Description

Such containers with snap-on lids are widely known and generally have to meet a variety of requirements. The invention is based on the object of creating a container with a lid which is comparatively easy to open by adults but which provides increased protection against access by children, in particular small children.

The object is achieved by a container with a lid according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments result from the subclaims.

According to the invention, the lid extension is at least partially, preferably completely, covered on the outside by a tamper-evident closure arranged on the container apron, with removal or change in position of the tamper-evident closure, for example by pivoting or moving the same, the extension is accessible for its actuation. According to the invention, the cover 10 has at least one extension 13 which extends outside the side wall 2 of the container 1 and which extends below the lower edge of the cover 12 and which extends through the circumferential skirt 5. For this purpose, the apron has a passage opening 5C, which is penetrated by the extension 13. The passage opening 5C is arranged in the essentially horizontally extending region 5A of the apron, which is particularly advantageous for the implementation of the invention, without being limited to this. The extension 13 and the container 1 have corresponding fastening means 14 ( Figure 3 ), which is independent of the locking means for fixing the container on the lid, that is the locking edges 4 and 11, releasable. The fastening means can also be actuated several times after the first opening of the container, that is to say they can be reversibly engaged with one another again after opening the container, which is preferably done automatically when the lid is snapped onto the container or is accomplished by snapping on. Generally within the scope of the invention, the "fixing of the cover to the container" is understood in particular in such a way that the cover is held on the container as intended and, for example, securely closes the container even with a certain external force - this is also the case if the Fasteners between the extension and the container are loosened or missing in a reference container. Through the inventive design of the Container is increased child safety of the container, the container being relatively easy to release by an intended operator and, for example, also easily closed by simply snapping the lid onto the container in an automatic filling station if necessary.

The container 1 also has a tamper-evident closure 6, which is designed here as a tamper-evident tab, which is connected to the container, more precisely the apron 5, by means of connections which are destroyed when the tamper-evident closure is opened. To open the container, the tamper-evident closure is preferably changed completely or, if necessary, only in order to allow an attack on the lid extension 13 to open the container, i.e. to loosen the fastening means between the extension and the container and then, as a rule, in a further subsequent step, the lid to be able to unlatch from the container, as a result of which the locking edges 4 and 11 of the container and the cover disengage from one another. The tamper-evident closure 6 covers the lid extension 13 on the outside, preferably completely. The tamper-evident closure 6 is integrally formed on the container apron 5, possibly also on another part of the container. The tamper-evident seal, in particular if it is designed as a flap as in the exemplary embodiment, is integrated in the apron 5, with an open recess 5d being formed on the container apron when the tamper-evident seal 6 is removed or changed, through which the extension 13 can be attacked manually from below and can be actuated. The apron 5 overlaps the tamper-evident closure 6 on the top, protecting it.

Furthermore, the apron, for example due to the above-mentioned configuration, represents a limitation for the change in position of the lid extension in relation to that for the solution the fastening means between the extension and the container and / or in relation to the movement of the extension 13 required for unlatching the locking edges 4 and 11. Thus, in the container according to the exemplary embodiment, the cover extension is to be pivoted in a direction radially outward and upward (arrow), whereby this pivoting movement is limited by the apron, in the exemplary embodiment by the portion of the apron which overlaps the tamper-evident closure on the top.

According to Figure 3 as a cross-section at the level of the lid extension, the fastening means of the lid extension 13 on the container 1 are designed as locking means, namely by corresponding locking projections 14A and 14B on the extension and container. The locking projection 14A of the lid extension 13 protrudes radially inward towards the container. A collar 7, more precisely its lower edge 7A, which is formed underneath by the locking projection 14A, serves here as the locking projection 14B of the container. The lid can be fixed by simply snapping it onto the container, the corresponding fastening means also locking together. The collar 7 is designed here as a collar that runs all the way around the container and at the same time stiffens the container side wall; if necessary, the collar can also have a plurality of partial regions spaced apart from one another in the container circumferential direction or can be designed only as a local projection. According to the exemplary embodiment, the lid also lies on the outside of the collar in the flange-shaped region 10C, preferably over the entire container circumference, as a result of which the lid is stabilized and the fastening means between the lid extension and the container are prevented from being relieved or protected when external force is exerted on the lid rim.

The lid extension 13 has a radially outward direction bulging or projecting area 13C, here as a gradation, which engages under the apron 5 when the extension is released to loosen the fastening means 14. In the end region or with maximum deflection or pivoting of the extension in the direction of its open position, the bulging region 13C then engages under the apron 5 on the upper edge 5e of the recess 5d, as a result of which the extension and the apron interlock. This prevents the extension and thus also the corresponding lid area from moving vertically upwards, which is required to open the lid. This significantly increases the child's safety of the container. The extension must therefore be positioned in an intermediate position between the starting position and the stop on the apron in order to move the extension upwards and thus to be able to unlatch the locking means for fixing the container to the lid, here the locking edges 4 and 11. In the middle pivoting position of the extension, the latching means 4 and 11 between the lid and the container are also already released initially, which facilitates an upward displacement and thus further decoupling of the latching edges 4, 11 for the complete release of the lid from the container.

To facilitate the intended opening of the container, the latching edge 11 of the lid is weakened at the level of the extension 13 or its fastening means, more precisely according to the exemplary embodiment ( Figure 3 ) removed in area 11A (see accordingly Fig. 6 ). If necessary, this can alternatively or additionally also be provided for the latching edge of the container. The weakening or interruption of the latching edge 11 extends (slightly) beyond the circumferential extent of the lid extension 13, as a result of which opening the container is made easier by actuating the extension 13. If necessary, a corresponding transition area is provided at the locking edge.

The fastening means on the lid extension and container are spaced apart from one another with respect to the container height by the latching edges 4, 11 of the lid and container with respect to the container height. The latching edge of the container is arranged above the collar 7, more precisely on or in the area of the upper edge of the container.

The lid lies with an inner flange 16, which merges into the inner surface 17 of the lid, sealingly against the inner wall of the container. The lid has a circumferential U-shaped channel 18, which receives the upper edge of the container, the lid extension being formed on the outer flange of the channel. The lid has a step offset 19 on its flange surrounding the container on the outside and on the outside, which is arranged above the apron and above the collar when the lid is attached. On the inner surface of the lid, which closes the container opening and extends radially to the edge of the container, the lid has a plurality of stiffening projections 20 distributed over the circumference of the lid.

The Figures 4-6 show a modification of an inventive container with the lid of the Figures 1-3 , whereby reference is made in full to these statements and only the differences are emphasized below. Each corresponding to the feature of the above embodiment are provided with 'apostrophe', and vice versa. The features described for the following example can also be implemented in each case in a container of the first embodiment.

The container 1 'is designed according to the embodiment as a rectangular container, without being limited to this. The arrangement of the two extensions 13 ', 13 "increases the child safety of the container considerably, but that of the container is still relatively easy to open by an authorized operator. According to a first variant, the two extensions 13', 13" can be operated manually in succession are, whereby when releasing the respective fastening means between the extension and the container, which can be designed in accordance with the fastening means of the first embodiment, the respective extension is then preferably shifted upwards in the direction of the upper container edge, around the locking edges 4 ', 11' between the container and decouple the cover in the area of the respective extension. After loosening and preferably shifting the first extension, the second extension can then be actuated, the cover area between the two extensions and the cover as a whole being detached from the container when the second extension is shifted vertically upward. The successive actuation of the two extensions 13 ', 13 "is made possible in particular by a certain flexibility of the cover. According to another variant, the two extensions 13', 13" Press simultaneously to release the lid from the container. For this purpose, the cover has a higher rigidity than after the first modification. The requirement for simultaneous actuation of the two extensions 13 ', 13 "once again significantly increases the child safety of the container.

Figure 7 shows an alternative embodiment of the lid extension or the fastening means for releasably fixing the lid extension on the container.
