Description

The invention relates to a bottle crate with side openings, in which at least one side opening is so large that a bottle standing in the bottle crate can be removed through this opening. The customer can also remove the bottles from a box if another, empty box or a box with another device is on the box from which the customer wants to remove the bottle. You can also conveniently take a bottle out of a higher-level box, which you cannot reach into from above.

So that the bottles cannot fall out during the transport of a full box, they can be held in the box in various ways. For example, the height of the opening can be slightly less than the height of the bottle. The lower edge of the opening is then provided somewhat above the bottom of the bottle crate and / or the upper edge of the opening runs somewhat below the upper end of the bottle, so that when the bottle is removed from the crate it is first raised somewhat and then brought into an inclined position must be in order to be able to be removed in this position with the floor ahead through the opening to the outside. The removal opening can be provided on the narrow side of the bottle crate and / or on the broad side of the bottle crate.

In a bottle crate known from WO-A-8702007, a holding part narrowing the clear width of the opening is provided on at least one edge of the opening. The holding part is formed by a rigid cam which is arranged in the upper half of compartment walls delimiting a central compartment in the vicinity of its front edge. Although the partition walls are supposed to be somewhat flexible, the lower half of the front edge of the partition wall connects directly to the bottom bar and only the upper half of the front edge is separated from the upstanding bottom bar by a slot, so that only this upper half of the partition wall edge is somewhat can give way parallel to the plane of the opening if the bottle standing in this middle compartment is to be removed. However, this is only possible if the bottles have already been removed from the two neighboring compartments.

The invention has for its object to develop a bottle crate with a holding part that allows a bottle to be removed from a central compartment through a side opening even when there are still bottles in the adjacent compartments.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the holding part narrowing the clear width of the opening is designed to be elastically resilient.

Since the elasticity required to remove the bottle from the compartment is applied by the holding part itself, but not by the compartment wall, the compartment walls can be rigid and connected to the bottom bar at full height, because they have to be removed from the middle to remove a bottle Do not swing the compartment into the neighboring compartments to expand the front part of the middle compartment so that the bottle can be removed from there.

Such a holding part can be provided in addition to the aforementioned holding means or on its own in embodiments of the invention.

The elastic holding part can, for example, be a spring which holds the bottle in the bottle crate and whose restoring force must be overcome when the bottle is removed from the opening. For example, leaf springs made of resilient metal or resilient plastic are suitable for this purpose. The holding part can also consist of an elastically resilient strip running along an edge of the opening, which extends at right angles to the lower and / or at right angles to the upper edge or along one or both lateral edges of the opening. If the bar is not itself elastic or resilient, a bar which is rigid per se can be attached to the edge of the opening by means of a spring.

In embodiments of the invention, the holding part extends along the edge at least half the length of an edge of the opening.

If the holding part is made of plastic, it can expediently be in one piece with the edge of the opening of the bottle crate, in particular the holding part, if it is runs along the side edge of the opening, be molded onto a corner pillar of the bottle crate. This allows a particularly simple manufacture of the bottle crate, a recess for such a retaining lip then only has to be provided in the injection mold.

The box can be provided for holding bottles of any shape; in one embodiment of the invention, the inside dimensions of the bottle box are selected to hold bottles with a square cross-section, in particular for holding two rows of bottles with a rectangular cross-section, for example with a cross-section as shown in the Tetra Pak system (registered trademark) for milk bottles.

The holding part can have any shape suitable for its purpose, for example it can have a cross-section or tongue shape that tapers inward from the base at the edge of the opening into the opening. It is only essential that, if an elastically resilient holding part is used, the resistance of the holding part is overcome when the bottle is removed. However, as mentioned, this is not necessary when using rigid holding parts which narrow the internal width of the opening so little that the bottle can be lifted and then removed in an inclined position.

If the holding part is made of plastic, its shape is selected so that it can consist of the same material as the rest of the bottle crate, preferably of low-pressure polyethylene.

In the embodiment of the invention shown in the drawing, a bottle crate has four corner columns 1 and between the corner columns on the broad side each have two inwardly projecting columns 2, which have an inclined surface 3 at the upper end and end somewhat below the upper edge 4 of the bottle crate. The box is dimensioned so that two rows of four milk bottles 5 each can be set in it, which have a square cross section with rounded corners. The inwardly projecting columns 2 are arranged at those points on the broad side wall of the box at which two bottles 5 ′ and 5 ″ adjoin one another. On the corner pillars 1 there is a bar 6 which extends over its entire height and which has a curved cross section and engages on the circumference of the bottle 5. The strips 6 and the columns 2 therefore keep the bottles at a distance from the inner surface of the box so that they are held close together. On the broad side of the box there is between the corner columns 1 and the columns 2 a relatively narrow recess 7, the width of which is smaller than the width of a bottle 5. Between the columns 2 there is an opening 8 on the broad side of the box, which is wider is as the width of a bottle 5. The height of the recesses 7 and 8 is smaller than the height of a bottle 5 and below by the height of a baseboard 9. A header 10 on the broad side of the box extends somewhat over the upper end of a bottle 5 downward. Slats 11 are provided on the inside of the head strip 10, which should make the gripping surface more comfortable for the hand.

On the narrow side of the box there is a removal opening 12, the lower edge of which in turn runs around the height of a baseboard 13 above a base 23 on which the bottles 5 stand. An upper edge strip 14 is relatively narrow in the area of the opening 12, it does not extend down to the upper end of the bottles 5, but ends at a distance 15 from the upper bottle end 22.

The front edge of the strips 6 is located behind the plane of the inner surface of the edge of the opening 12, for example at a distance of 15-20 mm, but does not reduce its clear width. On both sides of the opening 12 there is one molded onto the strip 6 on the vertical strips 6 Retaining lip 16, which resiliently wraps around the outer corner of the bottle cross-section and thus holds the bottle 5 together with the skirting board 13 so that it cannot accidentally fall out through the opening 12. At the end of the base 23 adjacent to the baseboard 13 there is a depression 17 into which a portion 18 of the bottle bottom adjacent to the depression 17 enters when the bottle 5 is swung out at the top end of the bottle through the opening 12. For this purpose, the bottom 19 of the bottle 5 is curved upwards. The dimensions and the curvature of the bottom 19 are chosen so that in this inclined position the upper, rear edge 20 is located at the top end of the bottle below the upper rim 14, so that the bottle 5 is pivoted under the rim 14 and removed through the opening 12 can. The retaining lips 16 spring elastically. These retaining lips 16 have a height which corresponds approximately to half the bottle height and are arranged on the strips 6 at a medium height. The holding lips 16 are arranged on both lateral edges 21 of the opening 12. The columns 1, 2 and the baseboard 13 and the upper bar 14 are designed as hollow profiles. An opening 12 is located on both narrow sides of the bottle crate.

The retaining lips 16 are in one piece with the strips 6 and the corner pillars 1, they are injection molded in one injection mold and consist of a suitable low-pressure polyethylene.

In the illustrated embodiment of the invention, the bottles, e.g. B. milk bottles for which the bottle crate is intended, a rectangular cross-section of about 70 mm side length. The inner surface that can be used by the bottles 5 the bottle crate therefore has a width of approximately 140 mm. The columns 2 and the strips 6 attached to the corner columns protrude approximately 30 mm into the interior of the box. The clear width in the longitudinal direction of the box is 280 mm, the width (thickness) of the baseboard 13 under the opening 12 is about 10 mm and the height is about 40 mm. The baseboard 9 is approximately the same height. The height of the recess 12 is approximately 240 mm, its width measured from the front edge of the bar 6 to the front edge of the opposite bar 6 is approximately 140 mm. The distance between the front ends of the mutually opposite retaining lips 16, however, is approximately 130 mm. The spring force of the holding lips 16 resulting from this constriction must therefore be overcome when the first bottle is removed. The height of the bottle intended for this bottle crate is approximately 280 mm, the space 15 between the upper end 22 of a set bottle 5 and the lower end of the head bar 14 is approximately 10 mm. These dimensions enable a bottle 5 to be conveniently removed from the full bottle basket after the holding lip 16 engaging it has been overcome. If a bottle is removed, the holding lip 16 no longer has a holding function when the other bottles are removed.

Corresponding size ratios can be used with other bottle crates and bottle crates for holding round or any other cross-section bottles in connection with or without a compartment. In the bottle crates according to the invention, the bottles can be adjusted by machine or by hand in the known manner.
