Definitions
- the invention relates to a piece of jewelry according to claim 1.
- Pieces of jewelry are known in different embodiments and can be implemented, for example, as a ring, bracelet, pendant, earring or parts of a necklace or as a watch, glasses, perfume bottle.
- the pieces of jewelry are typically made of a precious metal or a precious metal alloy and hold in one or more sockets Gemstones.
- Other embodiments consist of steel, aluminum, ceramic or other metals or alloys.
- a piece of jewelry which has at least one gemstone movably mounted in a recess of a base body.
- the gemstone is mounted in the recess at least tiltable about its vertical axis by means of a bracket spanning the recess.
- the object of the invention is to create a piece of jewelry that creates an alternative movable mounting of a gemstone in a setting.
- the setting is also referred to as a gemstone because it forms a unit together with a gemstone.
- this object is achieved by the features of claim 1.
- the recess is closed by a transparent cover and the at least one gemstone rolls on an inner circumferential wall of the recess or on an inner circumferential wall of an insert inserted into the recess when the piece of jewelry is moved .
- the at least one gemstone experiences a change in position relative to the base body and thus adopts a different orientation to the incident light. Since the gemstone is exposed to light over its entire length, impressive optical effects and effects can be achieved.
- the inner circumferential wall of the recess or that of the insert has mirror effects, so that the at least a gemstone is practically irradiated on the back as well.
- the insert forms a bushing and can consist of a different material than the base body in the region of the recess.
- the insert consists of a metallic or glass-like material.
- the at least one gemstone In order to prevent the at least one gemstone from striking the cover with great force when the piece of jewelry moves, it is advantageous if the at least one gemstone is almost gap-free and thus with only minimal play between a bottom of the recess or a bottom of the insert and the cover is stored.
- a smooth rolling movement of the at least one gemstone through 360 ° along the inner circumferential wall in both directions can be achieved if the at least one gemstone and the inner circumferential wall are conical.
- the inner circumferential wall is also curved in a convex manner. With a straight outer peripheral wall of the gem, this creates only a small contact area and in particular a tangential contact area between the at least one gem and the inner peripheral wall, whereby a rolling movement of the gem can be achieved by even the smallest movements of the gem.
- At least one decorative element such as another gemstone, lettering, metallic inlay and the like can be used at least in the inner circumferential wall and / or in a contact surface for the cover.
- a transition surface is formed between the inner circumferential wall and the radial extension.
- the transition surface is preferably a plateau-like ring surface and can be used to achieve further optical effects.
- the transition surface is also provided with at least one decorative element such as another gemstone, lettering, metallic inlay or the like.
- the cover is preferably an optical glass body.

- the cover can be adjusted so that the optical effects of the at least one gemstone and / or the at least further jewelry element is changed.
- the object equipped with the movably mounted gemstone as a piece of jewelry for example, it is also intended to realize the object as a commodity.
- the at least partially transparent cover can be, for example, a flat or curved pane of glass.
- lattice-like or net-like covers are encompassed by the at least regionally transparent design.
- the transparent properties are provided here by the distances between the grid-like or net-like structures.
- the cover With a corresponding design of the cover from a basically non-transparent material and a provision of the at least partially transparent properties through one or more recesses in this material, it is particularly intended to arrange the recesses in those areas of the cover that are not intended for direct contact with the Gemstones are provided and therefore do not serve to limit the potential range of motion of the gemstone.
- the first embodiment according to the invention shown is a piece of jewelry (1) designed as a finger ring with an annular base body (2) which is provided with a gemstone (4).
- the gemstone (4) is movably mounted in a receiving space (6) of an insert (8) which is closed by a transparent disk (10).
- the insert (8) is inserted in a recess (12) which is made in a thickened area (14) on the outer circumference of the base body (2).
- the gemstone (4) is a rotationally symmetrical cone. It has a conical circumferential wall (16) which forms a tip (18) on the base and merges into a face (22) on the head via a circumferential edge (20).
- the end face (22) is planar, but it can also be provided with elevations, depressions and / or facets.
- the insert (8) forms a bushing for the gemstone (4) and is preferably made of a metal, a metal alloy or a glass. In the exemplary embodiment shown, it is a rotationally symmetrical conical body which forms the receiving space (6). It has a conical outer peripheral wall (24) and a conical inner peripheral wall (26) which forms a base (28) and merges into a radial extension for receiving the disc (10) and in particular into an annular surface 30 encompassing the inner peripheral wall (26).
- the inner circumferential wall is preferably designed to be light-reflecting or mirror-like.
- the annular surface (30) in turn merges into a cylindrical inner circumferential surface (32) which radially delimits the expansion.
- the insert (8) can also have a convex, cylindrical or similar outer peripheral wall (24).
- the disk (10) is preferably made of an optical glass. It is firmly inserted in the extension and is in contact with the annular surface (30) and the inner circumferential surface (32). In the exemplary embodiment shown, it has a constant thickness and its upper side (34) ends flush with an annular end face (36) of the insert (8) that encompasses it. As indicated by the dashed lines, the disk (10) can, however, also be surrounded by a circumferential bead 38 of the insert (8). In addition, as indicated by the crossed line, the disk (10) can, for example, have a concave top (34 ') or be ground in a different way.
- the recess (12) is made in a plateau surface (40) of the thickening (14) and has an inner circumferential wall or inner wall (42) corresponding to the outer circumferential wall (24) of the insert (8).
- the insert (8) is firmly received in the recess (12) and, for example by means of its outer peripheral wall (24), is glued to the inner wall (42) of the recess. If the insert (8) has, for example, a cylindrical or spherical outer peripheral wall (24), it can also be pressed or mechanically connected to the inner wall (42) of the recess.
- the peripheral wall (16) of the gemstone (4) rests against the inner peripheral wall (26) over its entire length and, depending on the orientation of the insert (8) and thus depending on the positioning of the gem (1), has almost no gap with its tip (18) ) at a distance from the base (28) or with its edge (20) from the disc (10).
- the gemstone (4) rolls on the inner circumferential wall (26) of the insert (8) by 360 °.
- the direction of movement is determined by the direction of movement of the gemstone (1).
- the almost gap-free spacing of the gemstone (4) from the disc (10) or the base (28) prevents the gemstone (4) from hitting the disc (10) with great force when the gem 1 moves, for example. which would represent a shock load for the disc (10) and for the gemstone (4).
- the gemstone (4) rests with its tip (18) on the base (28) and is minimally spaced from the disc (10). From a horizontal alignment of the inner circumferential wall (26) to a vertical overhead alignment of the insert (8), the edge (20) of the gemstone (4) rests on the disc (10) and is minimally spaced from the base (28).
- the one in the Figure 3 The embodiment shown is the inner peripheral wall (26) of the insert (8) in contrast to the previous embodiment according to the Figures 1 and 2 in addition to the conical design, it is convex and thus arched into the receiving space (6).
- the circumferential wall (16) of the gemstone (4) does not lie against the inner circumferential wall (26) over its entire length, but only in a partial area of its length, whereby the gemstone (4) closes even with the smallest movements of the gem (1) Tends to roll off.
- additional decorative elements such as other gemstones, lettering, metallic inlays and the like can be used in the ring surface (30), in the inner circumferential surface (32) and in the inner circumferential wall (26).
- the decorative elements (44a, 44b) are flush with the annular surface (30) and with the inner circumferential surface (32) or are set back relative to this.
- depressions (not shown) for receiving the decorative elements (44a, 44b) in sections can also be formed in the disk (10) be.
- the decorative elements (44c) are flush with the inner circumferential wall (26) or are set back relative to this.
- the insert shown (8) has, in contrast to the previous inserts after Figures 1, 2 and 3 a transition surface (46) which is formed between the conical inner peripheral surface (26) and the annular surface (30).
- the transition surface (46) is spaced apart from the disc (10) and, in the exemplary embodiment shown, is designed as a flat annular surface. It can also have decorative elements (44d, 44e). Because of their spacing from the disk (10), the decorative elements can protrude from the transition surface (46), as indicated by the reference number (44e).
- a piece of jewelry which has at least one gemstone stored in a recess of a base body, the recess being closed by a transparent disk and the at least one gemstone rolling on an inner circumferential wall of the recess or on an inner circumferential wall of an insert inserted into the recess.
- the transparent cover (10) has been described several times in a preferred embodiment as a disk. However, this does not limit the design of the cover (10) to a plate-like or flat construction. In particular, it is also contemplated that the cover (10) should be arched in the manner of a dome.
- the geometry of the dome-like curvature is adapted to the rolling movement of the gemstone in such a way that a sufficiently large interior space is provided.
- the gem (4) is arranged in a mount.
- the socket is designed similar to a hollow cone and holds the gemstone (4) in some areas in an interior space.
- an opening angle of the conical socket is identical to an opening angle of the receiving space (6).
- the corresponding angle values can also differ from one another.
- the receiving space (6) of the insert (8) was usually closed by the transparent pane (10).
- the receiving space (6) is only closed by the disc (10) in those areas which are intended for contact with the gemstone (4).
- the disk (10) can be held laterally by webs or projections in such a way that free spaces remain between these webs or projections.
- Figure 9 shows an embodiment in which the piece of jewelry (1) is designed as a pendant.
- the insert (8) is here conical and is guided with a conical tip (60) in a recess (61) of a transverse web (62).
- the trailer has an edge (63) which holds the disc (10). Further gemstones can be arranged in the area of the edge (63).
- Figure 10 shows a representation similar to an exploded view to illustrate a further embodiment.
- the insert (8) here has a shell-like outer contour.
- the disc (10) has a curved contour.
- Sapphire glass for example, can be used as the material for the disk (10).
- Figure 10 also illustrates another embodiment of the disc (10).
- a correspondingly flat design of the disk (10) can also be realized using sapphire glass.
- the pane (10) can be connected to the insert (8), for example, by gluing.
- Figure 11 shows an embodiment in which the piece of jewelry (1) is designed as a ring.
- the insert (8) here has a shell-like outer contour and is provided with a plurality of decorative elements in the area of an edge.
- decorative stones or engravings can be used as decorative elements.
- One or more gemstones (4) can be positioned in the area of the insert (8).
- Figure 12 illustrates in a greatly simplified representation a possible holding principle for a movable mounting of the gemstone (4). It is essential that the gemstone (4) is limited in the direction of a longitudinal axis (64) within a mount, but is movable around the longitudinal axis (64) and can, for example, perform a rotational movement and / or a tilting movement.
- Figure 13 shows a further embodiment.
- the insert (8) can be optimized in the form of a bushing.
- the implementation of a rolling movement of the gemstone (4) is particularly supported here.
- a running surface is created that enables a conical insert (8) to roll back and forth on this surface.
- the shifting of the center as well as a special design of the running surface determine the formation of the rolling effect and the distance that the conical insert (8) can cover.
- the bushing is used, for example, in the area of a chain pendant or an ear pendant. This results in an essentially horizontal alignment of the viewing direction into the liner. It thus becomes a curved interior Boundary surface of the liner provided on which a mount holding the gemstone can roll or roll back and forth from left to right and back again in the given viewing direction.
- the design will be according to Figure 13 modified again.
- the center of the conical insert (8) is shifted asymmetrically. This changes the position of the conical insert (8) so that the rolling effect is limited. This causes a rolling movement only in the lower part. Shifting the center prevents the cone from tilting.
- the transparent cover (10) has been described several times in a preferred embodiment as a disk. However, this does not limit the design of the cover (10) to a plate-like or flat construction. In particular, it is also contemplated that the cover (10) should be arched in the manner of a dome. The geometry of the dome-like curvature is adapted to the rolling movement of the gemstone in such a way that a sufficiently large interior space is provided.
- the gem (4) is arranged in a mount (47).
- the socket is designed similar to a hollow cone and holds the gemstone (4) in some areas in an interior (48).
- an opening angle of the conical socket is identical to an opening angle of the receiving space (6).
- the corresponding angle values can also differ from one another.
- the outer surfaces of the gemstones (4) provided for carrying out the movement sequences can be those in Figure 1 have recognizable cone-like contour and roll on cone-like bounded inner surfaces of the receiving spaces (6). In principle, however, almost any other external contours assigned to one another can also be implemented.
- a continuous sequence of movements is sought for carrying out the movements of the gemstones (4).
- Such a sequence of movements is supported by continuously curved surfaces.
- surfaces that are curved in the manner of a spherical segment, oval designs or other curved surface courses are also conceivable, for example.
- a discontinuous sequence of movements can also be aimed for, which is achieved, for example, by non-continuously curved surface courses.
- angular structures, projections or depressions in the area of the surfaces sliding on one another are conceivable for this.
- Figure 15 shows a further variant in which the piece of jewelry (1) is designed as a ring.
- the embodiment according to Figure 16 shows an embodiment of the piece of jewelry (1) as a ring, here two cone-like inserts (8), each with a gemstone (4) are arranged below the transparent disc (10).
- Figure 17 and Figure 18 each also show embodiments with a design of the piece of jewelry (1) as a ring.
- a conical insert (8) each with a gemstone (4) is arranged below the disc (10).
- a plurality of further gemstones, which can be arranged in a fixed or movable manner, are positioned in the area of an edge surrounding the disk (10).
- Figure 19 shows various other embodiments in different perspective representations for the formation of the piece of jewelery (1) as a ring, with an insert (8) each with a gemstone (4) being arranged under a dome-like disc (10).
- decorative elements are provided in the area of an edge encompassing the disk (10), for example further precious stones or engravings.
- Comparable training courses are also available in Figure 21 illustrated.
- the medallion-like pendants implemented here are intended to be worn on a chain, for example.
- the insert (8) is arranged in the area of a perfume bottle. In the illustrated embodiment, this takes place in the area of a closure of the perfume bottle.
- the arrangement of the insert (8) takes place in the area of a writing implement.
- An upper end of the writing implement for example a pen, is preferred here.
- Figure 26 shows the arrangement of the insert (8) as a decorative element in the area of glasses.
- Figure 27 again illustrates the arrangement of movably mounted gemstones in the area of rings or plugs.
- Figure 28 shows again an arrangement of the insert (8) as a decorative element in the area of glasses.

The object of the invention is to create a piece of jewelry that creates an alternative movable mounting of a gemstone in a setting.
In the following, the setting is also referred to as a gemstone because it forms a unit together with a gemstone. According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of
As a result of the rolling movements of the at least one gemstone when the object moves, the at least one gemstone experiences a change in position relative to the base body and thus adopts a different orientation to the incident light. Since the gemstone is exposed to light over its entire length, impressive optical effects and effects can be achieved.
Particularly in the case of diamonds or precious stones or other faceted bodies, this supports perfect radiance and brilliance in a multitude of different nuances. In particular, even if the inner circumferential wall of the recess or that of the insert has mirror effects, so that the at least a gemstone is practically irradiated on the back as well. When using an insert, it forms a bushing and can consist of a different material than the base body in the region of the recess. In particular, the insert consists of a metallic or glass-like material.
In order to prevent the at least one gemstone from striking the cover with great force when the piece of jewelry moves, it is advantageous if the at least one gemstone is almost gap-free and thus with only minimal play between a bottom of the recess or a bottom of the insert and the cover is stored.
A smooth rolling movement of the at least one gemstone through 360 ° along the inner circumferential wall in both directions can be achieved if the at least one gemstone and the inner circumferential wall are conical.
In an alternative exemplary embodiment, the inner circumferential wall is also curved in a convex manner. With a straight outer peripheral wall of the gem, this creates only a small contact area and in particular a tangential contact area between the at least one gem and the inner peripheral wall, whereby a rolling movement of the gem can be achieved by even the smallest movements of the gem.
To increase the optical effects when light falls, at least one decorative element such as another gemstone, lettering, metallic inlay and the like can be used at least in the inner circumferential wall and / or in a contact surface for the cover.
In order to prevent damage to the cover in its edge area, it is advantageous if the cover is inserted into a radial extension of the recess or the insert.
In one embodiment, a transition surface is formed between the inner circumferential wall and the radial extension.
The transition surface is preferably a plateau-like ring surface and can be used to achieve further optical effects. For example, the transition surface is also provided with at least one decorative element such as another gemstone, lettering, metallic inlay or the like.
The cover is preferably an optical glass body. In this way, the cover can be adjusted in such a way that the optical effect of the moving gemstone and / or the at least further jewelry element can be perceived in a pure and unadulterated manner. Alternatively, the cover can be adjusted so that the optical effects of the at least one gemstone and / or the at least further jewelry element is changed.
As an alternative to a design that is not part of the invention, the object equipped with the movably mounted gemstone as a piece of jewelry, for example, it is also intended to realize the object as a commodity. In particular, it is also contemplated to design the object as a vase, handbag, item of clothing, shoe or perfumery.
The at least partially transparent cover can be, for example, a flat or curved pane of glass. However, it is also possible to generate the transparent properties of the cover not through the actual material selection, but rather through the geometric design of the cover. For example, lattice-like or net-like covers are encompassed by the at least regionally transparent design. The transparent properties are provided here by the distances between the grid-like or net-like structures.
With a corresponding design of the cover from a basically non-transparent material and a provision of the at least partially transparent properties through one or more recesses in this material, it is particularly intended to arrange the recesses in those areas of the cover that are not intended for direct contact with the Gemstones are provided and therefore do not serve to limit the potential range of motion of the gemstone.

In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the gemstone (4) is a rotationally symmetrical cone. It has a conical circumferential wall (16) which forms a tip (18) on the base and merges into a face (22) on the head via a circumferential edge (20). In the exemplary embodiment shown, the end face (22) is planar, but it can also be provided with elevations, depressions and / or facets.
The insert (8) forms a bushing for the gemstone (4) and is preferably made of a metal, a metal alloy or a glass. In the exemplary embodiment shown, it is a rotationally symmetrical conical body which forms the receiving space (6). It has a conical outer peripheral wall (24) and a conical inner peripheral wall (26) which forms a base (28) and merges into a radial extension for receiving the disc (10) and in particular into an
The inner circumferential wall is preferably designed to be light-reflecting or mirror-like. The annular surface (30) in turn merges into a cylindrical inner circumferential surface (32) which radially delimits the expansion. Instead of a conical outer peripheral wall (24), the insert (8) can also have a convex, cylindrical or similar outer peripheral wall (24).
The disk (10) is preferably made of an optical glass.
The recess (12) is made in a plateau surface (40) of the thickening (14) and has an inner circumferential wall or inner wall (42) corresponding to the outer circumferential wall (24) of the insert (8). The insert (8) is firmly received in the recess (12) and, for example by means of its outer peripheral wall (24), is glued to the inner wall (42) of the recess. If the insert (8) has, for example, a cylindrical or spherical outer peripheral wall (24), it can also be pressed or mechanically connected to the inner wall (42) of the recess.
The peripheral wall (16) of the gemstone (4) rests against the inner peripheral wall (26) over its entire length and, depending on the orientation of the insert (8) and thus depending on the positioning of the gem (1), has almost no gap with its tip (18) ) at a distance from the base (28) or with its edge (20) from the disc (10). When the piece of
With a vertical orientation up to a slightly inclined orientation of the insert (8), the gemstone (4) rests with its tip (18) on the base (28) and is minimally spaced from the disc (10). From a horizontal alignment of the inner circumferential wall (26) to a vertical overhead alignment of the insert (8), the edge (20) of the gemstone (4) rests on the disc (10) and is minimally spaced from the base (28).

A piece of jewelry is disclosed which has at least one gemstone stored in a recess of a base body, the recess being closed by a transparent disk and the at least one gemstone rolling on an inner circumferential wall of the recess or on an inner circumferential wall of an insert inserted into the recess.

According to the embodiments described above, the receiving space (6) of the insert (8) was usually closed by the transparent pane (10). According to a modified embodiment, the receiving space (6) is only closed by the disc (10) in those areas which are intended for contact with the gemstone (4). For example, the disk (10) can be held laterally by webs or projections in such a way that free spaces remain between these webs or projections.
In an embodiment that is not part of the invention, without the use of an insert (8), it is also possible either to completely close the recess (12) by the disk (10) or to only partially delimit the recess (12) here. to be realized by the disc (10) in those areas which are intended for contact with the gemstone (4).
A correspondingly flat design of the disk (10) can also be realized using sapphire glass. The pane (10) can be connected to the insert (8), for example, by gluing.

According to a typical embodiment, a continuous sequence of movements is sought for carrying out the movements of the gemstones (4). Such a sequence of movements is supported by continuously curved surfaces. As an alternative to the cone-like designs, surfaces that are curved in the manner of a spherical segment, oval designs or other curved surface courses are also conceivable, for example.
According to special embodiments, however, a discontinuous sequence of movements can also be aimed for, which is achieved, for example, by non-continuously curved surface courses. For example, angular structures, projections or depressions in the area of the surfaces sliding on one another are conceivable for this.

The indirect movement of the gemstone mentioned several times above is to be understood in such a way that a setting holding the gemstone executes these movements directly and, due to the mounting of the gemstone in this setting, the gemstone itself performs this movement indirectly due to the movement of the setting.
