Claims (13)
- Closed frame (10) with adjustable opening width (M), which closed frame (10) has a first frame sub-bar (36, 40) and a second frame sub-bar (88, 92), the frame sub-bars (36, 40; 88, 92) being designed for enclosing a wall region bordering a building opening and engaging on one another in a displaceable manner in order to set an opening width,characterized by a backfilling device (18) for back-lining the closed frame (10), the backfilling device (18) comprising at least one spacer element (28) which has an opening for the passage of a fastener by means of which the first frame sub-bar (36, 40) is to be fastened to the wall region and is designed for maintaining a distance between the first frame sub-bar (36, 40) and the wall region,wherein a clamping plate (34) is formed on the spacer element (28) or on at least one (28) of a plurality of spacer elements, the clamping plate (34) being configured to slidably clamp a flange (96) or insertion portion (24) of the second frame sub-bar (88, 92) to the first frame sub-bar (36, 40); and wherein the opening (78) is open on one side of the spacer element (28) so that the spacer element (28) can be pushed onto a shank of the fastener pre-attached to the first frame sub-bar (36, 40).

- Method of assembling a closed frame (10) according to any one of claims 1 to 10, comprising the steps of:a) loosely pre-fastening a first frame sub-bar (36, 40) to be used as a hinge-side frame sub-bar to a wall area by means of a plurality of fasteners;b) backfilling of the first frame sub-bar (36, 40) with a backfilling device (18), wherein at at least some of the fastening points the spacer element (28) formed with the clamping plate (34) is pushed onto a shank of the fastener and, if necessary, further spacer elements (30) without clamping plate are pushed on until the first frame sub-bar (36, 40) is backfilled with the desired spacing from the wall region;c) inserting an insertion area (24) of the second frame sub-bar (88, 92) to be used as a counter hinge-side frame sub-bar in order to achieve the desired opening width,d) fixing the fasteners so that the first frame sub-bar (36, 40) rests firmly on the backfilling device (18).
