Description

The invention relates to a container carrier for storage or transport of individual containers, in particular bottles, wherein the container carrier has a polygonal bottom surface and thereon a plurality of container receptacles formed by compartments, a holding portion, two parallel side walls in particular and two in particular parallel end walls, facing the bottom surface extend over the plane of a respective upper edge termination of the longitudinal walls. Furthermore, the invention relates to a flat carton blank for such a container carrier designed as cardboard.

The container carrier corresponds in its basic form to the standardized format 0717 according to the FEFCO-ESBO code (International fibreboard case code). The features of the preamble of claim 1 emerge US 4,601,390 , which describes a rectangular container carrier from a carton blank. Two opposite sides of the known container carrier are up above the upper edge of the other two sides and are provided with closed Trageausnehmungen.

For storage and transport, known container carriers have compartments in which bottles, in particular beverage bottles, can be used. The compartments are limited by intersecting, extending in the longitudinal and transverse walls and are also designed so that the bottlenecks of the bottles used protrude above.
For the production of a container carrier foldable flat material, usually cardboard, is used. One or more blanks are punched out of the flat material. Subsequently, the blank is folded, wherein adhesive is applied to predetermined areas of the blank before or during folding, if necessary.

Through the holding section, the container carriers can be transported individually. Alternatively, several container carriers are often transported in a composite in beverage crates.
From the prior art bottle carrier from a carton blank, for example by the DE 20 2011 003 191 U1 , the DE 698 18 222 T2 as well as the DE 20 2012 005 947 U1 known. EP 0 485 791 A describes a plastic bottle crate, which has on one side opposite sides unilaterally open Trageausnehmungen or freestanding handles.

A disadvantage proves in practice that the arranged in the central longitudinal plane of the container carrier carrying handle is only limited suitable for fixing to stationary objects. The carrying handle is therefore essentially usable as a handle. Although one could think of temporarily attaching the container carrier to a stationary hook by this is passed through the opening of the carrying handle. However, this idea proves to be impractical because the hook on the handle tends, due to its length, to slip towards the ends when loaded unevenly, which may result in containers falling out of the container carrier.
In practice, the container carriers are therefore parked on the ground, but this is problematic due to the material when the soil moistened and the cardboard thereby loses its capacity. In addition, the container carrier is often overlooked and accidentally knocked over.
The invention has for its object to provide a way to be able to hang the container carrier easily without further aids to particular stationary objects.
This object is achieved with a container carrier according to the features of claim 1. The further embodiment of the container carrier is shown in the dependent claims.
According to the invention, in the container carrier, the end walls in a region above the adjacent edge termination of the longitudinal walls each have at least one recess equipped with a passage opening for inserting an object with a matching distance from the bottom surface. As a result, in a surprisingly simple manner, a permanent or only temporary arrangement of the container carrier on a stationary projection, in particular horizontal element possible. It is not necessary, the projection frontally through the recess by means of a substantially translatory feed movement bring. Rather, the passage opening allows a rapid arrangement of the container carrier on horizontally extending elements, such as a handrail or railing, by a relative to the recess radial feed movement. Due to the arrangement of the recesses on the end walls, which according to the invention have the greatest distance from each other, a stable fixation is achieved by the mere hooking in the stationary element, which assumes only a very slight inclination, even if the burden of bottles, glasses or other Container unevenly distributed in relation to the entire floor surface acts. Even more, it has been shown that the container carrier itself withstands external force effects largely without limiting its usability, so that an overload of the container carrier hardly occurs and the container can be safely stored in the container carrier even in strong winds or on board a heavily offensive vessel. Basically, with respect to the terms above or above, that these relate to the function of the container carrier, according to which the bottom surface is in the direction of gravity below the longitudinal walls and end walls and the container from above, ie in the direction of gravity, in the Container carrier can be used. In a simple embodiment, the recess is formed by an example, horizontal or obliquely downwardly oriented bending of the end wall in the upper region.
The container carrier can in turn be designed so that it can be transported in a commercial crate.
Although the passage openings of the two end walls could be arranged facing different longitudinal walls, in practice, the handling of the container carrier proves to be particularly simple when the passage openings facing the same longitudinal wall are arranged on the end wall. The desired effect of the invention is further achieved in that the passage opening is delimited by a projection of the respective end wall, which is designed as a projection and which is arranged below a boundary surface of the recess forming an upper edge. As a result, the container carrier must be raised according to the vertical distance of the projection with respect to the upper boundary surface for releasing the stationary element accordingly. Thus, an undesired radial slipping or sliding of the recess of the stationary element is largely excluded. An undesirable translational movement on the stationary element can be prevented by suitable dimensions of the recess be by the boundary surface, for example, clamped on the peripheral region of the stationary element rests. For this purpose, a particularly elastic deflection of the formation can be provided from the plane of the end wall. Furthermore, for example, the clear width of the passage opening may be smaller than the minimum diameter of the recess, so that the passage opening upon insertion of the stationary element elastically deformed and the position is thereby secured accordingly.

Furthermore, the attachment and detachment of the container carrier of the stationary element is simplified in that the formation and the recess are arranged above the plane of the edge termination of the longitudinal walls, so that even filled with the container container carrier effortlessly without unwanted contact of the container to the stationary element can be attached.

It proves to be particularly advantageous if the passage opening is bounded by two opposite straight edges, such as cut edges or punches, so that the insertion of the stationary element or object is facilitated by the passage opening. For this purpose, the edges preferably have a mutually inclined orientation, so that the clear width continuously decreases in the direction of the recess.

The shape limits in the broadest sense, a hook-shaped recess of the respective side wall. It is particularly practical in this case if the shape is bounded at least in sections by a curved, in particular circular arc, or by a polygonal edge, which is connected in a continuous course with the recess, so that the formation also forms an insertion for the stationary element.

The recess could have a polygonal shape, so that the upper boundary surface of the recess rests only in small portions on the element and thereby results in a clamping connection. On the other hand, it is particularly advantageous if the recess has a circular or elliptical cross-sectional shape, so that it is deflected under the influence of gravity, in particular to compensate for an uneven distribution of the container load around the longitudinal axis of the element, thus realizing a stable shaping, which only slightly stresses the end walls ,

The recesses could, for example, be arranged in a plane that coincides with the plane of a longitudinal wall, so that an inclined orientation of the floor surface adjusts itself with an equally distributed load on the floor surface, thus optimizing access to the container carrier. A particularly practical embodiment of the invention, however, is achieved in that the geometric center of the recess is arranged in a central longitudinal plane of the carton or container carrier perpendicular to the bottom surface, so that the bottom surface of an empty or evenly loaded container carrier assumes a horizontal orientation.

A further preferred embodiment of the invention is also achieved in that the holding section is formed by a respective region connecting the end walls as a spaced apart parallel to the bottom surface carrying handle. As a result, the container carrier can be easily transported with only one hand by the side walls are connected by a material section.

For this purpose, the holding portion is preferably formed by interconnected bends or bends of the end walls, which have a more or less large overlap region depending on the expected load. In favor of a detachable, with little effort to produce connection, the two bends are connected for example by at least one plug-in connection.

In this case, it is also possible in a particularly advantageous manner to produce the container carrier from a single carton blank, so that the associated costs are relatively low. The cardboard comes out without or with comparatively few adhesion compounds.

Although the basic shape of the container carrier can be adapted almost arbitrarily to different applications, it has nevertheless proven to be particularly useful if the container carrier has a rectangular basic shape for receiving an even number of, for example, six or eight, but more preferably a square basic shape for four containers having.

The invention allows for various embodiments. To further clarify its basic principle, one of them is shown in the drawing and will be described below. This shows in

A container carrier according to the invention made of cardboard 1 for storage or transport of six bottles, not shown, is described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4 explained in more detail. The from a in FIG. 4 carton blank 2 shown carton 1 has an in FIG. 3 recognizable bottom surface 3, which can also be used as a stand for loading the carton 1. The carton 1 has a rectangular basic shape, on the bottom surface 3 a plurality of compartment 4 separated container receptacles are formed, and two outer contour forming parallel longitudinal walls 5 and this rectangular, mutually parallel end walls 6. The end walls 6 rise on both sides consistently higher the plane of the bottom surface 3 as the longitudinal walls 5 with their respective upper edge termination. 7
According to the invention, the end walls 6 in this area 8 above the edge termination 7 of the adjacent longitudinal walls 5 each have a circular recess 9 with a passage opening 10 for insertion of an elongated, not necessarily straight, only hinted elongate element 11, for example a handrail. By the recesses 9 are arranged in a common plane parallel to the bottom surface 3, thus the cardboard 1 can be aligned in the same way on the element 11. In order to avoid the undesired slippage even when associated with the removal of the bottles deflection of the carton 1, the passage opening 10 is further limited according to the invention by a projection 12 formed as a projection of the respective end wall 6, which is disposed below an upper boundary surface 13 of the recess 9 , The formation 12 is connected by two mutually opposite, parallel edges 14, 15 in a continuous course with the recess 9. For carrying the cardboard 1, the end walls 6 are connected in the region of a respective horizontal bend 16 in an overlapping region 17 with each other by a plug-in connection 18, which thus form a holding portion serving as a carrying handle.
