Figur 1 zeigt die erfindungsgemäße Beschichtungsvorrichtung 7, die einen Beschichtungskopf 4 aufweist, mit dem ein Beschichtungsmittel beispielsweise ein Lack insbesondere ein Wasserlack auf eine Kante 3 eines Werkstücks 1 aufgetragen wird. Dazu bewegt sich das Werkstück 1 in der durch den Pfeil 5 angezeigten Richtung, hier von links nach rechts. Der Beschichtungskopf weist mindestens eine Düse auf, mit der das Beschichtungsmittel auf die zu beschichtende Kante aufgetragen wird. Vorzugsweise weist der Beschichtungskopf 4 darüber hinaus ein Mittel auf, mit dem ein Luftstrom aus der Umgebung durch einen Spalt zwischen Werkstück und Beschichtungskopf in den Beschichtungskopf hinein erzeugt werden kann. Beispielsweise handelt es sich bei dem Mittel um einen Unterdruck relativ zu dem Umgebungsdruck. Mit dem Luftstrom wird zu viel aufgetragenes Beschichtungsmittel wieder von dem Werkstück abgetragen, bzw. die Beschichtung vergleichmäßigt. Erfindungsgemäß weist die Beschichtungsvorrichtung nun mindestens ein, hier zwei Verlängerungsmittel 2 auf, die sich jeweils unmittelbar an die zu beschichtende Kante anschließen und diese virtuell verlängern und die gemeinsam mit dem Werkstück durch den Beschichtungskopf transportiert werden. Jedes Verlängerungsmittel wird vor dem Beschichten mit dem Werkstück so in Kontakt gebracht, dass vorzugsweise, wenn überhaupt, nur ein sehr geringer Spalt zwischen dem Werkstück und dem Verlängerungsmittel vorhanden ist. Dazu wird jedes Verlängerungsmittel 2 relativ zu dem Werkstück 1 beschleunigt, bzw. abgebremst. Während des Beschichtens insbesondere des Bereichs der Kante, der sich an das Verlängerungsmittel anschließt, weisen das Verlängerungsmittel 2 und das Werkstück 1 dieselbe Geschwindigkeit, bzw. dieselbe Bewegungsrichtung auf. Nachdem die Kante 3 beschichtet worden ist, werden die Verlängerungsmittel 2 wieder von dem Werkstück 1 entfernt und die Beschichtung kann dabei oder danach getrocknet werden. Claims (10)

  1.
