Die Erfindung betrifft eine Zierhalterungsvorrichtung für Fensterbretter umfassend zumindest zwei Stützen (1), wobei jede Stütze (1) ein im Wesentlichen L-förmiges erstes Stützelement (2) mit einem senkrechten Schenkel (3) und einem an der Oberseite eines Fensterbretts anordenbaren waagrechten Schenkel (4), und ein gegenüber dem ersten Stützelement (2) in Richtung des senkrechten Schenkels (3) verschiebbares zweites Stützelement (5) mit einem am unteren freien Endabschnitt angeordneten Klemmvorsprung (6) umfasst, und wobei die ersten und zweiten Stützelemente (2,5) in ihrer relativen Lage zueinander durch eine Fixiereinrichtung (7) fixierbar sind, wobei die Fixiereinrichtung (7) einen Betätigungsabschnitt (8) aufweist, welcher oberhalb des waagrechten Schenkels (4) des ersten Stützelements (2) und damit im montierten Zustand oberhalb der Fensterbrettebene liegt. So dienen die Querverbindungselemente einerseits zur Absicherung des Fensterbretts, wodurch diese Fläche für alle möglichen Anwendungen nutzbar wird, und andererseits können auf den Querverbindungselementen Zaunelemente befestigt werden, welche nach Außen eine dekorative Gestaltung erlauben. Auch können die Querverbindungselemente selbst und die Anordnung von diesen bereits als dekoratives Element eingesetzt werden. Dabei kann die ganze Vorrichtung sehr einfach und ohne Bohren an nahezu jedem Fensterbrett montiert werden, da die Ausgleichselemente eventuelle Neigungen des Fensterbretts ausgleichen bzw auch eine Anpassung an unterschiedliche Querschnitte von Fensterbrettern erlauben.
