Definitions
- the invention relates to a key for a locking cylinder with a shaft, with a locking recess in the shaft for receiving a scanning body of the locking cylinder and with a support surface of the locking recess for supporting the scanning body and locking cylinder for a key with a core rotatable in a housing, with a locking channel in Core for receiving the shaft of the key, with a scanning body guided at an angle to a plane of the locking channel, with a core hole arranged in the core for the scanning body and with a section of a side wall of the locking channel arranged parallel to the plane.
- a key with a lock cylinder of the type mentioned is, for example, from the EP 2 848 755 A2 known.
- this locking cylinder a scanning point of the scanning body on the key is arranged laterally next to an axis of the scanning body.
- a relatively large path of movement of the scanning body is necessary with a slightly changed depth of the locking recess in the key.
- a disadvantage of the known key and the known locking cylinder is that the locking recess and the core bore require very close tolerances.
- the DE 44 32 571 A1 discloses a flat key bit in which trapezoidal protrusions protrude from side surfaces.
- the scanning body of the locking cylinder scans the side surface.
- the EP 2 770 139 A2 discloses a locking cylinder, in which the scanning bodies protrude into a locking channel. These scanning bodies are scanned by surfaces of a key inserted into the locking channel.
- the invention is based on the problem of further developing a key and a locking cylinder of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that a large number of locking secrets are made possible and narrow tolerances are avoided.
- a partial region of the closing recess is arranged in a support rib projecting from a surface and the other partial region in the surface, and in that the closing recess has a first supporting surface and a second supporting surface arranged at an angle to the first supporting surface in the supporting rib for support of the scanning body and that the axis of symmetry of the core bore is directed towards a corner region of a groove arranged in the side wall for the supporting rib and a surface of the side wall arranged parallel to the plane of the closing channel.
- This configuration enables the closing recess to stabilize the scanning body on two support surfaces.
- the depth of the closing recess generated by the first supporting surface defines the respective closing secret, while the second supporting surface prevents the scanning body from tipping or sliding away. Tilting of the scanning body in the core bore with the key according to the invention is also avoided.
- the key thus avoids tight tolerances and offers a high number of locking secrets.
- the scanning body is guided into the area of the key, in which it can be supported at various points. This avoids tight tolerances in the locking cylinder.
- the scanning body is aligned with the axis of symmetry of the locking recess. The insertion of the key is therefore very low in friction.
- the key can be used in locking cylinders with scanning bodies guided at an incline on the shaft if the first support surface is arranged parallel to a plane of the shaft and the second support surface is inclined to the plane.
- the key enables the key in the EP 2 848 755 A2 mentioned high number of locking secrets with clear locking behavior.
- the first support surface arranged parallel to the plane enables a relatively large movement path of the scanning body in the locking cylinder.
- the second support surface enables the position of the scanning body of the locking cylinder to be stabilized.
- the plane can be defined by the largest areal extension of the shaft.
- the supporting rib has a trapezoidal cross section.
- a flank of the supporting rib which has the partial region of the closing recess is inclined to the surface of the shaft.
- the angle by which the flank is inclined to the surface can be determined, for example, according to the requirements of the desired friction, the intended difficulty of copying or the intended stability of the key.
- sharp edges in the area of the closing recess can easily be avoided if the second support surface is arranged perpendicular to an axis of symmetry of the closing recess.
- This design also simplifies the production of the key because the locking recess can be produced by drilling the flank of the support rib forming the second support surface. The inclination of the flank prevents side loads on the drilling tool.
- the key is particularly compact and can be manufactured inexpensively if the surface from which the supporting rib protrudes lies in an area set back from the outer contour.
- unauthorized unlocking of the locking cylinder can be made very difficult if the play of the scanning body in the core bore is so large that tilting of the scanning body is made possible. Tilting can lock the locking cylinder when using an unauthorized key or a manipulation tool. Since the authorized key supports the scanning body at two support points, tilting of the scanning body is avoided here.
- Figure 1 shows in cross section a locking cylinder with a core 2 rotatable in a housing 1 and with a key 4 inserted into a locking channel 3 of the core 2.
- the locking cylinder has a pin tumbler 5 guided perpendicular to the level of the locking channel 3 and an inclined to the level 6 of the locking channel 3 Guided pin tumbler 7. Only one of the two pin tumblers 5, 7 is shown. As a rule, the locking cylinder has a plurality of pin tumblers 5, 7 arranged one behind the other.
- the closing channel 3 has a side wall 8 with a plurality of surfaces 9 guided parallel to the plane and incorporated therein several grooves 10.
- An axis of symmetry 11 of a core bore 12 of the pin tumbler 7 inclined to the plane 6 of the closing channel 3 is on a corner region of a groove 10 and the section of the surface 9 of the side wall 8 arranged parallel to the plane 6.
- the pin tumbler 7 has a scanning body 13 guided in a core bore 12.
- the key 4 only one shaft 14 inserted into the locking channel is shown. Of course, the key also has a handle, not shown, for gripping.
- the shaft 14 has a contour adapted to the limits of the closing channel 3 Support rib 15 and adjacent to it a surface 16 which faces surface 9 of the closing channel 3.
- the key 4 has a closing recess 18 shown in dash-dotted lines for receiving the free end of the scanning body 13 of the pin tumbler 7 arranged at an angle to the plane 6.
- the contour of the shaft 14 denotes a level 0 of the locking secret of the pin tumbler 7, the dash-dot closing recess 18, for example Level 1. Further, deeper locking recesses can be provided for further locking secrets.
- the contour of the shaft 14 and also the closing recess 18 each have a first support surface 19, which is arranged parallel to the plane 6 of the locking channel 3, and a second, inclined support surface 20.
- the second support surface 20 is arranged essentially perpendicular to the axis of symmetry 11 of the core bore 12 and thus the pin tumbler 7. Due to a truncated cone shape at its free end, the scanning body 13 has a contour adapted to the two support surfaces 19, 20.
- the supporting rib 15 is trapezoidal in cross section and has a flank that is perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the core bore 12.
- the flank forms the described second support surface 20 of the level 0 locking secret.
- the surface 16 forming the first support surface 19 of level 0 of the locking secret is located in an area set back from the outermost contour of the shaft 14.
- FIGs 3 and 4 show the scanning body 13 by way of example with the key 4.
- the key 4 is in these sectional views without the in Figure 2 Shown recess 18 shown.
- the scanning body 13 has a length corresponding to the level 1 locking secret described and therefore projects above the core 2 in the position shown. This characterizes the position of the key 4 when it is inserted into the locking channel 3.
- Figure 3 shows an example of how the scanning body 13 is supported on the first support surface 19 and has a small distance a from the second support surface 20.
- the scanning body 13 is supported on the second support surface 20 and has a distance b from the first support surface 19
- Figures 3 and 4 the distances a and b each represent the maximum distance between the scanning body 13 and the other supporting surface 19, 20.
- the possible tilting movements of the scanning body 13 are marked with x and y and are approximately the same.
- Figures 5 and 6 show the scanning body 13 from the Figures 3 and 4 for example with a key 4 'according to the prior art without a support rib.
- the scanning body 13 is supported on the key 4 'only by a single support surface 19'. So that the sensing body 13 tilt very strongly. This strong tilting initially leads to the fact that the x and y differences in the positions of the scanning body 13 protruding from the core 2 are relatively large and the greater the tolerance and thus the possible play of the scanning body 13 in the core bore 12.
- this strong tilting can lead to a wedging of the scanning body 13 in the core bore 12, which is of sufficiently large dimensions here.
- This wedging occurs when the locking cylinder is to be unlocked with a manipulation tool or the key 4 'shown, which is not authorized to lock.
- this wedging is avoided because the scanning body 13, as described above, is guided by two support surfaces 19, 20.

Description
The invention relates to a key for a locking cylinder with a shaft, with a locking recess in the shaft for receiving a scanning body of the locking cylinder and with a support surface of the locking recess for supporting the scanning body and locking cylinder for a key with a core rotatable in a housing, with a locking channel in Core for receiving the shaft of the key, with a scanning body guided at an angle to a plane of the locking channel, with a core hole arranged in the core for the scanning body and with a section of a side wall of the locking channel arranged parallel to the plane.

The invention is based on the problem of further developing a key and a locking cylinder of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that a large number of locking secrets are made possible and narrow tolerances are avoided.
This problem is solved according to the invention in that a partial region of the closing recess is arranged in a support rib projecting from a surface and the other partial region in the surface, and in that the closing recess has a first supporting surface and a second supporting surface arranged at an angle to the first supporting surface in the supporting rib for support of the scanning body and that the axis of symmetry of the core bore is directed towards a corner region of a groove arranged in the side wall for the supporting rib and a surface of the side wall arranged parallel to the plane of the closing channel.
This configuration enables the closing recess to stabilize the scanning body on two support surfaces. The depth of the closing recess generated by the first supporting surface defines the respective closing secret, while the second supporting surface prevents the scanning body from tipping or sliding away. Tilting of the scanning body in the core bore with the key according to the invention is also avoided. The key thus avoids tight tolerances and offers a high number of locking secrets. With this design, the scanning body is guided into the area of the key, in which it can be supported at various points. This avoids tight tolerances in the locking cylinder. In addition, when the key is inserted into the locking channel in the core bore, the scanning body is aligned with the axis of symmetry of the locking recess. The insertion of the key is therefore very low in friction.
According to another advantageous development of the invention, it helps to simplify the insertion of the key into a locking channel of the locking cylinder if the supporting rib has a trapezoidal cross section. As a result, a flank of the supporting rib which has the partial region of the closing recess is inclined to the surface of the shaft. With this design, the scanning body is guided by the inclined flank when the key is inserted. The angle by which the flank is inclined to the surface can be determined, for example, according to the requirements of the desired friction, the intended difficulty of copying or the intended stability of the key.
According to another advantageous development of the invention, sharp edges in the area of the closing recess can easily be avoided if the second support surface is arranged perpendicular to an axis of symmetry of the closing recess. This design also simplifies the production of the key because the locking recess can be produced by drilling the flank of the support rib forming the second support surface. The inclination of the flank prevents side loads on the drilling tool.
According to another advantageous development of the invention, the key is particularly compact and can be manufactured inexpensively if the surface from which the supporting rib protrudes lies in an area set back from the outer contour.
According to another advantageous development of the invention, unauthorized unlocking of the locking cylinder can be made very difficult if the play of the scanning body in the core bore is so large that tilting of the scanning body is made possible. Tilting can lock the locking cylinder when using an unauthorized key or a manipulation tool. Since the authorized key supports the scanning body at two support points, tilting of the scanning body is avoided here.
According to another advantageous development of the invention, to further complicate the unauthorized unlocking of the locking cylinder, it contributes if at least one of the components of the core bore or the scanning body has a surface roughness or corrugation to increase the friction.
According to another advantageous development of the invention, reliable support of the scanning body on both supporting surfaces of the closing recess can be easily ensured if the free end of the scanning body is frustoconical.

Of the
The supporting

Furthermore, this strong tilting can lead to a wedging of the
