Wie aus den Fig. 1 bis 7 deutlich wird, weist die erfindungsgemäße Markise ein Markisentuch 1 mit einer in Ausfallrichtung A der Markise weisenden Seitenkante 2 und einer quer dazu verlaufenden Ausfallkante 3 auf. Letztere ist über einen nicht näher dargestellten Saum mit darin eingezogenem Keder im Ausfallprofil 4 der Markise verankert. An der Seitenkante 2 des Markisentuchs 1 ist ein Führungssteg 5 angeformt, der ähnlich einem Reißverschluss-Teil quer zu seiner Längsrichtung flexibel ausgeführt ist. Mit diesem Führungssteg 5 ist das Markisentuch 1 in der in Fig. 3 besonders deutlich zu erkennenden hinterschnittenen Nut 6 in der seitlichen Führungsschiene 7 verschiebbar geführt.
