Description

The present invention relates to a passenger transport device, in particular an escalator or moving walk, with an auxiliary brake.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

Passenger conveyors such as escalators or moving walks are often used for the transport of large crowds. Escalators or moving walks are therefore often found in department stores, airports or underground stations.

Such escalators or moving walks usually have a stable support structure in the form of a carrier, in which are arranged connected to a rotating band conveyor elements and rotate. In the case of an escalator, this band is, for example, designed as a step band, in the case of a moving walk, for example, as a flat conveyor belt. This revolving belt is driven by means of a drive arranged in the carrier with a drive shaft around which the belt runs. Furthermore, usually a handrail is provided. Such a passenger conveyor is for example from the document SG 193697 A1 known.

Due to high loading forces that occur during operation of an escalator or moving walk and in particular act on the drive shaft, the carrier must be particularly stable in order to absorb and divert these large forces.

Particularly large forces act, for example, then on the carrier when the passenger conveyor is slowed down very quickly, for example. In an emergency.

In escalators or moving walks for a particularly narrow space, for example. In tunnels that lead to underground stations, or even to the arrangement of several escalators or moving walks next to each other, a particularly narrow design execution may be desired or even required.

In order nevertheless to be able to provide the widest possible area of use for persons, the support of the escalator or of the moving walkway has to be narrow, in particular on the side surfaces. However, this leads to problems with regard to the forces occurring during deceleration, which can then no longer be derived by the carrier.

It is therefore desirable to provide a passenger conveyor with a brake in which a light and / or narrow carrier can also be used.

Offenbarung der ErfindungDisclosure of the invention

According to the invention, a passenger transport device with the features of claim 1 is proposed. Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims and the following description.

A passenger transport device according to the invention, in particular an escalator or moving walk, has conveying elements connected to a revolving belt and a drive for the conveying elements, wherein the drive comprises at least one motor, one transmission and a drive shaft operatively connected to the engine via the transmission, and wherein the conveyance elements connected to a circulating belt are guided over the drive shaft and are movable by means of the drive shaft. The passenger conveyor further comprises a first carrier, in which the conveying elements connected to a circulating belt are guide-arranged, and a second carrier, in which the drive shaft of the drive is arranged, wherein the passenger conveyor device does not mechanically connect the first carrier to the second Carrier which transmits a majority of the forces acting on the drive during operation by the conveyor belt connected to a circulating belt on the first carrier, and wherein on the drive shaft, an auxiliary brake is arranged such that by means of the auxiliary brake to a braking force the drive shaft can be exercised.

In other words, in other words, the second carrier, on which substantially the forces which are caused during deceleration of the conveying elements connected to a circulating belt, is substantially decoupled from the first carrier in terms of power. Preferably, no component is present at all, which creates a mechanical connection between the first and the second carrier. However, should a component be used, for example for covering or covering or for alignment or adjustment or for guiding the Bandes, this serves in any case not to transfer substantial forces from the second carrier to the first carrier. The majority of the forces, ie more than 50%, preferably more than 75%, more preferably more than 80%, 90% or 95% of the forces are derived from the second carrier in its anchoring to the building or floor. Preferably, the auxiliary brake is also arranged on the second carrier. Thus, a force introduction into the first carrier can be substantially avoided even when operating the auxiliary brake.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the person conveyor device, the person conveyor device therefore has an external drive, in which the circulating band is also advantageously guided externally, so that advantageously no main shaft in the first carrier, ie the actual escrow carrier or moving platform carrier is located. Instead, this advantageous embodiment provides that the main shaft is arranged outboard, namely advantageously in the second carrier. Advantageously, an auxiliary brake is additionally placed on this outer main shaft. The main shaft is in particular the drive shaft which is in operative connection with the motor.

A passenger transport device according to the invention advantageously makes it possible to carry out the carrier in which the belt with the conveying elements, ie, a step belt, is arranged and on which persons can be carried, particularly light and narrow, since the forces acting upon actuation of the auxiliary brake Forces no longer be derived via this first carrier. Instead, the forces act essentially only on the second carrier, in which the drive shaft and the auxiliary brake are arranged.

Another advantage is a very easy accessibility and thus also interchangeability of the second carrier and the auxiliary brake arranged therein, since no, the drive and the auxiliary brake surrounding carrier is present as part of the entire passenger transport device.

Advantageously, the auxiliary brake on a pawl, which is arranged such that it can engage in a arranged on the drive shaft ratchet wheel (asymmetric teeth gear). The auxiliary brake therefore has a so-called ratchet. This is a particularly easy way to achieve a quick braking with the auxiliary brake.

It is advantageous if the auxiliary brake is released electromagnetically. Thus, the pawl, for example, via an emergency stop switch, which controls an electromagnet, are operated. Preferably, the second carrier is spaced from the first carrier in or against a conveying direction of the passenger conveyor. By such a spacing can be ensured that the forces acting on the second carrier act as little as possible on the first carrier, and that the space requirement remains small in width.

It is advantageous if the passenger transport device has no mechanical connection between the first carrier and the second carrier, which carries a weight of the second carrier, in particular with drive arranged therein. By avoiding such, even less stable connection between the first and second carrier, the power transmission from the second to the first carrier can be further reduced.

Preferably, the second carrier has fastening means for attachment to and / or in a floor or floor element. This allows a particularly simple and effective attachment of the second carrier, whereby the majority of the forces can be derived in the soil or the soil element.

Advantageously, the second carrier together with the fastening means is set up such that, when the auxiliary brake is actuated, forces acting on the drive shaft are conducted essentially into the floor or the floor element. This can be achieved, for example, by a suitable design of the second carrier and appropriate placement of the fastening means. The first carrier can thus be relieved of forces occurring during braking of the passenger transport device by means of the auxiliary brake - apart from weight forces of the first carrier and components arranged therein.

Preferably, the passenger conveyor further comprises a brake other than the auxiliary brake as a service brake. This allows, for example, a targeted design of the auxiliary brake as an emergency brake, while a service brake can be designed for permanent operation.

Advantageously, the service brake is arranged in the second carrier. The service brake may, for example, be mounted directly on a shaft of an engine. This allows a particularly compact arrangement of the entire drive including the service brake. In addition, then the service brake is easily accessible, eg. For maintenance.

It is advantageous if the drive for the passenger conveyor is arranged in the second carrier and at least one motor which is operatively connected via a gear to the drive shaft has. This allows a particularly compact arrangement of the entire drive including the auxiliary brake. In addition, then the other components of the drive are easily accessible, eg. For maintenance.

In FIG. 1 is schematically shown in side view as an escalator 100 passenger transport device, as is known in the art, shown. The escalator 100 has a support 110, which serves as a support structure for the entire escalator 100.

In the carrier conveying elements 151, which are connected to a circulating belt 150, arranged and mounted executable guide means not shown. By way of example, only two conveying elements 151, in the present case steps, are shown, which are connected to a band 150. In addition, individual, unspecified elements of a guide for a handrail of the escalator 100 are shown.

Furthermore, the escalator 100 has a drive 130 which in the present case consists of a motor 131 (for example an electric motor), a gearbox 133 and a drive shaft 140. The drive 130 is partially surrounded by a housing 145 and is arranged in total in the carrier 110 and fixed there or on this. The belt 150 with the steps 151 runs around the drive shaft 140 and is non-positively and / or positively connected thereto. The belt 150 can thus be moved by rotating the drive shaft 140.

The drive forms as it were a separate assembly around which the carrier 110 is built, so that the drive 130 is fixedly connected to the carrier 110. Here, it is crucial that the carrier 110 is stable, so that forces acting on the drive shaft 140 during operation of the escalator 100, can be well derived in and on the carrier 110. The support 110 is necessarily very wide (in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the drawing) due to the steel support elements required for stability.

Furthermore, an auxiliary brake 160 is shown schematically, which is arranged on the carrier 110 and when actuated, the drive shaft 140 brakes or stops. As a result of the arrangement on the carrier 110, the forces acting on actuation of the auxiliary brake are diverted into or via the carrier 110. A usually also existing service brake is the sake of clarity in FIG. 1 not shown and is usually located on the motor 131.

In FIG. 2 is an inventive, designed as an escalator 200 passenger transport device in a preferred embodiment shown in side view. The escalator 200 has a first carrier 210, in which conveyor elements 251, which are connected to a circulating belt 250, are arranged and mounted on guide means, not further shown. By way of example, only two conveying elements 251, in the present case steps, are shown, which are connected to a belt 250. In addition, individual, unspecified elements of a guide for a handrail of the escalator 200 are shown.

The first carrier 210 serves only as a support structure for the steps 251, or the belt 250 (as far as it runs within the first carrier 210), the belt 250 leading components and the handrail. The first carrier 210 is therefore constructed, for example, only from perforated plates, possibly with additional supports.

Furthermore, the escalator 200 has a drive 230, which is arranged in a second carrier 220. In the present case, the drive 230 has a motor 231 (for example an electric motor), a service brake 232 attached to the motor 231, a transmission 233 and a drive shaft 240.

The drive 230 is partially surrounded by a frame 245 or is arranged in the frame 245, which serves as a protection and stabilization for one, and on the other can transmit static forces, and is arranged in total in the second carrier 220 and secured thereto , The belt 250 with the steps 251 runs around the drive shaft 240 and is non-positively and / or positively connected thereto. The belt 250 can thus be moved by rotating the drive shaft 240.

Furthermore, an auxiliary brake 260 is schematically shown, which is arranged on the second carrier 220 and when actuated, the drive shaft 240 brakes or stops. As a result of the arrangement on the second carrier 220, the forces acting on actuation of the auxiliary brake are diverted into or via the second carrier 220. For a more detailed description of the auxiliary brake 260 is at this point FIG. 3 and the related description.

The escalator 200 does not have a mechanical connection, such as e.g. a carrier element, between the first carrier 210 and the second carrier 220, which transmits to the first carrier 210 a major part of the forces acting on the drive 230 as conveying elements during operation by the steps 251 connected to a circulating belt 250. Only the belt 250 with the steps 251 is guided from the first carrier 210 to the second carrier 220 and back again. For this purpose, although rails or similar. However, these are not used to transfer substantial forces from the second carrier 220 to the first carrier 210.

The second carrier 220 may now be fastened with its underside by means of fastening means in a floor element. For example. can be provided for screws. The first carrier 210, on the other hand, can be connected to the upper end (in FIG. 2 only the upper end, which is for example arranged on an upper floor, shown) rest on a floor element.

When the escalator 200 is slowed down by means of the auxiliary brake 260, forces act on the drive shaft 240 and on the auxiliary brake 260. The majority of these forces are now discharged into the ground via the second carrier 220 in the case of an escalator according to the invention. The first carrier 210 can therefore - as already mentioned above - be made very light and narrow. For example. the escalator can thus be led through a narrow tunnel. The second carrier 220, however, has a stable construction, for example. With steel support elements, so that the forces can be derived.

It should also be noted that in a passenger conveyor according to the invention also a simple connection that does not withstand the forces occurring or that does not support the first carrier, in particular with the drive, may be provided between the first carrier and the second carrier. Such a connection can, for example, serve as an assembly aid or as protection for the belt running between the first and the second carrier with the conveying elements. Such a simple, non-load-bearing connection still allows for a simple and lightweight first carrier that does not have to absorb forces from the drive shaft.

In the embodiment shown is also clearly the very easy accessibility and thus interchangeability of the second carrier 220 and the drive 230 and in particular also the auxiliary brake 260 to see, since no surrounding the drive carrier of the entire passenger transport device, such as in the in FIG. 1 shown escalator is the case, is present.

In FIG. 3 is the in FIG. 2 shown second carrier 220 with drive 230 and auxiliary brake 260 shown enlarged. In particular, the in FIG. 2 non-visible area around the drive shaft with the auxiliary brake 260 shown in more detail, which in the example shown has a catch of pawl 261 and ratchet wheel 242 ..

On the drive shaft 240, a gear 241 is arranged, on which the belt 250 is guided around the drive shaft 240. By the teeth of the gear 241 and a suitably formed band 250 thus a positive contact can be made, whereby the belt 250 and thus the conveying elements 251 can be moved.

Furthermore, on the drive shaft 240, the ratchet wheel 242 (another, smaller gear with asymmetrical teeth) is arranged, which serves as an attack for the pawl 261 of the auxiliary brake 260. The auxiliary brake in the present case has a support 262 fastened to the second carrier 220, which support is guided close to the gear 242. At the left upper end of the support 262, the pawl 261 is rotatably mounted.

The pawl 261 in turn is in the example shown with two pieces of cable, which are held together by means of an electromagnet 263, attached to the upper right end of the support 262. If the connection of the two pieces of rope is separated or loosened, for example by the electromagnet 263 being de-energized, then the pawl 261 falls on or into the ratchet wheel 242. Thus, a rotation of the drive shaft 240 is stopped more or less jerkily.

For controlling the electromagnet 263 and thus for actuating the auxiliary brake 260, one or more triggering devices, for example emergency stop switches, can be provided on or in the area of the escalator 200, which can be actuated by persons in an emergency.
