Description

The present invention relates to a sliding element, in particular a sliding door or a lifting and sliding door, with a window frame, a wing that can be moved relative to the window frame and a locking device for optionally locking the wing on the window frame.

Sliding elements of this type are becoming increasingly widespread, for example in the form of large terrace doors or windows, but are also used in the form of sliding walls for the temporary separation of certain areas of a room. The sliding direction of the wing is horizontal when the sliding element is installed. A fitting in the form of a carriage arrangement can be provided on the wing, the rollers of which roll on a lower track or on a hanging rail. The frame can be any fixed support for mounting the sliding sash. This means that the frame does not necessarily have to be frame-like in the sense that it has a closed shape.

In the case of house and patio doors in particular, it is important that the closed and locked sash cannot be pushed open with increased effort. Common sliding elements can therefore be provided with hook closures. In the case of a hook closure, a hook which can be swung out from the front closing edge of the wing is provided and can be rotated by means of a handle, such as a rotary knob, so that it either engages in a hook receptacle of the frame or not.

Hook closures have a comparatively complex construction. In addition, the operation of a rotary handle or rotary knob is annoying for a user with each opening and closing operation.

The US 962,827 A discloses a lock for the sliding wall of a freight car, which has a perforated arm and a locking bolt which engages in the hole.

The US 5,542,720 A discloses a door with an automatic locking function. Locking pins are provided, each of which strikes a stamp during the closing process and presses it back against the force of springs.

In the US 2,031,725 A discloses a lock for a fly screen door which comprises a bolt which is screwed onto the door wing and is provided with a ramp and a notch. When closing, a spring-loaded retaining plate slidably mounted on the frame enters the notch in order to produce the locking.

That in the FR 684 515 A disclosed door lock has a locking bolt which is arranged completely inside the lock housing and is provided with a run-up slope. A locking hook can enter the lock housing and lock there with the locking bolt.

In the EP 0 032 789 A1 discloses a pivoting locking hook which, when entering the lock housing, presses against a front slope of the associated locking bolt and pushes it to the side until it engages in the recess 35 due to the spring force.

It is an object of the invention to simplify the locking and unlocking of sliding elements.

The problem is solved by a sliding element with the features of claim 1.

In the case of a sliding element according to the invention, the lock device comprises a lock latch which is displaceably mounted on the frame or on the sash between a retracted release position and an extended locking position and is designed for latching engagement with a retaining edge arranged on the other element of the frame and sash, the lock latch being by means of a spring device is biased into the extended locking position.

The latching engagement between the lock latch and the retaining edge is to be understood in the sense that the lock latch engages automatically when the leaf is closed and subsequently blocks a return movement of the leaf. This means that the leaf is prevented from moving when the leaf is in the closed position and the lock latch is in the extended locking position. Then the lock latch must first be moved into the withdrawn release position in order to be able to slide the sash open. The sliding lock latch therefore enables the leaf to be locked automatically during the closing process. The user only has to slide the leaf into the closed position in order to bring the lock latch into place and thus establish the locked state. It is not necessary to operate a handle or the like. However, a handle can be provided on the wing in order to facilitate pushing. Since it is not necessary to mechanically couple such a handle to the lock device, the handle can be arranged at any point on the wing. In contrast to a swiveling hook, a sliding lock latch enables a simpler, cheaper and space-saving construction.

The invention provides that the retaining edge extends along a closing edge of the wing over an engagement area which is enlarged compared to the corresponding extent of the lock latch. In relation to the closing edge of the wing, the retaining edge is therefore preferably longer than the latch. Such a lock device is also suitable for lift and slide doors, the leaves of which perform a combination of sliding movement and lowering movement in the last phase of the closing process.

According to the invention, the retaining edge extends at least substantially along the entire closing edge of the wing. It then does not matter at which point the lock latch engages. A wing with such a retaining edge can therefore be combined with different frame frames with regard to the lock latch arrangement.

The lock latch can be mounted directly or indirectly on the frame or on the sash. For example, the lock latch can be mounted on a fitting part which is designed for attachment to the frame or to the sash. Likewise, the retaining edge can be formed on a fitting part, which is designed for attachment to the sash or frame. However, the retaining edge is preferably formed directly on a frame profile of the sash or the frame.

The lock latch is preferably displaceable transversely to a closing direction of the wing. This ensures a secure locking action against the closing direction of the wing.

It is further preferred that the lock latch has a run-on slope for a closing edge of the wing or a component acted upon by it and is in particular designed as a slope latch or crank latch. When the leading edge of the wing or the impacted component hits the run-up slope the lock latch is automatically moved into the retracted release position so that the retaining edge can pass through the lock latch. The lock latch is then pushed back into the extended position by the force of the spring device, whereby it engages behind the retaining edge in a form-fitting manner.

A latch holder for the lock latch can be provided on the wing or on the frame, the retaining edge being formed by an edge of the latch holder. This enables a particularly reliable locking.

The latch receptacle can be formed by a recess or recess in the sash or the frame, in particular a frame or sash profile. The holding edge is preferably formed in one piece with the frame or sash. In the simplest case, an elongated groove or notch can be provided as a recess or recess in the wing or the frame.

A further embodiment of the invention provides that the window frame comprises a closing edge receptacle for a closing edge of the leaf, the lock latch being mounted on the window frame and projecting into the closing edge receptacle when it is in the locking position. In this embodiment, the lock latch passes directly through the front section of the wing, so that a particularly secure locking effect is achieved.

The wing can have a closing edge which comprises a front stop surface and a wing projection which projects from the front stop surface and is designed for engagement in the closing edge receptacle. This configuration enables a particularly tightly closing sliding element. In order to reinforce the sealing effect, at least one sealing element can be arranged on the stop surface. When the sash is closed, the stop surface does not necessarily have to lie directly on the frame, but can, for example just press one or more sealing elements against the frame. The section of the closing edge carrying the sealing elements is also to be understood as a stop surface in this embodiment.

A sliding element according to the invention can have a damping device which is arranged on the window frame and is designed to resist the movement of the wing opening when the sliding element is closed. This avoids an undesirably violent impact of the sash on the frame during the closing process.

The damping device can comprise a contact element with a run-up surface for a closing edge of the leaf, which is biased against a closing direction of the leaf by means of a storage spring. Such a damping device acts as an energy store. The stored energy can be used when opening the sash to support the sliding movement so as to reduce the force required to open the sash and to further facilitate the operation of the sliding element.

The damping device can be arranged recessed in a closing edge receptacle of the frame, so that it is not or hardly recognizable from the outside. This configuration ensures a particularly appealing appearance of the sliding element.

The lock latch can be displaced into the retracted release position against the prestressing force of the spring device via an actuating device. In particular, the actuating device can comprise a, preferably electrical, drive for the lock latch and an operating element for activating the drive. In contrast to a rotary handle or rotary knob, such an operating element can be made relatively small and inconspicuous. In the simplest case, a simple release button or a release button can be provided as an operating element his. If the lock latch, together with the drive and the operating element, is arranged on the frame, the sash can be kept completely free of any operating and actuating elements.

A sliding element according to the invention is preferably designed as a lifting sliding door. When closed, the leaves of such lift-slide doors sit on a floor-side track, which results in a high level of tightness and a particularly secure hold. In contrast to a hook lock, a lock device with a sliding lock latch is also suitable for a lift and slide door.

Further developments of the invention are also specified in the dependent claims, the description and the accompanying drawings.

In the Fig. 1 shown lift and slide door 11 comprises a frame 13, a fixed wing 15a and a sliding wing 15b. The frame 13 is firmly connected to a building wall 17. While the fixed leaf 15a is firmly connected to the frame 13, the sliding leaf 15b can be displaced in and against a horizontal closing direction S with respect to the frame 13. For this purpose, an arrangement of several carriages that can be moved along a track can be provided.

The sliding sash 15b comprises a sash frame 19 and a glazing element 21 held by the sash frame 19. The sash frame 19 is composed of hollow profile elements 20, 20 ', which are preferably made of plastic or aluminum. The fixed wing 15a likewise comprises a glazing element 21 which is held by a hollow profile element 20 'and by the frame 13.

The hollow profile element 20 on the left of the sliding leaf 15b in the picture is in the in Fig. 1 Shown position of the sliding leaf 15b shown in contact with the frame 13 and therefore forms a closing edge 25 of the sliding leaf 15b. Furthermore, the hollow profile element 20 forming the closing edge 25 has a front stop surface 27, from which a central wing projection 29 protrudes. Sealing elements 30 made of an elastic material are attached to the outer edge regions of the stop surface 27.

As especially in Fig. 2 it can be seen that a groove 33 with a triangular cross-sectional shape is formed on one side of the wing projection 29, which preferably extends over the entire height of the sliding wing 15b. The groove 33 serves as a latch receptacle for a lock latch 35 which has a run-up slope 45 and is mounted in the frame 13 such that it can be moved transversely to the closing direction S.

The lock latch 35 is designed here as a simple inclined latch and is seated in a latch housing 37 inserted into the frame 13. B. a compression spring is the lock latch 35 in the Fig. 2 Extended locking position shown biased. In this position, the latch 35 protrudes into a recess 39 in the frame 13.

Die Vorderseite des Kontaktelements 41 bildet eine Auflauffläche 42 für den Flügelvorsprung 29.In the recess 39, a damping device 40 is provided for braking the sliding leaf 15b shortly before reaching the closed position. The damping device 40 comprises a contact element 41, for example in the form of a plate, rail or bar, as well as a spring arrangement 43 which moves the contact element 41 in the direction opposite to the closing direction S. Fig. 2 preload shown end position. In this end position, the contact element 41 is, as shown, flush with the frame 13. The front of the contact element 41 forms a run-up surface 42 for the wing projection 29.

If the sliding sash 15b starting from the in Fig. 2 shown position is closed, the wing projection 29 hits the contact element 41 and is thereby braked by tensioning the spring assembly 43. While the wing projection 29 reaches the recess 39, the rear side 44 of the contact element 41 meets the ramp 45 of the lock latch 35 and forces the lock latch 35 out of the recess 39 against the force of the spring device. Subsequently, the latch 35 latches or snaps into the groove 33 of the wing projection 29, as shown in FIG Fig. 3 is shown. The positioning of the groove 33 is selected such that the latch 35 is snapped into place at least substantially simultaneously with the sealing elements 30 striking the frame 13. The sliding sash 15b is then in a closed position and is locked with respect to the frame 13, since the lock latch 35 has a retaining edge 46 ( Fig. 2 ) engages behind the edge of the groove 33. The arrangement of the lock latch 35 and the groove 33 therefore forms a lock device 47 of the lift and slide door 11. The cross-sectional shape of the lock latch 35 is adapted to the cross-sectional shape of the groove 33, so that the lock latch 35 is received flush in the groove 33.

To unlock and open the sliding sash 15b, the lock latch 35 by means of an electric drive, not shown, such as. B. an electromagnetic actuator against the biasing force of the spring device can be moved into a retracted release position. The electric drive can be activated by a trigger button 50 arranged on the frame 13. As soon as the latch 35 is withdrawn, the locking of the sliding leaf 15b is released and the sliding leaf 15b can be pushed open. The opening movement of the sliding sash 15b is supported by the spring arrangement 43 of the damping device 40, so that the sliding sash 15b can be opened with relatively little effort. In order to enable the lifting and sliding door 11 to be opened both from the outside and from the inside, a further release button can be provided, but this is not shown in the figures.

Due to the fact that the groove 33 is significantly longer than the engagement area of the lock latch 35, the sliding leaf 15b can easily move with a vertical component while the lock latch 35 is latched into the groove 33, that is to say the sliding leaf 15b can be lowered when closing.

The Fig. 4 and 5 show an alternative embodiment of a lift and slide door 11 'according to the invention, which has a similar construction as that above Lifting and sliding door 11 described. However, the casement 19 'is not formed by hollow profiles here, but rather is of solid construction. Furthermore, the abutment surface 27 'of the wing projection 29' is comparatively narrow and is covered over the entire area by sealing elements 30 '. Another difference from the embodiment according to Fig. 1-3 consists in the fact that the lock latch 35 'is not mounted directly on the frame 13, but in a lock case 55 designed as a fitting part, in which the electric drive is also accommodated and to which the release button 50 is attached. How from Fig. 4 results, the lock latch 35 'is designed as a noise-damping crank latch and accordingly comprises a crank lever 65.
