Description
The invention relates to a packaging station with a forming device for converting a packaging material web, such as a leporello stack web, pulled from a supply of packaging material web, into a padding material, and a conveyor structure for receiving the pulled packaging material web and for feeding the pulled packaging material web into the shaping device. The packaging material is preferably paper, in particular waste paper.
In general, the invention is about conveying a web of packaging material, which is provided in a storage state, usually rolled up or in a leporello stack, without causing damage to a forming device in which the web of packaging material is formed into cushioning material that is used to fill intermediate transport spaces , for example in the mail order business. The paper web is being used more and more frequently and with preference in the mail order business due to its adaptable packaging volume with simple storage. The items to be shipped, which are shipped in shipping boxes, are repacked with the padding material. A packing station is to be set up at the location of the dispatch center and provided with a sufficiently large supply of packing material. In general, it is advantageous to create the packaging material as quickly as possible and with as little effort as possible for the person responsible for packaging, so that effective and user-friendly packaging is possible.
There is a need to increase packaging speed without compromising the quality of the cushioning material or the ergonomic working conditions of the operator at the packaging station. The packaging station is also to be equipped with such a large supply of packaging material that the logistics of supplying the packaging station with packaging material can only be carried out after long periods of time. At the very least, packaging material must be provided for a period of at least one day. When using leporello stacks of the packaging material web, a particularly suitable, space-saving storage system is provided, with the unfolding and safe feeding of packaging material into the feed device allowing high forces to act on the unfolded packaging material web. The speed of stripping the packaging material from the supply cannot easily be increased, especially when the packaging material used is waste paper, which has a greater tendency to tear than other packaging materials. Frequent switching on and off, i.e. jerky acceleration of the material web, can also lead to the packaging material being damaged, which means that the packaging production process has to be stopped and the packaging material web may have to be re-threaded into the forming device.
The object of the invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art, in particular to improve a packaging station in such a way that the speed when producing cushioning material is increased, while at the same time starting and ending the web material forming is implemented as safely and without damaging the packaging material as possible.
This object is solved by the features of claim 1.
After that, a packaging station is to be provided, which has a forming device for converting the packaging material web, such as the leporello stacking web, pulled from the supply of packaging material web, into a cushioning material and a conveyor structure for receiving the stripped web of packaging material and for feeding the stripped web of packaging material into the forming device. The forming device can be manually operated or motorized. A manual forming device is preferably provided, with the forming device according to the invention being explained in detail later. The conveyor structure comprises a conveyor track, which accompanies the packaging material web, in particular after the stripping of the packaging material from the packaging material supply, in particular the unfolding of the leporello stacking track, which receives the packaging material web and towards the conveyor structure, in that the packaging material web preferably lies flat on the front track. According to the invention, the conveyor track extends from a receptacle of the conveyor structure, which is to be understood in particular as the first flat receiving point after the packaging material web has been drawn off from the supply. The peeled off packaging material web is produced as soon as the packaging material web is unfolded, for example in the case of a leporello stack, or in the case of a paper web roll the packaging material web is unwound flat from the outside of the paper web roll. It is clear that the preferred packaging material is paper, especially waste paper. Furthermore, the conveyor track can have a minimum length up to the forming device, which corresponds to at least twice the width of the material web, preferably three or four times the width of the material web, so that the material web can be conveyed sufficiently stably and quietly for the forming process before it ends in the forming device . The inventors found that a conveyor track, in contrast to guiding the material web from deflection rollers to the forming device, provides a stabilizing guiding effect, which is why it can be subjected to high speeds and high acceleration forces, even with waste paper that tends to tear To promote packaging material web towards the forming device. The full-surface guide support along the conveyor track, supported by the formation of air cushions and layers of air or air underpressure areas between the packaging material web and the sliding support of the conveyor track, the desired "sticking effect" and guiding calming of the packaging material web is achieved, especially immediately before it enters the forming device. The air layer that can form between the packaging material web and the conveyor web can also mean that the packaging material web does not come into constant, full-surface, direct contact with the conveyor web, especially when driving at higher conveyor speeds, but it has been shown that the dynamic pressure conditions in the layer of air between the packaging material web and the conveyor web implies a stabilizing guidance as well as air turbulence avoids that can be generated by promoting the packaging material web itself or by external movement.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the conveyor track is formed by a plate or by a grid, in particular with a planar, preferably concave sliding support, in particular a sliding surface, facing the packaging material web. A conveyor track designed in this way has proven to be particularly advantageous in avoiding disruptive external influences when conveying the packaging material web, in particular at higher speeds and with greater acceleration forces. Preferably, the sliding support is designed in a concave manner, with the accommodation of the conveyor track being formed in particular by an essentially rectilinear edge which extends essentially perpendicularly to the conveying direction. Not to be neglected is the arrangement of the conveyor track with regard to the influence of gravity, which helps to press the packaging material web onto the conveyor track.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, no further mechanical or structural devices need to be provided along the conveying track to the forming device in order to direct or direct forces onto the packaging material web during conveying in the conveying direction along the conveying track. Solely the force of gravity and the tensile conveying force, which pulls the packaging material from the supply of packaging material in the conveying direction, should preferably be the only operating forces acting on the web of packaging material, particularly as soon as it moves along the conveying path in the conveying direction. The exception is a type of fallback stopper that uses a non-return valve to prevent the packaging material web from falling back against the conveying direction towards the packaging material web supply when the operator has torn off the padding material at the discharge end of the forming device. When using motorized forming devices, such a fallback stopper is obsolete.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the receptacle for the conveyor track is formed by an essentially rectilinear edge that extends essentially perpendicularly to the conveying direction. In this way, it is ensured that the web of packaging material safely reaches the conveyor web without major frictional forces acting on the web of packaging material when it enters the conveyor web. The straight edge can, for example, be knurled be or be bent in some other way to avoid damaging the packaging material web.
Preferably, no lateral boundary walls are provided along the plate-shaped conveyor track; the plate-like conveyor track ends at the plate edge extending in the conveying direction, without vertically protruding edge sections being attached there.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a flat, preferably concave, sliding support of the conveyor track comprises a sliding support width of at least one or one and a half web width(s) of the packaging material web and/or a sliding support length of at least two or three web widths. It has been shown that this minimum length is sufficient to calm the packaging material web, especially at high conveying speeds after the turbulence of the removal, in particular the unfolding, from the packaging material supply, so that the packaging material web is fed in a precisely positioned, stable manner from the conveyor track into the forming device .
In a further development of the invention, the conveyor track comprises the form of a bridge arch connecting the supply of packaging material web to the forming device. The arched conveyor track is concave or smooth on the sliding support, which faces the packaging material web, so that the sliding friction of the packaging material web on the sliding support is as low as possible. Preferably, the slide pad is coated with a low-friction material.
The radius of curvature of the radius of the bridge arch is greater than the track width, preferably greater than twice the track width, in particular greater than 50 cm or 100 cm, particularly in the course of the conveyor track from the receptacle to the forming device. The exact radius of curvature depends on the further circumstances of the dimensioning of the packaging material web. The wider the web of packaging material, the greater the radius of curvature of the conveyor web in the form of a bridge arch.
Von dem Hochpunkt, in Förderrichtung gesehen, fällt die Förderbahn hin zur Umformvorrichtung ab.Preferably, the incline of the bridge arch decreases from the receptacle to the forming device, in particular up to a transfer to the forming device, preferably continuously, in particular up to a high point of the conveyor track. From the high point, viewed in the conveying direction, the conveying track falls towards the forming device.
According to the invention, a tangential direction at the receptacle of the concave conveyor track, in particular the arch of the bridge, makes an angle of less than 20°, 15° or 10° with respect to the vertical direction. The angle can preferably be greater than 0°, 1° or 5°.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a channel-shaped forming device connects directly to the conveyor track, such as the conveyor track plate or the conveyor track grid, with the end of the conveyor track lying in the conveying direction merging into a channel bottom of the channel-shaped forming device. The channel-shaped forming device has essentially vertical side walls and a ceiling area which is essentially parallel and congruent to the channel bottom and has the same or a similar radius of curvature. The radii of curvature of the duct base and ceiling area can be different, as will be explained later with regard to the duct cross-section.
The channel-shaped forming device preferably comprises a concave, planar channel bottom surface, which is preferably plate-shaped. The channel bottom surface has a radius of curvature which corresponds in particular to that of the conveyor track, in particular when the radius of curvature of the conveyor track is constant in the conveying direction.
Additionally or alternatively, a width (in the transverse conveying direction) of the channel cross-section can in particular continuously decrease along the conveying direction towards a discharge opening of the channel-shaped shaping device in order to form a tapering channel shape. The height of the channel cross-section can in particular increase continuously along the conveying direction from the channel inlet to the channel outlet, which is achieved, for example, by reducing the radius of curvature of the channel cover. The increase in channel height is significantly smaller than the decrease in channel width in the conveying direction.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the forming device has a tapering duct which includes a discharge opening which is formed at the narrowest point of the duct. The tapering channel channel causes the deformation of the packaging material web, which is compressed in the longitudinal direction of the tapering in the transverse direction of the conveyor. The forming of the packaging material web is exclusively realized by the duct walls in cooperation with the duct ceiling and the duct floor.
The conveyor track is preferably dimensioned in such a way that after passing the receptacle, the packaging material web can rest in the transverse direction of the conveyor along its entire web width. For this purpose, the conveyor track preferably has a minimum conveyor track width of at least one material web width, preferably at least 1.5 times the material web width.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the discharge direction of the cushioning material leaving the shaping device, defined by the discharge opening of the shaping device, is inclined relative to the vertical (gravitational direction) in such a way that the cushioning material that leaves the shaping device at the discharge opening is directed downwards relative to the horizontal, in particular at an angle of inclination of more than 20° or 30° from the horizontal. The entire conveyor track structure, or at least a large part of the conveyor track structure, (in the direction of gravity) can be located above the discharge opening, so that the packaging material, in particular after a high point of the conveyor track (in the conveying direction), is under the influence of the weight before and when it enters the forming device towards the discharge opening is driven in a supportive manner. By a majority of the web is meant that at least 50% of the web is above the discharge opening, it being preferred that substantially all of the web is above the discharge opening. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the receptacle lies essentially at the same vertical height as the discharge opening, the conveying track or the conveying path of the forming device to the discharge opening forming an arcuate bridge structure between the two ends defined by the receptacle and the discharge opening. In this way, the packaging material web is also prevented from slipping back, in particular out of the forming device, when a padding material is torn off. The conveying path superstructure, which lies above the discharge opening, ensures stability of the packaging material on the way into the forming device, in particular during conveying operation and/or when conveying is stopped.
With the invention, a safe and injury-free unfolding of the packaging material web and introduction of the unfolded leporello paper web material into the packaging station, namely along the conveyor structure, is achieved, even if inexperienced operating personnel for example, the packaging material is operated jerkily or too quickly or is constantly operated at varying pulling speeds, for example by motor-driven packaging material machines. With the invention, damage-free feeding due to the conveying structure in the forming direction is achieved, particularly when the packaging material web is pulled off the leporello stack manually and/or motor-driven.
Furthermore, the conveying resistance of the packaging material web is kept as low as possible when it is fed in the forming direction, so that the operator has to exert as little force as necessary to pull the packaging material into the forming device, to form the packaging material and to tear it off.
Further advantageous aspects are specified in the subclaims.

According to the packaging station 1 shown in operation, a
The height of the
The unfolded
The plate-shaped
The channel-shaped forming

To load the packaging station 1, the operator goes to the packaging
After tearing off, in particular at the triangular tear-
At the start of the next cushioning material production, the operator grips the tear-off end of the
It was shown that even at high speeds, the web of packaging material can be reliably fed and formed.
