L'objet de la présente invention est la mise au point d'une prothèse de resurfaçage exempte de métal, combinant les avantages d'une opération épargnant l'os avec ceux d'un matériau biocompatible, et présentant une usure réduite des surfaces de glissement et un ancrage excellent et stable à long terme dans l'os. À cet effet, ladite prothèse de resurfaçage est caractérisée par la présence d'une garniture poreuse permettant l'ostéointégration, constituée d'un seul tenant avec ladite prothèse, et par le fait que ladite prothèse de resurfaçage est en céramique intégrale.
