The invention relates to the field of mechanical or electronic watches comprising energy recharging means by conversion of voluntary or involuntary movements performed by the user.

Arrière-plan de l'inventionBackground of the invention

Mechanical watches are often divided into two categories: those whose winding is done manually, and those with an oscillating weight allowing automatic winding.

If the watches of the second category are presented as being more technologically advanced, the manual watches have many advantages even today: a smaller size, the silence of operation by the absence of rolling noise, the absence of sensation of unbalance on the wrist, complete visibility of the bottom side movement, and less wear on the barrel. In addition, some users are attached to the ritual of manually winding their watch.

Some users must therefore make a sometimes difficult choice between the practical aspects of a self-winding watch and the traditional and emotional advantages of manual winding. There is no watch on the market that has either a system or the other at the free choice of the user.

The oscillating masses of automatic winding still occupy a large volume inside the box, which can only contain a number limited number of complications. This is the reason why watches with big complications are rarely self-winding watches.

The document WO2009 / 044027 A2 in the name of CELSIUS discloses a mobile phone, comprising a mechanical winding watch, where a mechanical reassembly device, disengageable in the closed position, exempts the user from manual winding by exploiting the kinetic energy, including the opening of the main valve or a cache battery, the sliding of a screen, access to a specific function by pivot or sliding of the watch, or the simple movement of the laptop, by a mechanism housed in a hinge or in a slide. This phone combined with a watch is monobloc or articulated.

The document CH 705938 A1 in the name of ULYSSE NARDIN describes a timepiece comprising a planetary gear train for transferring energy from the input of the planetary gear train to the output of the planetary gear train, comprising a double-satellite planetary gear train, with a carrier arm of one or two cooperating solar wheels. each with a wheel or a crown oriented on the axis of rotation of the arm. This mechanism can also ensure the disengagement of the manual winding mechanism.

The document WO2014 / 166719 in the name of The SWATCH GROUP RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Ltd. discloses a static device for winding automatic watches, comprising a power supply means or an electric accumulator, and a receptacle support having a bearing surface for receiving the bottom of 'a watch. The document FR 1 546 744 A in the name of MOUTSCHEN describes an automatic watch, which includes a particular winding device with removal of the traditional mechanical winding and time setting wheel. The setting of this watch, including the racket, is possible by magnetic influence through the box, as the control of a winding inverter. This document cites, without detailing, a mechano-magnetic winding, by a magnetic knob outside the box, which requires a voluntary manual rotation movement similar to that applied to the knob of a lighter, which probably requires the removal of the watch. It is therefore a manual winding different from the known systems.

The document WO02 / 44818 in the name of TAG HEUER describes a watch case with a caseband, a rotating bezel on the outside of this caseband. Description détaillée des modes de réalisation préférésDetailed Description of the Preferred Embodiments

The invention proposes to make an additional automatic winding module, removable and able to be very easily installed or deposited by the user himself. It concerns all watches comprising a manual winding mechanism, able to store mechanical energy or to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. In particular the invention is very easily applicable to all watches with a traditional winding mechanism, by a rod operated by a crown.

According to the invention, the transformation of a manual winding watch into a self-winding watch executes in a simple way: adding to the watch case, at the bottom, the bezel or its periphery, an optional module containing at least one oscillating mass.

Thus, the invention relates to a set consisting of a watch and at least one additional automatic winding mechanism, the watch 1 comprising a box 10 containing a movement 20, and at least one energy accumulator 30, which is recharged in energy by at least one winding mechanism 40. The watch 1 is arranged to receive, fixed on the box 10 or on a bracelet 50 or on a trim component 60 of the watch 1 disposed in the immediate vicinity of the box 10, at least one additional automatic winding mechanism 100, which is intended to be worn at the same time as the watch 1 by a user.

In an advantageous variant of the invention, this additional automatic winding mechanism 100 comprises at least one mobile transmitter 110, which is arranged to cooperate without contact with at least one mobile receiver 41 that includes such a winding mechanism 40, in an interaction remote. This remote interaction is carried out under the action of at least one field, in the air gap E situated between this at least one mobile transmitter 110 and this at least one mobile receiver 41. The intensity of this at least one field, and the maximum gap distance E, are defined to enable transmission to at least one mobile receiver 41, for the energy recharge of at least one energy accumulator 30, a couple or a user-printed effort at least one mobile transmitter 110.

This couple or this effort can result from a voluntary movement of the user, such as the operation of a telescope, a pusher, or other, or an involuntary movement, as used in the winding mechanisms automatic oscillating weight well known to those skilled in the art.

L'ensemble peut comporter plusieurs tels mécanismes additionnels de remontage automatique 100.The assembly may include several such additional mechanisms of automatic winding 100.

Selon l'invention, au moins un de ces mécanismes additionnels de remontage automatique 100 est amovible par rapport à la boîte 10.According to the invention, at least one of these additional automatic winding mechanisms 100 is removable relative to the box 10.

In a first variant of the invention, the watch 1 is a mechanical or electronic watch, the movement 20 of which is mechanical or electronic, and of which at least one energy accumulator 30 comprises at least one spring-loaded barrel 31.

In another variant of the invention, the watch 1 is an electronic watch, whose movement is electronic or electromechanical, and of which at least one energy accumulator 30 is powered by a mechanical energy converter into electrical energy.

In another variant of the invention, the watch 1 is an electronic watch, the movement of which is electronic or electromechanical, and of which at least one energy accumulator 30 comprises at least one spring-loaded barrel 31.

The field allowing the remote interaction between a mobile transmitter 110 and a mobile receiver 41 is preferably a magnetic field, or an electrostatic field.

In the particular embodiments illustrated by the nonlimiting figures, the watch 1 comprises at least one pair formed by such a mobile transmitter 110 and such a mobile receiver 41, at least one of which is magnetized. The mobile transmitter 110 is magnetized or ferromagnetic, and arranged to cooperate in magnetic interaction with the receiving mobile 41 which is ferromagnetic or magnetized.

More particularly, within at least one such pair, both the mobile transmitter 110 and the mobile receiver 41 are magnetized, as visible on the figures 1 , 2 , 9 and 10 , where the mobile transmitter 110 comprises at least one transmitting polar mass 101, and wherein the mobile receiver 41 comprises at least one receiving polar mass 401.

The pivoting of these mobiles is not detailed, the figure 1 shows a ball-bearing pivoting 102, 402, of the mobile transmitter 110 relative to a core 103 fixed by a screw 105 to a flange 104, and the mobile receiver 41 relative to a core 12 fixed to the box 10.

In a first embodiment, as visible on the figures 1 , 2 , and 9 within such a pair, the mobile transmitter 110 and the mobile receiver 41 have one another pole masses 101 and 401, which have air gap surfaces 111, respectively 411, substantially all parallel to each other and opposite polarities. If these polar masses are equal in number and of uniform distribution, they tend to align, as visible on the figure 9 .

Les masses polaires tendent alors à se mettre en quinconce, tel que visible sur la figure 10.In another embodiment, as visible on the figure 10 , the mobile transmitter 110 and the mobile receiver 41 have one another pole masses 101 and 401, which have air gap surfaces 111, respectively 411, substantially all parallel to each other and the same polarity. The polar masses tend to become staggered, as visible on the figure 10 .

But it is understood that it is sufficient that a single transmitting polar mass 101 acts as a trainer of a receiving polar mass 411, in the manner of a knock on a lathe, to put the mobile receiver 41 in motion. Of course, the better the coupling between the transmitting polar masses 101 and the receiving polar masses 411, the better the training carried out, whether this coupling is carried out in alignment as on the figure 9 , or alternately on the figure 10 .

In a particular embodiment, the assembly comprises at least one pair formed of a mobile transmitter 110 and a mobile receiver 41, in which the couple is cooperating in an axial direction with respect to a main axis of the box. 10.

The figures 1 , 2 , 9, and 10 illustrate particular cases where the different field lines are parallel to each other, and preferably parallel to a main axis that includes the box 10, which is the axis of the movement 20 if it is mechanical, the main axis of referral, or an axis of symmetry of a part of the machining or bracelet attachments by horns or the like. This configuration corresponds to the examples of axial positioning of the additional automatic winding mechanism 100, illustrated in FIGS. Figures 3 to 7 .

Other geometries are possible, especially the case of a mobile transmitter 110 and a receiver mobile 41 both annular, as visible on the figure 7 .

Thus, in a particular embodiment, the assembly comprises at least one pair formed of a mobile transmitter 110 and a mobile receiver 41, which are substantially annular and coaxial with respect to a main axis of the box 10, in which couples the cooperation is tangentially with respect to a cylinder or a cone axis of revolution parallel or coincident with the main axis of the box 10, so as to allow reassembly by a voluntary or involuntary action of the user.

The figure 8 illustrates a particular example of such an embodiment, where the additional mechanism of automatic winding 100 takes the form of a telescope attached around the box 10, and incorporating an annular oscillating mass 120. Advantageously, this telescope is, again, a magnetic bezel, as described in the European application EP14185439.8 in the name of MONTRES BREGUET SA. It is then possible to remove the winding crown, which chronically poses difficult sealing problems, especially for diving watches. It should be noted that the other conventional functions, time setting, chronograph trigger, reset or other, can be performed similarly by contactless systems.

The user can, thus, choose to reassemble his watch, or classically by the crown, or by rotating the bezel, or by wearing it.

More particularly, the different polar masses may be arranged radially, or tangentially, with respect to a disk or a ring that carries them. Thus, in a particular case, within such a pair, the mobile transmitter 110 comprises transmitting polar masses whose main field lines are coplanar in a transmitter plane, and the mobile receiver 41 comprises polar receptor masses whose lines main fields are coplanar in a receiver plane, and where the air gap between the mobile transmitter 110 and the mobile receiver 41 is a cylindrical volume defined by the emitter plane and the receiving plane which are parallel to each other.

Many other configurations are possible, they are dictated to the manufacturer by the space available in the box 10. One of the aims of the invention is to release a mechanical watch, self-winding type by oscillating weight, the important volume occupied by the latter, by carrying this function outside the watch box. It is therefore a question of privileging, for the positioning the mobile receiver or 41, the use of spaces not conducive to the receipt of complications or accessories.

As visible on the figures 1 , 2 , 6, 7, and 8 the additional automatic winding mechanism 100 advantageously comprises at least one oscillating mass 120, which is movable under the action of the movements of the user of the assembly, and which constitutes such a mobile transmitter 110 as on the figures 1 and 6 , or which constitutes driving means for driving in pivoting or in rotation or in translation of at least one such mobile transmitter 110 as on the figures 2 and 7 , where the oscillating mass 120 meshes with a reducer 114, which constitutes the mobile transmitter 110.

Preferably, as visible on the figure 2 , the winding mechanism 40 comprises, downstream of a ratchet 42 directly supplying energy such an energy accumulator 30, a gear wheel 43 which comprises, opposite this ratchet 42, disengaging means 44, by friction or other, downstream of which is located at least one such mobile receiver 41, close to the inner periphery of the box 10. In the variant of figures 1 and 2 , the receiving mobile 41 is as close to a bottom 15, which is advantageously transparent to show the mechanism. The winding mechanism 40 may comprise any conventional component of an automatic winding mechanism, such as inverting wheels, a ratchet, well known to those skilled in the art.

In a particular variant, the winding mechanism 40 comprises such a ratchet 42 directly supplying energy to an energy accumulator 30, and which constitutes a mobile receiver 41. This solution seems to be of little advantage because of the absence of gear reduction, compared to the variant comprising a reduction gear train 43, but it is however usable, insofar as the torque transmissible by the contactless interaction is sufficient to directly go up the barrel and the energy transformed by the movement of an oscillating weight is always excess in relation to the storage capacities of a cylinder.

The invention makes it possible to free up a large part of the internal volume of the box 10, which must no longer be reserved for an oscillating weight, and to accommodate other functionalities or complications, for example in the form of additional modules. In particular, it is possible to implement a sound or musical module, comprising a ringer barrel or the like, which can advantageously also be supplied with energy by an additional automatic winding mechanism 100 according to the invention.

Therefore, it is often advantageous to show the user the mechanisms in operation inside the box 10. For this purpose, when the additional automatic winding mechanism 100 is pressed against the bottom of the box 10, this the latter preferably has a transparent bottom, and the additional automatic winding mechanism 100 comprises, on either side of all of the emitters 110 that it comprises, at least two windows 115, 116 of which at least one is arranged to be arranged as close as possible to the transparent bottom, as visible on the figures 1 and 2 . It is thus possible to visualize both the mechanisms contained in the box 10, and the contents of the additional automatic winding mechanism 100 itself.

The box 10 comprises assembly means 13, and at least one additional automatic winding mechanism 100 comprises complementary assembly means 113 for its positioning and secure fastening on the box 10. The left part of the figure 1 illustrates an example of fastening by screwing between a thread 13A and a thread 113A, while the right part of the same figure shows an example of clip fastening between two complementary lips 13B and 113B.

In a particular embodiment, the box 10 comprises indexing means 12 and such assembly means 13, and at least one additional automatic winding mechanism 100 comprises complementary indexing means 112 and complementary assembly means 113 for its positioning and secure fastening on the box 10. A particular embodiment, in no way limiting, is the type of bayonet attachment similar to that of a camera lens, with a relative positioning in alignment complementary marks which are these indexing means 12 and these complementary indexing means 112, a front insertion, and a rotation to a locking position on a spring ball or the like. The figure 2 illustrates another example of clip fastening, with a lip 13 in fir section cooperating with a housing 113 having a plurality of parallel grooves.

An advantage of the invention consists in the removable nature of the additional automatic winding mechanism 100, which allows easier interventions inside the box 10, whose access can be easily released. However, it may be advantageous, and especially when the assembly comprises several additional mechanisms of automatic winding 100, at least one of these additional mechanisms of automatic winding 100 is fixed to the box 10 in a way that can not be dismantled.

Particularly and advantageously, the additional mechanism of automatic winding 100 constitutes a removable removable block without any opening. This sealing is in particular provided by seals 106, 107. The removable block may, again, be completely welded or bonded over its entire periphery, and no intervention is necessary, or even possible, within this block.

Particulièrement, des moyens d'étanchéité 11 relient le fond 15 et la boîte 10.In particular, the box 10 constitutes a sealed block free of any opening. In particular, sealing means 11 connect the bottom 15 and the box 10.

In sum, the additional automatic winding mechanism 100 that comprises an assembly according to the invention, is designed as an additional and optional module, allowing to deport an automatic winding function outside the watch box, and therefore in the development of variants based on an existing watch, to release from the box 10 the space usually devolved to the oscillating weight, and to use this space to accommodate other complications or significantly thin the product.

The advantage of a contactless coupling system, particularly magnetic, is that it eliminates the complexity of adding the automatic winding module by the user. The operation does not affect the tightness of the watch, because there is no operation to be performed on the watch case. The magnetic coupling can be achieved with magnets in attraction or repulsion. Optional additional shielding is recommended to close the magnetic circuit and minimize leakage.

The sizing of such a magnetic coupling, with small emitter and receiver mobiles, typically with a diameter of the order of 10 mm, preferably comprising from 3 to 12 neodymium-iron-boron magnets, is perfectly compatible with optimal operation during small accelerations typical of a normal wear. Even though the magnetic coupling can being subject to a stall in case of sudden acceleration, there is no damage, since at most the watch is not rearmed during the first high-speed turns of the oscillating weight. It is known that in practice, a self-winding watch to wear is often armed to the maximum, we can tolerate a system less effective than the mechanical coupling. In such a case, the traditional slipping flange of the automatic barrel springs can be omitted, which is an advantage.

In another variant, the coupling system between a gearbox of the optional module and a gearbox of the winding mechanism, or of the movement, in the watch case is made by an additional automatic winding mechanism, which comprises a direct mechanical coupling, by gear, gear or the like. The internal arrangement of the additional mechanism may be the same as that described above for the non-contact variant, in particular with an oscillating mass. The mobile transmitter 110 is then replaced by a drive mobile, which cooperates in conventional mechanical drive with an input mobile located in the watch, and which replaces the mobile receiver 41.
