Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a preformed sanitary sealing corner to integrate a sanitary object in a sanitary room, in particular a bathroom. The sanitary object is preferably a bath or shower tray or a tray support system for such a sanitary tub.

At the sealing of such a sanitary object very high demands are made to permanently and reliably avoid water leakage. Absolute watertightness must be guaranteed not only immediately after installation, but also over the long term. A particular challenge is precisely in corners to allow an exact structural adaptation to radii of curvature and unevenness and on the other hand to avoid leaks in subsequent shifts, for example due to a setting behavior.

To seal sanitary objects against wall corners, a simple sealing tape can be used, as can be seen from the DE 100 31 214 A1 is known. However, precise adaptation to different building geometries is difficult, so that correspondingly a reliable sealing is difficult and results in a complex handling. In particular, there is a risk that at corners and transitions only an insufficient seal.

From the DE 299 05 152 U1 preformed sanitary sealing corners are known with which a sanitary object in the form of a bath or shower tray can be connected to an adjacent floor and wall surface.

However, the present invention relates specifically to a preformed sanitary sealing corner having a first wall portion, a second wall portion angled relative to the first wall portion, and a lower connecting portion, the connecting portion having a first leg below the first wall portion and a second leg below the second Wall portion is arranged, wherein the first wall portion and the first leg on the one hand and the second wall portion and the second leg on the other hand each aligned with an offset on a shoulder portion parallel to each other and wherein the wall portions and the connecting portion have a cover material.

A generic preformed sanitary sealing corner, from which the present invention proceeds, is made EP 2 774 516 A2 ( Fig. 1 ) known. The sealing corner has a shoulder portion to bridge a distance between an edge of a sanitary tub and the adjacent wall corner can.

More preformed, largely rigid sanitary sealing corners are made WO 2010/129043 A2 . CH 704 155 B1 and EP 0 281 403 A2 known. In the known embodiments, there is the disadvantage that the shape is precisely predetermined and can be adapted only to a limited extent, whereby a subsequent setting behavior due to the limited mobility can lead to leaks.

Against this background, the present invention has the object, at least partially overcome the disadvantages of the prior art and to provide a preformed sanitary sealing corner, which is characterized on the one hand by a very good handling and on the other hand, a very reliable seal.

The object of the invention and solution of the problem is a preformed sanitary sealing corner according to claim 1.

Starting from a generic embodiment, it is accordingly provided according to the invention that expansion zones are formed at the shoulder sections and at the bend between the wall sections, at which zones the cover material is interrupted at least in sections.

The subject of the invention is also a sanitary arrangement with a sanitary object in the form of a sanitary tub or a tub support system, with a wall corner and with a preformed sanitary sealing corner, which is designed as described above. The sanitary sealing corner is sealingly attached to the connecting portion at a corner of the sanitary object and with the wall portions at the wall corner.

At the lateral edges of the sealing corner conventional sealing tapes can be attached, which then seal the sanitary object against the respectively adjacent wall outside the corner. A closed frame of sealing material is usually formed around the circumference of the sanitary object, which comprises at least one preformed sanitary sealing corner according to the invention.

Due to the inventive design of the preformed sanitary sealing corner can be bridged on the one hand by means of the paragraph section, a lateral gap between the sanitary object and the adjacent wall corner. On the other hand, can be made by the expansion zones during assembly also form adjustments without a secure seal is compromised. Layers of plastic always exhibit an elastic and a plastic portion when stretched in practice, whereby the plastic can then return to the elastic portion after stretching.

In principle, it may be sufficient in the context of the invention if the expansion zones are readily stretchable, but have only low elastic properties.

Suitable, for example, a layer of foamed plastic, which preferably has closed cells. By a foam structure is achieved by the lattice-like arrangement of the pores in the broadest sense, a certain extensibility and elasticity, which also comparatively only with respect to a plastic deformation by the foaming low tensile forces are necessary. Additionally or alternatively, however, the plastic may also have elastic properties, with thermoplastic elastomers being particularly preferably used. For the detailed design of the preformed sanitary sealing corner arise within the scope of the invention, various possibilities.

Thus, the layer of stretchable plastic, for example, be formed by an at least stretchable and optionally elastically stretchable film. According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the wall sections and the connecting section are formed from separate material blanks, which are then connected by the stretchable plastic. In an alternative embodiment of the expandable plastic is not molded onto the material blanks, but provided in the form of a film blank of strips or as otherwise foil blank. The film blank is then pressed with the material blanks, in particular hot pressed. Particularly preferably, the sheet of thermoplastic material is at least partially melted, resulting in an intimate cohesive connection with the material blanks by the action of pressure and temperature during the pressing. Alternatively, film strips or a different type of film blank to form the stretchable plastic can also be glued to the material blanks.

The material blanks can be formed independently of the exact manufacturing method and the further embodiment of the sanitary sealing corner of conventional sealing materials and strips.

According to a first variant, the covering material is completely interrupted at the expansion zones. In principle, it may be sufficient if sections of the cover material are arranged at the expansion zones with a small distance or even on impact. Preferably, however, a range of, for example, between 2 and 20 mm is released even before a first elongation at the expansion zones in order to be able to provide sufficient material for expansion.

According to an alternative variant of the invention, the covering material is not completely interrupted at the expansion zones or at at least one of the expansion zones, but provided with a perforation. The perforation causes the covering material in the expansion zones to be more easily deformed and possibly even torn. However, it is important to ensure that the stretchable plastic provided there is always maintained at the usually expected strains.

As a cover material, a textile is particularly preferably provided, suitable as textile nonwovens, fabrics and knitted fabrics into consideration. In practice, nonwovens are particularly preferred because, on the one hand, they cause reinforcement and, on the other hand, they can be bonded well due to the fibrous structure.

If the expansion zone is formed by a film which also extends over the entire surface of the edge sections and the connecting section, then this film is then at least on one side, preferably on both sides, covered with the cover material, ie in particular nonwoven fabric. The connection can be made in different ways, in particular by adhesive.

If the expansion zone forming stretchable plastic is provided only in some areas and in particular molded or pressed as a foil strip or glued, the two wall sections and the connecting portion usually have a separate carrier layer on which at least on one side the cover material is arranged. As a carrier layer, for example, a laminated or extruded onto the outer layer film comes into consideration. The carrier layer can also be arranged as a core layer between two cover layers.

The preformed sanitary sealing corner is connected, on the one hand, to the corner of the sanitary object and, on the other hand, to the wall corner, with bonding preferably taking place. A corresponding adhesive can be applied to the cover material only during assembly, with straight nonwoven fabric forms a good basis for the inclusion of adhesive. The two legs of the lower connecting portion of the sanitary sealing corner can be provided both in the direction of the inside and in the direction of the outside with adhesive. The embodiment according to the Fig. 3 differs from the variant described above in that the plastic forming the expansion zones 7a, 7b is provided only directly in the region of the respective expansion zone 7a, 7b.
