Abstract

The presentation folder to hold a stack (16) of sheets has a cover and at least one fastening strip (13) which is at least of such width that an area (18) for a fastener, an area (19) for a spacing from the fastener to the edge of the sheet, and the height sheet stack are defined. The fastening strip is foldable around the sheet stack in such a way that the fastener in the folded-round state is concealed by the fastening strip at least on one side of the sheet stack. Independent claims are included for the following: (A) a bound booklet consisting of a presentation folder; and (B) a method for the binding-in of a stack of sheets in a presentation folder.

Description

The invention relates to the use of a presentation folder for receiving a stack of sheets, a bound booklet and a method for incorporating a stack of sheets in a presentation folder with the features of the preambles of the independent claims.

For rapid binding of a stack of sheets, that is, a number of sheets between 1 and up to about 100 or more, which consist of paper, cardboard or other printable material, with as little labor and equipment cost, for example, folders are often used. This is a folder with a shell comprising a lower part and a cover part, which are connected to one another at one of their side edges. The binding of documents in such a folder is often carried out by means of a perforation of the documents to be introduced and a corresponding hole punching device within the folder. When using such a folder as a presentation folder, however, the valuable overall impression is disturbed by the conspicuous recording device. In addition, the recording device can unintentionally loosen or open, as it is also inadvertently easily operated each time you open the presentation folder. The receiving device is usually on the inside of the cover part, which can lead to signs of wear on the cover part with repeated opening and closing.

GB 2 253 374 describes a document comprising a strip attached to a bottom of a folder to which a stack of sheets and a cover is attached and which, after stapling or stapling, is folded over and conceals the fasteners. The strip is not on the inside of the portfolio, but is visible from the outside. The visible from the outside of the strip disturbs the overall impression, on the other hand there is the danger that the strip easily dissolves, moved out of its folded position and releases the view of the stapling or stapling means by the outside mounting. A valuable envelope of documents is then not guaranteed.

US 4,007,950 shows a stitching strip which serves to staple a sheet stack and can be folded around the stapled edge of the sheet stack. The strip has kinked grooves and a portion of the strip is to be adhered to the back of the sheet stack. A connection of the strip with a shell is not provided. To cover a stack of sheets, either top and bottom part would have to be inserted into the stitching strip, or by means of a further fastening means, a shell fixed to the strip. In both cases, the fasteners would be visible from the outside and disturb the overall impression

EP-A2-304 411 also shows a presentation folder.

US 4,793,758 shows a shell with an inner, connected to the shell strip. This is provided with an adhesive on which a sheet or stack of sheets can adhere. The adhesive bond consists only of a sheet of the sheet stack, whereby no solid connection between the shell and stack of sheets can be produced, which would be suitable to hold loads, for example by scrolling, stand.

The object of the invention is to avoid the disadvantages of the known, in particular to present the use of a presentation folder, a bound booklet and a method for binding, by which a stack of sheets is brought into an orderly shape with valued overall impression and by which at the same time a solid connection between the stack of sheets and the shell and, if necessary, between the leaves is ensured.

The object is achieved by the use of a presentation folder according to claim 1.

Under stitching, the joining of the sheets of the sheet stack and the stitching tape with one or more fasteners, e.g. Staples, stitching thread, metal band, spiral band or other understood.

Such a stitching ensures that the sheets are firmly connected to the presentation folder and each other without much effort. The presentation folder is therefore suitable for making a solid and durable bond.

The presentation folder may include a stitching strip that is preferably provided along the entire length of the presentation folder, or there may be a plurality of stitching strips along the length of the presentation folder that together provide for the stack of sheets to be held in the shell. In addition, a plurality of stitching strips may be provided in an envelope for receiving a plurality of stacks of sheets.

The refolding of the stitching strip contributes to the stabilization by the multiple layers in the fold area. The occlusion of the stitch The stitching strip prevents the stitching means from contacting the inside of the cover and causing prints, scratches, signs of wear or other damage to the latter. If the stitching strip is made of opaque material, then a valuable visual impression is favored by the concealment of the stapling means.

Preferably, the at least one stitching strip is foldable such that it covers at least the area of the stitching strip provided for the stitching, the area of the stack of sheets between the stitching and the sheet edge, and the edge of the stack of sheets along the length of the stitching strip. The edge of the stack of sheets on which the stapling takes place can thus be at least partially edged by the stapling strip. It creates the impression of a high-quality binding, as otherwise only by a relatively complex process, for example, a book binding, is achieved, although the sheets are connected only by a stitch.

Due to the refolding, the free edge of the stitching strip and the edge of the sheet stack approximately abut each other. This results in easy accessibility with a tool, such as a stapler.

Since the sheets and the stitching strip are connected to stapling means which can be removed again, there is a reversible, i. a detachable bond. It can thus be supplemented missing pages or unnecessary leaves removed. This possibility exists with an adhesive bond, e.g. with hot glue, not.

In a preferred embodiment, the sheath consists of a first material, in particular PP (polypropylene), and at least a stitching strip of a second material, in particular PPP (polyphenylene), which is softer and / or more flexible than the first material, such that the stitching strip is repeatedly kinked or foldable on its width without tools.

The following explains what we mean by softer or more flexible in the present case. While it is advantageous for the sheath, if it has a certain rigidity, by which the sheet stack is particularly protected against buckling, the stitching strip should be foldable on itself and around an edge of the sheet stack, for which it consists of a suitable material. In order to ensure the folding or buckling of the adhesive strip, this material must be sufficiently flexible and / or soft, that is less hard than that of the shell.

The flexibility exhibited by the material is primarily related to foldability, and the stretch or compressibility of the material is less significant.

For stapling a few or thin sheets, the components of the presentation folder, for example, from paper of different thickness, such as the envelope of solid cardboard and the adhesive strip of paper, be made.

Depending on the desired strength, a large number of materials can be used, including various plastics or textile materials.

When selecting the materials from the elastomers, the softness or flexibility can be described with parameters such as the flexural strength, which is for example in the range of 30-40 MPa for PP, the modulus of elasticity, for example for PP in the range of 1300-1600 MPa, the notched impact strength, for PP at 23 C in the range of 4-10 kJ / m2, or the hardness, for PP, for example, the Rockwell hardness (D785) is about 98, or about Shore D70.

For the stitching strip, it is important that on the one hand it has sufficient strength to accommodate the stitching and to support the stack of sheets. On the other hand, it must be flexible enough to fold back over itself along its entire length along the stack of sheets and be able to be guided around the edge of the stack. For this, the material should have a certain toughness and must not be so brittle that it breaks or breaks under heavy bending stress.

Although the sheath may be kinked in the region of the hull back, when it is made in one piece, for example, it is not folded several times at frequent intervals, as is the case with the stitching strip and can therefore be harder and / or less flexible than this be.

PPP (Polyphenylene) is an example of a material that combines strength and flexibility particularly well together.

Both PP and PPP can be made available in any color selection, so that a great variety of design is given.

In an embodiment according to the invention, the stitching strip has holes for receiving stapling means. These can be brought into coincidence with holes correspondingly present in the stack of sheets and take up stapling means which serve a releasable bond.

Staples are preferably used as the stapling agent. In this case, no preparation of the tacking tape is required.

After a refolding of the tape, the staple means are covered by this and are not visible.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the envelope has at least two predefined fold lines which define a back of the envelope.

At a fold line, the envelope can be easily folded in a certain direction. The shell is replaced by a certain shape in which a width of the hull back is given by the distance of the fold lines. A back of certain width is advantageous if the presentation folder for receiving a stack of sheets with a stack height, which does not exceed the envelope width, is provided.

Presentation folders with backs can also be stacked well with integrated contents. The back can be printed or provided with a sticker, so that a marking of the presentation folder is also legible when the presentation folder is on one of its edges.

Advantageously, the at least one stitching strip is fastened in a folding line. If the fixing of the stitching strip, in particular by stitching or welding, runs along a line which coincides with the folding line, then the fastening strip is fastened in a preferred folding line of the casing, which facilitates both the binding of the sheet stack and the turning over.

Alternatively, the at least one stitching strip may be fixed at a distance from a fold line, outside a section between it and another fold line defining a back of the cover.

In a preferred embodiment, the at least one stitching strip has an area with which it bears against the inside of the lower part of the shell. The stitching strip can then additionally cover an area on the back of the sheet stack.

In this case, the staple on both sides of the sheet stack may be obscured by the staple strip. The edge of the stack of sheets is bordered by the at least one stitching strip at least along its length.

The at least one stitching strip may be attached to the cover along a line parallel to the fold lines, but preferably there is a flat connection, for example by fixing the region of the at least one stitching strip which covers a region on the back side of the stack of sheets to the cover ,

Preferably, the at least one stitching strip has an area which can be adhered to the back of the stack of sheets. While the stitching already ensures that the stitching strip and the stack of sheets are not mutually movable in the area of the stitching, the gluing ensures that the fold of the stitching strip can no longer be reversed and thus the border of the stack of sheets is fixed.

The possibility for bonding is preferably provided by already attached to the adhesive strip adhesive, for example by a self-adhesive strip, which is covered by a protective film before bonding or which is adhesive by moistening.

Preferably, the at least one stitching strip has at least one predefined fold line which separates the areas for the stitching and the distance from the edge of the stack of sheets. When binding thereby the bending line of the fastening strip is predetermined, at which the stitching strip is folded back on itself to cover the stitching. The predetermined fold line facilitates the positioning and binding of the sheet stack.

In an advantageous embodiment, the at least one stitching strip has at least one fold line, which separates the areas for the distance to the edge of the sheet stack and the area for covering the height of the sheet stack from each other. The fold line is provided where the stitching strip bears against the edge of the stack of sheets and ensures that the stitching strips and the stack of sheets abut one another and that no creases are formed. The predetermined fold line also facilitates binding.

In a preferred embodiment, the at least one stitching strip is sewn to the cover, welded to the cover, adhered to the cover and / or stapled to the cover.

The object is further achieved by a bound booklet according to claim 14.

Bound booklets according to the invention can be produced very simply and offer a durable and visually demanding bond.

Advantageously, staples are provided as means for the stapling. These are usually very narrow, and require only minimal space in the direction perpendicular to the stitching edge. The stapling is thus practically along a line, which saves space and makes it easier to leaf.

In an alternative embodiment, at least one metal strip, which is guided through a perforation in the at least one stitching strip and the stack of sheets, is provided as the means for the stitching. Such a releasable attachment can be achieved in a simple manner.

Preferably, the shell is unfolded so far before placing the stack of sheets that the outer sides of the shell to each other lie. The stitching strip then points away from the sleeve and can be easily accessed by a stapler.

When folding the stack of sheets of the staple strip is folded back on itself on the one hand, on the other he lies down to the edge of the sheet stack. He conceals the stitching.

The loading of the stack of sheets preferably takes place in such a way that it first lies with the front side on the stitching strip, the staples are pushed through the stitching strip and the stack of sheets and the staples are bent over on the back side of the stack of sheets. The stack of sheets is then folded over to the back, with the stitching strip obscuring the stitching on the front.

If the stitching strip is long enough, it can still be continued on the back of the stack of sheets and hide the visible there stapling.

FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of an example of a presentation folder 1 according to the invention, with a shell 2 and a stitching strip 3, which is attached along its entire length to the shell 2. The stitching strip 13 is wide enough to accommodate a portion 18 of the staple, a distance 19 to the edge 20 of the sheet stack 16, and the height 21 of the sheet stack 16. It can thus be folded back on itself after the stapling operation, preferably in a fold line 25 provided for this, and cover the stapling means 17 and the edge 20 of the sheet stack 16.

The stapling means 17 may be staples not shown in detail in the figure, which are preferably guided first through the stapling strip 13, then through the stack of sheets 16 and are bent over underneath.

FIG. 3 shows a schematic representation of another example of an inventive bound booklet 30. A stack of sheets 36 is surrounded by a sleeve 32 to which a stitching strip 33 is attached, on which the sheet stack 36 is connected to a stapling means 37.

The stitching strip 33 is folded over so as to conceal the stitching 38 and the edge 40 of the sheet stack 36. In addition, it is wide enough to cover even a region 42 on the back 43 of the sheet stack 36 and thus the stapling means 44 on the back 43. In the area mentioned, the stitching strip is preferably fastened flat on the inside of the shell 32.

The stitching strip 33 has a fold line 45 which separates the area of the stitching 38 from the spacing 39 to the edge 40 and facilitates the folding of the stitching strip 33 onto itself.

FIG. 4a shows the presentation folder 1 with almost completely unfolded shell 2, wherein the stitching strip 3 faces away from the shell 2.

Due to this arrangement, the common edge of the tape strip 3 and the sheet stack 6 is well accessible despite the stapling strip 3 firmly connected to the sleeve 2 with a stapling tool, not shown in the drawing.

Claims (17)

1. Use of a presentation folder comprising a cover with a covering part and a back part, and at least one binding strip which is fastened to the inside of the cover, the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) being at least so wide that there is a region (18; 38) for binding, a region (19; 39) for a spacing from the binding to a sheet edge and for the height (21) of a sheet stack (6; 16; 36), and it being possible for the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) to be folded around the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) in such a way that, in the unfolded state, the binding means (7, 17, 37) are covered by the binding strip (3; 13; 33) at least on one side of the sheet stack (6; 16; 36),

   - depositing the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) onto an inner side of the cover, flush with respect to the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33),

   - binding the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) to the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33), and for

   - folding the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) over onto the other inner side of the cover, the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) being folded around the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) in such a way that, in the unfolded state, the binding means (7; 17; 37) are covered by the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) at least on one side of the sheet stack (6; 16; 36).
2. Use of a presentation folder according to Claim 1, characterized in that the at least one binding strip can be folded in such a way that it covers at least the region (18; 38) of the binding strip (3; 13; 33) which is provided for the binding, the region (19; 39) of the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) between the binding means (7; 17, 37) and the sheet edge, and the edge (20; 40) of the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) along the length of the binding strip (3; 13; 33).
3. Use of a presentation folder according to Claim 1 or Claim 2, characterized in that the cover (2; 12; 32) is composed of a first material, in particular PP, and the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) is composed of a second material, in particular PPP, which is softer and/or more flexible than the first material.
4. Use of a presentation folder according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the binding strip (3; 13; 33) has holes for receiving binding means (7; 17; 37).
5. Use of a presentation folder according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cover (2; 12; 32) has at least two predefined folding lines (4, 4'; 14, 14') which define a cover back (5; 15).
6. Use of a presentation folder according to Claim 5, characterized in that the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) is fastened in a folding line (4').
7. Use of a presentation folder according to Claim 5, characterized in that the at least one binding strip (3, 13, 33) is fixed at a spacing from a folding line (4'; 14'), outside a section between two folding lines (4, 4'; 14, 14'), which defines a cover back (5; 15).
8. Use of a presentation folder according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the at least one binding strip (3, 13, 33) has a region with which it bears against the inner side of the back part of the cover (2; 12; 32).
9. Use of a presentation folder according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a part of the binding strip (3; 13; 33) covers a region on the rear side of the sheet stack (6; 16; 36), and the said part is fixed on the cover (2; 12; 32).
10. Use of a presentation folder according to Claim 8 or 9, characterized in that the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) has a region which can be adhesively bonded onto the rear side of the sheet stack (6; 16; 36).
11. Use of a presentation folder according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) has at least one predefined folding line (25; 45) which separates the regions for the binding and the spacing from the edge of the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) from one another.
12. Use of a presentation folder according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) has at least one folding line which separates the regions for the spacing from the edge of the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) and the region for covering the height of the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) from one another.
13. Use of a presentation folder according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) is stitched firmly to the cover (2; 12; 32), is welded to the cover (2; 12; 32), is adhesively bonded to the cover (2; 12; 32) and/or is bound firmly to the cover (2; 12; 32).
14. Bound pamphlet comprising a presentation folder with a cover, at least one binding strip which is fastened to the inside of the cover, in particular comprising a presentation folder according to one of Claims 1 to 13, and a sheet stack which is attached to the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33), the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) being folded in such a way that it covers the region of the binding and the edge of the sheet stack (6; 16; 36), wherein the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) is stitched firmly to the cover (2; 12; 32), welded to the cover (2; 12; 32) and/or bound firmly to the cover (2; 12; 32).

17. Method for binding a sheet stack into a presentation folder having a cover and at least one binding strip which is fastened on the inside, in particular in a presentation folder according to one of Claims 1 to 13, comprising the following steps:

    - depositing the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) onto an inner side of the cover, flush with respect to the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33),

    - binding the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) to the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33),

    - folding the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) over onto the other inner side of the cover, the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) being folded around the sheet stack (6; 16; 36) in such a way that, in the unfolded state, the binding means (7; 17; 37) are covered by the at least one binding strip (3; 13; 33) at least on one side of the sheet stack (6; 16; 36).
