Definitions
- the invention relates to an expansion joint strip for screed floors, with an upstanding leg having at least one layer of foam plastic and at least on one side an air-permeable but waterproof cover layer, which is extended to an angled foot.
- Such expansion joints strips are placed when casting screed floors on a base so that they form an expansion joint in the screed layer or at the edge, which can compensate for thermal expansion of the screed.
- edge insulation strips When arranged at the edge of the screed expansion joints strips that abut with their upstanding legs on an adjacent wall, it is also called edge insulation strips. These also serve to prevent the formation of sound and thermal bridges.
- DE 297 04 323 U1 describes a sealing sheet or a sealing tape as a connecting element in the construction industry, which has a water-impermeable intermediate layer, which is covered on one or both sides with a fleece.
- the water-impermeable intermediate layer is diffusible and permeable to water vapor and may be, for example, a film.
- nonwoven fibers of polyester, polyamides, polyethylene and polypropylene are described as suitable.
- DE 198 23 419 A1 relates to an intermediate rafters insulation system with an insulation in the form of a roll-up, laminated with a bilaterally edge-overlapping, air-barrier film laminated open cell insulation in rafter thickness.
- a watertight, but water-vapor-permeable film (roof underlayment) is laminated onto the insulating layer.
- the roof underlay has outwardly facing a fleece made of polyethylene, polypropylene or the like, which is permeable to water and water vapor.
- the membrane is followed on the inside by a membrane which is water-impermeable but permeable to water vapor.
- the membrane may be formed from a sponged polypropylene microspun nonwoven (meltblown nonwoven).
- the sealing strip has as carrier material a sealing film made of vapor-permeable plastic fleece, for example polyurethane, polyacrylate, polyester or polypropylene fleece.
- the sealing foil carries adhesive layers on its surfaces.
- the object of the invention is to provide an expansion joint strip which adheres better to adjacent materials.
- the cover layer is a nonwoven fabric of thermally bonded plastic fibers, wherein the cover layer is waterproof or at least on the outside has a water-impermeable skin.
- the nonwoven forms a bonding bridge, which ensures better bonding of the expansion joint strip to other materials, in particular so-called remedial screeds, fillers and the like.
- the upstanding leg can be fixed in the flat state so that any production or storage-related pre-curvature is largely eliminated.
- the extended and angled to one foot part of the top layer is based on the example of a thermal insulation formed backing and has, with a RanddämmstMail, due to its elastic properties tends to pivot the wall attachment leg always against the wall and bias, so that a safe Installation of the wall attachment leg guaranteed on the wall. With exposed expansion joint strips with feet on both sides, this bias keeps the upright leg stable in position.
- Both the cover layer and the foam plastic layer may consist, for example, of polyethylene or polypropylene. The use of the same plastics enables a sorted disposal.
- the top layer is permeable to air, but is compacted on the surface so that it forms a water-impermeable skin.
- the foot formed by the extended cover layer can then be bonded with an air-tight and watertight film, which forms a base for the liquid screed. So you get a waterproof "tub" for the liquid screed.
- the cover layer is permeable to air, so that air can escape to the outside, if air bubbles that have formed under the film are struck towards the edge.
- the in FIG. 1 shown expansion joint strip serves as RanddämmstMail and has an upstanding leg 10 (Wandstromschenkel) and a right angle thereof angled foot 12.
- the leg 10 has an approximately 0.5 -1 cm thick layer 14 of relatively coarse-cell polyethylene foam.
- an approximately 0.3 to 1 mm thick cover layer 16 is laminated, which consists of an air-permeable but waterproof and tear-resistant web of thermobonded plastic fibers, preferably also made of polyethylene.
- the topsheet 16 forms the angled foot 12 (FIG. Fig. 2 ) and is at least on the outer or upper side so compressed that there is a waterproof, in the example shown slightly grained skin is formed.
- the covering layer formed by the fleece therefore has a relatively high rigidity.
- FIGS. 3 and 4 show analogously to Figures 1 and 2 a freely erected expansion joint strip, the same structure as the edge insulation strip after Fig. 1 and 2 has, only with the difference that cover layers 16, 18 and feet 12 are provided from the fleece on both sides.
- the cover layers 16, 18 are not quite as high as the middle layer 14 in this example, so that they can be cut off more easily.
- FIG. 5 shows a portion of the layer 14 in its natural state before laminating the cover layers. It can be seen that this layer is curved both in cross-section and in the longitudinal direction. The corresponding curves are labeled R1 and R2. If the layer 14 is laminated in the planar state with at least one of the cover layers 16, 18, these curvatures are eliminated.
- FIG. 6 shows in a horizontal section the formation of an inner corner.
- the foot 12 is cut at the inner corner, so that when bending the two separate sections of the foot lie flat over each other.
- the layer 14 is laminated on both sides with the cover layers 16, 18, but the flexibility of the wall attachment leg was increased by the cover layer 18 and a portion of the layer 14 were cut by means of an incision 22 so that they at the kink can diverge.
- FIG. 7 shows an example of a RanddämmstMails with a glued to the foot 12 slide 24.
- the layer 14 is based on a wall 26 and stands with its lower edge on a footfall sound insulation 28, which is laid on a formed for example by concrete bottom surface 30.
- the film 24 forms on the impact sound insulation a waterproof base for the liquid screed.
- the bottom surface 30 has small bumps, or there are still small pebbles 34 on the ground, which can then lead to a tipping of the impact sound insulation 28, as a comparison of FIGS. 7 and 8 shows. If now film 24 is loaded near the edge, so that the impact sound insulation 28 in the in FIG. 8 shown position tilts and / or slightly compressed, it should be avoided that the leg 10 pivots away from the wall 26 and an undesirable cavity between the wall 26 on the one hand and the leg 10 is formed.
- the cover layer 16 forms a water-impermeable skin, which is glued tightly to the film 24. Because the top layer is permeable to air, the air can escape from the air bubbles 32 to the wall 26 towards.
- cover layer 16 is elastic at the bend between wall attachment leg and foot and has a tendency to pivot the wall attachment legs so that it always rests against the wall 26 under tension. If now the impact sound insulation 28 in the in FIG. 8 shown yields, so the leg 10 lowers at best somewhat, but is still biased by the force generated by the top layer 16 force F against the wall 26. Thus, the emergence of unwanted cavities can be effectively avoided.
- a double-sided adhesive tape 36 is indicated, which serves to glue the foot 12 with the impact sound insulation 28.
- the double-sided adhesive tape 36 is covered by a peelable protective strip.
- a corresponding double-sided adhesive tape may also be provided at the top of the foot 20 to bond the foot to the film 24.
- the leg 10 may also be additionally stiffened by reinforcing layers, for example by web plates, such as DE 10 2005 045 278 A1 is known, or by multi-layer plastic films with corrugated cardboard structure, such as EP 1 710 370 A1 is known.

Description
The invention relates to an expansion joint strip for screed floors, with an upstanding leg having at least one layer of foam plastic and at least on one side an air-permeable but waterproof cover layer, which is extended to an angled foot.
Such expansion joints strips are placed when casting screed floors on a base so that they form an expansion joint in the screed layer or at the edge, which can compensate for thermal expansion of the screed. When arranged at the edge of the screed expansion joints strips that abut with their upstanding legs on an adjacent wall, it is also called edge insulation strips. These also serve to prevent the formation of sound and thermal bridges.
The object of the invention is to provide an expansion joint strip which adheres better to adjacent materials.
This object is achieved in that the cover layer is a nonwoven fabric of thermally bonded plastic fibers, wherein the cover layer is waterproof or at least on the outside has a water-impermeable skin.
The nonwoven forms a bonding bridge, which ensures better bonding of the expansion joint strip to other materials, in particular so-called remedial screeds, fillers and the like.
Characterized in that the foam plastic is laminated in the flat state with the fleece, the upstanding leg can be fixed in the flat state so that any production or storage-related pre-curvature is largely eliminated. This gives a flat, board-like structure that can be set up clean or put on the wall. The extended and angled to one foot part of the top layer is based on the example of a thermal insulation formed backing and has, with a Randdämmstreifen, due to its elastic properties tends to pivot the wall attachment leg always against the wall and bias, so that a safe Installation of the wall attachment leg guaranteed on the wall. With exposed expansion joint strips with feet on both sides, this bias keeps the upright leg stable in position.
Advantageous embodiments and modifications of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims.
Both the cover layer and the foam plastic layer may consist, for example, of polyethylene or polypropylene. The use of the same plastics enables a sorted disposal.
The top layer is permeable to air, but is compacted on the surface so that it forms a water-impermeable skin. The foot formed by the extended cover layer can then be bonded with an air-tight and watertight film, which forms a base for the liquid screed. So you get a waterproof "tub" for the liquid screed. It is particularly advantageous that the cover layer is permeable to air, so that air can escape to the outside, if air bubbles that have formed under the film are struck towards the edge.
