the internal wall of the said housing is as small as possible.
  • It is also known from the state of the art, according to the document FR2660338A1 , a control mechanism relates to a flushing system equipped with a valve which moves vertically in a guide which is integral with the cistern. The movement of the valve is obtained by the action of a maneuvering member in the form of a push-button, by way of a remote-control system comprising a cable in a sheath. The control mechanism according to the invention makes it possible to cope with the dimensional tolerances between the cistern and its lid. It also makes it possible to position the push-button in any particularly appropriate spot, depending on the requirements.
  • It is also known from the state of the art, according to the document ES1053738U , a device for regulation and quick anchoring of pieces of variable length, especially mechanisms for actuating tank unloaders and positioning floats of the filling valves thereof, where there is a rod linearly displaceable by the hole of a support piece linked to the element that must block it in the correct position, characterized in that the support piece includes a bushing of axial passage of the rod, provided with a end portion threaded externally and with at least one diametral cut that produces grooves in its wall and starting from the end, where a locking nut is secured, said locking nut being further provided. It includes at its distal end, an internal annular thickening of trapezoidal section defining a conicity that in the tightening comes to connect with a conical chamfer of the bushing, adjacent to the threading.
  • It is also known from the state of the art, according to the document EP1995386A1 , a device has a push button housing inserted into an opening in a cistern lid. Push buttons are mounted in the push button housing. A pusher is moved downwards to trigger flushing by actuation of the push buttons. The push button housing is fastened to the cistern lid and is lifted from the push buttons and the pusher with the cistern lid. A guide part has an external thread for fastening the guide part to a drain valve. The push buttons, the pusher, the guide part and the push button housing form a single unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a drain fitting.
  • Also, it is known from prior art EP A 3 388 587 and ES 1 149 184 which disclose a device for regulating the height of a cistern flushing mechanism, wherein common features are included in preamble of claim 1.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention has been developed in order to provide a device according to claim 1 for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism, which is enabled to act on an elongated element ending in a disk-shaped part, which in turn is enabled to connect an outer push button to the cistern flushing mechanism that is inside the cistern itself, which is essentially indicated in that it comprises a first mechanism for adjusting the elongated element on the height thereof, and a second vertical mechanism for stopping the movement of the flushing mechanism.
  • According to the invention in the device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism, the first adjustment mechanism has a guillotine-like arrangement and horizontal movement.
  • Additionally, also according to the invention in the device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism, the second vertical stopping mechanism has a clip-like arrangement and is arranged on the base of the mouth of the flushing mechanism.
  • Furthermore, in the device according to the invention for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism, the first adjustment mechanism comprises a horizontal plate that can slide horizontally and has two rods that are also horizontal, parallel and protruding, and in turn have a notch on the lateral surface thereof.
  • Furthermore, in the device according to the invention for assembling connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism, the first adjustment mechanism further comprises four vertical pillar-like parts between which the elongated element is inserted axially, and said four parts are arranged between the two horizontal rods and are in contact with the respective notches thereof:
  • According to the invention in the device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism, the second vertical stopping mechanism incorporates an overhanging section that can be grasped.
  • With the present invention, the height of the elongated part, which connects the push button element, attached to the lid of the cistern, to the unloading mechanism itself, is successfully adjusted.
  • Other characteristics and advantages of the device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism will be evident from the description of a preferred, but not exclusive embodiment which is illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the drawings which are included, in which:
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
    • Figure 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a type of preferred embodiment of the device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism of the present invention.
    • Figure 2 shows a schematic and enlarged view of a type of preferred embodiment of the device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism of the present invention.
    • Figure 3 shows a schematic perspective view of some of the elements that have been separated of a type of preferred embodiment of the device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism of the present invention.
    DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • As shown schematically in Figures 1 and 2, the device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism 2 of the present invention is enabled to act on an elongated element 1 ending in a disk-shaped part 11, which in turn is enabled to connect an outer push button to the cistern flushing mechanism 2 that is inside the cistern itself, as is common and known in the state of the art.
  • According to the invention itself, the device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism comprises a first adjustment mechanism 3 of the elongated element 1 on the height thereof, and a second vertical mechanism for stopping 4 the movement of the flushing mechanism 2.
  • The first adjustment mechanism 3 has a guillotine-like arrangement and can move horizontally, and it comprises a horizontal plate 31 that can slide horizontally and has two rods 32 that are also horizontal and parallel and protrude from said plate 31.
  • The rods 32 in turn have a notch 33 on the lateral surface thereof, similar to an inner step, and which modifies its own lateral surface.
  • Figure 3 shows some of the aforementioned elements separately to thereby facilitate the understanding thereof.
  • Furthermore, the first adjustment mechanism further comprises four vertical pillar-like parts 34, between which the elongated element 1 is inserted axially.
  • Said four parts 34 are arranged between the two horizontal rods 32 and are in contact with the respective notches 33 thereof, as especially shown in Figure 2.
  • In the use of the device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism of the present invention, and when the user or installer already considers that the elongated element 1 has the desired height for adequate connection of the outer push button to the flushing mechanism 2 that is inside the cistern, the plate 31 is slid towards the elongated element 1 itself, as shown by the arrows in Figures 1 and 2.
  • As a result of said sliding, the rods 32 grip the parts 34 arranged therebetween by means of the contact notches 33. This implies that the parts 34 in turn grip and exert pressure on the elongated element 1 inserted axially therebetween, which thereby immobilizes it at a height previously adjusted and positioned by the user.
  • Furthermore, the device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism of the present invention comprises a second vertical mechanism 4 for stopping the movement of the flushing mechanism 2 of the cistern.
  • The vertical stopping mechanism 4 is arranged to prevent the flushing mechanism 2 from moving vertically and causing an inconvenience in the assembly thereof, since the height of the elongated element 1 could no longer be correctly adjusted, since the flushing mechanism 2 can move vertically due to the weight of the lid of the cistern, and therefore, hinder the assembly operation thereof.
  • Said vertical stopping mechanism 4 has a clip-like arrangement and operation, and it is arranged between the base of the mouth of the flushing mechanism 4 of the cistern.
  • In this preferred embodiment, the second vertical stopping mechanism 4 incorporates an overhanging section 41 that can be manually grasped by the user. Once the elongated element 1 is mounted and the position thereof at the predetermined height is ensured by gripping of the section 41, the removal thereof can be carried out, which leaves the actuation of the flushing mechanism 4 thereof to be free.
  • Therefore, with the removal of the clip-like section 41, the cistern flushing mechanism 2, which has been assembled by means of the improved device for assembling a cistern flushing mechanism of the present invention, is arranged for the use and service thereof.
  • The device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism of the present invention enables the height of the elongated element 1 that connects the push button 11, attached to the lid of the cistern, to the flushing mechanism 2 itself, to be effectively adjusted.
  • Furthermore, it has also been provided that due to the vertical stopping mechanism 4, the flushing mechanism 2 is temporarily stopped to prevent undesired movements thereof during said adjustment operations, which substantially hinder the effectiveness thereof, and provide very little accuracy and successive assembly operations, disassembly of the lid, readjustment of the height of the parts, etc.
  • The details, shapes, dimensions and other accessory elements, as well as the materials used to manufacture a device for connecting an outer push button with a cistern flushing mechanism of the invention, may be suitably substituted for others which are technically equivalent, and do not diverge from the essential nature of the invention, nor the scope defined by the claim below.
