Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a joint sealing tape.
  • Sealing tapes for example in the form of compressible joint sealing tapes for sealing against drafts and driving rain, are for example from the DE 19641415 C2 , of the DE 20009674 U1 or the WO 2012/167762 A1 known and are used in structural engineering for sealing, in particular, components, for example window and door frames, against masonry, for example a building wall opening.
  • a known joint sealing tape has two longitudinal sides as well as one in the application or in the installed state of the joint sealing tape on the one joint flank, in particular of masonry, adjoining the first joint flank side and one in the application or in the installed state of the joint sealing tape on the opposite joint flank, in particular of a component second joint flank side, with one or preferably several membrane layers in each case in the longitudinal direction between the first and the second Joint flank side run parallel or almost parallel to the long sides between two foam layers.
  • the second joint flank side of such a joint sealing tape is usually glued to the component to be sealed, for example a window and door frame.
  • the previously compressed joint sealing tape expands, so it resets itself elastically so that the first side of the joint flank of the joint sealing tape adjoins the masonry of the building wall opening and thus seals the component on the masonry of the building wall opening.
  • the compressed joint sealing tape is first introduced into the component or movement joint, expands there, i.e. resets itself elastically so that one side of the joint flank of the joint sealing tape adjoins one side of the component or movement joint and the other side of the Joint sealing tape adjoins or rests on the other joint flank and thus seals the component or movement joint.
  • the joint sealing tape can also be glued to a joint edge with one side of the joint when it is introduced into the existing component or movement joint.
  • FR 2 309 768 A1 and EP 0 229 951 A2 disclosed joint sealing tapes with three open-cell foam layers, which are simultaneously impregnated with the same impregnation compound.
  • US 2012/085063 A1 discloses an adhesive tape which, in its flat design, is used for flat sealing, possibly for gluing over joints.
  • the invention is based on the object of improving a joint sealing tape.
  • the joint sealing tape according to the invention comprises at least three layers, at least one layer being designed as a drainage layer for collecting and purposefully discharging water from the joint sealing tape.
  • the drainage layer according to the invention makes it possible for the first time to easily drain water that has got into the joint sealing tape in an undesirable manner, for example through driving rain.
  • water that has undesirably entered the area to be sealed can also be captured or absorbed via the drainage layer and conducted via the same out of the joint sealing tape and the area to be sealed.
  • a damp joint sealing tape or a correspondingly damp area would disadvantageously lead to an increase in the thermal conductivity and thus to a decrease in the thermal insulation.
  • the drainage layer allows the joint to dry out quickly.
  • the drainage layer is arranged as an inner layer within the joint sealing tape.
  • the drainage layer is not directly exposed to a water-containing environment and actually only drains away the water that undesirably gets into the joint sealing tape and / or collects in the area to be sealed.
  • the drainage layer is designed so that the water is drained off under the influence of gravity. In this way, the water can be discharged in a targeted manner in the simplest possible way.
  • means would be required that convey the water out of the drainage layer in some other way, for example by blowing it out.
  • joint sealing tape can be used preferably in the vertical direction in such a way that the water emerges in the direction of gravity from a transverse side of the drainage layer.
  • the joint sealing tape has a drainage means or is to be arranged on such, in such a way that the water emerging from the drainage layer flows away in a targeted manner via the drainage means.
  • the drainage means thus serves to guide the water exiting from the drainage layer and thus from the joint sealing tape in a targeted manner out of the area to be sealed and thereby in particular to keep it dry.
  • a damp joint sealing tape or a correspondingly damp joint would otherwise disadvantageously lead to an increase in the thermal conductivity and thus to a reduction in the thermal insulation.
  • the drainage layer and drainage agent ensure that the joint dries out quickly.
  • the joint sealing tape has an outer layer that is closest to the weathering side when the jointing tape is used and an inner layer that is closest to the non-weathering side when the jointing tape is used, the drainage layer preferably closer to the outer than is arranged on the inner layer.
  • the weather side means the outside area exposed to the weather
  • the non-weather side means the inside area protected from the weather, for example a building.
  • the drainage layer has an at least predominantly open-cell foam which is at least partially hydrophobic.
  • an open-cell foam is suitable for collecting water and allows water to flow through the open pores, following the force of gravity.
  • the use of a foam for the drainage layer has the advantage that it can also have heat-insulating and / or sound-insulating properties.
  • the foam is a reticulated foam.
  • the area to be sealed is a joint and the sealing tape is a compressible joint sealing tape.
  • At least one layer is designed as a membrane layer.
  • membrane layers is for example from the DE 19641415 C2 , of the DE 20009674 U1 or the WO 2012/167762 A1 known.
  • At least one membrane layer is a diffusion-tight layer.
  • at least one membrane layer is a diffusion-open layer, in particular in the form of a film.
  • At least one membrane layer is moisture-variable or moisture-adaptive.
  • Suitable membrane layers are known to those skilled in the art, for example, from the European patent application EP 2 655 775 A1 known, the content of which is incorporated into the disclosure content of the present application by express reference.
  • the membrane layer or membrane layers, like barrier layers, can be arranged axially in the joint sealing tape so that, after the joint sealing tape has been installed, they are arranged essentially transversely to the diffusion direction of the water vapor.
  • a development of the invention provides that the composition of the membrane layer or membrane layers and / or that the arrangement of the Membrane layer or membrane layers and / or that the number of membrane layers is selected such that the joint sealing tape is more permeable to water vapor in the area that is closer or closest to the weathering side than in the area that is closer or closest to the non-weathering side .
  • composition and thus the property of one or more than one foam layer differs from at least one other foam layer, in particular in terms of diffusion behavior, water tightness, fire behavior, airtightness and / or thermal conductivity.
  • the joint sealing tape has two longitudinal sides as well as a first joint flank side adjoining a joint flank when the joint sealing tape is used and a second joint flank side adjoining the opposite joint flank when the joint sealing tape is used.
  • the joint sealing tape can be used, preferably in the horizontal direction, in such a way that the water exits from a joint flank side of the drainage layer in the direction of gravity.
  • the joint sealing tape is used in the horizontal direction, the joint sealing tape for example, placed with the joint flank side on a joint flank of a component, for example a window or door frame, in particular glued on.
  • gluing it can be advantageous not to glue the area of the drainage layer adjoining the joint flank or to leave it free of glue in order to ensure that water escapes from the drainage layer.
  • the drainage layer can, however, also be glued on by means of a grid adhesive layer, the openings within the grid allowing water to pass through.
  • one or more than one membrane layer runs in the longitudinal direction between the first and second joint flank side and parallel or almost parallel to the longitudinal sides between two foam layers, preferably a foam layer and a drainage layer.
  • the drainage layer is not impregnated or is less impregnated than at least one other layer comprising foam.
  • the foam forming the longitudinal sides is a homogeneously impregnated raw foam.
  • Such an impregnated foam is particularly well suited for simple and universal joint sealing, the impregnation in particular for a delayed recovery of the compressible, preferably precompressed Joint sealing tape ensures. It can be an advantage if the impregnate is made flame-retardant.
  • the impregnate is made flame-retardant in such a way that the product corresponds to at least one of the common fire standards for the construction sector in its specified area of application, for example DIN 4102-B1 and / or DIN 4102-B2 and / or DIN 4102- ⁇ F30 and / or EN13501 class E to B and / or EN 13501> R30 or> EI30.
  • the drainage means in the application of the joint sealing tape forms a lower connection to the joint sealing tape and is oriented, in particular inclined, in such a way that the water emerging from the drainage layer flows outwards, in particular from a joint.
  • the drainage means has at least one water outlet, in particular in the form of a depression or a drainage channel or furrow.
  • the drainage layer not the drainage layer, but the foam that forms the longitudinal sides, that is a raw foam impregnated with acrylates.
  • At least one membrane layer is formed from adhesive, preferably from an acrylate adhesive or a mixture of acrylate adhesive and polyurethane adhesive.
  • At least one membrane layer is formed from at least one waterproof modified acrylate, whereby high-performance, humidity-variable membrane layers are provided which, depending on the composition, are more diffusion-tight at high humidity than at lower humidity or vice versa.

  • membrane layer or membrane layers are permanently elastic in order to achieve improved diffusion values, so that the membrane layers remain permanently elastic even after aging in the compressed state and subsequent decompression or recovery and, when the joint sealing tape is installed in a joint, lie tightly against the joint flanks at all times .
  • the joint sealing tape has at least one membrane layer on at least one outer side, in particular on one or in each case on both longitudinal sides. It can be advantageous if at least one non-internal membrane layer consists of a sealing compound, in particular of silicone, acrylate or an MS polymer, of a film, in particular of PE, PP, PA or PUR, or some other plastic coating.
  • foam layers which run in the longitudinal direction and do not form the drainage layer, are designed differently in such a way that the joint sealing tape in the area that is closer or closest to the weathering side is more permeable to water vapor than in the area where the The non-weather side is closer or closest.
  • the foam layer closer to the weathering side having a higher density than the foam layer closer to the non-weathering side.
