From the US 6,270,120 B1 is a binding element for embracing congruent aligned and interconnected sides known. This binding element forms a spine of a document stack. US 6 270 120 B1 discloses a book block for a book-type document having a plurality of superimposed data pages aligned with one another and connected to each other to form a book block spine, an outer side of the upper and lower data pages engaging a staple element which engages around the book block spine. US 6 270 120 B1 does not disclose that the data pages are joined together along a folded edge.

From the DE 198 26 539 A1 Furthermore, a binding element for binding a document consisting of loose sheets of documents is known.

From the DE 10 2005 010 364 A1 a book-type document is known which comprises a book cover with a book block. The book block consists of several data pages and a header sewn together. To attach the book block in the book cover, the attachment is glued to the book cover. Between the book cover and the attachment a support is provided, which is also sewn to the data pages. This carrier serves to increase the mechanical stability, in particular against the tearing of the seam, and can accommodate a data carrier as a security feature. In these book-like documents, the book cover is stiff by a book cover. If no book cover is provided, this book cover itself is stiff to securely hold the book block.

Furthermore, book-like documents, in particular passport books, are known, which have a book cover which is flexurally elastic and forms a so-called soft cover. Such book-like documents usually show a poor Aufsperrverhalten, that is, the book-like document after a single opening does not close again completely, but a book cover or a half of the book cover stands up. This Aufsperrverhalten deteriorated especially when the fold area of the book cover has been overstretched.

The invention has for its object to propose a book block and a book-like document with a book block, whereby the Aufsperrverhalten is improved.

This object is achieved by a book block for a book-type document, in particular value and / or security document, in which the book block is held with a plurality of superimposed pages with a clamping element in a folded arrangement, wherein the clamping element in each case on an outer side of the upper and bottom data page or a header attacks and embraces the book block back, wherein by the impact of individual data pages (18) or the attachment (14) restoring forces in the clamping element (32) are generated, so that when you release the data pages (18) or the intent (14 ) is closed again due to this restoring force of the book block (28) and converted into a folded arrangement (29). Such a clamping element is elastically yielding, whereby a single data page is opened. By opening individual pages of data or the attachment restoring forces are generated in the clamp element, so that when you release the data pages or intent on the basis of this restoring force of the book block is closed again and converted into a folded arrangement.

Preferably, the clamping element is U-shaped or C-shaped and is in each case with at least a portion of the respective leg on the outside of the upper and lower data page or intent on. By the U-shaped or C-shaped configuration of the clip element a simple structural design is given, on the one hand allows unfolding of the individual data pages and on the other hand causes after the release of the data pages, a closure of the book block, without any deformation or overstretching of the clip element takes place.

The clamping element preferably has between the free, applied to the outsides of the data pages or the intent thighs at least in sections, a closed back section. The restoring force can be determined by the introduction of individual or a plurality of recesses or windows in the back section or the embodiment of a continuously closed back section without additional elements being additionally provided on the clip element. Thereby, a simple adaptation to different numbers of data pages for the generation of a sufficient restoring force to achieve the desired Aufsperrverhaltens be set.

A further advantageous embodiment of the U-shaped or C-shaped clamping element provides that between the legs of a curved, in particular arcuate, or a flat back portion is formed. With a plurality of superimposed data pages, which are formed as double pages and lie in a folded arrangement to form a folded edge, a circular arc-shaped back portion is preferably provided, since this back portion is adaptable to the curvature of the outermost data pages or the intent of the folded arrangement. Alternatively, a plurality of superimposed data pages may be provided in the form of a block in which the individual data pages are aligned congruent with one side edge and arranged one above the other and in particular along the end edges gluing, welding or lamination. In such a case, a flat back portion may be provided, on which the legs may be arranged at right angles thereto and abut the respective outer sides of the outer data pages or the header.

Preferably, the legs are over the entire surface, in particular as a continuous strip-shaped band formed.

An alternative embodiment of the legs provides that they are formed of several individual fingers. As a result, in turn, the restoring force can be easily adjusted and adjusted by the individual fingers can be determined with regard to their width and / or their length and / or the number along a spine.

The clip element preferably extends completely along the spine of the book and covers the adjoining edge region of the data pages. Thus, a closed spine can be created by the stapling element.

A simple production of the clamping element is made possible by the provision of a full-surface band-shaped material, from which the clamping element is made. This can be cut out in a simple manner or - if the strip-shaped material has the width or length of the clip element - be cut to length, so that a subsequent bend in a U-shaped or C-shaped contour is sufficient to complete the clamping element.

The clip element is preferably produced from a superelastic material, in particular a shape memory alloy or a shape memory polymer. This makes it possible that this super-elastic material does not break when the book block is opened and when the data pages of the book block are released, the data page is returned to a closed, in particular folded, arrangement.

When using a superelastic material, in particular a shape memory alloy based on Ni / Ti, material thicknesses of less than 0.5 mm, in particular 0.1 mm or less, are provided. These are sufficient to improve the Aufsperrverhalten the book block.

Preferably, the clamping element is attached to the superimposed data pages and fixed by the force acting on the outer data pages clamping force of the leg ends self-holding. This requires no additional effort to connect the clip element with the book block.

The object underlying the invention is further solved by a book-like document, in particular value and / or security document, which comprises a book cover, with a book block according to one of the above-described embodiments is connected. Due to the thin design of the clip element of the book block can be hung in a conventional manner in a book cover. Characterized in that the clip member engages around the book block outside and the book cover is connected to an outermost data page or a header of the book block, after opening the book-like document also a closing of the book cover can be made possible.

A preferred embodiment of the book-type document provides that the book cover and the header or the outermost data page of the book block are preferably connected to the book cover with an adhesive. Since the clamp element acts on the outermost data side or the attachment which is connected to the book cover, the book cover is also forcibly closed.

The book cover is preferably formed elastically bending and consists for example of a plastic film, so that a soft cover is formed. Alternatively, a soft bending elastic book cover made of paper, cardboard or a composite material may preferably be provided for the formation.

Furthermore, an adhesive-free zone is advantageously provided between the book cover and the clamp element. As a result, the formation of a wrinkled or broken book cover or folding area can be prevented in the case of repeated opening.

Furthermore, the book block may comprise at least one insert sheet, in particular with a tab. The insert sheet may be a personalization data page. The clip member may also be provided for such a book block or personalized document and also enhance unlocking performance.

In FIG. 1 a book-like document 11 is shown. This book-type document 11 is, for example, an identification document such as a passport, a passbook or the like. The document 11 comprises a book cover 12. On an inner side of the book cover 12, a header 14 is provided, which is attached to the book cover 12, in particular glued, is. Via a common seam 16, a plurality of data pages 18 are connected to the header 14. The data page 18, for example, an inside of the book-like document 11, is used in the case of a passport or passport to accept visas or stamps. The data page 18 is formed for example as a double page and includes two individual pages. The seam 16 runs within a fold region 27 along a folded edge 34 of the data pages 18.

Furthermore, the book-like document 11 may include an insert sheet 17. Such insert sheet 17 may be integrated with a tab 19 and is designed in particular as Personalisierdatenseite.

In FIG. 2 a book block 28 is shown in perspective, which together with the book cover 12, the book-like document 11 according to FIG. 1 forms. The data pages 18, the insert sheet 17 with a tab 19 and the attachment 14 are provided in a folded arrangement 29, wherein these are folded along the folded edge 34. On a book block back 31 formed by the folded arrangement 29 is a Clamping element 32 is provided which engages around the book block back 31 and an edge region of the attachment 14 and - if this is not provided - on the outermost data page 18 attacks.

This clip element 32 is formed of an elastic material, in particular a superelastic material. For example, a shape memory alloy, in particular based on Ni / Ti, can be used for this purpose. Likewise, a shape memory polymer can be used.

The clamp member 32 has an elongated U-shaped configuration, wherein the legs 36, 37, in particular the free leg ends 38, 39 of the legs 36, 37, rest against the outside of the attachment 14 and have a direction of force directed toward one another, so that the book block 28 is held independently in a closed form or in the folded arrangement 29. The legs 36, 37 are connected to each other by a back portion 41, wherein according to the embodiment in FIG. 2 is provided that the back portion is curved or has a circular arc shape. Advantageously, this arcuate contour of the spine portion 41 corresponds to the contour of the outermost data page 18 or header 14 in the folded assembly 29. Thus, the staple member 32 may abut directly on the outermost data page 18 and header 14 and on the outermost data page 18 or header 14 act. When the book block 29 is opened, the clamp element 32 is bent open and, at the same time, restoring forces are generated therein, which after releasing the data pages 18 and / or the attachment 14 cause an independent closing, so that the book block 28 returns to the folded arrangement 29.

Von der Klemmkraft des Klammerelementes 31 erfolgt eine selbsthaltende Fixierung am Buchblock 28.The clip element 32 according to FIG. 2 preferably consists of a band-shaped material and is formed over the entire surface. This extends along the entire book block spine 31 and into an edge region of the outermost data side 18 or the attachment 14, so that at least the inner seam 16 is covered and within which in the direction of the data page 18 extending legs 38, 39 is located. For positioning and securing the clip element 32 on the book block 28, the book block 28 is transferred and held in a folded arrangement 29. The free leg ends 38, 39 of the legs 36, 37 of the clamp member 32 are slightly bent to then put the clamp member 32 on the book block back 31, so that the free leg ends 38, 39 abut against the outside of the attachment 14 or the data page 18 and attack , From the clamping force of the clamp member 31 is a self-retaining fixation on the book block 28th

In FIG. 3 is an alternative embodiment of the clip member 32 to the clip member 32 in FIG FIG. 2 shown. In this embodiment, the legs 36, 37 are formed by a plurality of mutually adjacent individual fingers 43. For example, the individual fingers 43 can all be of the same length. Alternatively, the length of the individual fingers 43 may differ from each other. The width of the individual fingers 43 or their distances from one another can be selected as a function of the restoring force to be applied, the restoring force also being dependent on the material used and / or the wall material thickness of the clamp element 32. In this embodiment, the back portion 41 of the clamp member 32 is formed, for example, over the entire surface and extends along over the entire book block back 31st

In the above-described embodiments of the book block 28 according to the Figures 2 and 3 For example, instead of forming a seam along a seaming edge, welding or laminating along the seaming edge 34 or a combination of stitching, welding and / or laminating may also be provided.

In FIG. 4 is an alternative embodiment of the clamping element 32 to the Figures 2 and 3 shown. This alternative embodiment of the clip element 32 is adapted to a different structure of the book block 28. In this embodiment, the data pages 18 and optionally the insert sheet 17 and the attachment 14 are at one to Book block back 31 facing side edge 44 aligned together and connected, for example by gluing or welding together. The clamp element 32 in turn has a U-shaped configuration, wherein between the two legs 36, 37, a flat back portion 41 is formed. This plane back portion 41 is advantageously on the side edges of the data pages 18 and / or the insert sheet 17 and / or the intent 14. Alternatively, a round or circular arc-shaped back may be formed.

Another variant of the clip element 32 is shown in FIG FIG. 4 shown. For example, recesses and / or windows 46 can be introduced in the back section 41, by means of which the back section 41 can be purposefully weakened and, in turn, the restoring force can be determined. Such recesses can also in the embodiment of the clip element according to the Figures 2 and 3 be provided. Likewise, the formation of single fingers 43 according to the clamping element 32 in FIG. 3 also in the clip element 32 according to FIG. 4 be provided.
