Definitions
- the present invention relates to a laundry care device for drying laundry with a condensate water container for collecting the condensation water generated during the drying process from the moist laundry and a method for collecting and emptying condensation water generated during a drying process from wet laundry in a laundry care device.
- the condensate not used for self-cleaning is collected and stored in a condensate water container during the drying of the damp laundry until the user of the laundry care device empties the container.
- the condensate water container is usually emptied after the laundry has completely dried.
- the size of the condensate water container is limited for geometrical reasons, which means that with higher loads of laundry in the laundry care device the volume in the condensate water container is insufficient to to store all of the condensed water from a complete drying process. Higher loads are, for example, loads of> 9 kg + 60% mass fraction of residual moisture in the laundry to be dried.
- the DE 10 2007 052835 discloses an apparatus for cleaning a component arranged within a process air circuit of a washer or dryer, in particular an evaporator of a condenser device.
- Condensate water which is obtained in the process air circuit from the dryer of wet laundry and collected in a condensate water trough, is led to a rinsing tank provided above the evaporator or to a rinsing chamber of a collecting tank including this and an overflow area serving as a storage chamber, and by suddenly opening the rinsing tank or the rinsing chamber on the outlet side as a water surge to the component in question, and / or pressurized power water is delivered to the component in question.
- DE 43 00 694 A1 describes a laundry care device with a condensate water container shell, which has an additional buffer storage volume for receiving condensed water.
- DE 10 2007 049 061 and DE 10 2008 032 800 A1 each describe a device for cleaning a component, in particular an evaporator of a condenser device.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a laundry care appliance and a method for operating a laundry care appliance in which complete drying of laundry is improved.
- the laundry care device for drying laundry comprises a condensate water container for collecting the condensation water generated during the drying process from the moist laundry. Furthermore, the laundry care device has a base group which is connected to the condensate water container via a container line for guiding the condensate water into the latter.
- the condensate water container can be removed from a condensate water container shell for emptying the condensate water container and reinserted.
- the condensate water container shell has an additional buffer storage volume for receiving condensed water, the condensate water container being connected to a cleaning line via a flap element, the flap element having a spring element which is relieved when the condensate water container is removed, so that the condensed water is emptied to empty the buffer storage volume Opening of the relieved flap element flows through the cleaning line.
- the laundry care device is in particular a dryer or washer dryer, for example a heat pump dryer or a condensation dryer.
- the laundry care device includes, among other things, the laundry drum in which the damp laundry to be dried is arranged.
- the bottom group includes z. B. a condensate pump, valves, a fluff filter, an air blower, etc.
- a container line is arranged, through which the condensed water can be directed, for example, via the condensate pump from the bottom group into the condensate water tank.
- the condensate water container as such is stored in a condensate water container shell from which the condensate water container can be removed and reinserted.
- the condensate water container shell has an addition to a condensate water container volume of the condensate water container Buffer storage volume in which condensed water can be stored, especially if the condensed water container as such is already completely filled with condensed water.
- the condensate tank pan is e.g. B. given by a recess in the housing of the laundry care device.
- the condensate water container is at least partially insertable into the condensate water container shell, the additional buffer storage volume being given by a region of the recess which is not occupied by the condensate water container after it has been inserted. If consequently a maximum storage volume of the condensate water tank is reached, condensate water still to be stored can be stored in the additional buffer storage volume of the condensate water tank shell.
- This has the advantage that the condensed water which arises when drying is complete can also be completely absorbed by the laundry care appliance, in particular in the holding volume of the condensed water container and the condensed water container shell. This can prevent residual moisture from remaining in the laundry to be dried.
- condensate water can flow directly from the tank line into the condensate water tray.
- condensed water flows from the condensed water container into the condensed water container shell, so that the condensed water in the container line can flow into the condensed water container.
- electromechanical valves are provided, which can be controlled via a control.
- the valves each have a state in which the condensed water can pass through the valves (open state) and a state in which the condensed water cannot pass through the valves (closed state).
- the condensate water container shell is filled with condensation water when a threshold value in the condensate water container is exceeded.
- the threshold value corresponds to a predetermined intake volume of the condensed water or a predetermined condensed water weight.
- the condensate water container In an inserted state of the condensate water container there is preferably a fluid connection between the condensate water container and the condensate water container shell, via which condensation water flows from the condensate water container into the condensate water container shell when a threshold value is exceeded.
- the fluid connection between the condensate water container and the condensate water container shell is interrupted, so that no condensation water can escape undesirably from the condensate water container during the removal.
- a valve or a reclosable membrane or the like can be provided for this purpose.
- the threshold value corresponds to a, in particular maximum, condensation water weight, which can be taken up by the condensation water container, in particular the maximum. It is conceivable that the fluid connection between the condensate water container and the condensate water container shell in the inserted state can be adjusted, in particular automatically adjusted, by an actuator on the basis of the condensate water weight already accumulated in the condensate water container.
- the threshold value is preferably in a range from 2 kg to 6 kg of condensed water. When the threshold value is reached, the actuator is consequently switched so that a fluid connection is created between the condensate water container and the condensate water container shell.
- the actuator can be controlled purely mechanically or electromechanically.
- the term “maximum” should be understood to mean that the condensate water container provides a holding volume which allows a maximum absorption of condensed water. The maximum amount of condensed water absorbed consequently has a maximum condensed water volume and / or a maximum condensed water weight.
- the condensate water tank is connected to a cleaning line via a flap element.
- condensation water from the condensate water container shell can be passed via the cleaning line via the cleaning line into a rinsing device which cleans the flaps of an evaporator from fluff.
- the flap element has a spring element which is relieved when the condensate water container is removed, so that the condensate flows out through an opening in the relieved flap element through the cleaning line in order to empty the buffer storage volume.
- the spring element of the flap element is relieved due to the missing weight of the condensate water container (in particular without condensed water), as a result of which the opening in the flap element between the condensate water container shell and the cleaning line is released.
- This allows the condensate to flow out of the condensate container into the cleaning line.
- the condensate water container shell is in fluid communication with a return line for returning the condensate water to the base group, in particular if the condensate water container shell has already been absorbed to a maximum.
- condensed water can be returned to the floor assembly via the return line.
- This has the advantage that a condensation water circuit is always present within the laundry care device, via which the condensation water can be distributed within the laundry care device. This prevents the condensate water container or the condensate water container shell from being destroyed by the condensation water or that the condensation water cannot escape from the damp laundry.
- the return line preferably has a return line wall which extends from a bottom of the condensate water container shell into the condensate water container shell. Only when a condensation level is exceeded is greater than the extent the return line wall, the condensate returns via the return line, the return in particular taking place automatically.
- the return line wall consequently defines a possible maximum holding volume of the condensate water container shell. The longer the return line wall extends into the condensate water tank shell, the greater the volume of the condensate water tank shell.
- the maximum holding volume of the condensate water container shell is proportional to a base area of the condensate water container shell times a length of the extension of the return line wall into the condensate water container shell. In this way, an automatic return of the condensed water via the return line is realized in a simple manner when a maximum absorption volume of condensed water has been reached in the condensed water container shell, in particular without further aids.
- the flap element comprises a deflectable flap for emptying the buffer storage volume.
- the deflectable flap can preferably be deflected via an actuator, in particular a lifting magnet.
- the deflectable flap can be opened or closed for emptying, the actuator, in particular the lifting magnet, being controllable via a control.
- the actuator, in particular the lifting magnet can be controlled electrically or electromechanically via the control.
- the deflectable flap which can be actuated by the actuator, can release condensed water for an internal rinsing process of the evaporator during the drying operation. The condensed water for rinsing the evaporator is released in particular from the condensed water container shell.
- the actuator in particular the lifting magnet, is fastened to the condensate water container shell with at least one fastening means and is connected to the control by means of an electrical contact. If the control controls the actuator, the deflectable flap can be opened so that condensed water can escape from the buffer storage volume into the cleaning line.
- a return line can be dispensed with.
- the exemplary embodiment with the deflectable flap can consequently be understood as an alternative embodiment or as a supplementary embodiment, since a return line can be dispensed with, but need not be.
- a further aspect of the present invention relates to a method for collecting and subsequently emptying condensation water from moist laundry produced in a drying process in a laundry care device.
- the laundry care device has a base group which is connected via a container line for guiding the condensed water into a condensed water container.
- the condensate water container can be removed and reinserted in a condensate water container shell for emptying the condensate water container.
- the condensed water is conducted into an additional buffer storage volume of the condensed water container shell, in particular after a maximum absorption of condensed water in the condensed water container.
- condensed water is conducted into the condensate water container shell if it has been determined by the control system coupled to sensors that the condensate water container has already taken up a maximum volume of condensed water.
- the condensate still accumulating during drying can consequently be stored completely within the laundry care device, so that the laundry to be dried can be dried completely.
- the condensate water container shell is emptied via an opening in a flap element, the flap element having a spring element, so that when the condensate water container is removed, the flap element is relieved and the opening for the condensed water is released and the condensed water flows out of the condensate water container shell via a cleaning line.
- the buffer storage volume of the condensate water container shell is automatically emptied, in which the condensate water collected in the condensate water container shell flows into the cleaning line.
- an opening in a flap element is opened via a deflectable flap for emptying the condensate water container shell, so that the flap opening releases the condensation water and the condensation water flows out of the condensation water container shell via the cleaning line.
- An outflowing condensate via a deflectable flap can be understood as an alternative embodiment of the method or as a supplementary embodiment of the method.
- the deflectable flap can consequently be present alone or in addition to the opening in the flap element. Opening via the deflectable flap takes place in particular during a drying process while the condensate is draining off via the opening in the flap element, preferably after a drying process, when the condensate water container has been removed from the laundry care device.
- the deflectable flap is preferably coupled electromechanically or electrically to an electrically controllable actuator, in particular lifting magnets.
- the deflectable flap is controlled electrically or electromechanically via a control, in particular the control takes place during a drying process.
- condensation water is directed via a cleaning line into a flushing device which distributes the condensation water to the evaporator fins in order to flush them. In this way, the performance performance of the laundry care device can be maintained in the long term, since it is avoided that the evaporator is covered with fluff over time.
- the condensate water container shell is preferably in fluid communication with a return line for returning the condensed water to the base group.
- the return line has a return line wall which extends from a bottom of the condensate water container shell into the condensate water container shell. If the condensate level is greater than the extent of the return line wall, condensed water runs back, in particular automatically, via the return line. The maximum intake volume of the condensate container is consequently proportional to the finite extent of the return line wall. The return via the return line takes place automatically, without the need to switch an additional actuator or a valve or the like.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic three-dimensional representation of a laundry care device 1, in particular a dryer.
- the laundry care device 1 has a drum 2, in which laundry 3 is filled.
- the laundry care appliance 1 also has a condensate water container 8, which collects condensation water 40 during a drying process.

- condensed water can flow out of the condensate water container 8 or out of the condensate water container shell 25 into the cleaning line 12.
- FIG. 2 shows schematically a more detailed structure of the laundry care device 1.
- the drum 2 is shown schematically, in which laundry 3 to be dried is introduced.
- Process air can be blown into the drum 2 via a process air circuit 4 in order to dry the moist laundry 3.
- the process air passes through a fluff filter 19, which mainly collects fluff from the drum 2 that is also transported.
- the process air passes through the fluff filter 19 and reaches a heat exchanger 14, where the process air is cooled.
- the moisture condenses from the process air and is collected in the condensate water tank 8 or in the condensate water tank shell 25 and used at a later time for rinsing off the heat exchanger 14.
- the condensed water is conducted via a container line 6 into the condensate water container 8 or into the condensate water container shell 25.
- a condensate pump 7 is provided, which pumps the condensed water through the container line 6.
- a filter insert 9 is provided at the entry of the condensate water container 8 in order to filter the condensate water again, in particular of fluff, in order to avoid that fluff or the like get into the condensate water container 8.
- the filter insert 9 seals the condensate water container 8 from the environment at the opening 10 of the condensate water container 10.
- the condensate water container 8 is inserted into a condensate water container shell 25.
- Condensed water 40 can be cleaned via the cleaning line 12 get to the heat exchanger 14 by actuating an actuator 11 via a valve 13.

- an opening mechanism 20 is actuated, which results in the cleaning line 12 being opened.
- a drive motor 22, which is coupled to a belt 23, is responsible for a rotary movement of the drum 2.
- the belt 23 is coupled to the drive motor 23 via a roller 24.
- FIG. 3 shows a condensate water tank 8 of a laundry care device 1 according to a first embodiment.
- condensation water is introduced into an inlet 30 via the container line 6.
- the filter insert 9 for filtering the condensed water is arranged in the inlet 30. After passing through the filter insert 9, the condensed water penetrates into the condensed water container 8.
- the condensate container 25, in which the condensate container 8 is inserted, is arranged below the condensate container 8.
- the condensate water container shell 25 has a buffer storage volume 32 which can additionally hold condensed water. Starting from a bottom 34 of the condensate water container shell 25, a return line wall 36 of a return line extends into the condensate water container shell 25.
- the condensate water tank 8 is coupled to the cleaning line 12 via a flap element 42.
- the flap element is in Fig. 4 and 42 has a spring element 44 and an opening 46 through which condensed water 40 can escape into the cleaning line 12 in a relieved state of the spring element 44.
- FIG. 5 shows a schematic view of the operation of the laundry care device 1, in which the condensate water container 8 is inserted into the condensate water container shell 25.
- 6a and 6b each show a zoom 60 according to Fig. 5 .
- the solid line designated by the reference symbol "A”, shows one State in which the flap element 42 is attached to the cleaning line 12 and closes the opening 46 of the flap element 42. This condition is also in Fig. 6a to see.
- the broken line which is identified by the reference symbol “B”, shows a state in which the actuator 11 has been actuated, which results in the opening mechanism 20 opening.
- the flap element 42 which in the closed state ( Fig.
- FIG. 6a is under tension, is opened ( Fig. 6b ) relaxed, so that the flap element 42 at least partially protrudes from the cleaning line 12 in the direction of the opening mechanism 20 in state B, so that the opening 46 is exposed in relation to the condensate container 25.
- condensed water 40 can flow through the opening 46 into the cleaning line 12 in the open state.
- the condensate water container 8 is removed from the laundry care device (see Fig. 6b ), while in the closed state the condensate water container 8 is inserted in the laundry care device 1 (see Fig. 6a ).
- the flap element 42 in combination with the opening mechanism 20, serves as a closure element and is in particular designed as a conical tube.
- An opening 48 of the cleaning line 12 is as in FIG Fig. 6a shown closed in the closed state, since the opening 46 of the flap element 42 and the opening 48 of the cleaning line 12 are not congruent to one another. However, if the actuator 11 is actuated so that the spring element 44 can relax, as in FIG Figure 6b shown, the opening 48 and the opening 46 are congruent with each other, so that condensed water 40 can flow through these two openings into the cleaning line 12.
- the reference numeral 50 indicates a maximum condensed water level of the condensed water 40 in the condensed water container 8 or the condensed water container shell 25.
- Figure 7 shows a further embodiment, which is an alternative to the embodiment according to Figure 3 is executed.
- the embodiment according to Figure 7 could, however, also in combination with the embodiment according to Figure 3 are carried out, which is not shown here.
- Figure 7 shows a condensate water tank 8, similar to in Figure 3 .
- the difference to Figure 3 is that the condensate water tank 8 is not connected to a return line 38.
- the flap element 42 has a deflectable flap 70.
- the deflectable flap 70 is coupled to the actuator 11. When the actuator 11 is actuated, the deflectable flap 70 is deflected accordingly, so that condensed water 40 can flow from the buffer storage volume 32 through the flap opening of the flap 70 into the cleaning line 12.
- this is the Figures 8 and 9a and 9b refer to.
- Figure 9a shows a closed state in which the deflectable flap bears closed against the flap element 42.
- Figure 9b shows a deflected state of the deflectable flap 70, in which the opening of the deflectable flap 70 allows condensed water 40 to penetrate into the cleaning line 12.
- the opening mechanism 20 is thus shown in a closed state (solid line, A) while in FIG Figure 9b the opening mechanism is shown in an open state (solid line, B in Fig. 9b and dashed line B in Fig. 9a ).
- the actuator 11 can be controlled electrically via the controller 26.
- the actuator 11 is preferably a lifting magnet, which initiates a mechanical movement through the electrical control. It is also conceivable that the actuator 11 is formed by another electromechanical element which is capable of performing a mechanical movement by means of an electrical pulse.
- Figures 9a and 9b which each show a zoom 60, can also be seen, is both in the open state ( Fig. 9b ), as well as when closed ( Fig. 9a ) the condensate water container 8 is inserted into the laundry care device 1.
- the condensate can also flow off via the cleaning line 12 during a drying process.
- an overflow opening 52 is provided, through which condensate 40 can flow into the cleaning line 12 when the maximum condensate level in the condensate container 25 is reached.
