Description

Object of the invention

The present invention relates to a trimmer, in particular a non-vacuum beard trimmer having a clipping collector below the cutting mechanism in which the hair falls essentially by gravity during trimming.

State of the art

Hair or beard hair clippers are well known to those skilled in the art. To get rid of cut hair there are two main options to date. Either we simply drop the hairs where we shave, or we try to collect them by a suction system.

The suction systems can be external and connected by a hose to the mower or be integrated directly into the mower. In the latter case, a turbine built into the trimmer generally produces suction near the cutting head and diverts the cut hairs to a collection tank allowing the suction air to pass, which then allows part of the hairs to be collected. cut.

The document US621439 describes a pair of beard scissors (“ barbers'hair-clippers ” in the text) comprising a receptacle for the hairs.

The main disadvantage of this approach is that, for a suction system integrated into this type of mower, the volume, which must accommodate a particular configuration of arrangement of a turbine and a tank, is generally much larger. than that of an ordinary mower, which is not equipped with such a hair suction installation. For mowers that have a suction system outside the appliance which is generally connected to it by a flexible hose, the size of the mower is that of an ordinary mower but the presence of the hose that connects it to the Suction makes it inconvenient to handle, which is why this type of arrangement is rarely used.

To date there is, to our knowledge, no intermediate solution between the mower equipped with suction and a mower without any means of collecting hair. There is, however, an expectation for a device that, without have the hair collection possibilities of a suction trimmer, nevertheless collects some of the hairs when trimming a relatively short beard.

The document WO2015/123412 A1 discloses a trimmer having a handle and a hair collector connected to a suction. The hair collector has a slit maximizing the speed of air movement generated by the suction in the immediate vicinity of the slit. This configuration is unsuitable for operating without suction because the clogging of the suction slot would be rapid. Like all mowers operating with suction, the presence of a hair collection tank and of a turbine requires a size able to include these elements, which generates significant oversizes.

Aims of the invention

The present invention aims to overcome this disadvantage by disclosing a vacuum-free clipper with a hair collector which collects hair essentially by gravity and by trapping using a comb of a specific shape, the hair collector being close of the cutting system.

Detailed description of the invention

The present invention relates to a mower without suction comprising a hair collector capable of collecting a large proportion of hair when mowing a beard or a skull, for example.

As we explained in the description of the prior art, the mowers of the state of the art comprise hair collection reservoirs fed by hairs sucked up by a suction system. When the suction system is integrated into the mower, they are quite bulky since they have to be fitted with an impeller and ensure easy airflow through the entire suction system. When the suction system is external to the mower, the pipe connecting it to the suction considerably interferes with the handling of the mower.

The mower 1 according to the present invention does not have any of these drawbacks and has a collection tank which we also call hair collector 3 which collects the majority of the hairs which, once cut, pass through a "V" shaped comb. inverted allowing them to be trapped and made to fall into this hair collector 3.

The clipper according to the invention is therefore essentially no larger than an ordinary clipper without a hair collector 3.

The hair collector 3 can be formed by a reservoir 8 or a simple cover-shaped bracket 7 which is fixed against a hollow space 9 provided for this purpose on the handle 2. These embodiments are respectively represented to figures 4 and 5 . The hollow part 9 provided to receive the hair collector has substantially the same shape as the cover 7 or the reservoir 8 so that the hair collector 3 fits perfectly into the handle 2 of the mower and can thus be covered by the comb 4 in use.

Once the trimming of the beard is finished, the comb 2 can be removed (see figures 4 and 5 ) to release the hair collector which can then be emptied and cleaned. Comb 4 is completely removable.

The inverted "V" shaped comb 4 is located just above the cutting system of the mower and allows the hairs to be trapped as soon as they have been cut and these are then routed towards the hair collector ( to see figures 6 to 9 ).

By always using the mower according to the invention from the bottom upwards, the hair harvest is optimal. This procedure is shown in figures 10 and 11 .

The dimensions of the hair collector 3 are limited only by the limits of the design of the clipper, that is to say the space available in the handle of a clipper of ordinary size, the objective always being to limit the overall size of the trimmer 1 and to allow the comb 4 to slide above the hair collector 3.

Insofar as it is necessary to avoid the effect of static electricity as much as possible during mowing, the parts in contact with the hairs are made of a conductive material with a surface conductivity of less than 10 ⁶ Ohm, preferably less than 10 ³ Ohm according to standard EN 13463-1. This prevents the hairs from "sticking" to the comb and ultimately clogging the transport to the hair collector 3.

Claims (7)

1. A suction-free trimmer (1) comprising a handle (2) with a built-in hair collector (3) disposed below the cutting system (6) which, in use, collects at least part of the cut hairs, wherein the hair collector (3) is formed as a cover (7) or as a reservoir (8) fastened on the handle (2) in a hollow space having a shape substantially identical to said cover (7) or reservoir (8), said trimmer further comprising a comb (4), said comb (4) being removable to free the hair collector (3).
2. The trimmer according to claim 1, wherein the trimmer (1) is a beard trimmer.
3. The trimmer according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the hair collector (3) is removable.
4. The trimmer according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the teeth (5) of said comb are shaped so as to trap the hairs after the hairs have passed through the comb (4) by gradually reducing the gap between the teeth (5) in the direction of penetration.
5. The trimmer according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the teeth (5) have an inverted V shape.
6. The trimmer according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein, in use, the comb (4) at least partly covers the hair collector (3).
7. The trimmer according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the parts in contact with the hairs, in particular the comb (4), are made from a conductive material with a conductivity below 10⁶ Ohm, preferably below 10³ Ohm according to standard EN 13463-1.
