Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a sheet for protecting a formwork surface intended to frame a building material.
  • the invention also relates to a formwork installation equipped with at least one such sheet.
  • the invention also relates to a method of manufacturing and a method of implementing such a sheet.
  • the field of the invention is that of formwork equipment.
  • a formwork installation comprises a temporary enclosure provided for the shaping of a building material, such as concrete, reinforced or not.
  • a building material such as concrete, reinforced or not.
  • the material can be cement, plaster or adobe.
  • the concrete is poured and then kept in the enclosure during its setting and hardening.
  • the enclosure is delimited by forms provided with shuttering surfaces, generally in metal, wood or plywood, which are subjected to numerous constraints in service.
  • the shape and condition of the formwork surfaces define the final shape and condition of the concrete, after hardening and stripping.
  • the formwork surfaces are separated to release the concrete. If the concrete adheres to the formwork surfaces, its surface condition and even its integrity may be degraded. To facilitate formwork, it is therefore important that the formwork surfaces have as smooth a surface condition as possible, devoid of any roughness. However, the wear of the formwork surfaces increases over time. Thus, to further facilitate the formwork, it is known to coat the formwork surfaces with oil or formwork agent before pouring the concrete into the enclosure.
  • oils or form release agents are harmful to workers and pollute the soil in the vicinity of the construction site. Workers must be equipped with specific protections, such as a respiratory mask, goggles and a protective suit, which are not always used despite the corresponding risks and costs. Oil or form release agent should be applied between each formwork operation, which takes some time and requires special attention. If this step is carried out too quickly, oil or form release agent may leak to the ground, which is both a waste and a source of pollution for soils and groundwater. In addition, some parts of the shuttering surfaces may not be covered with oil or form release agent, and therefore adhere to the concrete.
  • GB 460 980 describes a formwork lining comprising at least one sheet of rubber, one of the surfaces of which is corrugated, rough or otherwise gives the surface of the concrete or other material with which it is used the desired contour, and which can be easily removed from the concrete without difficulty after use.
  • JPH 111 9913 A describes a sheet applied to a formwork surface which requires little cleaning effort and allows easy separation of the elements, comprising a front sheet made of a plastic or flexible rubber material, and a back sheet made with a magnetic rubber or magnetic plastic substance which magnetically attaches to a metal part of the formwork surface.
  • the front sheet is responsible for a very good surface condition for the cast concrete part.
  • the object of the present invention is to remedy the above drawbacks.
  • the subject of the invention is a sheet for protecting a formwork surface, intended to delimit a volume of concrete pouring and to frame a building material, characterized in that the sheet comprises at least: front layer, including at least one polymeric material and intended to be in contact with concrete in order to reduce wear and the formation of scratches on the formwork surface and to limit the adhesion of the concrete during formwork removal; and a rear adhesive layer, intended to be positioned against the formwork surface and to secure the sheet to the formwork surface, before the construction material is supplied.
  • the invention makes it possible to facilitate the formwork removal from the building material, while avoiding the use of harmful and polluting oils or formwork release agents.
  • the final surface condition of the material is improved. Workers no longer need restrictive protective equipment.
  • the site and surrounding soils are no longer polluted by oils or formwork agents.
  • the sheet can be quickly applied to the formwork surface.
  • the same sheet can be reused for several successive shuttering operations, for example five operations in succession, while remaining installed on the same shuttering surface, which saves time and therefore considerable money.
  • the same sheet resists contact with the building material for several days under site conditions (humidity, sunshine, abrasion, ).
  • a quick cleaning (light scraping with spatula, abrasive sponge or cloth) is enough to clean the sheet between two formwork operations, quickly and conveniently compared to a sequence of cleaning, scraping and oiling the formwork surface.
  • the invention makes it possible to avoid premature wear of the formwork, to improve its service life, and therefore to save money.
  • the sheet facilitates the flow of all types of concrete.
  • reinforced concrete construction the risk of accidentally applying oil or form release agent to metal reinforcement is eliminated.
  • several sheets can be used to fully cover the formwork surface.
  • the invention also relates to a formwork installation equipped with at least one sheet as mentioned above.
  • the installation can be vertical, in particular for making a wall, and include two shuttering surfaces arranged facing each other.
  • the installation is preferably equipped with at least two sheets arranged opposite and delimiting a formwork volume of the construction material.
  • the installation can be horizontal, in particular for making a floor or a ceiling, and include a single formwork surface arranged below the formwork volume.
  • it may include several sheets positioned on each formwork surface, delimiting the formwork volume.
  • the neighboring sheets can be connected together by strips of adhesive tape, or any other suitable means.
  • the front layer is made of plastic. If the sheet comprises several plastic layers, these layers can be produced simultaneously during step a1), in particular by multilayer extrusion.
  • the adhesive layer may consist of a double-sided adhesive film (preferably applied by lamination) or a volume of glue (preferably applied by coating).
  • step a2) is carried out after step a1).
  • the rear adhesive layer can be applied to the front plastic layer, or to another intermediate plastic layer, after the manufacture of the at least one plastic layer.
  • step a2) is carried out simultaneously with step a1).
  • the rear adhesive layer can be applied to the front plastic layer, or to another intermediate plastic layer, during the manufacture of the at least one plastic layer.
  • the adhesive layer can be applied in-line during extrusion.
  • FIG 1 shows the installation 1 devoid of protective sheets 10 according to the invention.
  • the figure 2 shows the installation 1 according to the invention, provided with protective sheets 10.
  • the installation 1 comprises two forms 2 arranged opposite, a handling gantry 3, protective barriers 4 and support struts 5.
  • the forms 2 are also called shuttering panels.
  • the forms 2 are provided with formwork surfaces 6, or formwork surfaces 6, arranged facing each other and delimiting a volume 8 of concrete pouring.
  • the gantry or compass 3 is provided to stabilize the formwork 2 during the formwork and allow their lifting vis-à-vis during the formwork.
  • the barriers 4 are arranged in the upper part of the forms 2, to avoid the accidental fall of an operator.
  • the struts 5 are arranged on the rear of the forms 2 to stiffen the assembly, in particular during the pouring of concrete into the volume 8.
  • the installation 1 may include other devices, not shown for the purpose of simplification.
  • the formwork surfaces 6 are provided with several protective sheets 10 according to the invention.
  • the sheets 10 are arranged side by side, with strips 16 of adhesive tape arranged between them. Together, the sheets 10 and the strips 16 form a protective cover 18 applied to the same surface 6.
  • the sheet 10 has a generally rectangular shape delimited by an upper edge 11, a lower edge 12, a left edge 13 and a right edge 14.
  • the strips 16 are positioned on the surface 6 to partially cover the right edge 14 of a first sheet 10 and the left edge 13 of a neighboring second sheet 10, so that the cover 18 completely covers the surface 6.
  • first, concrete could be introduced between the surface 6 and the sheet 10 during casting.
  • Second, the concrete could adhere to surface 6 during formwork removal.
  • the strips 16 can be formed by an adhesive adhesive film of acrylic polypropylene. According to a possible but not preferred variant, the sheets 10 can overlap without strips 16 interposed between them.
  • the sheet 10 has a height H10 defined vertically between its edges 11 and 12, a width L10 defined horizontally between its edges 13 and 14, and a thickness e10 defined horizontally between a front face 22 and a rear face 54.

  • the sheet 10 is designed to effectively protect the formwork surface 6, intended to frame the building material.
  • the sheet 10 comprises different layers 20, 30, 40 and 50, which have respective thicknesses e20, e30, e40 and e50.
  • the layers 20, 30 and 40 are made from a polymer material, optionally comprising fillers, plasticizers and additives. In other words, the layers 20, 30 and 40 comprise at least one polymeric material. Preferably, the layers 20, 30 and 40 are made of plastic.

Description

The present invention relates to a sheet for protecting a formwork surface intended to frame a building material. The invention also relates to a formwork installation equipped with at least one such sheet. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing and a method of implementing such a sheet. The field of the invention is that of formwork equipment.

In known manner, a formwork installation comprises a temporary enclosure provided for the shaping of a building material, such as concrete, reinforced or not. According to other nonlimiting examples, the material can be cement, plaster or adobe.

During the formwork operation, the concrete is poured and then kept in the enclosure during its setting and hardening. The enclosure is delimited by forms provided with shuttering surfaces, generally in metal, wood or plywood, which are subjected to numerous constraints in service. The shape and condition of the formwork surfaces define the final shape and condition of the concrete, after hardening and stripping.

During the formwork operation, the formwork surfaces are separated to release the concrete.

However, commonly used oils or form release agents are harmful to workers and pollute the soil in the vicinity of the construction site. In the case of reinforced concrete construction, if oil or form release agent is accidentally applied to metal reinforcement, the adhesion between concrete and reinforcement is greatly reduced and the integrity of the building material may be degraded. GB 460 980 describes a formwork lining comprising at least one sheet of rubber, one of the surfaces of which is corrugated, rough or otherwise gives the surface of the concrete or other material with which it is used the desired contour, and which can be easily removed from the concrete without difficulty after use.

JPH 111 9913 A describes a sheet applied to a formwork surface which requires little cleaning effort and allows easy separation of the elements, comprising a front sheet made of a plastic or flexible rubber material, and a back sheet made with a magnetic rubber or magnetic plastic substance which magnetically attaches to a metal part of the formwork surface. The front sheet is responsible for a very good surface condition for the cast concrete part.

The object of the present invention is to remedy the above drawbacks.

To this end, the subject of the invention is a sheet for protecting a formwork surface, intended to delimit a volume of concrete pouring and to frame a building material, characterized in that the sheet comprises at least: front layer, including at least one polymeric material and intended to be in contact with concrete in order to reduce wear and the formation of scratches on the formwork surface and to limit the adhesion of the concrete during formwork removal; and a rear adhesive layer, intended to be positioned against the formwork surface and to secure the sheet to the formwork surface, before the construction material is supplied.

Thus, the invention makes it possible to facilitate the formwork removal from the building material, while avoiding the use of harmful and polluting oils or formwork release agents. The final surface condition of the material is improved. Workers no longer need restrictive protective equipment. The site and surrounding soils are no longer polluted by oils or formwork agents. The sheet can be quickly applied to the formwork surface. The same sheet can be reused for several successive shuttering operations, for example five operations in succession, while remaining installed on the same shuttering surface, which saves time and therefore considerable money. In addition, the same sheet resists contact with the building material for several days under site conditions (humidity, sunshine, abrasion, ...). A quick cleaning (light scraping with spatula, abrasive sponge or cloth) is enough to clean the sheet between two formwork operations, quickly and conveniently compared to a sequence of cleaning, scraping and oiling the formwork surface. As the construction material is no longer in direct contact with the formwork surfaces, the invention makes it possible to avoid premature wear of the formwork, to improve its service life, and therefore to save money. The sheet facilitates the flow of all types of concrete. In the case of reinforced concrete construction, the risk of accidentally applying oil or form release agent to metal reinforcement is eliminated. In the case of a metal formwork, it is no longer necessary to wash the formwork surfaces completely at very high pressure and to sand them after a site, which represents an additional time saving during the storage of the formwork and further improves their lifetime. In the case of different formwork sizes, several sheets can be used to fully cover the formwork surface.

Depending on the dimensions of the formwork installation, it may include several sheets positioned on each formwork surface, delimiting the formwork volume. In this case, the neighboring sheets can be connected together by strips of adhesive tape, or any other suitable means.

  • a1) fabriquer la couche avant, de préférence par extrusion ;

  • a1) fabricating the front layer, preferably by extrusion;
  • a2) apply the back adhesive layer, in particular by lamination or coating, to form the sheet.

Preferably, the front layer is made of plastic. If the sheet comprises several plastic layers, these layers can be produced simultaneously during step a1), in particular by multilayer extrusion.

Generally, step a2) is carried out after step a1). In other words, the rear adhesive layer can be applied to the front plastic layer, or to another intermediate plastic layer, after the manufacture of the at least one plastic layer.

Alternatively, step a2) is carried out simultaneously with step a1). In other words, the rear adhesive layer can be applied to the front plastic layer, or to another intermediate plastic layer, during the manufacture of the at least one plastic layer. For example, the adhesive layer can be applied in-line during extrusion.

  • la figure 1 est une vue en perspective d'une installation de coffrage, comprenant deux banches pourvues de surfaces de coffrage ;

The invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows, given solely by way of nonlimiting example and made with reference to the appended drawings in which:
  • the figure 1 is a perspective view of a formwork installation, comprising two forms provided with formwork surfaces;
  • the figure 2 is a view analogous to the figure 1 , the formwork surfaces being equipped with a set of protective sheets according to the invention;
  • the figure 3 is a front view of the protective sheets of the figure 2 ;
  • the figure 4 is a side view of a protective sheet, according to arrow IV on the figure 3 ; and
  • the figure 5 is a view analogous to the figure 4 , showing a protective sheet according to a second embodiment of the invention; and
  • the figure 6 is a view analogous to the figure 4 , showing a protective sheet according to a third embodiment of the invention.

La figure 2 montre l'installation 1 conforme à l'invention, pourvue de feuilles de protection 10.On the Figures 1 and 2 a formwork installation 1 is shown. figure 1 shows the installation 1 devoid of protective sheets 10 according to the invention. The figure 2 shows the installation 1 according to the invention, provided with protective sheets 10.

The installation 1 comprises two forms 2 arranged opposite, a handling gantry 3, protective barriers 4 and support struts 5. The forms 2 are also called shuttering panels. The forms 2 are provided with formwork surfaces 6, or formwork surfaces 6, arranged facing each other and delimiting a volume 8 of concrete pouring. The gantry or compass 3 is provided to stabilize the formwork 2 during the formwork and allow their lifting vis-à-vis during the formwork. The barriers 4 are arranged in the upper part of the forms 2, to avoid the accidental fall of an operator. The struts 5 are arranged on the rear of the forms 2 to stiffen the assembly, in particular during the pouring of concrete into the volume 8. The installation 1 may include other devices, not shown for the purpose of simplification.

As shown to figures 2 and 3 , due to their dimensions, the formwork surfaces 6 are provided with several protective sheets 10 according to the invention. The sheets 10 are arranged side by side, with strips 16 of adhesive tape arranged between them. Together, the sheets 10 and the strips 16 form a protective cover 18 applied to the same surface 6.

The sheet 10 has a generally rectangular shape delimited by an upper edge 11, a lower edge 12, a left edge 13 and a right edge 14. The strips 16 are positioned on the surface 6 to partially cover the right edge 14 of a first sheet 10 and the left edge 13 of a neighboring second sheet 10, so that the cover 18 completely covers the surface 6. In fact, if certain parts of the surface 6 are not covered, two problems may arise. First, concrete could be introduced between the surface 6 and the sheet 10 during casting. Second, the concrete could adhere to surface 6 during formwork removal. By way of example, the strips 16 can be formed by an adhesive adhesive film of acrylic polypropylene. According to a possible but not preferred variant, the sheets 10 can overlap without strips 16 interposed between them.

L'ensemble présente une largeur L18, par exemple de l'ordre de 4000 mm, correspondant à la largeur de la surface coffrante 3.The sheet 10 has a height H10 defined vertically between its edges 11 and 12, a width L10 defined horizontally between its edges 13 and 14, and a thickness e10 defined horizontally between a front face 22 and a rear face 54. As examples nonlimiting, the height H10 is of the order of 2800 mm (millimeters), the width L10 is of the order of 625 mm and the thickness e10 of the order of 0.8 mm. Preferably, the thickness e10 of the sheet 10 is greater than 0.2 mm and less than 2 mm. As a variant, the thickness e10 can be less than 0.2 mm or more than 2 mm. The strips 16 have a width L16, for example of the order of 38 mm. The assembly has a width L18, for example of the order of 4000 mm, corresponding to the width of the formwork surface 3.

The sheet 10 is designed to effectively protect the formwork surface 6, intended to frame the building material. The sheet 10 comprises different layers 20, 30, 40 and 50, which have respective thicknesses e20, e30, e40 and e50. The layers 20, 30 and 40 are made from a polymer material, optionally comprising fillers, plasticizers and additives. In other words, the layers 20, 30 and 40 comprise at least one polymeric material. Preferably, the layers 20, 30 and 40 are made of plastic. The layer 20 is the front layer or outer layer of the sheet 10. The layers 30 and 40 are the intermediate layers of the sheet 10. The layer 50 is the back layer or inner layer of the sheet 10, made of adhesive material. By way of example, the thicknesses e20, e30 and e40 are of the order of 0.27 mm, while the thickness e50 is of the order of 0.02 mm.

The layers 20, 30, 40 and 50 have different planar faces linked together. The layer 20 has a front face 22 and a rear face 24. The layer 30 has a front face 32 and a rear face 34. The layer 40 has a front face 42 and a rear face 44. The layer 50 has a front face 52 and a rear face 54. The face 24 is secured to the face 32, the face 34 is secured to the face 42 and the face 44 is secured to the face 52. The intimate connection between the layers 20, 30 and 40 is made during of their manufacture, while the connection between the layers 40 and 50 is carried out when the layer 50 is applied to the layer 40, in particular by lamination or coating.

The layers 20, 30 and 40 can be made of polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene, PVC, resin, composite of different polymers and / or other materials, plastic material of plant origin or any other material suitable for intended application. Preferably, the layers 20, 30 and 40 are produced together during the same extrusion operation. Preferably also, the sheet 10 is produced in individual format, and not in the form of a cutting roll. The dimensions of the sheet 10 or of a series of sheets 10 can be easily adapted to the dimensions of the surface 6 to be protected.

The layer 20 is intended to be placed in contact with the building material, opposite the surface 6, during a formwork operation. On the example of figures 2 and 3 , the front faces 22 of the different sheets 10 and those of the strips 16 border the concrete poured into the volume 8. The layer 20 is designed to have a damping effect when the concrete is poured, in order to reduce wear and the formation of stripes on surface 6. Layer 20 is also designed to limit the adhesion of concrete during formwork.

Layer 30 is a wear indicator layer, produced with a different color from layers 20 and 40, or at least different from layer 20. Layer 30 provides a wear indicator function: after several uses of the sheet 10 , the front face 32 of the layer 30 appears when the layer 20 is worn or scratched. The wear of the sheet 10 can therefore be detected visually by the workers, after a certain number of uses, for example after four or five successive forms. Alternatively, the control function of the layer 30 can be achieved by any means suitable for the intended application, other than a color difference.

Les couches 30 et/ou 40 peuvent être conçues pour rigidifier ou assouplir légèrement la feuille 10, en fonction du choix des matières plastiques et des épaisseurs e30 et e40.The layer 40 is designed to facilitate the adhesion of the layer 50 to the face 44, for example by adding a specific additive and / or by texturing the face 44 using one or more textured metal rollers. In this case, the rollers press on the face 44 during the extrusion or after the extrusion. The layers 30 and / or 40 can be designed to stiffen or slightly soften the sheet 10, depending on the choice of plastics and thicknesses e30 and e40.

Furthermore, different additives can be used in the composition of the plastic layers 20, 30 and 40, in order to modify the properties of the sheet 10. For example, the plastic layers (preferably only the layer 40) can incorporate metallic pigments for improve the magnetic power of the magnets, when fitting form dummies or templates at the formwork installation. According to another example, the plastic layers (preferably only the layer 20 and / or the layer 40) can comprise an additive for protection against UVs (ultraviolet), making it possible to improve the resistance of the sheet 10 to UVs, in particular during of its storage. According to another example, the plastic layers (preferably only the layer 20) may comprise an elastifying additive, to increase their elasticity and therefore their capacity for absorbing shocks. According to another example, the plastic layers (preferably only the layer 20) may include a stiffening additive, to control their hardness. According to another example, the plastic layers may include an additive to limit their deformation under the effect of temperature changes, in particular during formwork or during storage. According to another example, the plastic layers can comprise an antistatic additive.

The adhesive layer 50 is intended to be positioned against the surface 6, to secure the sheet 10 to the surface 6, before the construction material is brought into the volume 8 between the forms 2, during the shuttering operation. More specifically, the face 54 is provided to adhere to the surface 6. The layer 50 can be presented as a film double-sided adhesive, or a volume of glue applied to layer 40 by coating. The layer 50 is designed to remain attached to the layer 40 when the sheet 10 is detached from the surface 6. In other words, the face 52 remains attached to the face 44 when the face 54 is detached from the surface 6. De preferably also, the layer 50 extends over the entire sheet 10, in other words over the entire face 44 of the layer 40. Alternatively, the layer 50 extends partially over the sheet 10, in other words over only one part of the layer 40. Preferably, the layer 50 is applied to the layer 40 after the extrusion of the layers 20, 30 and 40. Alternatively, the layer 50 can be applied in line during the extrusion operation. Advantageously, during the manufacture of the sheet 10, the face 54 of the layer 50 can be covered with a protective film provided with a tongue.

On the example of figures 2 and 3 , each of the sheets 10 has a central hole 60, crossing between the faces 22 and 54. The holes 60 are provided for the passage of holding keys, that is to say transverse pieces arranged in the volume 8 to support the formwork 2. The holes 60 are preferably pre-drilled during the manufacture of the sheet 10. In a variant not shown, the same sheet 10 may have several holes 60.

The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a sheet 10. The method comprises a step a1) consisting in manufacturing the layers 20, 30 and 40, preferably by extrusion. The method also includes a step a2) of applying layer 50 on layer 40 to form the sheet 10. Generally, step a2) is carried out after step a1). Alternatively, step a2) is carried out simultaneously with step a1). The method can also include a step a3), consisting in marking the sheet 10 with a particular pattern, for example shapes, designs, trademarks, logos or any other graphic creation. In particular, the pattern is marked on the layer 20, for example by passing the sheet 10 through a press or under a roller. Thus, the pattern can be printed on the concrete surface during the formwork operation.

The subject of the invention is also a method of implementing a sheet 10. The method comprises a step b1), consisting in positioning the layer 50 against the surface 6, so as to secure the sheet 10 and the surface 6, before pouring concrete. The method then comprises a step b2), consisting in carrying out the formwork by pouring the concrete in contact with the layer 20. The method also comprises a formwork removal step b3), carried out after step b2), consisting in removing the concrete having its final form. The method may include a step b0), carried out before step b1), consisting in pre-drilling the through hole 60 and / or cutting the edges 11, 12, 13 and 14 of the sheet 10 according to the dimensions of the surface 6. The method may also include a step b4), carried out between steps b1) and b2), consisting in positioning jointing strips 16 between adjacent sheets 10. The process can also include other preparatory steps before the shuttering step b2), as well as other steps after steps b2) and b3).

In the context of the invention, the construction material used for the formwork can be concrete or any other material suitable for the intended application. La couche adhésive 50 est appliquée sur la couche témoin 30.On the figure 5 , the sheet 10 comprises a front plastic layer 20, a control layer 30 and an adhesive layer 50, but no intermediate plastic layer 40. The adhesive layer 50 is applied to the control layer 30.

On the example of Figures 1 and 2 , the shuttering surfaces 6 are vertical and substantially planar. In a variant not shown, a formwork surface can be horizontal or inclined. According to another variant, a formwork surface can be concave or convex, and not planar.

According to another variant not shown, the sheet 10 can be thermoformed to give it a particular configuration adapted to the intended application. A wide variety of shapes of the building material can thus be obtained after formwork.

Whatever the embodiment, the sheet 10 comprises at least: a plastic layer before 20, including at least one polymeric material and intended to be in contact with the building material; and a rear adhesive layer 50, intended to be positioned against the formwork surface 6 and to secure the sheet 10 to the formwork surface 6, before the construction material is supplied.

In addition, the technical characteristics of the various embodiments and variants mentioned above may be, in whole or for some of them, combined together. Thus, the sheet 10 can be adapted in terms of cost and performance.
