Description

781 46 Actuator for flushing tank drain valve. -
Driving orders for the purpose of the account shall be paid.
The present invention relates to a drive device according to the type definition of claim 1.
Drives of this quality for flushing tanks are known. For the flush tank drain valve, a push button is provided on the lid which must be pressed to flush. In one such actuator, the drain valve does not close until all the water in the flush tank has drained out. The rinsing of the toilet bowl cannot be stopped arbitrarily, as it is not possible to manually pull the push-button back to its starting position. This is disadvantageous because a much smaller amount of rinsing water than the entire contents of the rinsing tank would normally be sufficient to rinse the toilet bowl.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an actuator of the type mentioned at the beginning, with which the drainage of rinsing water from the rinsing tank can be stopped arbitrarily when the entire amount of rinsing water is not required.
This object is solved by a drive device having the features of the characterizing part of claim 1. Other preferred embodiments appear from the subclaims.
An embodiment of the invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 shows a vertical section of the lid of a rinsing tank provided with a drive device according to the invention.
Fig. 2 shows a vertical section taken along the line II-II in Fig. 1.
Figure 3 shows a vertical section of the push button equipment.
2 78146
Mounted in the flushing tank 2 is a drain valve (not shown) known per se, which has an upwardly extending pipe 3. The valve is opened by vertically raising the pipe 3. A support rod 4 leads through this pipe 3 and is fixed at the lower end to the downcomer. A jog 5 attached to the upper end an of the support rod 4 and screwed into the threaded socket 6 of the pushbutton housing located in the lid 1 of the flushing tank 2. 14. In the longitudinal slot 13 of the sleeve 5, a two-arm lever 16 rotating about an axis 17 is mounted. The second arm 16a of the lever 16 is in the starting position below the pressure head 14, while at the end of the second arm 16c there is a hook 18 on which a rod 20 connected to the tube 3 is suspended by means of a handle 19.
The operation of the actuator is as follows: To flush the toilet, the pushbutton 10 is pressed. The lever 16 translates pivotal movement of painakepäätä 14 in the direction of the arrow 21 towards the end of the arm 16a, whereby the cam arm 16, 22, 14 painakepään prevent lateral sliding off. The pivoting movement of the lever 16 raises the pipe 3 and opens the drain valve. When practically all the water has run out of the flushing tank, the pipe 3 lowers, whereby the drain valve closes. At the same time, the button member 12 with its pushbuttons 10 returns to the initial state. In this case, the spring 23 assists in the return control of the pushbutton 10.
When it is desired that only a portion of the contents of the rinsing tank be drained, the rinsing step is interrupted as explained.
If the button head 14 is now pressed again against the load arm 16c to turn it back to the home position, the drain valve will close immediately. The cam 25 prevents the rotary button 78 146 3 14 sliding off the head in the direction of the arrow 26. In this way, the flow of rinsing water can be interrupted arbitrarily by pressing the push button 10.
When installing the drive, the support rod 4 and the drive rod 20 are inserted into the sleeve 5 or the bracket 19. The ends of both rods have annular or square concavities so that the rods can be easily cut to the correct length according to the respective depth of the rinsing tank.
The push button 10 shown in Figures 1 and 2 is particularly suitable for flushing tank lids 1 with a wider opening 28. For ceramic lids with a narrow opening 40, the push button accessories shown in Figure 3 are provided. In these, the push-button housing 41 consists of a wide, cup-shaped part 42, which is on the lid 1 of the rinsing tank and in which the push-button 43 is placed.
A small threaded seat 44 leads through the flush tank lid 1 and is threaded into the sleeve 45. The push rod 13 has an extension 46 which is guided into the threaded seat 44 of the pushbutton housing 43 and which is pressed or screwed into the nose 47 of the pushbutton 43.
