This kind of construction has very similar construction to cone shape which fully utilizes the membrane state i.e. complete utilization of principal stresses on both direction omnited the bending stiffness and eliminated maintenance and stood over of grain on the connection of funnel with cylindrical part of silo. The screws using allows for easy funnel reparing.
