- certain metal roof 106 pin channels have different configurations of the standing seam 102, whereby fastener 124 and washer 128 of clamp assembly 110 may direct the pins 120, 122 along the predetermined angles 172a or 172b, so as to join the standing seam 102 sufficiently below the rolled metal of the seam for improved strength.
- the clamp assembly 110 may be configured to direct the pins 120, 122 along the predetermined angle 172b so as to improve clearance for tools utilized by the installer, e.g. difficulty reaching and driving fasteners between standing seams 102 when certain tools are positioned horizontal and/or otherwise at angles parallel to the metal roof 104.
- the leg 118 of the clamp assembly 110 may be formed offset pin channels 121, 123 along the arcuate surface 119, for example, a pin channel 121 formed at predetermined angle 172a and a pin channel 123 formed a predetermined angle 172b so as to offset the holding part of each pin 120, 122 whereby the washer 128 is of suitable size to urge pins 120, 122 against the standing seam 102.
- the fastener 180 of the retention system 100 further comprises a head 181, a washer 182 formed integral to the head with serrations 183 on the surface of the washer 182 oriented, for example, adjacent the top block, and an elongated shaft 184 that may be threaded 185.
- the fastener 180 may be formed from suitable materials having sufficient strength, durability, and ability to withstand environmental conditions such as, for example, a serrated flange hex head screw formed from AISI 300 Series stainless steel with dimensions of 3/8 - 16 x 1" long.
- the fastener 180 may be used to secure the top block 132 the clamp assembly 110 by inserting the fastener 180 in the guide shaft 150 and the attachment shaft 113 of the clamp assembly.
- the fastener 180 and the fastener 122 for the clamp assembly 110 may be the same thereby providing the reduction in components of the retention system 100 and advantages and cost and installation of the retention system 100, whereby the cross member assembly 200 may be inserted to the top block 130, emitting an audible sound (e.g. snap or clicking) for holding the cross member assembly 200 securely that is advantageous in installations of the retention system 100 on steep pitches of the metal roof 104, one person installations, whereby the audible sound provides the installer with information on the positive engagement of the cross member assembly 200 as shown in FIGS. 5A-5D
- the retention system 100 may be configured preassembled with the fastener 180 secured through the top block 130 to the attachment shaft 1113 of the clamp assembly 110 with the fastener 180 tightened to a predetermined distance 170, as shown in FIGS. 5B .
- the predetermined distance 170 may be established as the distance for the anchor assembly 230 to be inserted so as to traverse the lip 142 to reach recess 146 to engage the hook portion 144 such as, for example, .125 inch or 3.25 mm, which is non-limiting, utilizing the pivot 151.
- the preassembled retention system 100 may be formed with a suitable fastener 180 for example a threaded hex bolt inserted into the threaded channel 127 or a self-tapping threaded bolt secured in the attachment shaft 113.
- the preassembled retention system 100 may be formed in a predetermined distance range 171, whereby the range is a distance such that (1) the anchor assembly 230 may be inserted to the recess 146 and (2) unwanted rotation of the top block 130 is prevented when the fastener 180 is tightened.
- the predetermined distance range 171 for unwanted rotation may be limited to where the tail of the flange 150 or the rotation surface 152 does not rise above the upper surface 112 of the body 111 of the clamp assembly 110.
- the retention system 100 has the fastener 180 and top block 130 affixed to the clamp body 111 at a predetermined distance range 171 set at, for example, approximately a range approximately between about 0.125 to 0.157 inches or 3.25 to 4.0 mm, as shown in FIG. 5C .
- the retention assembly 100 may be configured a spring or leaf spring 160 located between the top block 130 and the fastener 180 for biasing the top block 130 toward the clamp body 111.
- the fastener 180 may be disposed through a spring or leaf spring 160, the guide shaft 155 and secured to the attachment shaft 113 of the clamp assembly 110 so as to provide a spring-loaded attachment whereby the cross member assembly 200 may be inserted to the latch assembly 140 of top block 130 clicking and holding the cross member assembly 200 securely.
- top block 130 is placed adjacent the upper surface 112 of clamp body 111 with the leaf spring 160 arranged on the upper surface 134 of the top block 130 aligning guide shaft 155 and attachment shaft 113 for inserting therethrough the fastener 180 to affix securely to a clamp assembly 110.
- the embodiment of the present invention where the retention apparatus and system 100 is configured with the leaf spring 160 is advantageous for on person installations of the metal roof and where an audible sound provides the installer with information on the positive engagement of the cross member assembly 200.
- the leaf spring 160 may be formed from suitable materials having sufficient strength, durability and ability to withstand environmental factors such as, for example, stainless steel with suitable bias and elastomeric properties when disposed on the seam 102 of a metal roof 104 for extended periods of time as shown in FIG. 6B . Consequently, the retention system 100 is configured to connect the anchor assembly 230 of the cross-member assembly 200 using the leaf spring 160 providing biasing of the top block 130 against the fastener 180, whereby the cross member assembly 200 may be inserted in the latch assembly 140 and snap into place and the fastener 180 may then be tightened uniformly to finalize the installation.

Claims (12)
- Festhaltesystem für Anbindung zur Struktur, das Festhaltesystem einschließlich:ein Spannsystem (110) für Anbindung zur Struktur, das erwähnte Spannsystem beinhaltend eine Halterung (111) zur Anbindung zur Struktur, wobei diese Halterung mit der Fläche der oberen Ebene (112) ausgelegt ist, mit der zentral in der oberen Ebene (112) ausgelegten Gegenwelle (113) für Aufnahme einer Schlossschraube (180) welche die Gegenstände und Objekte dazu anbindet;ein mit der oberen Ebene (134) ausgelegter Oberblock (130) und untere Ebene (139), die mit einem grundsätzlich planaren Profil mit der drinnen geformten Leitwelle (155) ausgelegt ist, wobei die Leitwelle zwischen erwähnten oberen (134) und unteren (139) Ebene herausragt, wobei die erwähnte Leitwelle (155) welche für Aufnahme der erwähnten Schlossschraube (180) angepasst wird, der Oberblock (130) demgemäß mit der Gegenwelle (113) von der Halterung (111) verbunden ist, wobei der Oberblock (130) einen in dem fertig montierten Festhaltesystem angebauten Flansch (150) beinhaltet, welcher sich neben der Halterung (111) befindet, wo der erwähnte Flansch (150) so angepasst wird, um das Drehen des Oberblocks (130) zu erlauben, und demnächst, sich an der Seite des Oberblocks (130), dem Flansch (150) gegenüber befindliche Klinkeneinheit (140); undeinen fertig montierten Querträger (200) ausgelegt mit dem aus dem grundsätzlich planaren verlängerten Profil bestehenden Bau mit der Ansichtsfläche (210) und Hinterfläche (214), wobei die Hinterfläche mit zwei oder mehreren Segmente (204) besteht, wobei einer (204) aus der Ankerarmverdehnung (224) und einem oder mehreren anderen aus zumindest einem Arm bestehenden Segmenten (202, 206), zusammengesetzt sind, Armverdehnung (216, 216a, 216b), welche Ankerarmverdehnung (224) generell in einer seitlichen Richtung aus der Hinterfläche (244) von dem Bau ausgeht und einen Ankerbau (230) beinhaltet, welcher so eingebaut ist, dass er zur Klinke operationsweise verbunden bleibt, Klinkeneinheit (140) von dem Oberblock (130) und Spannsystem (110) und zumindest eine Armverdehnung (216, 216a, 216b), die generell aus der Hinterfläche (244) der erwähnten Einheit in einer seitlichen Richtung ausgehen, und einen Kupplungskanal (203, 205, 207), der so ausgelegt ist, dass er operationsweise mit der Eisklappe (240) verbunden ist, und/oder Steckverbindung (190) aufnimmt,dadurch gekennzeichnet, dasszumindest einer Armverbindung (216, 216a, 216b) angebaut sind, und/oder die Ankerarmverdehnung (224) vom Trägerbau (200) dieser Spannkupplung (219, 229) zum, jedoch seitlich von, dieser Halterung (111) angebracht werden, Ankerbau (230) ist an der Klinkeneinheit (140) angebracht, um die vom Schnee, Eis oder anderen Objekten auf den Trägerbau (200) und/oder Eisklappe (240) eingreifende Kräfte zu überstehen.
- Festhaltesystem nach dem Anspruch 1, wo sich die Selbstspannkupplung auf der erwähnten Ankerarmverdehnung (224) des Trägerbaus (200) befindet, die Spannkupplungsfläche (229) auf der Unterebene (218) des Ankerbau untergebracht ist, und ausgelegt zusammen mit, jedoch seitlich von, der Halterung (111), während der Ankerbau (230) in der erwähnten Klinkeneinheit (140) befestigt wird, um den durch Schnee, Eis, bzw. anderen Gegenständen an einen oder mehreren Trägerbau (200) und/oder an die Eisklappe (240) herangetragenen Kräften zu widerstehen.
- Festhaltesystem nach Anspruch 1, wo, während die Spannkupplungsinnerfläche auf der seitlich von Ankerarmverdehnung (224) untergebrachten Armverdehnung (216, 216a) angebracht wird, der Trägerbau, die Spannkupplungsinnerfläche (219) aus dem Ende (221) der Armverdehnung (216, 216a) angebracht ist, und ausgelegt zusammen mit, jedoch seitlich von, der Halterung (111) befestigt wird, wodurch der Ankerbau (230) in der erwähnten Klinkeneinheit (140) gesichert wird um den durch Schnee, Eis, bzw. anderen Gegenständen an einen oder mehreren Trägerbau (200) und/oder an die Eisklappe (240) herangetragenen Kräften zu widerstehen.
- Festhaltesystem nach Anspruch 1, des Weiteren einschließlich einen Randwulst (220a), der auf dem Ende der Armverdehnung, beiseite von der Ankerarmverdehnung (224) angebracht ist, und ausgelegt, um den durch Schnee, Eis, und/oder anderen Gegenständen (200) an die Eisklappe (240) herangetragenen Kräften zu widerstehen.
- Festhaltesystem nach Anspruch 1, des Weiteren einschließlich einen Aufhänger (151) der sich zwischen der Unterebene (139) und dem Flansch (150) des Oberblocks (130) befindet und diesen Oberblock durch Einstecken des Ankerbaus in die Klinkeneinheit (140) dreht.
- Festhaltesystem nach Anspruch 5, des Weiteren einschließlich rotierende Oberfläche der Klinkeneinheit (152), die einen Drehflanschabschrägung (153) aufweist, welche einen Winkel auf Drehoberfläche der Klinkeneinheit des Oberblocks (130) darstellt, wobei die rotierende Oberfläche der Klinkeneinheit (152), eine Spalte für den Oberblock (130) durch Einstecken des Ankerbaus in die Klinkeneinheit (140) erzeugt.
- Festhaltesystem nach Anspruch 1, des Weiteren einschließlich eine Eisklappe (240), welche aus einem oberen Segment (250) und einem unterem Segment (242) bestehenden Eisklappengehäuse (241) zusammengebaut wird, wobei der Obersegment eine eingebaute, aus dem Oberarm (254) und dem Unterarm (260) bestehende Greifzange (251), wobei der Unterarm aus dem zu dem Eisklappengehäuse (241) und zu dem Untersegment (242) verbundenen Aufschraubband (252) hervorragt, wobei die Greifzange (251) und Aufschraubband (252) so ausgelegt sind, um betriebsweise zu einem oder mehreren Kupplungskanälen (203, 207) von dem Trägerbau verbunden zu werden, und der Untersegment (242) eine Stirnseite (246) und eine Hinterseite (244) aufweist, wobei die Hinterseite dazu fähig sind, um den Druckkraft vom Schnee, Eis und/oder anderen Gegenständen zu überstehen und weiterzuleiten, des Weiteren, einschließlich die mit den Firstklammern (247, 248) versehene Stirnseite, welche eine Spalte (249) für Einstecken des Schmuckteils der Struktur aufweist.
- Festhaltesystem nach Anspruch 7, wo die Greifzange (251) weiterhin ein Zugende (255) beinhaltet, wobei das Zugende einen aus innerer gebrochenen Kante des Oberarms bestehenden Zahn (258) beinhaltet, wobei der Zahn (258) betriebsweise zum Zahn auf der Armverdehnung des Trägerbaus (200) verbunden ist, um das Zusammenbruch der Greifzange (251) zu überstehen, und dabei, das Aufschraubband (252) die Eisklappe (240) vom Kupplungskanal (203, 207) des Trägerbaus (200) durch den wirkenden Kraft vom Schnee, Eis, und /oder jeden anderen Gegenstand der als eine einwirkende Kraft auf die Hinterfläche vom Untersegment wirkt.
- Festhaltesystem nach Anspruch 8, wo die Greifzange (251) weiterhin eine auf dem Unterarm (260) untergebrachte Auskehlung beinhaltet, wobei die Auskehlung betriebsweise zum Randwulst (220) auf der zumindest einen Armverdehnung des Trägerbaus (200) verbunden ist, um das Zusammenbruch der Greifzange (251) zu überstehen, und dabei, das Aufschraubband (252) die Eisklappe vom Kupplungskanal (203, 207) des Trägerbaus (200) durch den wirkenden Kraft vom Schnee, Eis, und/oder jeden anderen Gegenstand der als eine einwirkende Kraft auf die Hinterfläche (214) vom Untersegment (242) wirkt.
- Festhaltesystem nach Anspruch 1, das des Weiteren eine Lamellenfeder (160) beinhaltet, wobei diese Lamellenfeder ausgelegt ist, um den Oberblock (130) zur Halterung zu verschieben, und die Lamellenfeder (160) auf der Oberfläche (134) des Oberblocks (130) angebracht ist, wodurch die die Leitwelle (155) und die Gegenwelle (113) durch das Einführen der Schlossschraube (180), um das Spannsystem (110) abzusichern, zusammenbringt.
- Festhaltesystem nach Anspruch 7, wo die Ansichtsfläche (210) vom Trägerbau (200) und/oder Stirnseite (246) von der Eisklappe (240) des Weiteren eine Hinterblech (213) auf dem Oberende und eine Hinterblech (211) auf dem Unterende beinhaltet, was einen Kanal (212, 249) zusammenbaut, so ausgelegt, dass ein Schmuckelement in die Ansichtsfläche des Trägerbaus oder die Stirnseite der Eisklappe eingeführt werden kann.
- Festhaltesystem nach Anspruch 11, das des Weiteren, ein Einführungsobjekt fürs Einführen in die Kanäle (212, 249), wobei das Objekt ein Stück vom Metalldach darstellt.
