Description

CONTEXTE ET ARRIERE-PLAN TECHNOLOGIQUEBACKGROUND AND TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND

The present invention relates to the field of containers buried in a pit. More specifically, the invention relates to a system for receiving a buried container comprising a pit comprising a bottom and side walls delimiting inside a receiving space for a container, said pit being open on its upper part.

The development of waste recovery for recycling has led to the establishment of public waste containers in public areas, generally assigned to a particular type of waste (plastics, glasses, cardboard ...). In order to minimize the bulk of these containers, particularly in urban areas, as well as for aesthetic reasons, some of these containers are buried, that is to say they are located below the ground level, leaving no exceed a collector by which users can introduce their waste.

A buried container therefore requires the establishment in the ground of a pit comprising a bottom and side walls delimiting inside a receiving space for said container, and whose upper part is open to allow the establishment and removing said container, and allowing the collector to protrude from the ground. The pit is located in the ground, the upper part of it flush with the ground.

This configuration, if it makes it possible to meet the constraints of reducing the size and concealment of the containers, presents an additional constraint. The upper part of the pit being open, in the absence of a container inside thereof, there is a significant danger of falling in the receiving space of the container, especially for children.

It is necessary to provide safety devices to prevent any fall. It was proposed to surround the pit location with gates to prevent access. However, security is imperfect since such barriers can be crossed. In addition, when removing and placing the container, it must be hoisted and moved over these barriers. It often happens that the container collides with the barriers, weakening it and compromising the security of the site.

It has therefore been proposed to provide the pit with a closure mechanism of its open part. Such a mechanism generally comprises a platform or a shutter that closes the open part in the absence of a container.

The platform moves vertically in the pit from the bottom of the latter to the open surface it comes close. A counterweight is connected to the platform by a cable and a pulley, the mass of this counterweight being greater than the mass of an adult, and less than the mass of an empty container.

The container is set up on the platform, which rests at the bottom. During the removal of the container, the platform rises, under the effect of the counterweight that goes down. The platform stabilizes on the surface and closes the pit. When the container is put back in place, the weight of the container causes the platform to descend to the bottom and raise the counterweight.

This configuration, however, has disadvantages. The counterweight is always suspended by the cable connecting it to the platform. The cable is therefore permanently stressed in tension. This results in accelerated aging of the cable, and therefore the risk of rupture thereof. Another disadvantage is that the shutter is obtained in the absence of significant mass on the platform, less than the mass of the counterweight. However, many children who are together on the platform or a motor vehicle may exceed the mass of the counterweight. The platform then descends, no longer closing the pit.

Manual locking systems of the platform in the high position have been proposed. However, they can be damaged or intentionally unlocked, which limits their interest.

In another configuration, flaps articulated by hinges at the upper part of the side walls of the pit are biased by springs to close off the open part of the pit. The stiffness of the springs is determined to be less than the pressure exerted by the weight of an empty container, so that when placing the container, the flaps take up a folded position leaving the pit open. A mechanism locks the shutters in the up position. This mechanism is provided with pedals projecting above the flaps to control the unlocking. Accidental or intentional actuation of these unlocking pedals may cause the flaps to open, leaving the pit open, canceling the expected securing. Moreover, when the container is in place, the flaps are retracted, and the springs are then deformed in compression. As the container is in place in the pit almost all of the time, the springs are compressed almost continuously. This results in a rapid wear thereof and an alteration of their mechanical properties that can compromise the closure of the shutters for locking.

PRESENTATION DE L'INVENTIONPRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION

The invention aims to solve at least some of the aforementioned drawbacks, by proposing an assembly ensuring the securing of the pit by an automatic closing of its open part during the removal of a container and the automatic reopening thereof when replacing the container, without risk of accidental opening and without mechanical stress of the assembly when the container is in place.

For this purpose, it is proposed a set of reception of a buried container comprising
  • a container,
  • a pit delimiting a receiving space for the container, said pit being open on its upper part,
  • a platform movable between a position at the bottom of the pit and a position at the top of the pit in which the open part of the pit is closed by the platform, notable in that the container and the platform each have a coupling member complementary to the other, said complementary members being adapted to mate during the establishment of the container and to uncouple when removing the container outside the pit.

  • un organe d'accouplement est un organe mâle et l'autre organe d'accouplement est un organe femelle comprenant un espace de réception pour l'organe mâle, l'organe femelle comprenant au moins une mâchoire déplaçable entre une position fermée dans laquelle ladite mâchoire obture au moins partiellement l'espace d'accouplement et une position ouverte dans laquelle l'obturation de l'espace d'accouplement est moins importante que dans la position fermée, ladite mâchoire étant sollicitée en position fermée par au moins un ressort de rappel exerçant une force de rappel sur ladite mâchoire ;
  • l'organe mâle et la mâchoire sont conformés pour que la force de retrait exercée par l'organe mâle s'oppose à la force de rappel du ressort de rappel par la coopération entre l'organe mâle et la mâchoire ;
  • l'ensemble comprend également un cadre coiffant la périphérie de la fosse et un mécanisme de verrouillage adapté pour verrouiller audit cadre la plate-forme dans sa position haute ;
  • la plate-forme comprend des pênes déplaçables entre une position de verrouillage et une position de déverrouillage, et dans lequel le cadre comprend des gâches pour accueillir lesdits pênes en position de verrouillage lorsque la plate-forme est dans sa position haute ;
  • le conteneur comprend des pieds et la plate-forme comprend des ouvertures adaptées pour recevoir lesdits pieds, les pênes en position de verrouillage s'étendant partiellement en face desdites ouvertures, et étant configurés pour libérer lesdites ouvertures en position de déverrouillage ;
The assembly is advantageously completed by the following features, taken alone or in any of their technically possible combinations:
  • a coupling member is a male member and the other coupling member is a female member comprising a receiving space for the male member, the female member comprising at least one jaw movable between a closed position in which said jaw at least partially closes the mating space and a position open in which the closure of the mating space is less than in the closed position, said jaw being urged in the closed position by at least one return spring exerting a restoring force on said jaw;
  • the male member and the jaw are shaped so that the withdrawal force exerted by the male member opposes the return force of the return spring by the cooperation between the male member and the jaw;
  • the assembly also comprises a frame capping the periphery of the pit and a locking mechanism adapted to lock said frame the platform in its upper position;
  • the platform comprises bolts movable between a locking position and an unlocking position, and wherein the frame comprises latches for receiving said bolts in the locking position when the platform is in its high position;
  • the container comprises feet and the platform comprises apertures adapted to receive said feet, the bolts in the locking position extending partially opposite said openings, and being configured to release said openings in the unlocked position;
  • the platform has passages adapted to allow the container to rest on the bottom of the pit when platform is positioned at the bottom of the pit.

The invention also relates to a method of using the assembly according to the invention, in which during the establishment of the container in the pit:
  • the container is brought onto the platform,
  • the coupling members mate with each other, solidarisant the platform and the container,
  • the container and the platform thus secured are lowered to the bottom of the pit.

Similarly, when removing the container from the pit:
  • the container and the platform are raised from the bottom of the pit until the platform reaches the top of the pit, said container and said platform being secured by the coupling of their coupling members ,
  • the platform hangs at the top of the pit while the removal of the container continues,
  • the withdrawal force exerted by the container uncouples the coupling members.

Preferably, the assembly comprises a frame capping the periphery of the pit and a locking mechanism adapted to lock said frame to the platform in its upper position, and:
  • placing the container on the platform causes the platform to be unlocked on the frame when the container is placed in the pit, and
  • removal of the container when the platform has reached the high position causes locking of the platform on the frame.

DESCRIPTION DETAILLEEDETAILED DESCRIPTION

With reference to the appended figures, which illustrate an embodiment possible in a non-limiting manner, the reception unit comprises a container 1, generally intended to receive waste, also called tank. In general, the container 1 is made of metal, and has a cylindrical or parallelepipedal shape, but other shapes and materials can be used. Commonly, and as illustrated in the figures, the bottom of the container 1 consists of doors 2 through which the container 1 can be emptied of the objects which have been introduced through a drain (not shown) emerging from the surface of the container. soil when the container 1 is disposed in the pit 3.

The pit 3 a receiving space for the container 1 and has an open portion 4 at the top 5 of the pit. The container 1 is placed in the pit 3 and removed from it via this open part 5. The pit 3 is formed in the ground, the top 5 of the pit 3 is generally flush with the ground surface. The pit comprises a bottom 6 closing it down. The pit 3 is typically made of concrete, but any other suitable material can be used, such as metal such as steel. The pit 3 may have any suitable shape to allow the introduction and removal of the container 1.

Sur la figure 5, la plate-forme 7 est montrée dans sa position au fond 6 de la fosse 3.The assembly also comprises a platform 7 movable between a position at the bottom 6 of the pit 3 and a position at the top 5 of the pit 3 in which the opening of the pit 3 is closed by the platform 7. the figure 1 , the platform 7 is shown in its position at the top 5 of the pit 3. On the figure 5 , the platform 7 is shown in its position at the bottom 6 of the pit 3.

The platform 7 is metallic, and preferably made of steel. It is the platform 7 which, by closing the open part 4 of the pit 3, makes it possible to secure the latter by preventing any accidental fall into the pit 3.

The container 1 and the platform 7 each have a coupling member 8, 9 complementary to the other, said coupling members 8, 9 being adapted to mate during the introduction of the container 1 and for to uncouple when removing the container 1 outside the pit 3.

More specifically, a coupling member is a male member 8 and the other coupling member is a female member 9 comprising a coupling space 10 for the insertion of the male member 8. In the illustrated example, it is the coupling member of the container 1 which is the male member 8 and it is the coupling member of the platform 7 which is the female member 9. The opposite would also be possible.

As visible on the figures 2 and 3 , the female member 9 comprises at least one jaw 11 movable between a closed position in which said jaw 11 at least partially closes the coupling space 10 and an open position in which the closing of the coupling space 10 is less important than in the closed position. Thus, in its closed position and when the male member 8 is inserted into the coupling space 10, the jaw keeps the male member 8 in the coupling space 10, as in the figure 2 , while the open position of the jaw 11 allows insertion and removal of the male member 8 in the coupling space 10.

The male member 8 projects downwards from the container 1 and here comprises a vertically extending rod 12 terminated by a head 13 of wider section than the rod 12. The respective surfaces of the male member 8 and the jaw 11 when the male member 8 is in the coupling space 10 of the female member 9 and the jaw 11 is in the closed position have forms adapted to prevent the locking of the male member 8 by the jaw 11. The head 13 thus has convex surfaces, at least in the vertical direction, that is to say in the direction of movement of the container 1 during its removal and its introduction. Similarly, the jaw 11 has a convex shape in the coupling space 10.

The jaw 11 is urged towards its closed position by at least one return spring 14 exerting a restoring force on said jaw 11. The spring is arranged so as to push the jaw 11 into the coupling space 10. Thus, in the absence of the male member 8 in the coupling space 10, as on the figure 3 the jaw 11 is in the closed position. The jaw 11 is mounted on a pivot 15 eccentric with respect to the biasing direction of the return spring 13. Thus, the jaw 11 pivots when a force exerted on it exceeds the force exerted on the return spring 13.

In the closed position, the jaw 11 protrudes into the coupling space 10 and thus forms in said coupling space 10 a lower section of the neck than the head 13 of the male member 8. In the open position, the jaw 11 releases into the mating space 10 a sufficient section to pass the head 13 of the male member 8.

Cette course libre est d'au moins 15 mm, de préférence d'au moins 30 mm.The coupling space 10 has a sufficient extension in the vertical direction to allow, in the closed position of the jaw 11, a free travel of coupling members: the male member 8 can thus move at least vertically in the coupling space 10, without uncoupling. This free stroke is at least 15 mm, preferably at least 30 mm.

Le cadre 16 est par exemple vissé à la fosse 3.The assembly also comprises a frame 16 covering the periphery of the pit 3 and a locking mechanism 17 adapted to lock the platform 7 in its upper position to said frame 16. The frame 16 is for example screwed to the pit 3.

With reference to the figure 4 which shows in more detail a locking mechanism 17, the platform 7 comprises bolts 18 movable between a locking position and an unlocking position. In the locking position, the bolts 18 protrude outside the platform 7 while the bolts 18 are retracted in the unlocked position. Bolt springs 19 bias the bolts 18 toward their locking positions.

The frame 16 includes strikes 20 configured to receive the bolts 18 in the locking position when the platform 7 is in its high position. Preferably, the ends of the bolts 18 intended to engage the latches 20 have upwardly facing chamfers, and downwardly facing planar surfaces. Each bolt spring 19 is sized to exert on the bolts 18 a force greater than 100 N, preferably in a direction substantially perpendicular to the vertical. The stroke of the bolts 18 between their locking position and their unlocking position is for example 17 mm.

The platform 7 comprises openings 21 in front of which partially extend the bolts 18 in the locking position. In the unlocked position, the bolts 18 release these openings 21. Specifically, the bolts 18 comprise holes 22, which in the locking position, are partially eccentric with respect to the openings 21 of the platform 7, and are centered relative at said openings 21 in the unlocked position.

The container 1 comprises feet 23, and the openings 21 of the platform 7 are adapted to receive said feet 23. Preferably, the ends of the legs 23 have a narrowing 24, adopting for example a frustoconical shape. Also preferably, the parts of the bolts 18 extending into the openings have chamfers on their edges. So when feet 23 are introduced into the openings 21 of the platform 7, the cooperation of the feet 23 and bolts 18, by the sliding of the surfaces of their edges, causes the displacement of the bolts 18 to their unlocking position, against the springs urging them. On the other hand, the withdrawal of the feet 23 causes the bolts 18 to move towards their locking position.

The openings 21 of the platform 7 are opposite the feet 23 of the container 1 when it is put in place. At each foot 23 of the container 1 is associated a bolt 18 of the locking system, extending in the opening 21 opposite said foot 23. As are the bolts 18 which lock the platform 7 to the frame 16, the unlocking of the platform 7 requires that in each opening 21 is engaged a foot 23 of the container 1, to cause the release of each bolt 18. As a result, the unlocking of the platform 7 relative to the frame 16 can not intervene only in the presence of a correctly placed container 1. This avoids any risk of accident due to accidental unlocking of the platform.

In addition, as it is expected that the coupling of the complementary members 8,9 occurs before the lowering of the feet 23 of the container 1 moves the bolts 18 in the unlocked position, it is ensured that the unlocking only intervenes after mating, preventing any risk of accidental fall of the platform 7.

As shown on the figure 3 , the platform 7 may comprise on its periphery centering cones 25 projecting upwards and intended to cooperate with downwardly open centering holes 26 formed in the frame 16, in order to guide the platform 7 during of his ascent.

The invention will be better understood by detailing the placement and removal and a container 1 in the pit 3. The figure 1 shows an overview of the pit 3 in the receiving space of which there is no container 1. The platform 7 is in position at the top of the pit 3. The pit 3 has in its bottom 6 support pads 27 adapted to support the container 1 when the platform 7 is positioned at the bottom 6 of the pit 3. The container 1 is shown above the platform 7, being put in place.

The figure 3 illustrates an example of a bolt 18 engaged in a strike 20 locking the platform 7. Several of them are provided on the periphery of the frame 16. For example, in the case of a frame 16 of rectangular or square shape, four locking mechanisms 17 may be provided, one per corner or one side of the frame 16.

As illustrated on the figure 3 the bolts 18 of the platform 7 are engaged in the strikers 20 of the frame 16. They are therefore in the locking position. In this position, the springs urging the bolts 18 to their locked position undergo few constraints. The holes 22 formed in the bolts 18 are eccentric with respect to the openings in the platform 7, partially closing the openings 21. More precisely, the holes in the bolts 18 are eccentric towards the spring.

On the figure 3 , the container 1 is shown with feet 23 having begun to engage in the openings in the platform 7. In order to facilitate the insertion of these feet 23, their ends preferably have a narrowing 24, adopting here a frustoconical shape. Similarly, the openings 21 may have an upward flare. This allows the feet 23 to be used to center the container 1 with respect to the platform 7 during its descent.

C'est la configuration illustrée sur la figure 4.As the container 1 goes down, these feet 23 will engage deeper into the openings, until the bolts 18 are reached. The force exerted by the container 1, essentially due to the weight of the container 1, is slippery. the chamfers of the edges of the holes 22 formed in the bolts 18 with respect to the surfaces of the ends of the feet 23, so as to align the holes 21 of the bolts 18, the openings 22 of the platform 7, and the feet 23 of the container 1 The bolts 18 therefore move in the opposite direction to the biasing of the bolt spring 19, that is to say towards their unlocking position. This movement disengages the latches 18 from the latches 20 of the frame 16. The platform 7 is then no longer locked to the frame 16. This is the configuration illustrated in FIG. figure 4 .

The figure 2 shows the coupling members 8, 9 of the container 1 and the platform 7 before coupling, while the figure 4 shows these coupling members 8, 9 when coupled.

On the figure 2 , the male member 8 is opposite the coupling space 10 of the female member 9. The jaw 11 is in the closed position, closing the mating space 10. When the container 1 is lowered on the plate -form 7, the male member 8 fits into the coupling space 10. The head 13 of the male member 8 presses on the jaw 11, exerting on it a force opposite to that exerted by the return spring 14. The large mass of the container 1, more than 200 kg, for example 650 kg, implies that a significant force is exerted on the jaw 11, exceeding the restoring force of the spring, typically less than 1000 N, for example 850 N. The jaw 11 moves therefore, releasing the coupling space 10, and allowing the insertion of the male member 8 into the coupling space 10.

As the head 13 of the male member 8 has an upper section to the rod 12 of the male member 8, once the head 13 inserted, the jaw 11 partially returns to close the mating space 10. The jaw 11, always biased by the return spring 14, thus opposes the withdrawal of the head 13 of the coupling space 10, and thus the uncoupling of the coupling members 8, 9. The coupling members 8, 9 are configured to withstand a decoupling force greater than the weight of the platform 7, and to disconnect when the uncoupling force exceeds a release threshold greater than the weight of the platform, preferably at least twice as much, or even at least three times.

Thus, the stiffness of the return spring 14 and the respective shapes of the jaw 11 and the male member 8 are chosen so that the platform 7 can be suspended from the container 1 without causing disengagement. Typically, platform 7 has a mass less than 100 kg, for example 65 kg, while uncoupling requires a decoupling force greater than a release threshold of 1600 N.

The platform 7 being unlocked, and the container 1 and the platform 7 thus being coupled, the platform 7 is suspended from the container 1. In order to prevent the platform 7 from falling, the The couplings are designed so that their coupling intervenes before unlocking the locking mechanisms 17. For example, it is possible for a stroke of the container 1 to be at least 30 mm downwards with respect to the platform 7 to be necessary after the coupling of the coupling members so that the locking mechanisms 17 unlock the platform 7 of the frame 16. For this purpose, the coupling members 8, 9 are preferably configured to allow a relative movement between them in the vertical direction of at least 15 mm, and preferably at least 30 mm.

Les figures 4 et 5 montrent le conteneur 1 et la plate-forme 7 lorsqu'ils sont arrivés au fond 6 de la fosse 3.The container 1 and the platform 7 suspended to said container 1 are then lowered into the pit 3. The figures 4 and 5 show the container 1 and the platform 7 when they arrived at the bottom 6 of the pit 3.

The platform 7 is positioned at the bottom 6 of the pit 3, and more precisely between said bottom 6 and the container 1. The platform 7 has passages adapted to allow the container 1 to rest on the bottom 6 of the pit 3 when platform 7 is positioned at the bottom 6 of the pit 3. More specifically, the pit 3 and / or the container 1 may comprise bearing pads, and passages 28 are formed in the platform 7, to through which the support pads pass 27.

These support pads 27 make it possible to rest the container 1, not on the platform 7, but on the bottom 6 of the pit 3, by means of said bearing pads 27. Preferably, the pads of support 27 are positioned at the container doors 1, which ensures the closure.

Supports are provided to raise the platform 7 relative to its suspension position, which corresponded to coupling members 8, 9 in their lower end of their free stroke. These supports can be, as on the figures 4 and 5 , the bearing pads 27, which have a section widening downwards, supports the platform 7 at a height where this section becomes greater than that of the passages 28. These supports could also be supports dedicated to the bottom 6 of the pit 3, not crossing the platform 7.

Thus, during the descent of the container 1 and the platform 7 at the bottom 6 of the pit 3, the platform 7 is first rest on the supports at the bottom 6 of the pit 3. The free movement of the organs 8, 9 allows then to continue the descent of the container 1 to rest on the support pads 27. The respective heights of the positions of the platform 7 and the container 1 are chosen so that the feet 23 of the container 1 withdraw sufficiently from the openings 21 to allow the bolts 18 to resume a locking position, in which the bolt spring is not biased. The withdrawal of the feet 23 may not be total, as shown in the figures, where however the decreasing section of the feet 23 at their narrowing 24 makes their upward movement relative to the platform 7 allows a movement of bolts 18 to their locking positions.

Since the container 1 has only left the pit 3 to be emptied and replaced immediately afterwards, the configuration in which the platform 7 and the container 1 are at the bottom 6 of the pit 3 represents the usual configuration for more than 99% of the time. In this configuration, unlike the state of the art, no part of the coupling or locking system is constrained. Aging and wear of the whole is therefore greatly reduced.

To remove the container 1, it is lifted vertically. The coupling members 8, 9, always coupled, move relative to each other on their free stroke. More specifically, the head 13 of the male member 8 rises in the coupling space 10 until it comes into contact with the jaw 11. The sole weight of the platform 7 is not sufficient to overcome the force restoring force exerted by the return spring 14, the organs remain coupled. The platform 7 is suspended from the container 1, and raised with him.

La plate-forme 7 est alors dans sa position en haut 5 de la fosse 3.The container 1 and the platform 7 which is suspended up to it until the platform 7 reaches the top 5 of the pit 3. The centering cones 25 of the platform 7 engage in the holes centering 26 of the frame 16, guiding the platform 7 during the final part of its ascent. The raising of the platform 7 is stopped by the frame 16. The platform 7 is then in its position at the top 5 of the pit 3.

On retrouve la configuration illustrée par la figure 3.As the container 1 continues to be reassembled, the feet 23 completely disengage from the openings of the platform 7, allowing the bolts 18 to move between the locking position and the unlocking position. The chamfers at the ends of the bolts 18 allow the bolts 18 to retract into the unlocked position at the approach of the strikes 20, when the bolts 18 rest on the frame 16. Arrived opposite the strikers 20, the bolts 18 extend into their locking position, similar to the closing of a door. The platform 7 is then locked to the frame 16. We find the configuration illustrated by the figure 3 .

On retrouve donc la configuration illustrée par la figure 1.The container 1 continues, but the platform 7 is now locked to the frame 16, and therefore no longer goes up. The uncoupling force exerted on the coupling members 8, 9 then exceeds the weight of the platform 7, and reaches the release threshold beyond which the restoring force exerted by the return spring 14 does not allow not to the jaw 11 to remain in closed position. The jaw 11 pivots, releasing the output of the coupling space 10. The head 13 of the male member 8 then emerges from the coupling space 10. The coupling members are then decoupled. The jaw 11 then resumes its closed position. We find the configuration illustrated by the figure 2 . The container 1 is then released from the pit 3 and disengaged from the platform 7. There is therefore the configuration illustrated by the figure 1 .
