Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for handling stacks of superposed print carriers made of packaging material, in particular magazine for bands, coupons or the like, preferably within a device for the production of packs for cigarettes, with an at least partially limited by preferably stationary walls, in particular upright, Shaft for receiving the stack, according to the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a corresponding method.
- Such devices are known, for example, in practice in the form of magazines for stacks of banderols for cigarette packs in various embodiments.
- the banderoles are fed from above into an upright slot of the magazine and taken from the bottom of this individually and fed to a cigarette pack and attached to this.
- DE 10 2006 001 800 A1 shows such a solution.
- the problem here is the one hand, the orientation of the bands in the shaft as well as the removal in the area of the bottom thereof.
- To reliably isolate the bands it is often necessary to reduce the height of the stack in order to reduce the friction between the superimposed bands. Otherwise, there is a risk that several print media taken at once from the stack and there are disruptions in subsequent processing.
- With regard to the orientation of the bands it should be noted that these have partly different dimensions due to manual processing. In order to ensure a positionally accurate transfer to the cigarette packs is therefore an alignment of the bands essential.
- EP 1 062 883 A1 a device for packaging cigarettes is known. Therein it is proposed to suck tobacco particles in different area of the device in order to avoid disturbances of the device.
- the invention is based on the object of further developing the devices and methods known from the prior art, in particular with regard to avoiding the above-mentioned problems.
- the shaft has at least one suction device, which acts in regions on the stack for holding and / or aligning the print carrier on the wall by means of negative pressure.
- the suction device is associated with a wall of the shaft, in particular such that in the wall at least one opening is provided which is in communication with a vacuum source and via which the stack in the region of the opening with a Negative pressure can be acted upon.
- the wall has two spaced-apart suction devices, which are alternately actuated by means of a control. In this way, the stack can be held at different heights and aligned with appropriate relief of the underlying stack.
- the print carrier are preferably arranged lying flat on each other, so that edges of the print carrier are facing at least one wall of the shaft, whereby the suction effect of the suction device acts on the edge of the print carrier.
- the shaft has at least two walls arranged transversely to one another and that at least one suction device is provided on both walls. This solution allows alignment of the stack in two directions.
- a method for achieving the object mentioned has the features of claim 6. It is therefore provided that the print carrier of the stack at least partially held and / or aligned by the action of a negative pressure via a suction device associated with the wall to the corresponding print carrier on the wall.
- the wall has a plurality of suction devices which are operated alternately.
- the Fig. 1 to 6 The apparatus shown is part of a device for producing packaging for cigarettes. Specifically, it is in the present case to the feeding and placing of print media 11 on the packs 10th
- Fig. 1 shows, the cuboidal packs 10 are lying flat and with a narrow side surface in the conveying direction facing continuously transported on a conveyor belt 12 in the conveying direction according to arrow 13.
- the transport belt 12 has in this embodiment on the top driver 14, which take the packs 10 back.
- the apparatus 15 can according to DE 10 2006 001 800 A1 the applicant, which is made for the purpose of fully disclosing the invention in its entirety the subject of the present description.
- the print carrier 11 are removed from a magazine 16. This purpose, a working below the magazine 16 removal member 17.
- the removal member 17 is formed as a continuously rotating removal roller. Of the removal member 17, the print carrier 11 reach individually to the apparatus 15 for placing the print carrier 11 to the packs 10th
- the print carriers 11 may preferably be control or closure banderoles of a cigarette pack. But also other blanks of thin paper or other packaging material are conceivable in principle, such as coupons or the like as a package addition.
- the print carrier 11 are arranged in the magazine 16 flat one above the other to form a stack 18. At the bottom of the stack 18, the print carrier 11 are removed by the removal member 17 from the magazine 16 and thereby isolated.
- a first particularity of the magazine 16 relates to measures for improved removal and alignment of the print carrier 11.
- the magazine 16 has for this purpose a shaft 19 for receiving the stack 18 of printing media 11.
- the shaft 19 is limited by walls 20 of the magazine or by guides 21st
- the cross-sectional dimensions of the shaft 19 are slightly larger than the dimensions of the printing carrier 11, so that they are moved by their own weight in the upright magazine 16 or shaft 19 down to the removal member 17.
- the print carrier 11 can be held at certain locations in the magazine 16. This is done by means of negative pressure, ie by partially pressurized the print carrier 11 of the stack 18 with suction. It has been found that the pressure carriers 11 are placed tightly against each other by the application of negative pressure and can be held in the shaft 19. In this way, a relief of the underlying (partial) stack 18 can be achieved, whereby the proper removal of the print carrier 11 is facilitated by means of the removal member 17.
- print carrier 11 can be aligned by the application of negative pressure or suction air in the shaft 19 by being moved by the Sauglauft or the negative pressure against one of the boundaries of the shaft 19.
- the thus aligned print carrier 11 can be processed better, so that as a result the positioning of the print carrier 11 is improved on the package 10.
- the loading of the print carrier 11 with vacuum or suction air is solved so that an upright wall 20 of the magazine 16 has an opening 22 through which the print carrier 11 can be subjected to a negative pressure. Accordingly, a vacuum line 23 is connected to the opening 22, which is in communication with a vacuum unit, not shown.
- the opening 22 in the wall 20 opens into a plurality of slot-like recesses 24.
- the recesses 24 are aligned with the longitudinal direction parallel to the conveying direction of the print carrier 11 in the shaft 19 and distributed over the width of the wall 20. Due to the arrangement of the recesses 24 in the upright wall 20, air can be sucked out between the print carriers 11 to form a compacted area of the stack 18, which can then be held on the wall 20 by the negative pressure.
- the suction device 25 For reasons of linguistic simplification, the above-described device for impinging parts of the stack 18 with suction air is referred to below as the suction device 25. It is understood that the suction device 25 need not be designed exclusively as described above. Also conceivable are constructive alternative solutions which achieve the same or a comparable effect.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 how out FIGS. 2 and 3 removable, two suction devices 25 are arranged one above the other in the region of the wall 20.
- the suction devices 25 are operated alternately, so that the stack 18 is held and aligned in the region of the upper or in the region of the lower suction device 25.
- the upper suction device 25 is activated and the lower suction device 25 is deactivated.
- the upper suction device 25 is deactivated and the lower suction device 25 is activated. It has been found that in this way a reliable operation of the device is possible.
- more than two superposed at a distance suction devices 25 In the same way conceivable, of course, more than two superposed at a distance suction devices 25. It is conceivable, for example, an adjustment of the number of suction devices 24 to the height of the magazine 16th
- only one suction device 25 can be arranged in the region of the wall 20.
- the suction device 25 is operated so that the stack 18 is not completely held on the wall 20, but that some slippage is allowed. This can be achieved by an appropriate choice of the strength of the negative pressure. Since such control depends on many factors, such as stack height, print carrier thickness and weight, friction coefficient of the print carrier, etc., the solution with multiple suction means 25 which alternately hold the stack 18 to the wall 20 is preferred.
- Another solution for operating a magazine 16 with only one suction device 25 in the region of a wall 20 may be that the suction device 25 is switched on and off at short intervals.
- the negative pressure should in each case be so strong that the stack 18 is held in each case in regions on the wall 20.
- this mode of operation is of course also possible with a plurality of suction devices 25.
- the one or more suction devices 25 are not only on one wall 20 but also on another transverse wall 20 of the magazine 16. In this way, the stack 18 can be aligned in two directions on two walls 20 extending transversely to one another. Such a solution is in Fig. 4 shown.
- the shaft 19 is bounded by three walls 20 which are arranged in cross-section U-shaped. In the area of a front side is the shaft 19 open and is limited only in sections by the pivotable guides 21. By virtue of the fact that the guides 21 are pivotable, the contents of the stack 18 can be accessed in the event of interference by the open front side of the shaft 19. It is conceivable, of course, another construction of the shaft 19.
- the conveyor 26 ends at a distance laterally and above the magazine 16. In the area above the wall 20 of the magazine 16 reach the print carrier 11 in the work area of a rotationally driven conveyor 28, which cooperates with another co-rotating conveyor 29 and the print carrier 11 from above in the magazine 16 promotes.
- the first conveying means 28 is a rotationally driven conveying roller, preferably in the form of a rubber roller, which cooperates with the second conveying means 29 in the form of a roller.
- the arrangement of the conveyor roller and the roller above the wall 20, the print carrier 11 are reliably stored on the stack 18 in the magazine 16.
- Another feature is the drive of the conveyor 28.
- the conveyor 28 and the conveyor roller is coupled to the drive for the toothed belt 27.
- the guide wheel 30 of the in Fig. 5 lower toothed belt 27 is coupled to a gear 31.
- the gear 31 in turn meshes with a second gear 32 that is coupled to the conveyor roller.
- guide wheel 30 and gear 31, as well as gear 32 and feed roller can each be mounted on common axes 49, 50.
- Another special feature relates to the adjustment of the contact pressure of the two conveying means 28, 29.
- the conveyor roller 28 is mounted on a pivot arm 33 which is biased by a spring 34 and a spring means.
- the spring means By adjusting the spring means the contact pressure of the rubber roller can be adjusted on the follower role.
- the measuring device 35 has a sensor 36 which rests on the top of the stack 18.
- the sensor 36 is pivotally mounted in the present case about an axis 37, so that the sensor 36 rests on top of the stack 18 in the manner of a float.
- the sensor 36 is also coupled to a position sensor 38, which detects the position of the sensor 36 and thus the height of the stack 18.
- Fig. 5 two positions of the sensor 36 are shown in solid and dashed lines for the purpose of illustration.
- the sensor 36 is in the present case a plate-like structure that has a central recess 39 for weight reasons.
- An underside 40 of the sensor 36 is rounded in the direction of the two conveying means 28,29 so that the print carrier 11 can be pushed under the sensor 36.
- the feed or conveying speed of the conveyor 26 is regulated.
- the regulation can preferably be continuous. It is also conceivable grading the conveying speed in several discrete steps.
- an upper portion 41 of the wall 20 is resiliently mounted, for example via a spring plate 42 on the wall 20.
- This section 41 is vibrated to the Print carrier 11 in this Align area.
- a rubber buffer 43 which is mounted on an axle 44.
- the axis 44 passes through a coil 45 and is provided on the back with a plate-like end piece 46. Between the rear end of the coil 45 and the end piece 46, a spring 47 is also positioned on the axis 44. In this way, an axial reciprocating movement of the rubber buffer 43 is generated which causes the upper portion 41 of the wall 20 to vibrate.
- the coil 45 is mounted on the wall 20 via a support arm 48.

Description
The invention relates to a device for handling stacks of superposed print carriers made of packaging material, in particular magazine for bands, coupons or the like, preferably within a device for the production of packs for cigarettes, with an at least partially limited by preferably stationary walls, in particular upright, Shaft for receiving the stack, according to the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a corresponding method.
The problem here is the one hand, the orientation of the bands in the shaft as well as the removal in the area of the bottom thereof. To reliably isolate the bands, it is often necessary to reduce the height of the stack in order to reduce the friction between the superimposed bands. Otherwise, there is a risk that several print media taken at once from the stack and there are disruptions in subsequent processing. With regard to the orientation of the bands, it should be noted that these have partly different dimensions due to manual processing. In order to ensure a positionally accurate transfer to the cigarette packs is therefore an alignment of the bands essential.

On this basis, the invention is based on the object of further developing the devices and methods known from the prior art, in particular with regard to avoiding the above-mentioned problems.
An apparatus for solving the problem has the features of claim 1. It is therefore provided that the shaft has at least one suction device, which acts in regions on the stack for holding and / or aligning the print carrier on the wall by means of negative pressure.
It has surprisingly been found that the pressurization of the stack with negative pressure in the manner described results in the air being sucked out between the print carriers and the stack being compressed in this area. Furthermore, the print carrier are pulled against the wall and aligned in this way on the wall. In addition, the area of the stack, which is detected by the negative pressure, is held against the wall, so that the area of the stack underneath is relieved, which facilitates the proper separation of the print carriers from the stack. Also in this way several of the problems existing in the prior art are solved.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that the suction device is associated with a wall of the shaft, in particular such that in the wall at least one opening is provided which is in communication with a vacuum source and via which the stack in the region of the opening with a Negative pressure can be acted upon.
An advantageous further development of the invention provides that the wall has two spaced-apart suction devices, which are alternately actuated by means of a control. In this way, the stack can be held at different heights and aligned with appropriate relief of the underlying stack.
In the stack, the print carrier are preferably arranged lying flat on each other, so that edges of the print carrier are facing at least one wall of the shaft, whereby the suction effect of the suction device acts on the edge of the print carrier.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that the shaft has at least two walls arranged transversely to one another and that at least one suction device is provided on both walls. This solution allows alignment of the stack in two directions.
A method for achieving the object mentioned has the features of claim 6. It is therefore provided that the print carrier of the stack at least partially held and / or aligned by the action of a negative pressure via a suction device associated with the wall to the corresponding print carrier on the wall.
According to a preferred development of the method according to the invention, the wall has a plurality of suction devices which are operated alternately.

The
The
A first particularity of the
In order to prevent that the
Another advantage of this measure is in addition that the
Structurally, the loading of the
In the preferred embodiment shown, the
For reasons of linguistic simplification, the above-described device for impinging parts of the

Alternatively, only one
Another solution for operating a
In the present embodiment, the
- The supply of the
print carrier 11 to themagazine 16 via a conveyor 26th - The
conveyor 26 is formed in the present case by twotoothed belt 27 between the facing conveyor belts theprint carrier 11 of the top of themagazine 16 are conveyed. Theconveyor 26 may also be constructed in other ways.
The
In the present case, the first conveying
Another special feature relates to the adjustment of the contact pressure of the two conveying
In
In accordance with the degree of filling of the
By adjusting the conveying speed, ie gradual increase or decrease depending on the degree of filling of the
Another feature concerns measures for aligning the
It is understood that the specific features described above can be cumulative and / or implemented as an alternative.
