Furthermore, book-like documents, in particular passport books, are known, which have a book cover which is flexurally elastic and forms a so-called soft cover. Such book-like documents usually show a poor Aufsperrverhalten, that is, the book-like document after a single opening does not close again completely, but a book cover or a half of the book cover stands up. This Aufsperrverhalten deteriorated especially when the fold area of the book cover has been overstretched.
The invention has for its object to propose a book block and a book-like document with a book block, whereby the Aufsperrverhalten is improved.
This object is achieved by a book block for a book-type document, in particular value and / or security document, in which the book block is held with a plurality of superimposed pages with a clamping element in a folded arrangement, wherein the clamping element in each case on an outer side of the upper and bottom data page or a header attacks and embraces the book block back, wherein by the impact of individual data pages (18) or the attachment (14) restoring forces in the clamping element (32) are generated, so that when you release the data pages (18) or the intent (14 ) is closed again due to this restoring force of the book block (28) and converted into a folded arrangement (29). Such a clamping element is elastically yielding, whereby a single data page is opened. By opening individual pages of data or the attachment restoring forces are generated in the clamp element, so that when you release the data pages or intent on the basis of this restoring force of the book block is closed again and converted into a folded arrangement.
Preferably, the clamping element is U-shaped or C-shaped and is in each case with at least a portion of the respective leg on the outside of the upper and lower data page or intent on. By the U-shaped or C-shaped configuration of the clip element a simple structural design is given, on the one hand allows unfolding of the individual data pages and on the other hand causes after the release of the data pages, a closure of the book block, without any deformation or overstretching of the clip element takes place.
The clamping element preferably has between the free, applied to the outsides of the data pages or the intent thighs at least in sections, a closed back section. The restoring force can be determined by the introduction of individual or a plurality of recesses or windows in the back section or the embodiment of a continuously closed back section without additional elements being additionally provided on the clip element. Thereby, a simple adaptation to different numbers of data pages for the generation of a sufficient restoring force to achieve the desired Aufsperrverhaltens be set.
A further advantageous embodiment of the U-shaped or C-shaped clamping element provides that between the legs of a curved, in particular arcuate, or a flat back portion is formed. With a plurality of superimposed data pages, which are formed as double pages and lie in a folded arrangement to form a folded edge, a circular arc-shaped back portion is preferably provided, since this back portion is adaptable to the curvature of the outermost data pages or the intent of the folded arrangement. Alternatively, a plurality of superimposed data pages may be provided in the form of a block in which the individual data pages are aligned congruent with one side edge and arranged one above the other and in particular along the end edges gluing, welding or lamination. In such a case, a flat back portion may be provided, on which the legs may be arranged at right angles thereto and abut the respective outer sides of the outer data pages or the header.
Preferably, the legs are over the entire surface, in particular as a continuous strip-shaped band formed.
An alternative embodiment of the legs provides that they are formed of several individual fingers. As a result, in turn, the restoring force can be easily adjusted and adjusted by the individual fingers can be determined with regard to their width and / or their length and / or the number along a spine.
The clip element preferably extends completely along the spine of the book and covers the adjoining edge region of the data pages. Thus, a closed spine can be created by the stapling element.
A simple production of the clamping element is made possible by the provision of a full-surface band-shaped material, from which the clamping element is made. This can be cut out in a simple manner or - if the strip-shaped material has the width or length of the clip element - be cut to length, so that a subsequent bend in a U-shaped or C-shaped contour is sufficient to complete the clamping element.
The clip element is preferably produced from a superelastic material, in particular a shape memory alloy or a shape memory polymer. This makes it possible that this super-elastic material does not break when the book block is opened and when the data pages of the book block are released, the data page is returned to a closed, in particular folded, arrangement.
When using a superelastic material, in particular a shape memory alloy based on Ni / Ti, material thicknesses of less than 0.5 mm, in particular 0.1 mm or less, are provided. These are sufficient to improve the Aufsperrverhalten the book block.
Preferably, the clamping element is attached to the superimposed data pages and fixed by the force acting on the outer data pages clamping force of the leg ends self-holding. This requires no additional effort to connect the clip element with the book block.
The object underlying the invention is further solved by a book-like document, in particular value and / or security document, which comprises a book cover, with a book block according to one of the above-described embodiments is connected. Due to the thin design of the clip element of the book block can be hung in a conventional manner in a book cover. Characterized in that the clip member engages around the book block outside and the book cover is connected to an outermost data page or a header of the book block, after opening the book-like document also a closing of the book cover can be made possible.
A preferred embodiment of the book-type document provides that the book cover and the header or the outermost data page of the book block are preferably connected to the book cover with an adhesive. Since the clamp element acts on the outermost data side or the attachment which is connected to the book cover, the book cover is also forcibly closed.
The book cover is preferably formed elastically bending and consists for example of a plastic film, so that a soft cover is formed. Alternatively, a soft bending elastic book cover made of paper, cardboard or a composite material may preferably be provided for the formation.
Furthermore, an adhesive-free zone is advantageously provided between the book cover and the clamp element. As a result, the formation of a wrinkled or broken book cover or folding area can be prevented in the case of repeated opening.
Furthermore, the book block may comprise at least one insert sheet, in particular with a tab. The insert sheet may be a personalization data page. The clip member may also be provided for such a book block or personalized document and also enhance unlocking performance.
