Proceeding from this, the invention is based on the object of further developing methods, devices and bags.

A method for solving this problem has the features of claim 1. It is therefore provided that the continuous material web is folded so that an at least partially two-layer continuous material web is created, and that then the two layers of the continuous material web are connected to one another by applying at least one connecting seam, the connecting seam preferably being interrupted and running in the longitudinal direction of the material web , and that a layer of the double-layer continuous material web is then separated by a preferably continuous severing cut to form the opening for the bags, and that longitudinal and / or transverse seams for the bags are then attached to the continuous material web and that the bags are then removed the continuous web of material are separated.

By using a two-layer material web, it is possible for the inside of the bag flap to have printing, even if the material web is only printed on one side. In this way, the scope for design is expanded in a simple and inexpensive manner or more space is made available for design or informational purposes. It has surprisingly been found that for various reasons it is more advantageous to use a double-layer material web that is printed on one side than a single-layer material web that is printed on both sides.

According to a preferred further development it can be provided that a preferably upper or inner layer of the double-layer continuous material web is spaced from the other layer, in particular by lifting, and that a closure means for the bag of the bag is attached in the area of the opening around the opening to be able to open and close the bag several times.

In this context, it is particularly advisable that a material strip is attached to the continuous material web to form a ziplock, and that later ends of the material strip are welded in the area of the side edges of the bag after the zip lock has been at least partially opened.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that transverse seams of the bags are applied after the material strip for the zip locks has been attached and before the later ends of the material strip are welded.

A special feature can be that strips of glue are provided for a peel-seal seam of the bag on the continuous material web and are brought into contact with one another by folding the material web, and that after the bag has been filled with tobacco as the package content, the peel- Seal seam in the area of the opening of the bag is closed.

It can be particularly advantageous if the two layers of the continuous material web are connected to one another by two parallel connecting seams, one connecting seam being attached along an edge of the double-layer continuous material web and a second connecting seam at a distance from the first connecting seam above the opening to be made later, and that the severing cut is then made at a preferably small distance below the second connecting seam, in particular in such a way that as few folds as possible are formed in the layer of the continuous material web severed by the severing cut when the severing cut is made.

Accordingly, it can be advantageous if the layer of the continuous material web to be separated by the separating cut is held down, in particular by rolling on both sides of the separating cut, so that the formation of folds in the position when the separating cut is made is counteracted.

Another special feature, for which protection is also claimed independently of the other features, can be that another separating cut is made in the other layer of the continuous web of material, namely in the area of the bag flap, to form another pocket for smokers' articles, which ( also) is accessible from the outside when the bag flap is closed.

A device for solving the aforementioned object has the features of claim 9. It is therefore provided that:
  • the continuous material web is folded in a folding station so that an at least partially two-ply continuous material web is created,
  • in a connecting station following the folding station, the two layers of the continuous material web are connected to one another by attaching at least one connecting seam, the connecting seam preferably being interrupted and running in the longitudinal direction of the material web,
  • in a cutting station following the folding station, a layer of the double-layer continuous material web is separated by a preferably continuous separating cut to form the opening of the bags,
  • longitudinal and / or transverse seams for the bags are attached to the continuous material web in a sealing station,
  • the bags are separated from the continuous web of material in a separation station.

The invention is concerned with the manufacture of bags 10 from film. The bags 10 have a pocket 11 for receiving the contents of the bag. In the present case, this is a portion 12 on cut tobacco. The contents of the bag can be filled into the bag 11 through an opening 13 or removed later through this. A bag flap 14 is used to close or cover the opening 13. In the closed position, the bag flap 14 is secured to the bag 10 by a closure means, in particular a closure tape 15. Furthermore, a (tax) banderole 16 can be attached to the bag 10 ( Fig. 1 ).

In the area of the pocket 11, the bag 10 has a front wall 17 and a rear wall 18. The opening can be closed several times by a zip lock 19 and by a peel-seal seam 20 preferably arranged below the zip lock 19. It is also conceivable that on one of the two closure means is dispensed with. At the side, the front wall 17 and the rear wall 18 are connected to one another by side seams 21. The bag flap 14 is formed as an extension of the rear wall 18.

The bag 10 is made from a continuous web 22 of film. A special feature is that the continuous material web 22 is folded in a first step in such a way that a double-layer, continuous material web 22 is formed.

In the present case, the material web 22 is completely double-layered (over the entire width of the material web 22). Variants are of course also conceivable where the web of material 22 is folded so that it is only partially formed with two layers. Solutions are also conceivable in which the material web has more than two layers.

The material web 22 is folded along a fold edge 23 which, in the case of the later bags 10, is arranged in the area of the bottom between the front wall 17 and the rear wall 18. A lower layer 24 or rear layer of the material web 22 accordingly forms the rear wall 18 of the pocket 11 and a rear wall 25 of the bag flap 14. An upper layer 26 or front layer of the material web 22 correspondingly forms the front wall 17 of the pocket 11 and a front wall 27 the bag flap 14.

The material web 22 is folded in a folding station 28, in which the material web 22, which is fed in a single layer in an upright plane, is folded onto itself with the help of a folding triangle 29 and, in conjunction with a horizontal deflection roller 30, is deflected into a horizontal plane ( Fig. 7 ). Two strips of glue 58, 59 for the peel-seal seam 20 are also brought to bear against one another.

In the next step, the two layers 24, 26 of the material web 22 are connected to one another or fixed to one another in a connecting station before a separating cut is made through the material web 22.

In the present case, the two layers 24, 26 are welded to one another by two roller sonotrodes 31, 32, whereby longitudinal seams 33, 34 are formed which run in the longitudinal direction of the material web 22. Of course, other methods can also be selected in order to connect the two layers 24, 26 to one another, for example by gluing.

In the present case, the longitudinal seams 33, 34 are arranged such that the layers 24, 26 are connected to one another in the area of an upper edge 35 of the bag flap 14 and in the area of a lower edge 36 or end of the bag flap 14.

A special feature with regard to the attachment of the longitudinal seams 33, 34 is that they do not extend continuously over the continuous material web 22, but end at a distance from the side seams 37 of the bag flap 14, which are attached in a later manufacturing step. In this way, ventilation openings 38 are formed between the longitudinal seams 33, 34 and the side seams 37 of the bag flap 14, through which air can escape from the space between the two layers 24, 26 can. Of course, it is also conceivable that the side seams 37 are applied first and the longitudinal seams 33, 34 only later.

After the two layers 24, 26 have been fixed to one another, a continuous, continuous separating cut 39 is formed on the continuous material web 22 in a cutting station. The separating cut 39, however, only affects a part of the layers of the material web 22, in the present case the upper layer 26 of the material web 22.

The severing cut 39 is made by means of a knife blade 40 which is arranged on a knife holder 41. So that the knife blade 40 can only cut the upper layer 26 of the material web 22, a separating sword 42 is arranged below the knife blade 40, which separates the two layers 24, 26 from one another.

In the present case, the separating sword 42 is designed as a plate-shaped organ which, in plan, extends in the transport direction of the material web 22 and transversely to this opposite the knife blade 40 ( Fig. 12 ).

If necessary, the knife blade 40 can also optionally be designed to be heated.

On both sides of the longitudinal axis of the separating cut 39, driven rollers 43 are arranged on both sides of the double-layer material web 22, which are intended to at least counteract any warping of the material web 22 when the separating cut 39 is formed. In addition, the separating cut 39 is formed at a small distance from the longitudinal seam 34, so that the risk of wrinkling in the material web 22 is at least counteracted.

In the next step, the zip lock 19 for the bags 10 is attached in the area of the separating cut 39 ( Fig. 8 ). For this purpose, a continuous strip of material 44 for the zip lock 19 is attached to the material web 22. The material strip 44 is fed via a deflection roller 45 and then divided into its two profile strips 46, 47, which are each attached to a layer 24, 26 of the material web 22. This is done in a known manner with the aid of sonotrodes 48. The two profile strips 46, 47 are then reunited with the aid of a pair of rollers 49.

In the next station, the side seams 21, 37 are made with the aid of corresponding sonotrodes 50. Then the zip lock 19 is opened again and then the lateral ends 51 of the zip lock for each bag 10 are welded. A sonotrode 52 is also used for this in the exemplary embodiment shown.

The bags 10 are then separated, filled and the zip lock 19 closed and the peel-seal seam 20 closed by ultrasonic sealing ( Fig. 9 ).

Another special feature of the in Figs. 1 to 3 The bag 10 shown consists of a further bag 53 which is formed in the double-layer bag flap 14. For this purpose, the bag flap 14 has an incision 54 on the outside, which serves as an opening to the pocket 53. An accessory, such as a packet 55 of cigarette paper, can be placed in the pocket 53 if required. The incision 54 is made on the other side of the material web 22 than the separating cut 39, namely the rear wall 25 of the bag flap 14. In this way, the accessory article can also be reached when the bag flap 14 is in the closed position. In addition, the inside or front wall 27 of the bag flap 14 remains intact and can thus be used when rolling the tobacco.

As in Fig. 1 As shown, the incision 54 can be arranged transversely or longitudinally on the bag flap 14, whereby a single incision 54 either transversely or longitudinally is usually sufficient. In the area of the lateral ends of the incision 54, the latter is curved in relation to the longitudinal direction of the latter, as a result of which further tearing of the rear wall 25 is at least counteracted.

The incisions 54 are made during the processing of the continuous material web 22. It is conceivable that the incisions 54 may be made before folding over, i.e. still in the area of the upright transport path ( Fig. 6 ). It is also conceivable that the incisions are made after folding over, for example after the two layers 24, 26 have been fixed to one another and before the separating cut 39 is made. It has been shown that a longitudinally directed incision 54 can be made better before the material web 22 is folded over, whereas a transversely directed incision 54 is better made later, namely before the separating cut 39 is made.

One way of making an incision 54 is in FIG Fig. 10 shown. The rear wall 25 and the front wall 27 of the bag flap 14 are spaced apart in the area of the vacuum chambers 56, 57 so that the incision 54 can be made in the rear wall 25 with the aid of a knife blade 58 without the front wall 27 being damaged.

Figures 4 and 5 show a variant of the bag 10 without an additional pocket 53 in the bag flap 14. The longitudinal seams 33, 34 have also been dispensed with, so that the rear wall 25 and the front wall 27 of the bag flap 14 are only connected via the side seams 37. In this case, the two layers 24, 26 must first be fixed to one another via one or more side seams 21, 37 before the separating cut 39 is formed.
